AS ELEVEN O'CLOCK, approached, the whole school started to make its way down to the Quidditch stadium.
It was a muggy sort of day with a hint of thunder in the sky. Anastacius and Aelora had make sure to make Coventina eat before leaving.
The team pulled on their scarlet Gryffindor robes, then sat down to listen to Wood's usual pre-match pep talk. "Slytherin has better brooms than us," he began. "No point denying it. But we've got better people on our brooms. We've trained harder than
they have, we've been flying in all weathers -"
"Too true," muttered George Weasley. "I haven't been properly dry since August" "- and we're going to make them rue the day they let that little bit of slime,Malfoy, buy his way onto their team."
"He did not buy his way in the
team!" Narcissa says angrily.
"He did. Not intentionally but he
did." Achilles replies, his words were true.
Draco did not buy his way in on purpose, he merely speak about how
he wished to enter the team and his father did it for him.
Chest heaving with emotion, Wood turned to Coventina. "It'll be down to you, Coventina, to show them that a Seeker has to have something more than a rich father. Get to that Snitch before Malfoy or die trying, Coventina, because we've got to win today, we've got to."
"So no pressure, Coventina" said Fred, winking at her. As they walked out onto the pitch, a roar of noise greeted them; mainly cheers, because Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were anxious to see Slytherin beaten, but the Slytherins in the crowd made their boos and hisses heard, too.
Madam Hooch, the Quidditch teacher, asked Flint and Wood to shake hands, which they did, giving each other threatening stares and gripping rather harder than was necessary. "On my whistle," said Madam Hooch.
"Three... two... one..." With a roar from the crowd to speed them upward, the fourteen players rose toward the leaden sky. Coventina flew higher than any of them, squinting around for the Snitch.
"Yes!" The Gryffindor quidditch players starts cheering for their future model.
"Of course she took that after
Malachi." Achilles shakes his head.
"All right there, Coventina?" yelled Malfoy, shooting underneath her as
though to show off the speed of his broom.
At that very moment, a heavy black
Bludger came pelting toward her; he avoided it so narrowly that she felt it ruffle her hair as it passed.
"Close one, Coventina!" said George, streaking past him with his club in his hand, ready to knock the Bludger back toward a Slytherin.
"That was fuckung close!" Sirius says loudly. "Mister Black." Sirius looks behind him.
"Sorry Minnie but it quidditch time!" He replies carelessly. "And?" Professor McGonagall asks.
"And I am super hot for it."
She saw George give the Bludger a powerful whack in the direction of Adrian Pucey, but the Bludger changed direction in midair and shot straight for her again.
Coventina dropped smoothly and quickly to avoid it, and George managed to hit it hard toward Malfoy.
Once again, the Bludger swerved like a boomerang and shot at Coventina's head. She put on a burst of speed and zoomed toward the other end of the pitch.
She could hear the Bludger whistling along behind her. What was going on? Bludgers never concentrated on one player like this it was their job to try and unseat as many people as possible.
"Another trick?" James tense, he hate that his daughter keep getting in danger like yes, forget the cobra and four head dogs that is hers. His daughter was so innocent in his eyes.
"She will be fine." Achilles says lowly that only James heard. "I know that already thank you." James scoffs.
"What a petulant child, you are acting to be Malachi." He chuckles, "I don't want to talk to you." James looks back at the screen.
Fred Weasley was waiting for the Bludger at the other end. Coventina
ducked as Fred swung at the Bludger with all his might; the Bludger was knocked off course.
"Gotcha!" Fred yelled happily, but he was wrong; as though it was magnetically attracted to Coventina, the Bludger pelted after him once more and she was forced to fly off at full speed.
It had started to rain, Coventina felt heavy drops fall onto her. She didn't have a clue what was going on
in the rest of the game until she heard Lee Jordan, who was commentating, say, "Slytherin lead, sixty points to zero ="
"Anas!" Aelora looked at Anastacius, "Another pest, I know." He whispered.
"I will watch over." Antares came behind them and said calmly.
"And as always, they have each other's back." Marlene smiles brightly.
Rabastan couldn't stop the blush thzt appears on his cheek nor could he stop his brother on commenting. "Aww, my brother is blushing like a schoolar girl."
"Fuck you too, Dolphus."
The Slytherins' superior brooms were clearly doing their jobs, and meanโ while the mad Bludger was doing all it could to knock Coventina out of the air.
Fred and George were now flying so close to him on either side that Coventina could see nothing at all except their flailing arms and had no chance to look for the Snitch, let alone catch it.
"Someone's - tampered - with - this - Bludger -" Fred grunted, swinging his bat with all his might at it as it launched a new attack on Coventina.
"We need time out," said George, trying signal to Wood and stop the Bludger breaking Coventina's nose at the same time. Wood obviously got the message. Madam Hooch's whistle rang out and Coventina, Fred, and George dived for the ground, still trying to avoid the mad Bludger.
"What's going on?" said Wood as the Gryffindor team huddled together, while Slytherins in the crowd jeered. "We're being flattened. Fred, George, where were you when that Bludger stopped Angelina scoring?"
"We were twenty feet above her, stopping the other Bludger from murdering Coventina, Oliver," said George angrily.
"I would be angry too if I was
him." Evan frowns.
"Yes like I do adore quudditch but I wouldn't risk my friend for it." Sirius shrugs.
"Someone's fixed it -it won't leave her alone. It hasn't gone for anyone else all game. The Slytherins must have done something to it." "But the Bludgers have been locked in Madam Hooch's office since our last practice, and there was nothing wrong with them then..." said Wood, anxiously.
Madam Hooch was walking toward them. Over her shoulder, Coventina
could see the Slytherin team jeering and pointing in his direction.
"Listen," said Coventina as she came nearer and nearer, "With you two
flying around me all the time the only way I'm going to catch the Snitch is if it flies up my sleeve. Go back to the rest of the team and let me deal with the rogue one."
"I am banning this game if she get
hurt." Achilles thought annoys. "What
is wrong with me?" He adds.
"You okay? You seems...tense." James asks hesitately.
"I am fine," Achilles replies, "I am not." He thought.
"Don't be thick," said Fred. "It'll take your head off." Wood was looking from Coventina to the Weasleys. "Oliver, this is insane," said Alicia Spinner angrily. "You can't let her deal with that thing on his own. Let's ask for an inquiry!"
"If we stop now, we'll have to forfeit the match." said Coventina. "This is all your fault," George said angrily to Wood. " 'Get the Snitch or die trying,' what a stupid thing to tell him -" Madam Hooch had joined them.
"Ready to resume play?" she asked Wood. Wood looked at the determined look on Coventina's face. "All right," he said. "Fred, George, you heard Coventina -leave him alone and let her deal with the Bludger on her own."
"They are right." Gideon exclaims.
"Our nephews are genius!" Fabian grins proudly. "Unlike the youngest." He murmured.
The rain was falling more heavily now. On Madam Hooch's whistle.
Coventina kicked hard into the air and heard the telltale whoosh of the
Bludger behind him. Higher and higher she climbed; she looped and
swooped, spiraled, zigzagged, and rolled.
Slightly dizzy, she nevertheless
kept her eyes wide open, as she hung upside down, avoiding another fierce dive from the Bludger. The rogue Bludger was heavy and couldn't change direction as quickly as she could.
She began a kind of roller- coaster ride around the edges of the stadium, squinting through the silver sheets of rain to the Gryffindor goal posts, where Adrian Pucey was trying to get past Wood.
She saw it - the Golden Snitch. It was hovering inches above Draco's left ear - and Draco, busy hadn't seen it.
For an agonizing moment, Coventina hung in midair, not daring to speed
toward Draco in case he looked up and saw the Snitch.
WHAM.
"Carefull!!"
James's eyes widened, a squeeze on his hand by Achilles help him a little while Euphemia was deadly worried.
Draco's eyes widened and he quickly speed at Coventina pulling her off her broom to place her on his. "What th-"
"You okay?" Draco asked, "I am fine, Thank you." Coventina answered calmly trying to hide how surprise she was. Everybody was surprised
A Slytherin save a Gryffindor.
A Gryffindor thanks a Slytherin.
And by seeing the snitch in Coventina's hand, one thing was
sure.
Gryffindor wins.
"Thanks Merlin." Sirius let out a relieve sigh with Remina.
"I am so proud of you dragon!" Narcissa and Lilia watchs the screen proudly.
"Amazing job mini Luci!" Rabastan smirks at the glare he gains from Lucius.
Anastacius and Antares was going
to spoil Draco for that
