-𝙰𝙵𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝙻𝚄𝙻𝙻𝙰𝙱𝚈 𝚂𝚃𝙾𝚁𝙼𝙴𝙳 𝙾𝚄𝚃 𝙾𝙵 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙷𝙾𝚄𝚂𝙴, Mordecai threw away the left over food that they didn't eat. He then placed the dishes in the sink while reflecting on what happened.

I didn't mean to lash out like that I just want to protect her, especially after what happened when we first got bit..

*𝙵𝙻𝙰𝚂𝙷𝙱𝙰𝙲𝙺 𝙵𝚁𝙾𝙼 3 𝚈𝙴𝙰𝚁𝚂 𝙰𝙶𝙾*

Mordecai and Lullaby walk along a side walk. Mordecai had taken Lullaby on a little hike around a park to take in the scenery. The smell of the pine trees brought calm to Mordecai any time he was upset. He never got to share this experience with anyone so he was relived that Lullaby agreed to go on this walk with him.

"Is mom gonna come back mordey? "

"I wouldn't count on it Lully. "

"I miss her soo much. She's not even going to be here for my thirteenth birthday. "

"You don't need her Lullaby. "

"Of course I do.. thats mo-"

"Your mom. "

"Right. But she was still there for us Mordey."

"She was only there for you Lullaby, she never gave a shit about me. I don't get how you love her so much. She was both physically and mentally abusive. "

"I'm sorry."

They both sat in silence the remainder of the walk however something caught Lullaby's attention. For some reason she was drawn to a pile of toxic waste.

"Look Mordey! Something is glowing in there! "

"NO LULLA-"

Before Mordecai could finish what he was going to say, she had already sprinted off. Mordecai struggled to keep up.

"LULLABY.. D-DONT TOUCH ANY OF THAT! "

Mordecai was so out of breath. He never knew his little sister could run so fast. As he catches up with Lullaby, they were surrounded by trash. Green chemicals were displayed all around them. That didn't catch Lullaby's attention though. What caught her attention was the glowing purple dot that was moving around on the floor.

"What is that Mordey. "

"I don't know but I think we should leave it alone."

"Can we keep it..it looks so pretty."

"No Lully just come on. "

Lullaby picks up the purple object.

"It's a spider!! "

As she admires the glowing spider, the widow opens up its chelicerae exposing it's razor sharp fangs. The fangs then reach down towards Lullaby's hands piercing the inner web between he thumb and index finger. As she's getting pierced, the purple fluid that the spider contained floods in through her blood cells turning them into spider like figures. However, Lullaby didn't feel a thing.

Lullaby raises her hand up to Mordecai so he can see.

"Look how pretty it is Mordey! Wanna hold it? "

Mordecai was unsure about holding it but seeing the look on his little sister's face, It was hard to turn her down.

"Fine I'll hold it but after this we're leaving."

Mordecai places the spider in his hand.

"Isnt it cool"

Without having a sense, the widow performs the same act onto Mordecai. Somehow, Mordecai felt pain.

"AH FUCK! "

He smashes the widow leaving it's guts to pour out.

"WHY WOULD U DO THAT? "

"Because it bit me.. Geez no need to yell."

"You didn't have to kill it asshole. "

"Watch your mouth. "

Lullaby storms off heading out of the woods back towards the open street. They walked in silence back home.

*𝙰𝙽 𝙷𝙾𝚄𝚁 𝙻𝙰𝚃𝙴𝚁*

Mordecai prepares enchiladas for dinner. The smell of the cilantro lingered in the air towards Lullaby's room. Lullaby went down to the kitchen.

"Mmmmm that smells really good. "

*Mordecai chuckles* "Well I would hope it would hope it would smell good.

"Yea yea.. I'm still mad at you for murdering that spider.. We could've kept her as a pet."

"Her..? "

"Yeah.. I was planning on naming her Lilac. "

Mordecai shrugs his shoulders.

He sets the two plates down on the table. As soon as Lullaby got her plate, she began tearing through every layer of the enchilada. Her face was covered in meat and sour cream.

*Mordecai chuckles* "Woah slow down Lully it's all over your face. "

Mordecai reaches for a napkin on the table. He begins to wipe Lullaby's mouth softly. After she got all cleaned up, she takes her plate and washes it.

*yawns* "I think I'm going to bed now"

"Alright sleep tight Lully. "

"Goodnight Mordey. "

"Good night, I love you. "

Lullaby gives her brother an assuring grin so he understands the love she has for him deep down. As Lullaby gets to her room, she snuggles up under her blanket and drifts off to sleep. Mordecai straightens up the kitchen and heads up stairs. He cracks open the door to see if she fell asleep. She was knocked cold. Mordecai heads to the bathroom. He opens the cabinets to get himself a towel. He began undressing and turning on the shower. The shower sent steam feeling up the bathroom. The smell of lavender soap filled the bathroom as it was being vaporized. He hopped in the shower letting the water hit his back. The water slipped off of his luscious curls. This brought calm to Mordecai's soul. He was able to think properly and forget about the troubles his mother caused him. As he finished cleaning himself up, he dries off and puts on his pajamas. He drifts off to sleep.

"AHHHHHH"

Lullaby's bloodcurdling scream woke Mordecai up. He jumped on his feet and ran to her room. As he was running, he and realized how fast he'd ran. He's never ran that fast ever before. He realizes his calves felt way stronger than they usually should. He brushed it off thinking it was only because of the thought of his little sister being hurt.

"LULLABY! WHAT'S W- wrong..?"

"I'M UP HERE."

Mordecai looks up to find his little sister on the ceiling. Her hands seemed to be glued to the ceiling along with her feet. It was almost like she was crawling up there.

"How the fuck did u do that?"

"I was just trying to put stars up here and I got stuck... uh did your pants get smaller? "

Mordecai looks down at his pants. His thighs were nearly busting out of them.

"Uhm.. I guess so..? But let's just get you down first. "

"Uh yea good Idea. "

Mordecai grabs Lullaby by her back and begins to pull. As hard as Mordecai pull she wouldn't come down.

"Lullaby let go. "

"Im trying. "

Lullaby struggles to pull her hands off the ceiling.

"My hands are stuck Mordey, I can't get them to come off. "

"Whatever you did, let's not do it again next time ok. "

"I didn't do anything. "

"Whatever. I'm going to try and pull one hand off at a time okay? "

"Uh ok. "

Mordecai begins to pull her hand but it wouldn't budge. He begins to pull harder and as he's pulling, he notices something white coming from her hands.

"Oh you've got to be fucking kidding me Lullaby you glued your hands?! "

"No I didn't fucking glue my hands what's wrong with you? "

Mordecai ignores her comment and continues pulling. As he gets her hands to finally lift up, he's able to identify what the white stuff was. It was..

"Spider webs..? "

"Huh? "

"Why do you have spider webs on your hands? "

"I don't know.. Maybe Lilac left them for me! "

"Alright Lullaby this might hurt a bit ok? I'm going to grab both your hands and try to yank you down ok? "

"That's fine. Just as long as I'm down from here.

Mordecai grabs her by both hands.

" Ready? One... Two.. "

As he's counting down, he gets a firm grip. He hold on to her wrists tight and yanks them down. As he yanks her wrists, her hands finally fall from the ceiling but unfortunately she still had pieces of the ceiling in her hands.
Since her feet were still stuck up there, she was now hanging up side down.

Lullaby shrieks "This is fun!! "

"No it's not, all the blood is going to your head. "

"Nuh uh"

Mordecai pauses for a moment.

"What do you mean Nuh uh? "

"I actually don't feel anything it just feels like I'm standing regularly. "

Lullaby begins to lift up her feet one step at a time. She starts to walk around upside down.

"Look Mordey! I can walk upside down!! "

"This isn't normal.. What the fuck is going on. "

As Mordecai watches Lullaby walk upside down, he begins to reflect what could've lead up to this.

*That fucking spider*

"Lullaby? "

"Yeaaa?? "

"Did u get bit by that spider yesterday? "

"I don't know.. "

"How do you not know..? "

"Well I didn't feel anything.. Didn't you get bit..? "

"Yes and I surely did feel it. "

"Do you think the spider bite caused this Mordey? "

"I mean I think so but how..? We've been bit by many spider before and this has never happened? "

"To be fair, we've never run into purple glowing spiders.. "

"See lullaby this is why I said don't go over there. That spider was clearly intoxicated. AH FUCK I WISH YOU'D JUST LISTEN TO ME. "

"I'm sorry.. But at least we have superpowers now! "

"This isn't a game Lullaby this is serious. I'm not even sure if I'm affected by the bite or not. "

"I'm pretty sure you are.. You're more muscular than usual. "

*Could I be affected too? That could explain why my calves felt so strong.*

Mordecai looked around the room for a bit. He begins to walk towards the wall. He places one foot on it.

*It's sticking.. What the fuck.*

He began to lift up his other foot and places it on the wall. As both feet are holing him up on the side of it. He begins to start walking.

"See you're like me! I cant wait to show my friends at school."

"No lullaby..you cant tell anyone about this ok? We don't know the consequences.. "

"But.. "

"No lullaby. You have to listen to me this time.. Please. "

"Ok ok but how do we get down? "

"I'm not sure."

"Well we can't just stay stuck here. "

"Maybe if you would've left the fucking spider alone we wouldn't be up here."

Lullaby rolls her eyes.

Lullaby begins to panic. The anger and frustration built up inside her. She really wasn't sure how she would get down from there. She tries to calm herself down.

*Remember what Nana told us to do when we were upset... Just breathe.. *

Lullaby begins to exhale. She hold her breathe for 10 seconds and begins to let go. As she takes her breathe, she begins to feel her body loosening from the walls.

*Huh? Was this really all I had to do to get down from here.. *

As sure as lullaby is that she had figured out a way to get down, she continues her breathing techniques.

*Breathe in... Breathe out.. *

Her thighs became more tense as her feet were loosening from the ceiling. She began taking faster breathes. As he takes tho breaths, she raises her arms up towards the bed so she could have safer landing. With 20 more seconds of her breathing techniques, her let finally falls leaving her with one remaining. As she continues breathing, she finally falls. She falls bouncing on the rim of her chin.

"YES!! I'M FREE"

As Lullaby is cheering, Mordecai looks in distraught.

"How did u do that? "

Lullaby still mad him gives him a sinister smile.

"I'm not telling you."

"Lullaby.. Please this isn't funny."

"Promise you'll stop bossing me around? "

"I don't boss you around.. I stop you from doing dumb shit. "

"Ok then I'm not helping you."

"OK OK FINE. FUCK. JUST HELP ME. "

"You don't have to yell.. "

"Ok I'm sorry just please.. "

"Fine.. Just do Nana's breathing thingy.. That's, what I did. I swear.. "

"Ok I believe you.. But can u not watch though..? "

"Hmph, works for me."

Lullaby walks out of the room. Mordecai watches her leave so he knows when the coast is clear. As she walks to the other room, Mordecai begins to breathe. As he's breathing, he feels his legs loosen from the wall the same way Lullaby's did. After his limbs separate from the wall, he finally falls. He begins to walk off shaking. He couldn't believe this was happening to him. He heard of spiderman, but he never had care for him. It was unbelievable that it happened to him.

*I wish she would've just left that fucking spider alone.*

"LULLABY."

"YEA? ", she calls from the other room.

" Can you come here please? "

"No way you need help breathing.."

"Oh my gosh can u please just come here?"

"Okay ok. "

Lullaby walks over to him.

"What do u want? "

"So you're just gonna pretend that everything's fine? "

"What do you want me to do about it?"

"We have to talk about this "

"What is there to talk about..? We already know what's going on. We've already seen what happened and there's no one we can go to for this. "

"I know, I know but we still have to talk about what happens when we leave this house.. What if we actually trigger something.?"

"What harm can spider webs do..? "

"Hmm I don't know.. Maybe stick to unwanted things we don't want to be fucking stuck to.? "

*Lullaby rolls her eyes.*

Mordecai pulls out his phone and opens his.messages. He clicks on the contaxt that reads "challie".

Maybe Paris can help me..
