Chapter 6
Red

"The dark velvet couch with it's dull red colour turning to brown like every other bloody mark on the walls and windows of the house, sat in the dark dimly lit room where its owner sat onto it, his foot resting upon his left leg's knee. A hand angled on the armrest on his elbow to make a resting spot for his pale dead white skinned cheek to rest as the other hand sat on his thigh. On his lap was the dead stereo.

Eyes closed with a satisfied expression playing on his damaged features, as he hummed with his deep husky voice, loving the music that entered his busted ears. The sound of the stereo came in grainy cracked music but that was it's owner's favourite genre of music. To him, it gave him the calm he needed in this pitch silent environment. The room now had a bed as well. Cracked wood, with the frame threatening to fall any moment and hurt the resting person if there ever were any in the first place.

The demon's fingers tapped on his all too well cloth fabric unlike the condition of his house as the music now started to irritate him. "Aghhh, it's boring to listen to this for so long!" His bright teeth with red blood marks gritted as he felt angrier. He needed a better one. Suddenly, an idea hits his head, a deadly smirk coming to show as he broke into a cracked deep laugh, his head thrown back showing off his pale neck, with dried bloody slits adorning it.

"There's always a way to have fun, isn't it?" He mumbled to no one in particular as his fingers started their work into changing the music to a much louder, grainer, noisier music. At this point he was laughing much louder from his choice of music as the torn apart curtains started flying too hard again, the windows still jammed, never betraying their fate. "I want to dance so much at this." The psychotic excitement and passionate love evoking in his heart as he stood up, the stereo now back to its broken throne itself as the dark eyed demon walked in the middle of the room, cracking his neck once.

The click and thud of his steps moving started becoming continuous as the demon found itself drowning in the noise. His movements smooth. His laughs were pure evil as he danced and danced his everything out.

Hongjoong has been observing his lover's movements for awhile and they seemed too energetic, as he finds themselves in the living room after the walk, San jumping and dancing around to music. He smiled as he just sat there watching his love do what he loves. When it comes to dancing, San was really skillful at that. His movements were always clean and skillful. Hongjoong on the other hand, was a failure in that. He was more of the music one than dance one.

"Joongie!!! Come dance with me!!!" San whined as he danced to the beat, smiling his all too beautiful dimple smile. Hongjoong just chuckled shaking his head no until San pouted and stopped flopping himself beside Hongjoong on the couch, his hands immediately wrapping around his arm tugging on it. "Joongie, come on!! Please! Just once!! You never dance with me!!!" San whined like a child, Hongjoong's expression changing to a slightly frustrated one.

"Ayy, I told you I can't dance!! Sannie please no." Hongjoong protested only for San to grow more disappointed as he just fell silent loosening his grip on Hongjoong's arm. Silently getting up and switching the music off, San just grumbled about going to cook dinner before leaving the room. All this while Hongjoong just sat there and now, when San was gone, Hongjoong was regretting things. Bringing his hand up to his hair in frustration, Hongjoong huffed. "I really did upset him this time! Sheesh!"

Getting up and making a stride for the kitchen, Hongjoong walked with the intentions of apologizing to San only for his feet to stop just before the kitchen door. Taking a deep breath in with his eyes closed, Hongjoong nodded, determined. "You can do this, Kim Hongjoong." Slapping his face lightly with both hands, whispering to himself, Hongjoong entered the kitchen door, no acknowledgement gained from the other person already present there.

Wincing Internally at the ignorance, Hongjoong smiled a little before back-hugging San, settling his chin the taller's croak while his hands wrapped around his waist. "Sannie, I'm sorry babe. Please forgive me." Hongjoong mumbled with a pout only to be ignored yet again, San simply working on chopping the carrots.

"Sannie, please I'm sorry, don't be mad please!" Hongjoong requested yet again only to be ignored. Hongjoong stayed there, hugging San as the other cooked not paying attention to him at all. Hongjoong couldn't believe he didn't speak a single word or complained to him about clinging to his back the whole while.

Dinner was really quiet too, San not speaking much or even looking up at Hongjoong and just focusing on his food. Hongjoong however, now was getting concerned, because San's personality wasn't so quiet. He was a social butterfly honestly, he would speak alot all day. And right now, Hongjoong felt so angry on himself for being San's change in behaviour.

San on the other hand wasn't actually angry at Hongjoong but he wasn't in the mood to speak somehow, like even if he wanted, the words weren't ready to come out of his lips. Finishing his dinner, San excused himself saying he is going to take a shower, Hongjoong nodding immediately, after hearing the first sound from San after so long.

There wasn't much change to San's behaviour later when they both laid in bed, Hongjoong reading a book silently, while San just showed himself to be asleep, his back against the other. Hongjoong couldn't even make out the other's shoulder going up and down slightly, as if the other was barely breathing or just trying not to. Sighing and closing the book before switching off the lamp, Hongjoong laid down fully now.

The room was pitch black but Hongjoong could still make out San's sleeping back beside him, as he slowly shuffled closer and drapped his arm above him engulfing his waist in his grip. Hongjoong furrowed his eyebrows at the feeling under his arm, it felt colder than usual. Growing worried Hongjoong wondered why the other's temperature was slightly lower than his usual temperature.

Shuffling to prop himself up on one of his elbow, Hongjoong leaned closer to San before bringing his hand to his soft cheek, it was a little more cold than his body. The other seemed to be sleeping peacefully though. Bringing the blankets up to San's chin, Hongjoong tugged the other carefully until a cold hand grabbed his wrist rather harshly, Hongjoong widening his eyes getting shocked.

"S-Sannie? You're awake? I'm so sorry, I wok-ahhhh!" Scrambling to get his wrist out of the other's cold harsh grip, Hongjoong tried escaping from the nightmare in front of him. There it was, the mirrored San lying there. His skin pale white, his eyes dark, with dried blood on his temples with cuts here and there. Bloody mouth threatening to dirty the bed sheets underneath, his cheeks dark from the reddish-purple veins protruding from his eyes. This must be a dream! He has to wake up from this dream!

Dark laughs echoed through the halls of a pitch black room, only light there, coming from the cracked window, it's shards decorating the floor. The old undead stereo accompanying its owner again as it sat above those glass shards while it's owner danced his all out. Laughing maniacally, he threw his head back, his long black bangs falling on the side, giving more access to his undesirable-to-watch, face.

The clicking of his shoes mixing with shattering of the crystal pieces on the floor, he moved to the ear bursting beat. His eyes reflecting the craziness yet passion they held, just like the colour they held. Bloody Red.

Bloody Red is a weird colour in itself. One moment it becomes the sign of death, violence, destruction showing off in the lifeless, soulless bodies after a war between two parties, the other it becomes the bright light to the lovely smile of a woman as her lipstick. One moment it becomes the fluid of life running through the veins of a person, the other it becomes the thirst of someone. One moment, it shows how it can signify passion for something, the other it shows how it can show the craziness for something.

And right now the one dancing to the ear bursting music was the example of the death, thirst and craziness scenario.

"You'll surely dance, joongie, with your love."
