9:32 AM

Good morning lovely lovely people! I woke up like, thirty minutes ago. I had to braid my hair before I went to bed because it was greasy as HECK, but I unbraided it and I look like Hagrid T-T My brother looked at me and went "Ah." and walked away.

So I'm gonna go shower, I'll be right back.

Also, just so you know, I am nowhere near this chipper in real life in the morning. Via writing, I can be a sunshiney little shit and you would never know. But I'm typically a morning person, so that far off.

Okay, shower time, brb.

10:02 AM

Okay so I showered, it didn't take thirty minutes, but I kinda just lay around in my towel in my room and procrastinated changing into clothes and IDK why. No makeup because I don't really have anywhere to go, and I need to give my face a break.

My littlest brothers went to the playground with my mom, so I'm making chicken strips for them when they get back. Thank God for Costco. My other brother, E, is doing pushups because he's turned into a Chad. He's blasting his Ken playlist. It's actually kinda good but I could NEVER tell him that.

Doo doo doo. Chicken strips are in the air fryer (Thank God for Costco pt. 2) and now I'm sitting here writing the announcement chapter for Lamentations. I hope nobody's mad, I don't mean it to be rude. I just wanna give people full freedom. Anyway.

12:00 PM

The Littles and Mom came back yay. Just for a nice mental image, they came home while I was blasting Phinneas and Ferb music, and they kinda just stared at me until the littlest one, J, and I burst into dancing. The chicken is done, we're eating sandwiches with them.

While I'm writing, I guess I'll just explain what this is? If you couldn't tell, it's a little day in the life kinda diary entry. I'm always curious what other peoples' daily lives are like, so I thought I'd share (and maybe start a trend >:)) My life is wildly mundane, but I've also been told it's disgustingly wholesome. Anyway.

I'm making this mango black tea from Trader Joe's, and you should totally try it if you can. It's just so *screams* it's so good?? I love it so much. It's like mango boba without the boba, and I don't know why that's such a novel idea to me. Fruit tea is a thing, Lydia, you idiot.

Sometimes I don't know how people put up with me. I lack so much common sense.

12:40 PM

So after lunch we spent like, 30 minutes listening to songs from our childhood. Veggie Tales, PBS Kids shows. And we made a playlist XD. It was really fun, reliving all the childhood memories. My mom told us a story about how I loved Blue's Clues so much I would kiss the screen when Blue was on.

Anyway, at 1:00 we have to start doing laundry, so we shall go. But in the meantime, we'll be listening to Fresh Beat Band and Peg + Cat. And Bluey. Always Bluey.

1:00 PM

We lied. We're still listening to kids shows. This is so funny. I don't know if any of you have younger siblings, but mine watched this show on Netflix called StoryBots. We basically watched that all the time when J was like, four, and it was such a throwback. The music is unironically amazing??

It SLAPS. Anyway. We will not be doing laundry at 1:00, we'll be doing it later. My house is a little hectic sometimes XD we never run on schedule.

1:42 PM

Okay we finally finally got the laundry started. Since there's so many of us laundry takes a good 5 hours to do, in between waiting for loads to be done, and waiting for the other people in the building to finish their laundry T-T. We live in an apartment building that provides laundry (though we still have to pay per load), but it's really nice and convenient.

We put the laundry in, and I have to go get it in like, an hour.

2:11 PM

So we're listening to the Bluey soundtrack now while waiting for the laundry to wash. I'm trying to think of things to say but honestly, not much is going through my head. Which is typical RIP.

Bluey is so good. I am an unapologetic Bluey enthusiast. If you haven't watched it, you need to. There are episodes that have me ugly crying and curled into a little ball and weeping. And then there are episodes that make me giggle and squeal like a toddler. It's a very healing show.

I aspire to be like their parents, Chilli and Bandit. They're so easygoing and transparent. HAHA GET IT TRANS PARENT. I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. Anyway. They're such good parents, and they always play along with the kids. I'm def going to make my children watch Bluey whether or not they like it. ALSO I'M SORRY BUT BINGO IS THE CUTEST LITTLE SOUL EVER THERE'S AN EPISODE WHERE SHE FINDS A LEAF BUG AND IT MAKES ME CRY BECAUSE IT'S SO CUTE.

She says "But why would a leaf need to walk?"

It makes me cry she's so adorable.

Anyway. I need to stop. This is not a Bluey appreciation post. That can happen later.

Wait one more thing: Bingo has this little song that made me sob when she sings it because-- just watch the episode actually it's called Butterflies (S1 Ep. 15). But it goes like this:

Poor little bug on the wall (ding jing)

No one to love him at all (ding jing)

No one to tickle his toes (ding jing)

Nobody to rub his nose (ding jing)

Tell me that's not the cutest thing you've ever read. And Bingo has an adorable little stuffy-nose voice!?? UGH. Okay I'm done I promise.

I'm done.

Time to go check on the laundry.

5:49 PM

So I forgot about this LOL. Honestly, didn't do much. I'm working on Lamentations planning right now, and rereading my old applyfics to see which ones I might want to bring back. Honestly, I'd love to bring them all back, but it's hard when my attention is so divided. If I didn't have a life, I'd just sit and write all day, and then all my applyfics would be finished and I would be so happy about it.

Anyway. We're going to watch a movie tonight. My family is pretty strict about technology. Nobody's allowed to have tech in their room, and all the shows we watch have to be on the TV in the living room. So that means nobody really watches shows on their own.

When I was younger I complained about it a lot because I wanted to watch the shows all my friends were watching, but honestly, I'm glad for it now. The shows that were popular were all so shallow (like Riverdale) so I'm glad I spent my time on something much more worthwhile and bonding.

I think we're either gonna watch Knives Out or Enola Holmes. I've seen both already, but my littlest brother, J, hasn't. So yeah!

And this concludes my little day-in-the-life. It was a slow day, I'm sure I'll have more stories for you later, if you want!

Bye! <3

(Also shoutout to Rory for suggesting a diary entry!)
