THE FRANKEL FOOTAGE

CHAPTER TWO
"I'm sick of your bullshit, Five!"

"That went well," I muttered, walking out with Five. "Diego will be fine," Five reassured, his hands in his pocket. "And how do you know that?" I asked, turning my head at him. "Because Diego will make it out just fine," Five answered.

"This is such bullshit," I mumbled, walking away from Five. "And where are you going?" Five crossed his arms. "Back to Elliot's," I rolled my eyes.

"Don't tell me you're deciding to have a stupid argument with me now," Five quickened his pace, trying to catch up with me.

"What did I do?" Five asked, his tone laced with concern. "You left me here for a year and come waltzing in and expect sunshine and rainbows," I started ranting on. "I'm sorry, look I just got here this morning and I'm trying to fix this--" Five tried reasoning.

"I'm sick of your bullshit!" I blurted out. Five paused in shock, "My bullshit?! What did I do?" Five raised his hands in defense.

"The moment you came back, everything turned into chaos," I reminded him. "Well, you don't have to deal with me," Five said with an annoyed sigh.

"Yes, I do. I know damn well you don't have anywhere else to go," I said, stopping in the middle of the street.

Five paused for a moment, knowing I was right. He hated it when I was right. "Stop being so stubborn," Five muttered.

"Another apocalypse is coming? Our siblings scattered across Dallas? Diego's in some mental asylum, and I'll assume Luther is in some mafia boss shit where he fights for a living," I raised my voice with each word, and my anger started boiling inside me.

"Just stop, okay?" Five said as he walked closer to me. "No, you fucked my life the minute you fucking came back!" I looked at Five with irritation. "Hey, watch yourself. This isn't all my fault," Five warned as he started to raise his voice.

"Then explain to me how the hell did it follow us?" I asked. "How the hell should I know? You think I want this thing to happen?" Five screamed, clenching his fists.

"Five! You left me here and expect all sunshine and rainbows when you come back, I think you mistake me for Delores!" I walked closer to his face.

"Will you shut up?" Five said as he stepped closer to me, his face turning a light shade of pink from irritation to frustration.

"No," I shook my head, not letting go of the sudden remembrance of the grudge. "I said shut up," Five warned sternly, stepping closer.

"We're going back to Elliot's apartment and fixing this," Five tried grabbing my wrists. "No! You will leave Elliot's. I don't need you messing up my life any more than you already did,"

Five clenched his jaw, holding back the urge to push me against the wall. "Fine," He agreed, annoyance in his tone. "I'll leave," Five accepted, letting go of my wrists harshly.

I began walking away from him, leaving him alone on the street.

I walked out of the bathroom to see Five standing in the living room. "Who the hell let you in?" I scoffed, crossing my arms. "I can teleport, remember?" Five reminded me. "Damn it," I muttered quietly, forgetting about his powers.

"Elliot, did you develop these photos yourself?" Five asked, observing the photos pinned on the wall. "Of course, can't exactly drop that stuff off at the neighbor Fotomat," Elliot explained, holding a bowl of cereal.

"Government has eyes everywhere," Elliott motioned 'someone is watching' with his fingers. "I didn't see darkroom," Five pointed out, curious how Elliott managed to fix all these photos. "Yeah, I converted the hallway closet," Elliott pointed to a closet in the narrow hallway.

I watched Five pick up a pencil, swiping the black shade over the date over the film. "Can you develop this?" Five requested, holding out the box. "Hmm?" Elliott acknowledged, fixing the radio.

"Huh, "Frankel Footage". Friends of yours?" Elliott inspected the box, flipping it back and forth. "Cousins on my Robot Mother's side," Five lied. "Can you do it or not?" five returned to a stoic look. "Sure I can," Elliott nodded. "How long?" I asked, curious about how he developed those photos.

"Well, I mean, I'm running low on acetic acid. Beeker's Cameras is open today but it's two miles away. I mean I'd have to take the bus," Elliott explained, Five and I listened closely. "ON the other hand, Gibson's is only ten blocks away, but I gotta cut through the park and there's pigeons--"

"Elliott,"

"It's like five, maybe six hours," Elliott concluded.

"Attention all units, we have a code 3-15 at the Holbrook Sanitaruim," THe radio behind us called out.

"The hell is a code 3-15?" Five asked. "Mmm, fugitives on the run," Elliott answered, taking a spoonful of cereal. Five quickly goes to the radio,ย  adjusting it so he can hear it clearer.

"Twenty-five patients still at large. Many considered armed and dangerous,"

"Oh, Diego?" Five mumbled under his breath, assuming he also escaped. "Who's Diego?" Elliott asked with a mouthful of cereal. "Imagine Batman then aim lower," Five aimed high in the air and then dropped his hand down.

"You get started on that film, we'll be back as soon as we can," Five instructed Elliott, grabbing my arm and walking out of the apartment.

"Hey!"ย

"Then why are you doing this?" A woman asked Diego as Five and I teleported into a car. "Because he is an idiot," Five answered. "Who the hell are you two?" The brunette woman asked, her eyes flickering between us.

"Hi, I'm his loving brother," Five introduced himself. "His sister," I nodded, shifting away from Five. "Who left me to rot in the nuthouse," Diego muttered, displeased. "To protect you from yourself," Five retorted, glaring at Diego.

"That's quite sweet," The woman sympathized with us. "Okay, the three of you out," Diego ordered. "What the hell did I do?" I asked, glaring at his sudden snap.

"Lose the crazy lady and come with us. We have important business," Five requested, leaning forward so only Diego could hear him. The woman got offended at Five's request to ignore her.

"I am not going anywhere with you," Diego rejected. "Me too," I crossed my arms. "You didn't want to be here?" Diego looked at me as I rolled my eyes. "He dragged me with him," I explained, glaring at Five.

"Okay, fine," Five sighed in acceptance, looking out at the window. "Officer!" Five called out before Diego pulled Five harshly by his collar. "Hey!" Diego scolded. "What are you doing?" I asked, not wanting him to call out Diego.

"I hear there's a reward for you two," Five lied, hoping to get Diego on board with his plan. "He's bluffing," The woman assumed. I sighed in defense, knowing Five wouldn't lie. "He's not," Diego and I sighed, our tone laced with knowingness. "Fine, I'll go with you," Diego agreed, earning a smile from Five.

"What about me?" The woman asked, I looked at her, smiling at her. The woman smirked at Five and Diego. "And I'm bringing the crazy lady," Diego added. "Nice to meet you..." I extended my hand out, waiting for her name.

"Lila," She shook my hand.

"Where did you get the film?" Elliott yelled as we walked upstairs. "The Frankel Footage. The truth this time," Elliot asked, holding up his rifle, and aiming it at us. "Elliott put down the damn gun," I warned, walking towards him.

"You know this lunatic?" Diego asked, observing his features. "New acquaintance, he's harmless," Five shrugged, unfazed by Elliot's threats. "Are you sure about that?" "Drop the gun," I warned, trying to walk forward to him.

"Tate, don't give me that bullshit," Elliott pointed the gun at me. "Elliott," I warned before he tried grabbing my arm. "Are you or are you not the enemy of the people?" Elliot screamed again, his gun still aimed at me.

"Such an open-ended question, yeah,"

"Really depends on the people,"

"No,"

"You move another muscle and I'll blow her brains out," Elliot tried threatening us, his arm locking on my neck. "You want to take this or should I?" Diego asked Five. Five staring at me as I remained calm.

"No, I got him," Five answered, glaring at Elliott. "Hey, Lila..." Diego tried distracting Lila before Five teleported in front of Elliott.

I quickly elbowed him in the guts, causing him to let me go when Five aimed Elliott's gun up at the ceiling. Diego snatched Elliott's gun away from him, unloading all the bullets. The remaining bullet clanged onto the floor.

"What the hell just happened?" Lila asked, amazed by the sudden saving.
