Blinking for 182 milli-seconds, Adam Cole slowly opened his stunning ocean blue eyes, left side of his face was resting on the table and the first thing he saw is her smile.

"What are you smiling at?" He asked, tiredness filled his voice and facial expression.

Smiling from ear to ear, she reached his ear and whispered, "I heard you talking in your sleep."

Adam furrowed his brows and rolled his eyes, "Don't make such things, Candice."

"You wanna know what I heard?" She smirked, making him pout, and started flipping the pages of the book to resume studying.

The medical entrance exam is coming this month and Adam Cole and Candice Lerae all have to do is burn the eyebrows all night. Every night, the couple always make their way to their favorite nearest coffee shop to flip the pages of books, take down notes, familiarize and memorize some definitions.

"What? Did I overcompliment you?"

"God, no. I wish you did." Candice pursued her lips up but then smiles outtanowhere as she remembered what he said.

Adam chuckled at her reaction and then a soft breeze trudged into the open area coffee shop and blow her thistle hair; curled at the end.

Mesmerizing her beauty, her beauty that Adam Cole often compares with the Goddess of beauty Aphrodite, he couldn't take his iris and his pupil off Candice whose eyes were glued on the thick book while tucking her hair behind her ear

Her simplicity is insanely stunning----were the words that have been running on Adam's mind lately.

"Alright, it's already 9:30, let's start the first round of asking each other," Candice said, scanning her notebook.

"Whatever my sweetheart says." He blurted out, smiling like an idiot.

"You're getting carried away, Adam." Candice shook her head but smiling. "Stay focus, good old-fashioned loverboy."

"What do you mean? I'm always on focus. Come on, test me. I can always all of it." Adam said with full of confidence.

"Oh really?" Candice raised her brows. "What are the major types of blood cells and define their functions on a human body."

"The major blood components are, first red blood cells, also known as erythrocytes which carry oxygen from our lungs and deliver it to the rest of our bodies. The second one is white blood cells or leukocytes. Its job is to help the body fight infection and other diseases. Next is platelets or thrombocytes which are colorless cell fragments in our blood that form clots and stops the bleeding, making the wounds heal." Adam answered. "It's your turn, what are the three major blood vessels?"

"Arteries, capillaries, and veins. Bruh! Can you spice it up a little bit?" She pouted.

"I told you. We don't need this. We're geniuses already." Adam sighed in boredom twirled Candice's curled hair.

Adam scoffed at his absurd statement and threw him a middle finger. "Try to act humble sometimes. It's not that hard. Anyway, define Tachycardia."

"Tachycardia is the medical term for a heart rate over 100 beats per minute. Tough exercises, strenuous fear, stress and anxiety, and illegal drugs can lead to sinus tachycardia. Anemia, overactive thyroid and damage part of the heart, mainly from a heart attack or heart failure triggers tachycardia."

Candice nodded and absolutely was amazed, "What about--"

"Wait, I'll add another information about tachycardia."

"Go ahead."

"Blood is red, cyanosis is blue, I get tachycardia when I think of you." He flirted.

"It's just 9:35 and as far as I know, it's not yet the time to flirt, Mr. Cole."

Adam shrugged, "Give me facts about red blood cells."

"Oh, well Red blood cells make up almost half of our blood. The lifespan of these cute cells is around 120 days. Aaaand crocodile icefish is the only known vertebrates without red blood cells." She answered.

Adam was about to speak when she interrupted him and said, "and you also must be a red blood cell."

"Oh, why?" Adam furrowed his brows, pretty interested in the idea.

"Because you take the oxygen out of my lungs and bring it right to my heart." She smirked.

"Dopamine is one of the feel-good chemicals in our brain which plays a vital role in how happy we feel." Adam locked his eyes with hers, "And You always raise my dopamine levels."

"Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or simply COPD is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs. And I'm pretty sure you're a COPD because you take my breath away." Candice said back.

"I like it." Adam bites his lower lip. "They say the coronary arteries branch off the aorta and wrap around the heart. I'm certain that you're my coronary artery, Candice. Simply because you're wrapped around my heart."

Candice awed and flashed him a sweet smile. Adam placed his hand above hers and drifted his sight on her to deliver a sexy wink.

"And I'm pretty sure you guys will get kicked out from my coffee shop since it's closing time in three...two..one...OUT!" The owner bitterly yelled at the couple.

Adam and Candice were immediately released from holding each others' hands and started packing their things.

Candice blushed profoundly while Adam scratched his nape as they accidentally touched one another's hand to pick up the encyclopedia.

The owner raised his brows and saw their little things.

"OUT!"

Adam and Candice immediately run outside as the terrifying voice of the owner raised the volume up. The couple rested their back on the car and started laughing. Their laugh is so contagious, even the rain started pouring lightly.

"Looks like it's already a habit to piss that owner and his unsweetened life off." Adam chuckled.

Candice stared at the small splash of the water dripping on his face. He looks beautiful in every angle.

"Hey, Candice. Do you have plans to tell me what you hear while I was sleeping?" He asked.

A pink shade appeared on her cheeks and felt prickly heat around her ears. That moment made her heart go tachycardia.

Adam slowly went closer to her and reach her ears, "Do you want me to repeat it?"

Candice's eyes widen and confusedly looked up at Adam, "How? You were sleeping that time."

"Am I?" He smirked. Adam lowered his head to her and their forehead touches. Their skins made each other feel warm and satisfied during the cold weathered day.

He smiled and repeat what he said, "I love the entire universe. No matter how cruel it is, I'm thankful 'cause it conspired to help me find you."
