*☆༄—i n t r o d u c t i o n

𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧, the next true heir to the iron throne, at least that's what her mother had told the girl her entire life.

Visenya, besides having an identical complexion to her mother, Rhaenyra Targaryen , also shared very similar quality's to her from when she was her age.So much so that people claimed her to be karma for everyone who had once wronged her mother.And she definitely lived up to that.

Saying Visenya was just like her mother was all people needed to hear to know what to except of the girl but it definitely came as a shock to most when they saw that Visenya, and her brothers, shared the gene of long dark hair and deep brown eyes rather than the very recognisable pale blonde hair like every other Targaryen in existence.Visenya hair did fade into a pale blonde as she got older but that didn't change some people's views on her, although that seemed to make Visenya even more oddly desirable and popular amongst the men of Westeros, like she was some rare jewel to be won.

Of course, rumours started that Visenya and her brothers weren't actually Velaryons and instead born bastards as a result of an affair, most assuming Visenya was just lucky enough to eventually inherit her mothers looks.She tried to protect her brothers ears from these horrid accusations for as long as she could afraid that it would upset them or they would not be able contain there anger as well as she did and cause a scandal that would only raise more suspicions.Not that Visenya cared for what others thought but she did not want to cause anything that would risk her mothers place, and her own, as heir to iron throne.Even if Visenya did not prioritise the throne and her future on it she would protect what was her and her mothers birth right, aware of the amount of men who would underestimate them as rulers and try take it from them.That was the only thing that truly made the throne seem desirable to her, proving everyone wrong.

Visenya only lived in kings landing until she was fourteen as the hatred and war in the council, between Blacks and Greens, grew stronger and more dangerous as they fought until Rhaenyra made the decision to move her family to dragon stone as an act of safety.Visenya wasn't happy nor sad about the decision as most of kings landing had never fully accepted her or her brothers and the cold,empty castle felt far from a home to her and more like a prison, a guard or some sort of lock every corner she turned.Dragonstone however allowed her a lot more freedom, she was able to properly train in all sorts of fighting, perfected her dragon back and trained and cared for many dragons, rather than just being forced to books and learning to become a future heir like she was in the red keep, despite how often she told her mother she did not wish to rule and that her younger brothers would be much better suited then her.

As much as Visenya hated being treated as an object to be sold and wrapped in bubble wrap like a porcelain doll, she learned to use her looks to her advantage.She would put on the softest voice she could produce and stare into peoples eye so deeply with her own purple,enchanting doe like ones, with such an innocent smile plastered on her face that it led people to believe that Visenya was just a naive princess when in reality it was all a part of her manipulative game.Some may see this as evil, Visenya saw it as her way to survive, a rather powerful way to survive.But Visenya knew as a young women she had to do, what she had to do to survive in a world built against her, to survive in a man's world. . .

we're just gonna ignore the fact that Rhaenyra was going to name her baby who died Visenya k?😭

I know he's technically her uncle ok before u all start, it's the Targaryen's it's normal, there's been far worse.
Like mother like daughter 🤷‍♀️

This fic is obviously going to be fanon/book Aegon without the SA storyline which was so unnecessarily added in the show(they rlly just wanted to make my poor girl Healena suffer even more)

(Also they are going to be fast burn in the sense of the benefits thing, apologies if the trope explanation seemed confusing I had no idea how else to describe it)

I feel like I say this in everyone one of my fanfic intros but oh well
