LIEUTENANT JAMIE KODALAY IS ONE OF THE MOST talented naval aviators in the entire world. her official record goes right along with that obvious bit of information. she's basically a legend for what she managed to accomplish-and for how she got from point a to point b in her life. as a child, jamie basically had to raise herself from the age of 10+, and so she did an excellent job of it. blew everybody's minds; when she got into high school an interest in becoming a pilot began. she couldn't determine whether she wanted to be an airplane pilot or a naval aviator, but regardless, at the age of 15, she began to work out. healthily working out, her strategies and techniques were always supported by her teachers and her friends (especially her best friend since diapers, bradley bradshaw).

she joined the united states naval academy alongside bradley 'rooster' bradshaw, and made quick friends with jake 'hangman' seresin, javy 'coyote' machado, reuben 'payback' fitch, but one person was different than the rest of them, and that was natasha 'phoenix' trace. she was different than the rest of them, and for the longest time, jamie (or 'june', as the nickname-turned-call-sign has turned popular with her association) could not figure out why natasha felt so different from everybody else. but one night, drunkenly, bradley pointed out that she had feelings for lieutenant trace, and the rest was history...

lieutenant kodalay spent a year and a half deployed in afghanistan as a medic (while waiting for her acceptance to officially go out as a pilot), and after coming back home, she started flight school. although she was a bit behind her friend group, she caught up in record, eye-catching time. in fact, she went above and beyond, finishing at the top of her class. her top of the class record caught the eyes of top gun, and some years (?) later, she was brought back with everybody who was the best of the best, including her girlfriend, natasha trace, and her best friend, bradley bradshaw. do they know what this mission is? not yet, but all they know is that this will be the most difficult mission of their lives.
