𝐓𝐡𝐞 sky rumbled and the walls shook while Visenya sat underneath the thin sheets of her bed curled up into a ball, with her knees hugged to her chest, as she watched the dark grey clouds swirl with the wind.Every so often the grey flashed a bright blue when the lighting would strike causing Visenya to jump and tense her shoulders as if it was coming to attack her.

Visenya hated storms, especially thunderstorms, she had never been able to sleep through them always finding the rain to loud as it banged on the windows or the whistles of the wind to disturbing.Obviously she hated the bang and crack that would be followed by the flash of thunder most of all but she refused to seek comfort in anyone, afraid they'd find her fear and unsettlement childish and assume her weak, so instead she toke herself off to the library in hopes reading would cause her to fall tired once more.

Visenya stud on a old and wearing ladder that half the paint had chipped of with a lit candle in hand as she skimmed her fingers over the dusty shelves and golden lined books that were practically stuck together with how long they'd sat idle.She was alone in the dim library for what seemed like almost an hour, skimming over books and waiting for her eyes to grow heavy but failing, when the door creaked open and she gripped the ladder to avoid falling off in fright.

Jace stud in the light which entered through the door, yawning and rubbing his eyes, clearly half asleep and drowsy as he toke a minute to notice Visenya.

"What in gods name are you doing in here at this time?"Jace sighed in exhaustion, he had always seemed to be the one who found Visenya wondering around during thunderstorms, to the point where every time he was awoke by thunder his first thought was to check his sister was still in her chambers.

"Couldn't sleep?"Visenyas voice cracked, even if it was a very obvious fact to Jace that she was afraid of thunderstorm she wouldn't dare admit it to him.

Jace rolled his eyes and huffed as he walked over and toke Visenya's hand to help her down from the ladder.Her face dropped in disappointment when they finally became face to face and she realised Jace was practically the same height as her.

"How are you as tall as me?!"Visenya fumed furrowing her brows as her mouth hung open, she could've sworn it was a mere week or so ago that Jace and her other brothers could barely hold a sword without help and now it suddenly seemed that they were all in a race to outgrow her.

Jace shrugged chuckling as he scratched his neck.
"Mayhaps you are shrinking dear sister"He tiredly grinned.

Visenya playfully hit Jace's arm, playfully rolling her eyes as she made her way to the library's door."Say that again and I'll have you be beheaded the second I'm queen"She pointed in the air as she exited the library into the chilling hallway followed by an exhausted but still laughing Jace.

The hallway sent goosebumps crawling up Visenya's arms which was partly exposed by her night gown and it's short sleeves.Her eyes were fixed on the empty and lifeless courtyard, that looked as if it was a black and white painting from how still and grim everything stud.Visenya didn't even realise Jace was still following behind her until he stopped walking and his voice broke the eery silence that the wind had filled.

"Are you going back to your chambers or will I have to escort you just to make sure?"Jace titled his head and buried his hands in his pockets as he raised his eyebrows at his older sister.

Visenya scoffed a laugh at Jace's attempt to scold her, not only had her brothers began to outgrow her but they also seemed to have become more protective and scolding over her just like thier mother.

"I can assure you, dear brother, I am returning to my chambers"Visenya nodded, having turned around to face Jace who was stud a few feet away, mocking his earlier words.

"Good"Jace nodded smiling tiredly before turning down another hallway in the direction of his chambers.

Visenya smiled, although it was only small and Jace had already turned the corner so she wasn't quite sure he saw.She spun around herself to head back to her chambers but as she reached the top of her stairs and turned to walk in the direction of her door she was met with Aegon leaning against the wall his arms crossed as he too tiredly grinned at her, the only difference being is that Visenya could tell his grin held mischief and trouble behind it.

"It's the middle of the night Aegon, why are you stud outside my chambers?...Rather creepy don't you think?"Visenya lips turned into a thin line as she raised her eyebrows at the prince who chuckled as he pushed himself of the wall, and toke a step closer to Visenya so he menacingly towered over her.

"Middle of the night, yes, and yet your still full of that fiery attitude"Aegon lifted his hand from his side to slowly guide his thumb across Visenya's jawline, as though he was afraid and expecting to cut is how skin with hers."Your like a flame that never tires"He whispered his eyes fixed on her collarbone as he stroked his thumb over it.

Visenya quickly pulled her nightgown over her shoulder more securely to hide her collar bone, clearing her throat nervously before she spoke."Are you so bored that you insist on coming to bother me?"

Aegons chest vibrated as he chuckled deeply."Well I obviously couldn't sleep with such a distracting face in my mind"He stroked a piece of Visenya's soft silver hair behind her ear before gently caressing her cheek.

Visenya scoffed a laugh assuming he was joking and it was just another one of his tricks to flirt with and tease her but Aegon was in fact telling the truth.He had not been able to sleep the entire night as all he could think and dream about was her.Visenya had become so deeply rooted in his mind that all he could see when he close his eyes was her, all he could taste on his lips was the essence of taste hers had left, and all he could dream off was the things he had not yet had a chance to do with her.Aegon had planned to sink his teeth so far into Visenya that she could never forget him no matter whom she was with but it seemed to have worked the complete opposite way and now he couldn't seem to erase the girl from his mind.He wasn't exactly complaining, Aegon had a way of always getting what he wanted and he would find a way to have Visenya if it was the last thing he did.

Aegon slid his hand from her cheek to hold her chin pulling her face even closer to him, purposefully leaving a few inches between there lips to see if she would close the gap herself.Visenya knew what he was doing and what he wanted her to do.She grinned looking between Aegons eyes, that were locked on her mouth, and his lips as he licked them like an animal who was desperately hungry for his prey.

Visenya scoffed a laugh pulling Aegonds hand away from her chin"Ziry's se middle hen bantis, issa lentor ilagon isse se hembar tistākēlio, aōha playing nykeā dangerous tymptir, uncle"Visenya hesitated her last words but a proud smirk stayed standing on her face as the high Valyrian words rolled of her tongue, which she rested between her teeth after emphasising on the name to make sure Aegon heard her right.

Aegon pulled away an inch, his eyebrows raising in curiosity and surprise, taken aback by Visenya's choice of how to address him but not unhappy about them.He was also quite shocked at how flawlessly she spoke the ancient language.It toke a moment but Aegons blank surprised face and hung open mouth eventually twisted into a smirk and his hand returned to Visenyas chin to pull her closer, to the point there breaths meddled and there lips brushed against one another.

"Nyke raqagon se idea hen being caught, mazverdagon ziry tolī...exciting.Does ziry daor excite ao?...issa dōna niece"Aegon tilted his head smirking menacingly as an attempt to tease Visenya back but all he could think about was how in one swift movement he would be kissing her again, making her make those sweet, soft noises that was like music to his ears.

Visneya hummed nodding her head subtly as her eyes stayed trained on Aegons, she knew she wouldn't be able to help herself from closing the inch between them if they trickled down to his lips.

"What are you waiting for?"Visenya finally asked being rather bold and forward for a change.She knew Aegon was wanting her to make the first move but she would not give him that satisfaction, she knew the more she teased the more impatient he became and that eventually he would cave and melt into her hands, just like she wanted.

"You"Was all Aegon said, surprising himself as the word subconsciously slipped from his lips, but just as Visenya was about to give in and fuse there lips at last a voice interrupted them.

"What.the.actual.fuck-..."

"Jace will you calm down!"Visenya hissed as she sat a few feet from Jace after he had dragged her back into her chambers.

It was the middle of the night and the storm had calmed so if he dared to raise his voice one more time he would probably wake the rest of there family and would then tell them what he saw.Visenya had barely been able to get a word in as he scolded her so she sat in a chair continuously opening and shutting her mouth as she awkwardly picked at her nails, contemplating how to lie her way out.

"Calm down?!Calm down?!"Jace fumed as he paced around the room endlessly."I just witnessed you about to-...to-..."He grunted in frustration as he ran his hand through his hair.

"Jace it was nothing!Just Aegon being his usual self, irritating me because he had nothing better to do!"Visenya pleaded for her brother to believe her, even if she was lying, she had to make it seem believable because she knew the consequences if Jace were to tell their mother what he'd seen.

"And that irritating included you doing god knows whatever that was leading too!"Jace scoffed waving his hand in the air.

"Jace-..."Visenya attempted to speak calmly to her brother but was cut off.

"How long has this been going?"Jace's angry and shocked face quickly turned into disgust, shaking Visenya to her core as she was not used to her brother looking at her in such a way.

"What?"Visenya let out a deep breath she didn't know she had been holding in, furrowing her brows in confusion.

"You and him, surely that was not the first time you've been so close, i mean it was pretty obvious"Jace spat as if even referring to Aegon without using his name was a slur, that caused him to grow sick to his stomach to say.

"Jace-...Brother!"Visenya voice cracked as if she was about to burst into to tears.

She stud up and stepped forward, clasping her younger brothers hands in her own and gulping back the truth as yet another lie left her lips."Nothing is going on between us, that was nothing, i promise you..."Visenya lowered her voice to a whisper as she made sure to put emphasis on her last words, the last part of her lie.

She felt guilty for lying to Jace, her brother, but as much as she loved and trusted him she could not trust him, or anyone for that matter, with such a scandalous secret.It was to big of a risk and Visenya knew that if her mother and Alicent were to get wind of it she'd either been forced to marry Aegon or it would be a repeat of when Aemond lost his eye and every other family argument, god knows how they ended.

"You have to believe me"Visenya prayed to the seven gods that Jace's disgusted face, that weighed on her shoulders like a shameful burden, would soon turn back to love and awe he usually looked at her with as she subconsciously caressed his hands with her thumb, something she did to calm her brothers when they were upset or angry as small children.

Jace's horror eventually faded and a blank expression covered his features, his eyes fixed on the floor as he toke a step back and realised his hands from hers.Visenya's breath hitched in her throat as her hands slapped down back beside her and she impatiently awaited for him to speak.

"Jace-..."

"I-..."Jace sighed rubbing his forehead as he squeezed his eyes shut for a long silent moment and carefully thought over his next words."I do not want to see you so near to him ever again, understood?"

Visenya opened her mouth to protest but realised it was best not to and quickly clamped it shut, nodding in agreement."Understood"She muttered hanging her head in shame and embarrassment.

Jace also nodded, standing awkwardly in front of his sister for a minute longer before clearing his throat and heading to exit her chambers.Oddly enough, Jace paused as he reached for the door handle, opening and shutting his mouth a few times before turning around in a huff and deciding to speak.

"As much as I appreciate you finding someone to be happy with"Jace began vomiting the word happy out of his mouth as if he was disgusted just at the thought of it, or his sister experiencing it with someone like Aegon."He is not whoever he has made you think he is...and I do not wish to see my sister be lead down a wrong path and become like them...I would think you of all people would be smart enough to know that but I guess I have set my standards of you to high"Jace nodded like a servant did when exiting a room and quickly scurried out the door before Visenya could even process what he said, never mind reply.

Visenya stud completely froze in shock for a while, her mouth hung open and her eyes wide, so wide she almost had to tell her brain to blink.Her face read a mix of disturbance and upset as the realisation of her brothers words dawned on her.

Since when did her little brother become big?Since when did he learn to scold and speak to her or anyone in such a way?Since when had her sensitive,kind and brave boy become so blunt and crude?...and towards her of all people...

I'm sorry this is so short (and also pretty bad/lazy) but i swear Jace finding out is important to the plot and I haven't been able to write or edit all week since I've started school again🥲

Chapter 6 will be a lot longer and DEFINITELY will make up for this one and I'll try my best to have it ready for next week.
