The blond sighed deeply while she played with the gras around her."You know, sometimes I don't get him, at all", the blond told her green skinned friend, who just stared straight forward.

"He's so binded by the fact that Ego is his father that he dosen't see all the red flags!", she continued ranting on before Gamora suddenly grabbed her sword and cut off two plants that had made a weird noise right besides them.

"It's Peter. You're still wondering about that?", the assassin then questioned the blond besides her sceptical while she put her sword away.

Talia sighed as she muttered quietly under her breath, "I guess."

There was a long silence between the two women, but at some point that silence was interrupted by something that sounded like space ship engines approaching them.

"Do you hear that?", Talia questioned the green skinned woman irretated while they both got slowly onto their feet.

"Yeah."

The sound got louder and the two slowly spun around, immediately spotting a ship that approached them with immens speed.

Talia's eyes widened when she realized that the ship wasn't slowling down and still steered directly towards them.

Gamora immediately grabbed the blonds hand and dragged her after her while the ship suddenly started firing at them.

The dirt flew into their faces and Talia screamed as she suddenly fell down a cliff. The two women, both grunted in pain when they collided with the hard stone floor beneath them. Looking up into the blue sky, Talia tried to catch her breath.

Suddenly Gamora started shouting angrily from besides her, "Psychopath!" Talia looked over at her, a frown on her face, "You're sister is such a bitch."

They then quickly got onto their feet and started running towards a cave while Nebula continued to fire at them.

The two had just jumped into the cave, expecting that they were save there and Nebula flew past them. They exhaled and inhaled deeply, both leaning onto their knees for support.

Suddenly the ship turned around and approached them once more, making Talia groan loudly before she started running again, followed by Gamora.

Dust flew into her face and debris fell down next to them while the two women were preoccupied with avoiding the shot's that were fired at them from Nebula.

They jumped down the next cliff and Nabula flew right over their heads. The ship slided over the stone ground and crashed into the wall as Gamora quickly got on to her feet and grabbed one of the gigantic rocket launchers that had fallen off.

Talia grunted and sat up as she watched the green skinned woman fire at the ship while she screamed aggressively.

At some point the ship fell down to the lower level and a cloud of fire and black smoke rose up into the air.

The blond watched how Gamora jumped after the ship as she still tried to catch her breath.

A moment went by and suddenly another explosion went off, catching Talia's attention. The blond woman got onto her feet before she slowly approached the edge of the cliff and peeked down to the other two women, who were now fighting each other.

Suddenly Nebula grabbed Gamora by her throat and raised the green skinned woman's sword into the air.

Talia immediately grabbed her gun from her belt and pointed it at the blue skinned woman's head, in case she would try something.

Talia was ready to shoot but suddenly Nebula threw the sword away and screamed as she let go of Gamora's throat. The green skinned woman caughed heavily while Nebula spoke up, "I win. I win. I beat you in combat."

"No! I saved your life!", Gamora immediately argued with her. "Well, you are stupid enough to let me live", Nebula argued back at her loudly. "You let me live!", Gamora shouted again.

"I don't need you always trying to beat me!"

Talia remained silent as she watched the two from above, knowing that she had nothing to do with their weird and dissfunctional relationship.

"I'm not the one that just flew across the universe just because I wanted to win" Gamora screamed in rage and Nebula gave her a dark glare. "Do not tell me what I want!"

Gamora scoffed loudly at her sister, "I don't need to tell you what you want! It's obvious!"

"You were the one who wanted to win and I just wanted a sister!", Nebula suddenly screamed into her sister's face. A surprised expression made it's way onto Gamora's face, while she leaned backwards.

Nebula's eyes scanned over her sisters face, "You were all I had. But you were the one who needed to win. Thanos pulled my eye from my head and my brain from my skull- and my arm from my body- because of you!"

The two still sat on the ground, and at this point Talia put her gun away and decided that she should probably leave the two alone.

The blond spun around and for the first time eyed the cave she was in a bit closer. She let her eyes wander over the stone walls and suddenly spotted a glaring blue light coming from the back of the cave.

The woman carefully continued her way through the tunnel and as she arrived by the end of it her eyes widened in shock. There were over million different Skelton's that laid as a gigantic pile right infront of her.

Her mouth dropped open before she shouted as loud as she could, "Guys, I think you should see something!"

There was long silence and after a moment the two sisters joined her, also staring at the gigantic pile of skeleton's.

Gamora's eyed were wide while she spoke, "We need to get off this planet."

Nebula and Talia silently followed after an angry Gamora, who grabbed Mantis by the throat and pushed her up against the wall the minute she spotted her.

The green skinned woman let out a battle cry as she tightened her grip around Mantis throat, "Who are you people? What is this place?"

"Gamora, let her go!", Drax demanded loudly, but the assasin just ignored his words. "The bodies in the caverns who are they!?", the woman screamed at her in rage.

Mantis antennas suddenly started glowing and she looked down at Gamora, "You're scared."

Gamora's eyed widened and she let go of Mantis before she took a couple of steps backwards, breathing heavily. "What did she do to me?!"

"She already told me everything", Drax stated as he looked at the three women. Gamora still breathed heavily as Talia laid a hand on her shoulder, calming her down.

"The bodies- are his children", Mantis stated as she looked scared at the four.

Talia's eyes widened in shock as her gaze wandered off to the other's, "We need to find Peter now, and get off this damn planet."

"Ego will have won him to his side by now. He has a way- ", the insect woman told her and Nebula shrugged carelessly, Then we just go."

"No! He's our friend", Gamora argued with her immediately. "All any of you do is yell at each other. You are no friends", the blue woman stated simply.

"You're right. We're family", Drax told her as he looked over at Gamora and Talia. "We leave no one behind."

He sighed as his gaze fell onto Nebula, "Except maybe you." Nebula shook her head to herself, "Oh my God."

Suddenly Talia transmitter went off and the blond immediately answered it, "Finally!"

"Keep that transmitter nearby, so I can find you. We're in an old piece of construction equipment Yondu once used to slice open the Bank of A'askavaria", Rockets voice spoke up from the tiny transmitter in her hands.

"Ego's unhinged", she quickly spoke as she followed after the others. "I know, get ready", Rocket said before they ended the conversation.

The group left the building as fast as they could and ran through the large garden as suddenly a blueish and very bright light erupted from the Palast, blinding them all.

Talia let out a shout as she covered her eyes with her arm but the group quickly continued their way to Peter and Ego.

Drax kicked the door open and in that exact moment a round and metalic spaceship crashed through the celling and landed directly on Ego.

The doors opened and everyone jumped in, except for Talia, who run past the ship and quickly helped Peter onto his feet.

The man grunted as he held onto the brunette in pain, "I told you something didn't feel right, Peter!"

The two started walking towards the ship as a dark look made it's way onto Peter's face, "I told you so, just what I want to hear right now."

"Shut up! I came back, didn't I?", she questioned him as a debri crushed onto the floor behind them. The man ga e her a knowing look, "Because there's an unspoken thing!"

"There's no unspoken thing!", she argued with him annoyed before they both climbed into the ship as well.

"He will be back soon", Mantis warned them all before Peter looked over his shoulder at Nebula. "What's Smurfette doing here?"

"Whatever I need to do to get a damn ride home", she stated grumpily before Rocket spoke up from the front, "She tried to murder me!"

The blue skinned woman shook her head angryly at him, "I saved you, you stupid fox!"

"He's not a fox", Gamora stated calmly from besides her.

"I am Groot."

"I am not a rabbit, either", Rocket stated as he looked down at Groot who answered him immediately, "I am Groot."

"Raccoon, whatever", the raccoon shrugged at the little tree.

Drax looked out of the window as blue and brighed streams broke through the ground. "How do we kill a Celestial?"

"There's a center to him. His brain, his soul, whatever it is- some sort of protective shell", Peter told the muscular man as he climbed up the latter.

"It's in the caverns, below the surface", Mantis told Gamora, Nebula and Talia scared.

In that moment the ship was yanked to the ground, making them all stummble around, while trying to hold their balance.

Peter sat now besides Yondu trying to repair the thrusters while arguing with the blue skinned man, "I guess I should be glad I was a skinny kid. Otherwise you'd have delivered me to this maniac."

"You're still reckon that's the reason I've kept you around, you idiot?", Yondu questioned him loudly. Peter shot him a glare, "That's what you told me, you old doofus!"

Yondu tried to steer the ship as he looked over at Peter, "Once I figured out what happened to them other kids I wasn't just gonna hand you over."

The brunette's eyes widened, "You said you were gonna eat me!"

"That was being funny!", the man argued with him as he looked back ahead.

"Not to me!"

Rocket looked up to them from the level below as he shook his head, "You people have issues!"

"Well of course I have issues! That's my freakin' father!", he pointed at the figure that just consistet out of blue energy, screaming at them aggressively.

He quickly grabbed onto the second steering wheel, "Thrusters are back up!"

They quickly steered through Ego and flew out of the Palast by crushing through the large oval window.

The spaceship immediately stopped and then fell down, "We should be going upwards!"

"Ego wants to eradicate the universe as we know it. We have to kill him!", Peter explained to Yondu as he still steered toward the crack in the stone floor. "Rocket!"

"Got it!" The raccoon quickly pushed some buttons and suddenly a couple of laser beams were easily cutting their way free for them. "Whoohoo!"

"So, we're saving the Galaxy again?", Rocket's voice questioned them and Peter answered him shortly, "I guess."

Rocket smirked amused as he laughed, "Awesome! We're really gonna be able to jack up our price if we're two time galaxy savers."

"I seriously can't believe that's were your mind goes", Peter told him as he still grabbed onto the steering-wheel.

"It was just a random thought, man. I thought we were friends. Of course, I care about the planets, and the buildings, and all the animals on the planets. And the people. Meeh", the raccoon shrugged as he flipped a couple of switches and then leaned back into his seat.

Talia still stood on the lower level next to Gamora when Mantis suddenly spoke up, a large smile plastered on her face, "The crappy puppy is so cute. He makes me wanna die!"

The blond rolled with her eyes in annoyance before she grabbed onto a metal pole besides her.

They suddenly hit something, and a part of the ship's wall was ripped off, making everyone on the lower level gasp in surprise.

Mantis quickly walked over to the next window and pointed outside for them to see, "That's Ego's core."

"That Core is thick, Rocket", Gamora told the raccoon who nodded his head at her firmly, "I got it covered."

"We must hurry! It will not take Ego long to find us", the woman with the antennas warned them nervously as they approached the core carefully.

Rocket pulled on a handle as he muttered, "Keep it steady."

A second later a large, yellow beam shot out of the ship and hit the core, burning it.

"We drill into the center, we kill him!", Peter shouted over his shoulder at the others.

There was a moment of silence while everybody stared at the burning core infront of them.

"Captain?"

"What is it, Kraglin?", Yondu questioned loudly as he leaned towards the loudspeaker.

"Hey, remember that Ayesha chick?", Kraglin questioned hesitantly and Yondu nodded to himself. "Yeah, why?"

"Uh-"

In that exact moment Yondu turned his head to the side and immediately spotted a gigantic fleat of Sovereign approaching them quickly.

"Oh, hell!"

Peter followed his gaze and his eyes quickly widened in shock before he grabbed the steering wheel and started to fly away from them.

The ships immediately started firing at them, sending Drax, Mantis, Gamora and Talia out of the ship as they hit it several times.

The blond was falling quickly through the air as she let out a loud scream. Gamora landed on her feet elegantly and as her gaze moved upwards, she saw Talia before the woman crashed into her.

The two stummble to the ground and as Talia laid there, she looked up into the air, spotting their ship as it disappeared.

Her gaze wandered slowly off to Gamora, who laid next to her, giving her an annoyed look.

"Sorry."

They had just gotten onto their feet as suddenly bright and large cracks appeared in the earth beneath them.

"He's coming", Mantis breathed out scared as her black eyes widened worried.

Drax breathed heavily, "Didn't you say, your could make him sleep?" The woman shook her head, "When he wants. He's too powerful. I can't."

Talia felt how the wind blew her opened hair out of her face. Her eyes darted over the bright light that now started to consume the large rock in front of them.

"You don't have to believe in yourself- because I believe in you", the man assured her loudly as he nodded his head at her.

Mantis eyes connected with his and she smiled lightly before she turned back towards the bright light that approaching them.

The back haired woman quickly touched the glowing ground before her antennas started to glow as well.

Mantis let out a loud scream as Talia already prepared herself to be whipped out by the bright energy that hurried towards them threatening.

"Sleep!"

From one second to the other the light disappeared and Mantis released a deep breath before Drax broke the silence, "I never thought she'd be able to do it with as weak and skinny as she appears to be."

Gamora and Talia looked at the man with a frown on their face.

"I don't know how long I can hold him!", Mantis shouted over her shoulder at them, drawing their attention back to her.

In that moment Talia saw how Peter and Rocket disappeared into a large hole in the stone wall above their heads.

The Sovereign ships were still following Yondu, making Gamora, Drax and Talia decid to help him.
