SYNOPSIS:

Pandora's discovery led to many different interests for the people of Earth. While some were excited about what they could learn, others were more interested in the money they could make. But everyone was interested in what Pandora could do for Earth's future. The human's planet was undergoing the height of the Anthropocene Extinction, meaning they were lacking many natural resources. And that was exactly what the moon had. But Pandora's atmosphere was high in carbon dioxide levels, making the air toxic to humans. After a century, scientists discovered a procedure that can allow humans to breathe the air on Pandora. There was only one problem, the survival rate was less than 1%. That was enough to scare most people away, but there were a few who volunteered.

Emerson Sully was one of them.

After losing her parents in her last year of high school, Emi was left in the care of her older brother, Tom. While they grew closer since that day, Jake made himself scarce and later joined the Marines. On her eighteenth birthday, Tom convinced her to join the Resources Development Administration and work alongside him. While he trained for the Avatar program, Emi learned how the Avatars worked and how to aid them if they were injured. Three years passed and both of the Sully siblings were more than ready to take on the challenges that were ahead of them. But then another tragedy struck and Tom was taken from her. Emi was alone. And that was all it took for her to volunteer for the life-threatening procedure offered by the RDA.

She had nothing left to lose after all.

If Emi were being honest, she didn't expect to survive the procedure during her four-year journey. But she was the only one in her group that did. She was taken to the medical wing for the doctors to run what felt like millions of tests. They wanted to see how and why Emi was the only survivor of her group. That was where she met Theodore Selfridge, the lone survivor of the group that arrived a month before her. The two of them formed a strong bond very quickly, resulting in a friendship that they both needed. But what Emi didn't expect was for Jake to come in Tom's place two years later. And she definitely didn't expect to learn the RDA's true plans for Pandora from Theo.

Things were about to get a lot more complicated.
