❝Weird speculations on anniversary. ❞

Estimating the measurement, Johnny Gargano nodded his head as a sign for his friend to attack.

"ARGGGG! Here comes the last shot!" His beloved friend Adam Cole shouted as she slowly attached the cherry on the top of the triple-decker strawberry cake.

"Tada!!!" Adam presented, voiced filled with pure happiness. Johnny couldn't smile at the beautiful cake he baked with the help of Adam and Ricochet.

"Why you desire me up every season
Lick off the spatula and keep it squeaky clean yeah
I'm fallin' off ya tongue like whipping cream n' frosting
Oh, how you got me!" Johnny sings, holding a spatula on his hand as a microphone.

"Do you think Candice will like this?" The Cleveland native asked, wanting for some assurance.

"No." Ricochet shook his head, staring at the cake.

Johnny's eyes widens in panic, "NO?! BLOODY HELL! Let's make another-----"

"'Cause she will LOVE it!" Ricochet and Adam shrieked out in unison, couldn't contain the giggles, putting their arms around on Johnny's shoulder.

Johnny wanted to bake a triple-decker cake as his anniversary gift for his girlfriend Candice later on tonight. He wanted to give her a very special gift, and knowing Candice, her love for sweet things is on the high level, so he thinks a delicious cake, came and made from the heart, could help him.

The very supportive Adam and Ricochet went to Johnny's house early this morning to help him preparing what he needed. They were very excited for the couple. These two young men proclaimed themselves as the biggest shipper of Gargandice since day one.

While washing the dishes, Ricochet looked at the window and saw Candice LeRae stopped over on Tommaso Ciampa's residence.

"Hey, Johnny! Candice is there!" Ricochet called him out, pointing out the window. Johnny immediately approached him and smiles automatically when he saw the lovely girl in purple polka dots dress, which made him feel like floating on cloud seven.

"What's she doing around there?" Adam curiously wondered as they watched Tommaso came out from his house. Smiling from ear to ear, Candice grabbed Tommaso's arm as he invited her in.

"HOLY COW!" Ricochet suddenly freaked and immediately and dragged Johnny away from the window. "I saw this somewhere and I know what will happen next!"

"Hey, what's going on with you, man? Candice just went inside to Tommaso's small house......" Adam's ocean blue eyes zoomed out as he realized something. "OH MY GOSH! She's cheating with Johnny's friend!"

"I knew it! Underneath that invisible hair of Tommaso and those washboard abs beats the cold heart of a liar!" Ricochet said through gritted teeth, rolling his sleeves up.

"Slow down there, Hercules. Why don't we wait until Candice comes out? Then we'll see what's really going on." Adam suggested, try to calm the groaning Ricochet.

Johnny couldn't speak anything. He runs out of words after seeing his girlfriend and his friend Tommaso together who looks like were having fun at his house.

When Candice finally stepped out of the house, Adam and Ricochet immediately went outside to confront her suspicious actions.

"Te ves preciosa..." Candice said, preparing to ride on her scooter.

"Hey, Candice." Adam greeted, arms were crossed, observing every action she makes.

"Uh, hey guys." Candice nervously greeted them back, rubbing her pink helmet.

"Fancy seeing you here, miles away from your house. And Johnny, your amazing...loyal...boyfriend." Ricochet snarls at Candice. "So, what are you doing here?"

Gulping, she let out a sigh, "Uh, I can't really get into that. But do me a favor and please don't tell Johnny you saw me here. It's complicated. Thanks." She said and rides away.

When Candice finally disappeared from their sight, someone suddenly called Ricochet. He picked his phone up and it was Johnny Gargano.

"Y-yes, Johnny?"

"I heard your conversation, guys. And I think you were wrong. She's not cheating on me...but I still have doubts..." Johnny commented behind them.

"Leave it to us, Johnny! We are going to solve this drama!" Adam said, posing like a superman.

The three men made a plan. They set a recorder and placed it on the windows of Candice's house. Just at the moment, Johnny, Ricochet, and Adam hide behind the bushes when Candice arrived at the house across the street. She looks around to see if anyone's watching her, and then she invited Andrade to come inside.

The three immediately placed their ears on the phone that is connected to the recorder. They gasped when they heard romantic music starts playing and Candice saying,

"Te quiero."

"BLOODY HELL! That's 'I love you' in Spanish!" Adam's violent reaction goes in. "Her cheating ways have crossed the language barrier!"

"I think I've heard enough," Johnny said as his voice cracked. Sadness could be seen in his hazelnut eyes. Ricochet and Adam stared at him in pity and rubs his back.

Johnny sent his friends home and says he wanted to be alone. Today was very stressful for him. Staring at the triple-decker strawberry cake with a cherry on the top, he sighed in defeat. All of his efforts in making that cake results in nothing. His dreams with Candice crashed down just in a snap.

Tick tock...

7 o'clock has arrived and he found himself wearing his formal suit for the anniversary date. He wanted to make this as his last appearance on their relationship timeline. While waiting for her in a fancy restaurant, he brought the cake with him.

Wearing a silky fuchsia dress and black high heels, Candice Lerae finally arrived at the destination. A wide smile tugged on her lips when she saw her boyfriend at a certain table.

"Te ves preciosa..." She said to Johnny.

Johnny furrowed his brows as he heard an unfamiliar language. "I don't even know what does that means, but it feels like it was your endearment to Tommaso..."

"Endearment? Tommaso? What?" Candice questioned, totally bewildered at his statement.

Johnny rolled his eyes, "Oh don't you dare to deny it, Candice. I caught you! I heard it from you!"

He looked around and suddenly pulled a waiter passing by.

"Hey, you tell me Te ves preciosa means babe or something, right?" Johnny furiously questioned.

"No sir! It means you look so beautiful...something like that."

"W-what...." Johnny suddenly blushed as he looked back at Candice whose smirking at him.

Rolling his eyes, trying to brush off the shade of pink on his cheeks, he argued, "Psh...then how can you explain yourself saying I love you in Spanish term to Andrade, huh?!"

"Oh! You mean Te quiero."

"I love you, too...Er, I mean, yeah! That words!"

Candice softly chuckled at Johnny's cute slash jealous reaction, "I invited Andrade to come over to my house because I wanted to learn some few Spanish romantic words since Tommaso only knows one word and that was Te ves preciosa."

The waiter suddenly played his violin and played a very romantic song, requested by Candice LeRae.

"So you ask for help, just for the sake of our date?"

"Yeah...on our past anniversaries, I haven't exerted effort that much and I want to try some new things, So I wanted to make sure, this year is going to be a memorable one." Twirling her fingers, Candice replied.

Johnny couldn't help but smile at what he heard. Who would have thought they share the same reason why he wanted to give her a cake and why she wanted to say romantic words in other languages. They both wanted to make their anniversary special.

Eating the strawberry cake he baked, the lovely couple couldn't contain themselves staring at each other in love, as the romantic music was playing in the background. What a romantic scene that blessed our eyes.

Johnny and Candice stood there, looking at each other, saying nothing. But it was the nothing that meant everything. These are the moments Johnny will remember all his life. He found all he've waited for. And he could not ask for more.
