Don't Need Nobody┊Langris Vaude
❛ LANGRIS VAUDE ❜
I don't need nobody, need nobody but you.
REQUESTED BY: muiyuuu. Thank you!!
With your shaky hands and heart beating very fast inside your chest, you held this basin tightly. Knowing Langris, your Vice-Captain as well as your crush, he was really serious. Arrogant with a stoic face, that's him. You don't know how his very cold voice mesmerized your ears and even though he's harsh towards you, you still can't help but fell in love with him.
You remembered your captain's orders, "Take care of Langris."
Is fate playing with you? Langris won't even talk to you (except when he's giving damn orders) or won't even look at your small figure. Why? Just because.
After a very long mission, your Vice Captain came home with a very severe injury on his leg and he won't be able to walk for another couple of days. Then, just this morning, William ordered you to watch over Langris because he's sick. Now, you're stuck with this piece of cloth and basin on hand. Sighing, you knocked three times on his door.
"Whoever idiot you are, come in."
You bit your lip. "You can be nicer, you know?"
Whispering under your breath, you opened his door, catching him reading a book while sitting on his bed. He's sick! He should be taking a rest! But dang, he's so handsome even though he's just in his normal clothes. The way the sunlight hit his face, adding glamorous effects on his features, damn.
"Why the hell are you here?" He asked, not bothering to take his gaze away from his book.
"I, uh—"
"I don't need your help."
Your eyebrows twitched, barely thinking if he can read your thoughts. "B-But Captain ordered me to—"
"I don't fucking care," He closed his book. "I'm just sick, I'm not dying. I can take care of myself."
Setting the basin down, you started wetting the piece of cloth you were holding before folding it into two, ready to put on Langris' forehead. Attempting to take his book from him temporarily, he immediately shot a very deadly glare towards you.
"Can't you understand me?! I said I don't need your help, get the fuck out!"
"No," You shook your head. "I am going to watch over you, Langris."
"Call me with honorifics, you stupid—"
"Why would I?" You raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm talking to you as Y/N, not as your underclassman. Now, I will take care of you so shut the fuck up."
"Why you—"
That was the very first time you cursed. Yes, believe me, you're a very soft girl. A very friendly one. As much as you hated to do it, you have to compete with Langris' attitude or else you're both going nowhere. He was a flame, and you were a moth. You knew exactly well that on the moment you fell in love with him that you're going to burn. He was born arrogant and boastful, prideful. He's damn independent, not wanting anyone to stay beside him.
But will he stay like this forever? You don't want to watch him become miserable and for once, you want him to realize what it feels like to have someone watching over you, appreciating you in everything you do. Langris kept telling himself that he doesn't need anybody, but deep, deep down, he's just lying. He needs someone. And hopefully, it's you.
You softly pushed his shoulders for his head to hit his very comforting pillow before putting the cloth on his forehead. The way your skin touches he was very calming. It was warm and soft, catching him off guard. Taking off the medicines from your pockets, you handed one at him.
"Drink it."
"No," He said looking away.
You mentally cursed. "Being stubborn, aren't we?"
With that, you swallowed the pill before grabbing Langris with his shirt, kissing him roughly on the lips. That's when you transferred the medicine from your mouth to his, leaving no choice but to swallow it. Once you pulled back, he immediately coughed so the first thing you did was to give him water. You watched how his cheeks burned with pure embarrassment, adding cuteness.
Realizing what you have done, your eyes grew bigger and a crimson blush crept at your cheeks too. No one bothered to speak at first, leaving you both with an uneasy and awkward atmosphere.
"I-I'm sorry—"
"It was soft."
You blinked twice, trying to process what he just told you. "W-What?"
"Your lips are so soft."
He commented it without bothering to look at you and instead, you saw how he fidgeted his fingers while clutching on his soft blanket wrapped around on the lower half of his body. You bit your inner cheek, trying your best not to smile and squeal at the same time.
"I-I better take a nap."
"Yes, Langris. You should take a rest."
He slowly turned his back at you but before he could even drift into a deep slumber he spoke once again.
"Will you leave me while I'm sleeping?"
You smiled at the question, shaking your head. "No. I'll watch over you until you get better, okay?"
You sat on his bed, squeezing his hand reassuringly afterward before singing a soft lullaby. Finally, he found somebody to lean on. He finally started to learn how to need somebody, someone to love and appreciate him genuinely, and luckily, it was you.
He doesn't need anybody, needs nobody but you.
