True Colors┊Rill Boismortier
❛ RILL BOISMORTIER ❜
And I see your true colors shining through.
The whole mansion is a mess.
Especially Rill's room. Broken windows, broken doors, and cramped walls. Explosions kept occurring inside and some villagers are starting to get scared.
"I...can't draw the right masterpiece," is what he always says.
You, being Rill's childhood best friend, is getting worried about his state too. His mother is crying and Walter, his personal butler, is already trying to sue him. You know you need to do something, you need to be on his side. He needs you.
Grabbing your grimoire, you ran out of your house before storming inside the Boismortier's mansion, catching everyone's attention.
"Y/N, darling," his mother exclaimed. "I'm glad you came!" She hugged you very tight, crying on your shoulders.
"Can I see Rill, please?" you begged. Right at this moment, the ground shook tremendously and you know it's coming from your best friend's powers.
"Oh my, it's dangerous up there. Don't worry, Y/N, Walter can—"
"Please!"
Rill's mother touched your shoulder before letting out a very deep sigh. You showed her your grimoire, proving that you can protect yourself if there's any danger waiting for you up there.
"Help my son," She pleaded.
"I will. I promise."
You immediately ran upstairs with a worried heart. Seeing Rill sitting on a chair with a canvas in front of him and with a brush on his right hand, he's so stressed. He looks so restless. He's irritated.
"Y/N-sama," Walter acknowledged your presence as you ran beside Rill, tears flowing from your eyes.
"Rill, oh no, Rill!"
"Y/N," He started in a deadpan voice. "I don't know what to draw anymore."
He's just stressed. There's no way he can lose his skill in painting and drawing. He has such a magnificent talent.
"Listen to me, Rill—"
"I can't find any inspiration!" He shouted back. "I can't find my inspiration anymore..."
Your heartache as you saw a tear fell from his left eye. He's...in pain too. Before he could even raise his brush, you hugged him very tight as you cried with him. You knew him very well since you were kids. He may look cheerful and energetic but he's very fragile. He needs someone to look for him. Those are his true colors and you accepted it.
"Hush, Rill. I'm here."
You don't know if your words are enough to comfort him but at least, you want him to know that you're always on his back, supporting him in all decisions he will on his life.
"Y/N-chan?"
"Yes," You smiled at his back. "Your Y/N-chan."
"My Y/N-chan..."
"You told me you can't find your inspiration anymore, Rill. But I want you to know that I'm always here. We can find your inspiration back, we will look for it, and in that way, you can draw again! You can paint such wonderful images again. I am always thrilled whenever I see your works, they're all magnificent and wonderful. Ethereal. The works that only you can do."
Where did I get all the courage to say those words?!
"You're so unique, Rill."
He stopped crying for a while before he hugged you back, caressing your hair in the process. "T-Thank you, Y/N-chan. I..."
"I?" You let go, looking at him straight in the eyes but he just looked away, blushing.
"N-Nothing..."
You let out a chuckle before you touched his cheeks and then pinching them. He's so adorable! You sighed in relief when he calmed down. Finally. At least, in this process, you told him everything. That you will never leave his side forever and you will always support him on the path he will choose.
For Rill, he's so thankful he has you.
