The previous timid, shy, and nerdy-like girl Y/N entered the large halls of the Golden Dawn base to report. After your two-month break bestowed by your Captain William because you just finished a very successful mission that lasted for almost a month, you came back with a different aura enveloping your entire system. Dropped the eyeglasses, dropped those long skirts, dropped that introverted energy, and instead, you let your true and new colors shine. You learned to take care of yourself, you finally learned how to fix your eyebrows, to put some make-up, to be you.

Well, a glow-up.

If you're asking me why, well, it's just normal for girls to have that glow-up thing after a major break-up, right? Well, that stuff exactly happened to you.

You just suffered from a tremendous break-up with your ex-boyfriend, Yuno. He was your boyfriend ever since you joined the Magic Knights and at the same time, you both got accepted on the Golden Dawn squad. Yuno was the timid type, shy but more stoic than you. You liked how he looked so mysterious yet so cuddly when it comes to you. Yuno always stayed on your back, saving and supporting you in all things that you wanted to do.

But one day, everything changed.

He became cold. The burning fire in your relationship suddenly died. You thought it was normal at first, that he just wanted some space so you let him, but didn't expect to end up with him breaking up with you.

"Y-Yuno, let's talk about this!" You said, trying to grab his arm but quickly shoved it away from you.

"We have nothing to talk about," his usual cold voice became colder that it almost sent shivers down your spine. The tears on your eyes clouded your vision as you tried to keep your voice down or else your friends might hear this argument.

"Why?! I need a reason, Yuno! I deserve an explanation or–"

"You need a reason?!"

His piercing eyes stared at your scared ones. It feels like you're not talking to the Yuno you used to know. It feels like he's a different person. What happened? Why is this happening? There are so many things running in your mind but you can't open your mouth again, you can't find your voice. You're just shaking here, waiting for his response as you nodded.

"I don't love you anymore!"

You heard your heart shattered into pieces like it was a glass that fell to the ground.

"W-Why?" You whispered, slowly falling on your knees.

"Just because."

"Just because?!" You roared. "You're such a jerk!"

"I am, Y/N! I am a jerk that's why I'm breaking up with you! I can't have you tailing me forever, I'm getting sick with this stupid relationship! Is this what you want, a reason? An explanation?! Then there, you have it!"

You bite your lip as you watched him walk away. You can't chase him anymore. It was his choice. It was his choice to break up with you, to walk out of your life. It's not your fault, you knew you gave everything to him. You did your best to give him all your love and affection to the point that nothing was left to you. Now, you're just an empty vessel. Like a dead weight. It was all his fault.

"I-Is that you, Y/N?"

Your eyes landed on Mimosa and Klaus as you met them in the hallway. The brown-haired girl rushed to your side, hugging you as you accepted it gladly.

"I missed you so much, Mimosa!"

"You looked so different, Y/N-chan."

Letting go from the embrace, you smiled at Klaus before tucking the loose strands of hair on the back of your ear. Of course, you changed your looks. You finally wore the official uniform of your squad (the one with the short skirt), you didn't put your hair in a ponytail, and instead, you let it fall on your back and it suits you perfectly. You loved your new look.

"T-Thank you."

"But she still looked somewhat shy," Mimosa commented, anchoring her arms with yours. 

You guessed they're all going to report to Captain Vangeance too so the three of you marched towards the main hall. The trio talked about how your break went as you confessed what is the reason behind it. The break-up. You had to cope up and rebuild your confidence. The issue was pretty sour so they didn't mind asking any more questions, much more, it favored you.

As you took a left turn, you all stopped when your eyes landed on a familiar figure standing in front of your captain's office door.

It was Yuno.

Mimosa and Klaus stopped in their tracks to look at you worriedly but they were surprised when they saw you smirking. You didn't panic. You're calm and collected and you gave them the creeps. Elegantly walking towards the office, you knocked thrice when Yuno looked at you. He was caught off guard and he stared at you for a minute.

"I-Is that you—"

"Oh hi, Yuno," You gave him a bright smile. "How are you?"

"F-Fine. You? How are you?"

You chuckled, placing a hand on his shoulder as he froze in his place. Oh God, you love that expression of his. You liked how he tensed on his position, you liked how nervous he is right now.

"Loosen up, it's just me."

He smiled sheepishly before trying to catch your hand but you immediately took it off from his shoulder, giving him a fake smile. You're smiling yet your eyes are very fierce. It's like you're looking through him, watching his soul.

"Anyways, I'm doing great."

"That's good to hear, Y/N. D-Do you...have a moment?"

You nodded before starting to walk away, followed by the black-haired boy. Mimosa and the others stayed out of the scene, giving the both of you time to catch up with others' lives. You and Yuno both ended up in the garden as you sat idly on a bench, legs crossed. Yuno, on the other hand, was on his way to sit beside you but you raised your palm in front of him, stopping Yuno while shaking your head.

"Please," You stated coldly. "We're not close."

"Oh," He said, remaining standing. "Sorry."

Rolling your eyes, you crossed your arms on your chest. "So, what do you want to talk about?"

"I just wanted to say sorry—"

"For?"

"For what I did to you. For leaving you like that, for breaking your heart. I knew I hurt you, Y/N. And I haven't given you a proper explanation. I just left you like that, saying that I don't love you anymore but I still do—"

"Yuno."

You interrupted his dramatic speech. As far as you knew, Yuno is the type of boy who doesn't care for the feelings of others. Because if he does, he wouldn't leave you like that. He won't hurt you like that.

"Do I look like I need your sorry? Do I look like I still needed an explanation? Saying you don't love me anymore just because was already enough."

You stood up as your palm landed on his cheek. It wasn't involuntary but you acted like you don't mean to do it, putting a hand on your mouth to add an expression.

"Oh my God, sorry. My palm suddenly flew!"

Sarcasm was painted on your tone. You bit your lip as he tried looking at you. His expression is so priceless, he looked so damn sad. He looked so hurt. My God, he could be an actor! But he didn't get mad. He let you slapped him once more as your tears mindlessly fell from your eyes.

"I've been wanting to slap you for so long. Too bad I was too weak to give you that when you left me."

And with that, you left him in the garden, alone. Standing there frozen, trying to process everything you just said. He knew band-aids don't fix bullet holes but he didn't say sorry just for a show. He really meant it, he really means everything he just told you. Now, you've both got problems but he thinks that it can't be solved anymore. He made a really deep cut and he hurt you so bad.

He knew it used to be mad love, but now, you've only got bad blood.

"And it was my fault," He whispered.
