He and Asta are about to set foot to the Capital to start their journey on being a Magic Knight after receiving their grimoires, then eventually, reach their dreams of being a Wizard King.

"I just...don't want them to leave."

you said, coughing at your own tears. But what can you do? You know since when you were young, the three of you will have to separate ways.

We'll meet again? When? Five years from now? Maybe ten? Or fifteen? When? How can you wait that long for him to come back? Or...what if he doesn't come back anymore? You both aren't sure of the answers yourselves.

"B-But Yuno..." I don't know what to say. I just don't want him to leave.

"Y/N, I don't break promises. We'll meet again, I will meet you again. I promise."

He was the first one to let go from the hug, cupping your cheeks. "I will come back for my queen."

You were left speechless, dumbfounded. The boy you like, no, the boy you love for almost years from now, just told you he's coming back for you. And he promised that. All that's left for you to do is to believe and wait. Those aren't hard tasks.

You smiled before wiping your tears away.

"I'll wait for you, Yuno."

Yuno, the boy born with an emotionless and stoic face, smiled for the first time. In front of you.

"Promise?"

"I don't break promises too."

he kissed your forehead, leaving you frozen.

"That's great."

At this moment, you shared your last hug before your both heard Asta's shouts from outside telling them that Yuno and he should get going. It's still a long journey. Yuno bid goodbye, leaving you with the sister, priest, and the rest of the children. Starting from this moment, you'll have to believe in his words. You'll have to wait.

He will surely come back.

Yuno will come back for you. And on that time, on that promised moment, he'll make sure he'll take you with him, and hopefully, you'll marry him in the end.
