Rewrite the Stars┊Langris Vaude

❛ LANGRIS VAUDE
How can we rewrite the stars?

REQUESTED BY: muiyuuu. Thank you!!

"Langris!"

You stumbled on your own feet, falling on the ground almost face first as you tried to reach for your lover, Langris Vaude. No matter how hard the rain is, it feels like your cries are louder and despite the very cold weather, it doesn't seem to affect you anymore. The man stopped from his tracks, throwing you a very cold stare but his tears are very evident, no matter how hard those droplets of rain hide it from you.

"Y/N, please..."

"Please, Langris! Why, why can't you fight for me?" As your hand turned into fists, you slammed it on the ground.

"Y-You said you love me—"

"I love you!" He roared under his breath. "B-But..."

"Then why can't you fight for me?!" You stood up before grabbing his collar. "Why can't you fight for us?!"

"I can't defy my parents!" He touched your cheeks before shaking his hand. "I just can't..."

"W-What if we rewrite the stars?! You said that you're made to be mine, then prove it to me!"

Looking up, your beautiful orbs met his, only painted with sadness and regret. The both of you are hurting and every second that passes by, your hearts are slowly breaking apart. You love each other so much but fate...seems to be that cruel to let you stay together forever.

"Y/N! Wake up! Everything keeps us apart. It's not up to the both of us, okay?! Tell me, how can we rewrite the stars when everyone tells us what we should be?! Tell me!"

You felt his shaking hands touched yours, gripping it very tight.

"I love you so much and you know it, but it feels so impossible."

Your ears can't believe that those words are really coming from him. Is he serious? Why isn't he bluffing? Why isn't he telling it as if it's just a laughable joke?! The both of you knew that his conversation is going nowhere. No matter how you push yourself to him, he'll just keep denying you because he can't fight for you in front of his parents. He's scared, he's controlled. And it's ruining him.

"B-But I don't want to marry a man I just meet! I only want you."

As you whispered the very last part, you heard shouts coming from your back, calling your name. It's probably the butlers, with your mom. She ordered you to shut Langris up, since the both of you are already going to marry two different persons, and she wanted you to keep locked up inside the mansion until the wedding day. Of course, being a stubborn one, you always defy the rules only to see your lover and only to get pushed away all over again.

"Please, Y/N. I don't want to see you cry anymore."

"Let me cry for you, I don't care!"

"Why are you so stubborn?! I'm breaking up with you! We can't be together anymore–"

"You're just joking! You don't mean that! I don't want to hear anything from you again! You're just fooling around and–"

"Fucking shit, Y/N! I'm serious! I can't have you stuck up with me forever! In the end, we're still bound to break because my hands are tied!"

"Please, Y/N. Let me go."

And with that, he forced your grip out of his collar before bringing his lips to your ear, whispering something very soft as he runs away after. That's the cue when your parents found you alone under the rain, immediately wrapping you with a towel and wiping your very beautiful face as they scolded you with soft words.

"Langris..."

At that very moment, you knew. There'll be no Y/N and Langris again, or more like, there's so such thing like that in the first place. All the dreams you planned with him: having a perfect wedding, having three kids (two boys and a girl), and growing old with each other; it can't happen anymore. He said that when you're together, the both of you can surpass any challenge that may come your way.

So how the hell could this thing happen? Break-up?! Everything seemed so absurd.

As his voice rang on your ears again, your sight grew blurry and your world turned very fast around you as you lost consciousness.

"For the best, I hope we don't see each other again."

Sitting in the very corner of your room, you hug your knees before burying your head into it. Next month, it'll be your wedding day and your fiancé, Solid Silva, preferred to temporarily go back into his own mansion so you won't be pressured to prepare yourself. But deep, deep down, you're thinking that this is the very ideal way of running away once again or you wish that Langris will come and get you.

That's when something broke. It's...your window?! But why, the wind itself can't break it. Wiping your tears before slowly standing up, walking towards near the terrace where the window broke, you saw a stone on the floor. Someone probably threw it from below. But who? A thief?! Bad guy?! Your hands are shaking while looking for the communication device yet it's not in your pocket. As your peripheral caught a small figure jumping with his two hands on air.

"Oh my God, it's Langris."

You opened the terrace door, careful not to make any unnecessary sound.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" You half-shouted, half-whispered.

You watched as his tiny hands grabbed his grimoire from his pocket, activating afterward, and the next thing you knew he was already hugging you.

"W-Why are you here?"

Your voice broke and tears started to dwell on the corners of your eyes. You can't believe what you're seeing. He's here. Langris is here right here in front of you, hugging you with his tiny arms. The man you've been waiting for even if he tried to push you several times again.

"I..."

He looked into your eyes before cupping your fluffy cheeks. "I finally talked to my parents and I asked them to cancel my marriage."

Your jaw drops as you blinked twice. You're totally speechless.

"H-How? When, why?" You shook your head. "Why?!"

"Because I love you, Y/N!"

"But I'm going to get married next month!"

He bit his lip. "I don't care! I can talk to your mom—"

As he tried to drag you away from the terrace to search for your mother, you immediately stopped him. She's already on her bed and everything is perfectly set up already. There's no way you pull out or cancel everything.

"She might kill you and everything is already set. I can't cancel this anymore."

"You're joking, right?"

You nervously chuckled. "Obviously, no."

He took a very deep breath and before you can even blink, his lips are roughly kissing yours. You grabbed his neck, wanting more. Of course, you missed him! It was roughly three months since that incident under the rain happened, and you deeply craved for his touch. The connection became much wilder and hotter and no one ever tries to pull back. It was like a competition, trying to see who can give up first.

That's when you feel the cold yet soft bed hitting your back as Langris hovered over you.

"You told me everything is set up already?"

You nodded, blushing.

"And you can't cancel it anymore?"

"I...yes."

He smirked before his lips attacked your neck, making you grip on his hair. He used the opportunity to whisper in your ear. You don't care what happens tomorrow, or the next day or even in the future. As long as Langris is here by your side, you're now sure that you can overcome any challenge that may come your way.

"And I'm pretty sure I heard you tell me that your mom might kill me?"

You moaned as a response but that was enough for him to throw his very famous sly smile, making your heart beat faster than ever.

"Well, I guess if you ended up pregnant, she can't kill the father of your child, right?"

You're mad at yourself just by thinking how right he is.
