❝Rich-poor relationship tandem? It doesn't matter. ❞

"Are you really sure you're going to introduce me to your dad as your boyfriend?" The Canadian with noodle hair nervously asked as he hopped inside the car, putting his seatbelt on. "Look at us, you're from a wealthy family who owns and runs three dominant companies in our state. You could buy unnecessary and luxury things, you could buy whatever you want... while here I am, came from a middle-class family, prioritizing my needs."

Yesterday, Tessa Blanchard finally accepts Kenny's sincere love for her. He had been courting her for like two years since college days. His perseverance has been paid off at last. Their wonderful love story all started when the wild rich girl Tessa clashes with poor chick boy yet practical guy Kenny in a showdown debate about globalization.

I mean, you can't blame Tessa Blanchard. Who wouldn't fell in love with Kenny's playful and cheerful personality though? She never turned him down even this damn social class thing exists. She loves him more than anything and nothing can change that fact. For Tessa, money never became the basis for entering a relationship.

However, Kenny was terrified and worried that the omnipotent Tully Blanchard, Tessa's dad, might object to their relationship.

Tessa took a deep breath as she drifted her sight on Kenny, "Babe, looking at anyone's social status isn't my thing. You know that. It wasn't on my vocabulary. Could you just love me without hesitation?"

He paid her back with a satisfying smile but he was still anxious about it. He was worried about their relationship but it's not that their feelings not mutual. He really loves her. Kenny loves her to the moon and back. Tessa Blanchard is the first thing he thinks about when he wakes up and the last thing he thinks about before he falls asleep. It's just he's upset that people think he takes advantage of Tessa's money by deceit.

The couple finally arrived at the mansion, sauntering their general direction to the main door. Kenny's eyes enlarge in amaze as he roamed his baby blue eyes around the wide living room, specifically saw the three luxurious chandeliers attached to the ceiling.

Looking down at his attire, he felt relief that he wore a decent white sleeve and a dark blue silk necktie that he bought last week for their upcoming college reunion next week.

"My Dear Tessa! Finally! You're home!"

Kenny and Tessa turned their heads around when they heard a very familiar voice behind. Gulping in nervousness, Kenny adjusts his necktie right away, smiling at Tully Blanchard.

"Hey Dad," Tessa greeted in excitement as she intertwined fingers with the love of her life. "This is Kenny, my boyfriend."

Raising his brows, Tully stared at the Canadian lover boy and immediately asked, "Son of?"

Sighing, she rolled her eyes irritatedly, "Dad! Stop it. He doesn't have any company."

Kenny looked down at the floor after seeing Tully's violent reaction on his daughter's statement.

"So? You're in a relationship with a guy who doesn't have any properties? What a shame!"

"Sir, I have a property and that's your daughter." Kenny has finally spoken, proud at what he just said. Elbowing the playful Kenny Omega, Tessa's cheeks flushed in a shade of pink.

He is freakin' smooth!

"You're such a son of a biscuit." Tully stared at Kenny in disgust and in disgrace and then he placed his sight on Tessa disappointedly, "So you let yourself love a guy from a middle class? A guy who doesn't have any relevance in our state? A guy who doesn't run a successful company?"

"DAD! THAT'S ENOUGH! I already obeyed everything you order in my whole life! This is the only thing left for me, so could you just let me decide which guy I'm gonna go with? And I love him, dad! I love Kenny!"

"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT PEOPLE LIKE HIM WILL JUST USE YOU FOR MONEY!" Tully shouted like he doesn't have any visitor like Kenny wasn't in front of him.

"DAD!!!"

"SHUT IT, TESSA! FACE THE FACTS! GO TO YOUR ROOM!" Tully ordered through gritted teeth.

"NO WAY!" She yelled back. Tessa Blanchard, everyone!

"GO TO YOUR ROOM OR ELSE YOU'RE GROUNDED FOR ONE MONTH!"

Groaning, Tessa glared at Tully, "You are torturing me, dad!"

"No, dear daughter. I'm not! I just want you to get out of the nightmare you're in right now." Tully responds, nightmare referring to his daughter's boyfriend, showering him with death glares.

As much as Kenny wanted to oppose the painful statements of his father-in-law, he couldn't say a word. He couldn't formulate a response.

Tessa's eyes widen in disbelief, growling in disappointment when his dad suddenly brings out something from his suitcase and handed it to Kenny Omega.

"Here's a cheque. accept these three million dollars, and stay away from my daughter since you don't have any company to showoff."

Kenny swallowed the glowing lump on his throat as he slowly placed his fingers on the shinning cheque with the signature mark of the one and only Tully Blanchard.

Confidently smiling, Tessa wasn't nervous at all at the situation. She knew Kenny wouldn't accept any deal from his dad. She always trusts Kenny because she knows he's head over heels on her.

Even money couldn't do anything to stop their romance. That's what Kenny always tells her. Or so she thought?

Tessa's jaw dropped in incredulity as her world crashed down when Kenny Omega accepts the cheque. Tully smirked at the fact the poor chick boy Kenny accepted his offer.

"We are living in a reality, not in a fairy tale setting. I am a practical guy. That's why I choose money." Were the last words Tully heard from Kenny Omega.

He didn't hear anything from Kenny again until one day...

ONE MONTH AFTER KENNY OMEGA ACCEPTS THE CHEQUE,

Fixing the button of his expensive sleeves, Tully went downstairs once he heard his dear daughter finally arrived at the mansion.

"Hey, Dad!" She started up, standing next to a guy wearing a white shirt and snug tuxedo pants that outlined long, thick thighs and a tight ass.

"Dad, this is Kenny, my beloved boyfriend." Tessa, smiling from ear to ear, slinging her arms on her boyfriend's limbs.

"Hi, how are you, Dad?" Kenny smiled smug, extending his arms.

Tully's temperature started to boil again seeing Kenny's presence. "DON'T YOU DARE CALLING ME DAD! PEOPLE WHO OWNED COMPANIES ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN CALL ME DAD! I THOUGHT YOU ALREADY CUT TIES WITH MY DAUGHTER? WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE?"

Kenny cleared his throat, professionally fixing his necktie this time, handing his business card to Tully Blanchard, "I already have a company, Dad."

At this point, Tully finally accepts Kenny Omega to date his dear daughter. Tessa was surprised when she entered Kenny Omega's company and it wasn't a bluff. She saw it. She touched it. It was real.

"Hey, babe. How did you achieve this?" Wrapping her arms around his boyfriend's neck, Tessa curiously asked, eyes were glimmering in excitement.

He shrugged off and softly chuckled, looking into her shimmering hazelnut eyes, "Remember that three million dollars....thanks to your dad."
