An alternate universe where when one person gets a tattoo, it appears on their soulmate's body too, at the same place. Ruel is a famous singer and y/n his die-hard fan.

"Cassia I'm scared."

"Don't worry y/n. Tattoos don't hurt much."

"I'm not scared about that! I'm scared that whoever my soulmate is won't like this tattoo." Y/n admits. She and her best friend Cassia are on their way to get tattoos together. Cassia has got two tattoos before. She met her soulmate when she was at a café, and her waiter had the same tattoos as Cassia at the same places.

Cassia stops y/n from walking as she stood right in front of her. She grips her shoulders tightly and says, "your soulmate will love everything about you." Y/n nods and Cassia lets go of her shoulders and both of them continue to walk to the tattoo shop.

"Anyways, are you excited for the Ruel concert we're going to tomorrow?" Cassia asks as she kicks a stone lying in her path. At the mention of the concert she's going to tomorrow, y/n's worries wither away and get replaced by cheers and merries. "I'm so excited, you have no idea."

Ruel is Cassia and y/n's favorite artist. Being one who they discovered together, his music means a lot to both of them. It's like a special symbol of their friendship.

"We're here." Cassia says, snapping y/n out of her dreams. They were standing in front of a grunge looking tattoo shop. Cassia and y/n walk inside.

"Appointment of Cassia James and y/n y/l/n." Cassia says to the receptionist, who was busy typing something on her computer. She looks up from her computer and motions Cassia and y/n to walk inside the small room next to them to get the tattoos.

"You wanna go first, or should I?" Cassia asks.

"I'll go first." Y/n says. She sits on the chair and a large man with a tattoo machine in his hand comes out.

"What tattoo do you want?" The man asks y/n in his deep, gruff voice.

Y/n clears her throat before speaking, "a small peace sign on my right hand's wrist." The man nods and begins making y/n's tattoo.

After one and a half hour:

"And done." The man says as he lifts the machine from Cassia's arm. Cassia and y/n pay and quickly go outside.

"See you tomorrow at the venue?" Cassia asks.

"Yup tomorrow." Y/n replies. After bidding farewell to each other, y/n and Cassia go back to their own homes.

The next day; morning:

At Ruel's place:

Ruel made way out of his bed and quickly ran to the washroom to freshen up. As he opens the faucet and bends down to wash his face, he notices something unusual on his hand.

"What the-" He exclaims, bringing up his right hand's wrist closer to his eyes, while closing the faucet using his other hand. Upon inspecting is closely, he notices a peace sign etched on his skin.

"How did it appear here?" Ruel wonders. Then it hit him; his soulmate got one, that's why he has it. This made him excited.

"Mum!" Ruel exclaims as he ran down the stairs to the kitchen where his mother was preparing food. "Mum!" He exclaimed again as he reached the kitchen.

"Yes Ruel?" His mother, Kate asks calmly as she pulls out eggs from the refrigerator.

"Look at this!" He exclaims excitedly as he shows his mother the tattoo which appeared on his skin overnight.

"Whoa!" Kate breathes out.

"I know right?! My soulmate has amazing taste." Ruel sasses as his mother smacks his chest.

"Why were you shouting Ruel?" Coco, Ruel's older sister groans as she comes down from her own room.

"Look!" He shows his wrist to Coco, who gasps at the sight.

"Just find the girl with a peace sign on her wrist and she's your soulmate." Coco says and Ruel nods his head vigorously.

"Okay Ruel, you have a concert in the afternoon. Go and change please. We are supposed to be at the venue in a few hours." Kate says. "We can talk about this tattoo later."

Ruel runs up to his room to get ready for his upcoming concert.

At 3.00 pm, the time of the concert:

"WHAT'S UP SYDNEY!!!" Ruel shouts in his mic, receiving extreme loud cheers and hootings in return.

"This song is called 'up to something'." Ruel says before beginning to sing this song.

Y/n was in the front row with Cassia. She began screaming loudly at the mention of 'up to something'. This being her favorite song, she began singing along with him.

"Its been way to hard to feel something
You're numb on my skin
Can you speak a little louder
You're up to something
Are you up to something?"

Ruel and the entire crowd sang out loud. Ruel came forward and let his right hand out in the crowd. He let his hand out for y/n who held it with her own right hand as she screamed loudly. Her eyes went down to Ruel's wrist, and she notices the tattoo of the peace sign. Ruel notices her gaze down on his wrist, and his eyes train down to her wrist, and he notices the tattoo too. Y/n stared at Ruel with her eyes widened, and Ruel stared back at her too, but he kept on singing.

"OH MY GOD Y/N!" Cassia exclaims as she shakes y/n's shoulder vigorously. Ruel had walked away from them to the other part of the crowd. Y/n was still in a shock from the past moment. Ruel Van Dijk is her soulmate!!

"RUEL IS MY SOULMATE!!" Y/n shouts as she snaps out of her daydream and gives a big hug to Cassia.

The meet and greet after the concert:

"Go inside!" Cassia ushers y/n inside. Y/n still wasn't over the fact that Ruel is her soulmate. Y/n takes a deep breathe and walks inside.

Y/n enters the room and Ruel looks up at her from the couch he was sitting on. A smile graces his face as he gets up from his position and walks up to her.

"So you're the one." He breathes out, holding her right hand in his own, looking at their same tattoos.

I hope you enjoyed the second imagine too! I really like the idea of such an AU honestly. I really don't want to get tattoos because they hurt a lot, but they're extremely cool. So I want them and don't want them at the same time. But if we lived in such a universe, I'd love to get one. And I sincerely apologise for the frequent time skips.
