𝐕. jab amara met shubman (pt. 2)

WARNINGS: Swearing

WORDS: 1150

Amara could not believe that Shubman Gill was standing there.

"What are you staring at?" Aryan asked her but then was shocked when he saw her eyes staring at the human on the field.

"WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT?!" their grandpa yelled, "SRH PLAYERS ARE MORE HOTTER THAN GT PLAYERS, ESPECIALLY MAMA MARKRAM"

"Well..." Amara started, "Maybe if I cheer for GT this match-"

"YOU PREGNANT ASSHOLE WILL ONLY CHEER FOR SRH AND MAMA MARKRAM, GOT IT!? OR YOU AND THE BABY ARE NO MORE". Her grandpa interrupted which made Aryan laugh so hard that he fell on the floor.

"Ok, ok! Chill old Tata!" Amara put her hands up in mock surrender. Grandpa glared at her and Aryan got back up from the floor.

"Tata, teach me roasts for Walker pleseeeee!" Aryan begged. Grandpa ignored him, he loved Mama Markram more than his wife, children, and grandchildren.

The match started and GT batted first. "Damn Tata, baby daddy team is crushing Mama Markram's team," Aryan said to himself, but old Grandpa glared at him.

And that Shubman Gill, Amara's baby daddy, was absolutely beating the SRH bowlers up so badly. 30 minutes into the match, Shubman was already at his half century. And then his century.

Finally, he got out. ON A WHOPPING 129 RUNS?!

"Well it looks like someone got a well deserved applause!" One of the commentators exclaimed, "And we've got the famous singer with her brother applauding too!"

Shubman looked at the crowd and noticed Amara. "Oh my god, it's her!" Shubman said to himself quietly.

"I think he saw me!" Amara told Aryan. Aryan shook his head. "Don't get your hopes up too high, he could be staring at someone else."

"Aryan!" Amara yelled. "Just shut up!"

Aryan put his hands up in mock surrender. "Hey! Chill! It's probably true! Or maybe... you like him!".

Amara pushed him. "Do you want me to reveal your Rolling in the deep cover to the cast? And Chunnie?"

Aryan chuckled hesitantly. "Uh, no! Please."

Amara nodded. "Good." And she sat back down. The match countinued with SRH having to chase a high total.

"COME ON MAMA MARKRAM!" Grandpa exclaimed. But it turns out, Mama Markram was failing and Amara was enjoying it.

At the end, GT won, and Amara was actually quite happy. "Tata, I'm gonna stay here. You go ." Amara told Grandpa.

Grandpa rolled his eyes. "Fine, if you keep Aryan with you. Text me when your ready to go, and I'll call the driver."

Aryan nodded eagerly and Amara reluctantly agreed. "Fine, Aryan try not to be rizzful."

Grandpa finally left, and Amara and Aryan were left there, one of the last few people to leave the stadium.

"Aryan,I'm gonna go meet the Shubman guy, and tell him about everything." Amara told him. "You can come along, and be nice!"

Aryan rolled his eyes but he was excited to meet some cricketers that were actually famous. "Ok, but I'm really excited!"

They made their way to the GT dugout which was a big pavilion. "This must be it." Amara said as she pushed the door open.

When she opened it, Amara wanted to crawl back into a hole and never come out. It was the SRH dugout.

One of the players looked shocked (it wasn't Aiden Markram because Amara knew what he looked like). "Oh my god! Amara Simhadri!"

Amara chuckled hesitantly. "Uh... hi!". The player introduced himself. "I'm Abhishek Sharma, I love your music!"

Amara smiled. "Thanks! But, I'm supposed to be in the GT dugout?"

Aiden Markram smiled. "It's right across from us, also, I would love to get an autograph for my daughter. She's a really big fan of your music, especially the song Gold Rush."

Amara chuckled. "Of course! My grandpa is also a very big fan of yours, so I also might need an autograph!"

They both exchanged their autographs and Aryan and Amara went across to the other side, to the GT dugout. "This is it." Amara said, her heart pounding.

"Uh, I'll actually wait outside. Because I want you to have a private moment with your... you know what." Aryan said as he stood outside.

Amara nodded and pushed the door open. Now, Amara was scared, but she still opened it. And there were the GT players. Hardik Pandya, the captain was there, and Amara's heart stopped when she saw Shubman.

Hardik looked at Shubman and smirked. "Looks like you two need a private moment." He said as he left the room.

Shubman looked down and put him bat down. "Hi, Amara. I'm actually super happy to meet you." He smiled.

"Hey, Shubman. If I'm pronouncing it correctly. So about that night-"

Shubman sighed. "It was my fault, we went too far. I'm sorry, it won't happen again. I feel like an idiot now."

"Hey, don't say that about yourself." Amara consoled him. "You're amazing, and I watched you play. I never watched cricket and this is my first match. And wow, you played so well."

Shubman looked shocked but nodded, but he still looked down with regret. "Thanks, Amara. It's nice to hear that after I idoled you for like 6 years. How are you? The baby? Are you healthy? I-"

"I'm absolutely fine, Shubman. Don't worry, our child will be safe." Amara consoled him as she held his hand. Shubman felt sparks fly between them and so did Amara.

"So, what do we do?" Amara asked. Shubman looked up, they made eye contact for a spilt second.

"Look, I don't think I can come to LA, but I promise, I will call every time just to check on you. I might also fix my schedules a bit just to come." Shubman sighed but he looked guilty.

The two stayed silent for a while. Amara squeezed his hand. Shubman finally took a deep breath and spoke. "Amara, I didn't tell you this yet, but I like you. Ever since your debut album was released, I loved it. And you, I didn't expect us to meet like this."

Amara nodded. "Shubman, I don't know if I feel the same way or not, but it's fine, really."

Shubman smiled. "Thanks, Amara. It was nice meeting you, also tell your brother I said hi!".

Amara nodded and before she left, she quickly planted a small kiss on Shubman's cheek. Shubman blushed and smiled a little.

Aryan was outside, playing a game on his phone. When he saw Amara, he smiled.

"So... how was it?" He asked her. Amara smiled. "He was more cuter up close, and he was really nice."

"Ohhh, so you're basically in love?" Aryan asked with a smirk, "Wait till I tell Walker, Charlie, Dior and Leah about this."

"NO!"

"Ok, fine. But we should get going now." Aryan chuckled. Amara nodded. "Yeah, it's getting late."

The two walked out of the stadium, with the moment replaying in Amara's head over and over again. His dimples made her blush, and his smile. The sun set, with the day ending. Sparks really did fly.
