โคนหห (4) โฌเญญ
Vanta had always watched Miko leave the Anakt Garden for personal practices with her guardian. He didn't like that she was away from him, he couldn't bare not seeing her face for even a second.
He never knew he was a possessive type, one of those types you'd do anything just to be with that person, no one taught him that. He wasn't taught it was bad wanting something, he wasn't taught how to like someone the right way.
He wasn't owned by any Aliens, no. So it was a wonder how he got here.

Vanta was supposed to be sold to some filthy rich alien that owned a lot of other pet-humans, that was what fate had left for him, but it turned the other way.ย
Out of the blue, a particular alien stood out of the crowd. They smelt more, human. Possibly because they had owned a number of pet-humans in the past? Who knows. But one thing's for sure, they wanted Vanta.ย
They were unusual to say the least. They certainly didn't speak the alien's langauge well, nor acted like they supported any of their doings โ either by getting into huge arguments with random members of the public, or by hanging up these posters, most notably with the words 'Humans' and 'Freedom.'
He never learned to read as a child, and even when they tried to teach him a few words, he never bothered to listen. But his guardians were something else, entirely and literally.
Once he had been officially affiliated with the rest of his guardian's 'comrades', he'd come to realize they were just like him, in every way possible. A human.
These humans... his guardian, they were all humans, hidden under masks of alien costume they made themselves, to blend in within society.ย
They were reckless.
They were fun.
They weren't boring,ย
and certainly very interesting.
One thing that lacked about them was their ability to teach. Even if each individual lived to this very age, the one thing they could not do was take care or teach Vanta properly.ย
All they did was teach him how to speak, to which he'd certain comply to seem 'cool' amongst these people.ย
But even the aliens could have taught him better, he was practically raised by barbarians!
But one special talent each of them shared, was the talent in blending their words so melodically, he'd sworn it was like living in a fantasy realm. These humans could sing. They could make the most amazing music he'd ever heard before. (Though, it was the first time he'd actually hear humans sing) But, it just made him want to be like them even more, to be the missing piece within the humans he'd been raised by, to learn the magic of singing.
He wanted to fit in, no doubt he'd ever want to regret it, but he felt as if it wasn't right, as if there was something more to his desires. He wanted to sing, to be loud, to express himself like the humans did, but in a world of aliens, where the vast majority of humans would be treated as worthless entities, his voice wouldn't be heard.
Anakt Garden.
There was an advertisement about it, showcasing the different kids singing aloud in a friendly environment.ย
Was this what he wanted? Yes, certainly, exclusively.ย
He'd even hope to convince the humans to let him participate, to let him sing and speak (or sing) his mind freely, but he was turned down.
His humans knew exactly what the Anakt Garden was, a kindergarten to grow kids to participate in a duel of death, certainly not the faith they wanted for little Vanta.ย
He'd love them, truly, even if they were out of hand, even if they made mistakes, they showed him his desire to sing, they brought it out of him. They brought the boy he was, the boy he needed to show the world too.ย
If they didn't appreciate his want to sing, if they weren't going to share the same fiery passion he had inside him, he was going to find someone else.
He ran away.ย
The greatest mistake the humans taught him. It was singing.ย

Maybe that's why he fell in love with Miko, because she shared that same passion in wanting to sing...ย
