βΉβ β MELANIE HONESTLY COULDN'T BELIEVE THE position she was in at the minute. Sat in the driver's seat of Carlisle's car, driving to Forks with her wife in the passenger seat, driving way over the speed limit may she had. Because, well, apparently Isabella had killed herself.
She was quite irritated to say the least. One minute she's having a snowball fight with Emmett, and now she's being dragged back to Forks because of Bella Swan, yet again.
Day's turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months. That's how long they had been away from their home in Forks, it had also been how long she had gone without seeing Edward. Melanie had brought Nik and Lupin to meet her family, and despite the Cullens (minus their parents and Alice) not getting along with shapeshifters, they stayed civil, and were happy to meet the people who meant so much to their sister in law.
After a week in the place she'd love to call home, she returned to her real home in Alaska with her coven. And now they were here, Melanie he finally parked the car outside of the Swan resident, but by the looks of it, no one was home.
Of course that don't stop Alice from waltzing right in.

Bella was sat in her trunk with Jacob who had suddenly pulled her back inside after she attempted to leave. "Wait," he quickly closed the truck door before continuing. "There's vampires, two of them."
"How do you know?" Bella questioned.
Jacob looked out the window before starting the engine. "I can smell them. I'm getting you out of here."
Bella looked behind her through the window with a gasp. "That's Carlisle's car." Maybe there was hope after all, maybe Edward had finally returned home to her. "They're here."
Jacob continued to yell to her, telling her it was a trick and to stop, but Bella was on a mission, and her mission was to get inside her house and find out if it was who she hoped.
Jacob grabbed ahold of Bella's arm, yanking her back. "They won't hurt me," Bella assured.
"Look, if a Cullen is back here, this is their territory. Treaty says we can only defend on our own lands. I can't protect you here."
"Okay, it's okay. You don't have to." Bella spoke before walking into her house. She turned on the light, turning around to her right, jumping slightly from fright as she saw Alice standing right in front of her.
"Alice?" The human stuttered, flinging her arms around the petite pixie. "Oh, my God."
"I'm sorry, I just- I can't believe you're here. Is..."
"Would you like to explain to me how you're alive?" Alice shrieked. "I saw a vision of you. You jumped off a cliff. Why in the hell would you try and kill yourself?! I mean? What about Charlie?-"
"-I didn't try and kill myself." Bella chimed in, stopping the vampire from yelling. "I was cliff jumping. Recreationally. It was fun."
"Hey, have you gotten a tan?" Melanie spoke up as she walked back into the house, she wasn't surprised that the human was alive, she was kind of like Matt Donavan from a television show she watched called The Vampire Diaries, oh how she envied those vampires, no sparkles, human food, alcohol, no sparkles. Although they could die a lot easier.
Melanie's thoughts were cut off when the human pulled the taller vampire in for a hug, Melanie who was stiff in shock attempted to get her way out of the hug without actually flinging her off.
"I have never met anyone more prob to life-threatening idiocy," Alice spoke as she, Bella and Melanie sat in the living room of the Cullen house, Bella drinking a cup of tea in an attempt to hear herself up.
"Elena Gilbert," Melanie mumbled as she continued to pace up and down the house, she didn't want to sit and have a chit chat. She wanted to get back to her family, and now that they knew Bella was alive, she could happily leave her once again.
"Just... Did you.. did you tell him?" Bella questions, Melanie knew she was talking about Edward, everyone of the Cullen's had received at least twenty emails from the human while they were gone about how life wasn't the same or whatever.
"No." Alice shakes her head. "He only calls in once every few months. He said he wants to be alone." Alice stopped speaking for a moment, sniffing slightly, a horrible smell filling her senses.
"Bella, what is that god-awful wet dog smell?"
"Um... that's probably me. Or it's Jacob."
"Jacob who?" Alice asks.
"Jacob's kind of a werewolf." Bella stutters out.
Alice groans, completely forgetting her wolf living wife was in the same room. "Bella! Werewolves are not good company to keep."
"Oi!"
"Speak for yourself."
Melanie's playful exterior was gone, as she pushed Alice behind her slightly, just in case, you know, precautions.
"I had to see you were safe."
"I thought you couldn't protect me here." Bella states.
"Guess I don't care."
"Well, we're not going to hurt her," Alice assured.
"No, you're just a harmless Cullen," Jacob replied. "I'm talking about the other bloodsucker who tried to kill Bella because of you."
"Victoria?"
"Yeah, Victoria's been around."
"I didn't see her," Alice said glancing at Melanie in confusion. "I didn't see you get pulled out of the water either. I can't see past you and your pack of mutts."
"Don't make me upset," Jacob said.
Melanie took a step forward. "And don't make me, I wonder how Sam would feel if you broke the treaty, hmm? Because quite frankly I don't care about it."
Bella stood up getting in between Melanie and Jacob. "Hey, stop, stop. Um.."
"We'll give you a minute," Alice said, taking Melanie's hand into her own and walking outside of the house.
The duo sat in Carlisle's car, Melanie listening in on the boring conversation when suddenly Alice grows stiff, Melanie's eyes snapped towards her, doing something she didn't do very often, she has watched the vision in her mind.
Edward has gone to the Volturi.
"I need to get Bella, she's the only one who can help," Alice states as she got out of the car quickly, speeding into the house.
Melanie sighed, punching the steering wheel of the car, not hard enough to break it though, she was angry, angry at Edward for starting this whole thing, to begin with, and then tries to get himself killed. Angry at Bella for thinking she's a Goddam Olympic diver. Angry at Rosalie for telling Edward before we even knew if the human was dead or not.
The whole thing was a nightmare.
Alice bolted back to the car, Bella following behind with Jacob running behind her like a lost dog. "He left you, Bella. He didn't want you anymore, remember?"
"No, I'm not gonna let him kill himself out of guilt," Bella argued.
"What about your dad?"
"I'm 18. I'm legally free to go and I left a note."
Jacob stuck his head through the window that Melanie was closest too, causing the vampire to place her palm on his head and push it back out. "Please, Bella. Just... stay here. For Charlie. For me."
"I have to go." Bella insisted.
"I'm begging you." Jacob started before being cut off by Melanie.
The vampire proceeds to push him out the window that he managed to crawl back in. "We don't have time for your begs." And with that, she drove away.
