"Licht!"

"Oh, Lumiere!"

The white-haired elf settled down the plate of food he was holding before rushing to his friend, Lumiere, who just came to their village with his sister. This morning, the elves are planning to have a feast to celebrate a simple festival they traditionally do. We can say that it's a thanksgiving for a prosperous living.

"Come and join us for breakfast," Licht invited the siblings before they eagerly sat down beside the other elves.

"I heard there'll be a feast tonight?" Lumiere asked before taking the food that the cutie, small Patri gave him.

"Yes," Licht nodded. "And my sister is coming home tonight to celebrate with us."

"You have a sister?"

The blonde's eyes grew bigger as he looked at his best friend. This is the first time that Licht ever mentioned that he has a sister, and that is you. You, being the adventurous one, decided to have a little travel to the Clover Kingdom with a human disguise. Of course, you can't let other people know that you're an elf, they'll surely freak out. But deep inside you, there is a desire–no, more like a dream that you wanted to reach. Someday, you wanted to see humans and elves getting along. That will surely be a beautiful sight and a great achievement to aim for.

"Can I ask for her name?"

"Y/N," Licht answered with a smile. "And I think that you'll get along well."

[ TIMESKIP ]

"Brother!"

Dropping all the baskets you are carrying to the grassy ground, you ran to your brother as he gave you a very warm and welcoming embrace. Licht even patted your head before messing your hair.

You pouted, "Hey! I had a hard time fixing my hair!"

"You still looked like a duck, what's the difference?"

You narrowed your eyes at your brother before punching him hard on the shoulder, making him wince in pain. That's when Lumiere peeked from the tree, climbing down with a book in his hand. Being a gentleman, he bowed in front of you, taking your hand before kissing the back of it, gently. It made you stop for a moment, blinking twice to process what just happened.

"A-Ah, excuse me?"

"You must be Y/N," Lumiere smiled. "I'm Lumiere Silvamillion, Licht's best friend."

Your lips formed an O-shape before bowing too. Hey, he's a royal and the very first Wizard King. It's normal to show respect. You formally introduced yourself before giving him a very sweet and genuine smile. Remembering the goods you bought at the Capital, a child elf hugged you before lending you an apron. Yes, the whole village is already preparing for the feast tonight.

"I bought all the ingredients needed for my cake, Licht!"

You called your brother as you strongly carried all the baskets but your brother just gave a thumbs up, leaving you to help with the other chores. Until someone appeared in front of you with a helping smile.

"Let me carry them for you."

You took a moment to stare at his beautiful face, memorizing his features and all. Damn, he's cute–no, handsome! Blushing a bit, you averted your gaze at him.

"T-Thanks but I can manage–"

"C'mon, don't be shy. I can help you with baking too, Y/N-chan!"

Well, you guess there's no stopping him. Chuckling, you gave him the baskets before proceeding to the kitchen as he followed you from behind. This is going to be a long day.

[ TIMESKIP ]

"So, how's the Capital?"

Sparks appeared on your e/c orbs as Lumiere asked you that question while cracking eggs and putting them on the bowl.

"The Capital is so huge and, there're so many people! There's this little shop, Pâtisserie, and they offer such tasty cakes and goods! They even serve the best coffee ever!"

"Oh?" The blonde looked at you. "It's my favorite cafeteria in the Capital."

"Really?! Me too! And then I saw the Magic Knights Captains! They're all so strong and their magics are all amazing! You know, I've been thinking about something. You can laugh at me, don't worry."

"I won't laugh, Y/N, promise."

You abruptly stop from mixing before you and Lumiere's eyes met, "I want humans and elves to get along!"

Closing your eyes, you savored the moment to tell him about your dream. "It may sound impossible, but I really do want that to happen. There's this line between humans and elves because many people will surely treat us differently, but I don't want that to happen anymore. I want to erase that line binding us from getting together. We act like humans, we eat like humans, we live like humans that's why I think seeing people and creatures like me get along will be beautiful scenery. Don't you think?"

You looked at Lumiere. "I hope that someday, someone will make it happen."

The blonde boy was mesmerized. He became speechless. The words you told him are too precious and genuine that it made his mind went blank for a moment. Now, someone is sharing the same dream with him, Y/N L/N, a normal elf with such high hopes for humanity to get along with their race. Lumiere's heart skips a beat as he felt like his world turned slow motion. You're beautiful, not only physically, but also your personality. Everything in you caught him off guard.

"I'm dreaming the same thing too," he said, softly.

"That's why," you caught his hands before bringing it closer to your heart. "Thank you for getting along with us elves. Thank you for understanding our nature and thank you...for sharing the same aim with me."

"Y-You're welcome."

As his heartbeat increased, you let go before going back to the batter you're preparing. However big, however small, Lumiere will obviously do his best to achieve that dream of yours. Every night before you lie in your bed, the brightest colors will fill your head and you just can't help but get excited by the thought of it.

"I have so many stories to tell you, Lumiere! But, let's finish the cake first, shall we?"

"I agree, Y/N-chan!"

[ TIMESKIP ]

As you tilted your head to watch the fireworks shining on the dark, starry sky, you felt a presence beside you.

"It's so beautiful," You whispered as Lumiere looked at you.

"Yeah," he smiled, staring at your smiling face while looking above. "It's really beautiful."

The feast started hours ago and the whole village is very lively. Music and dance performances everywhere with kids running around with candies on their small hands. The rest are enjoying the meals, especially the huge cake that you and Lumiere baked for hours. Licht was the one who designed it together with Lumiere's sister and it turned unbelievably beautiful. You never thought that your brother could do something like that.

"Will you be back tomorrow, Lumi?"

The blonde nodded. "I will always visit this village, Y/N-chan, don't worry."

"I'll look forward to it."

With a swift motion, you enveloped him with a warm embrace as he unconsciously blushed.

"I finally got a human friend," you whispered under your breath as your nose brushed against his neck.

"I'm so proud to be your first then."

Letting go, you cupped his cheeks with your warm palms. "Come back tomorrow, okay? I'll bake strawberry tarts for you and your sister! I bought fresh strawberries from the Capital yesterday so I planned to use it for tomorrow's delicacies."

Lumiere smiled at your enthusiasm before nodding his head.

"I bet that it'll turn out good, Y/N."
