"Hmm, I was thinking four more hours of sleep." Anastasia mumbled as she moved to pull the covers on Jeremy's bed up and over her head, blocking out the world around her.

The Gilbert boy chuckles as he moves to get back into the bed with his girlfriend, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her body closer to his. "Sleep is overrated."

"Maybe for you, but I just so happen to love sleep." Anastasia tells him, "Ugh."

"What?" He looks down at her with a confused look on his face.

"I can totally hear the conversation between your sister and my uncle." She tells him, moving to straddle his waist, his hands falling in place on her hips.

"I don't even want to know." Jeremy shakes his head. Pausing, he ran his thumb against the exposed skin on her hip, "So, those pancakes?"

"Ugh, fine. We'll go get pancakes."

"WHY ARE YOU knocking on the door? I live here." The Salvatore girl shakes her head as she walks up behind her boyfriend, who was out of her car before she could even stop.

"Honey, you had a curfew." Damon spoke as he opened the front door, a sarcastic smile on his face.

"I haven't had a curfew since I turned." She tells him with the roll of her green eyes.

"I need to talk to you." Jeremy tells his girlfriend's dad.

"And why do I need to talk to you?" Damon asked as he tried to shut the door on his daughter and Jeremy.

Jeremy pushes the door back open, "Tyler Lockwood had to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet."

"Wow, fascinating. Not enough." Damon tries to close the door again, but this time it was his daughter that stopped him from closing it all the way.

"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend." Jeremy continued explaining to Damon, "That's why he's here."

"A moonstone?" Questioned Damon.

"And I know where it is."

"And you're bringing me this, why?" Damon asked the human boy.

"Do I need a reason? Look, I just want to help, okay?"

"What's your sister say about this little discovery?" Damon asked, "I'm surprised Anastasia isn't trying to stop you herself."

"Trust me, I've tried." Anastasia sighed.

Jeremy gives his girlfriend a look, ignoring Damon's question.

"Oh, you haven't told her, have you?"

"Well, Elena doesn't want me getting involved in all this." He tries to walk into the house behind his girlfriend but Damon pushes him out.

"And you're a Gilbert and you just can't help yourself. Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic."

"You going to let me in or not?"

Damon steps to the side, silently inviting Jeremy inside before he closes the door behind him.

"Hey." Jeremy grabs his girlfriend's elbow as Damon walks further into the Salvatore home. "You know, I've never seen your bedroom."

"And you never will!" Damon called out to him.

ๅฝกโ˜†

"RIC!" DAMON EXCLAIMED as the history teacher walked in, carrying a box of stuff in his hands.

Alaric looks up and catches a glimpse of Jeremy, "What are you doing here?"

"Helping Damon." He tells him, "I'm the one who found out about the moonstone."

Alaric looks over at Damon, who shrugged his shoulders before he looked back at his girlfriend's nephew, "Does Elena know you're here?"

"Not exactly."

"What you got?" Damon starts to look in the box that Alaric had brought with him.

"This is Isobel's research's from Duke. Her assistant sent it to me."

"Hmm, Vanessa. The hottie."

"Vanessa, yes. Now, do you remember that old Aztec she told us about?" Alaric asked.

"Sun and the moon, blah blah blah blah."

Jeremy walks over to them, "An Aztec curse? Cool."

"Yeah, supposed vampires and werewolves used to roam freely until a shaman put a curse on them to limit their power. Since then, werewolves can only turn on a full moon and vampires are weakened by the sun." Anastasia explained what she had gotten from the Original's long ago.

Damon wiggles his finger to display his daylight ring, "Most of them, anyway."

"According to the legend, the werewolf part of the curse is sealed with the moonstone." Alaric shows them a map.

Jeremy takes the map from his hands, one that shows the story of the Sun and the Moon curse using pictures, "What do you mean sealed?"

"It's a witch thing. Isn't that right, daughter?" Damon smirked in his daughter's direction, "Whatever seals the curse is usually the key to unsealing the curse."

"Maybe Mason Lockwood believes he can use the moonstone to break the curse." Alaric said.

"If we start believing in some supernatural witchy-woo legend from a picture book, we're idiots. Who has the stone now?" He turns to his daughter and Jeremy.

"Tyler." Anastasia answers her dad.

"Can either of you get it?"

"Yeah." Jeremy nods.

"See, now your life has purpose." Damon tells him.

"So, you do believe it?" Asked Jeremy.

"It's the same book that says a werewolf bite kills a vampire. Ignoring it would make me an even bigger idiot. Let's go." Damon finishes his drink as he walks past Alaric and Jeremy, pulling his daughter along with him.

MASON CARRIES A box into the backyard of his brother's house, shocked to see that Stefan was alive and helping set up for the Masquerade ball tomorrow night, "Hey, Stefan."

"Hey, Mason." Stefan greets him.

"Wasn't expecting you here. Or anywhere." Mason says as Stefan makes a face at him.

"Yeah, I had this little accident. But I'm fine now." Stefan tells him. "Also, I have a very vengeful niece, so I would watch out for her."

Mason walks closer to the vampire, "What did you do to Sheriff Forbes?" He asked.

"Oh, she's fine too, but from now on, you'll have to do your own dirty work."

"Not a problem." Mason walks away, accidentally running into Bonnie as he tries to get away from one of the vampires that he tried to have killed, "Excuse me."

Bonnie stared after Mason, a strange look on her face as she watched him walk away from them.

Stefan, noticing the look on her face, walks to her, "What's the matter? Are you okay?"

"When I touched him, I saw something." Bonnie tells him.

"What do you mean? Like a vision?"

"I saw Elena."

"You saw Elena?"

"He was kissing her." Bonnie tells him.

"No, Bonnie, Elena wouldn't kiss...," Stefan thinks for a moment, his confused expression disappearing from his face. "You didn't see Elena, you saw...Katherine."

ๅฝกโ˜†

"KATHERINE'S WITH MASON Lockwood?" Damon asked his brother.

"We missed it. He got into town right after she did." Anastasia shakes her head as she crosses her arms over her chest.

"It makes perfect sense." Stefan agrees with his niece.

"I know, but Mason Lockwood?! Werewolf thing aside, the guy is a surfer." Damon says before pointing at his daughter, "And don't you say anything about surfer's being hot."

Anastasia looks down with a smirk.

"She's got to be using him. She has to be."

"Using him for what?" Stefan and Anastasia asked in sync.

"Mason Lockwood's looking for a moonstone that allegedly can break the full moon werewolf curse." Damon says, "Maybe Katherine wants it as well."

"Why?"

"Well....no idea. That's the beauty of Katherine. She's always up to something."

"So, how are we gonna find the moonstone?" Stefan asked his brother and niece.

"Jeremy's getting it from Tyler." Anastasia tells him.

"Why would the two of you involve Jeremy?" Stefan asked, walking in between his brother and niece, slapping Damon on the arm as he walked ahead of them.

"He's playing Indiana Jones. He involved himself."

ๅฝกโ˜†

"HEY, MAN." JEREMY greeted Tyler.

"Hey."

"Hey, so I did a little research on that stone you showed me." Jeremy tells him.

Tyler turns to look at him, "What? Why?"

"I don't know." Jeremy shrugs. "Curiosity, boredom."

"What did it say?" Tyler asked.

"Well, it turns out that it's part of this Aztec legend but I want to make sure it's the same kind of stone. You think I could check it out again?"

"Nope." Tyler shakes his head, "Gave it to my uncle."

"Why did you do that?"

"Because I'm done with legends and curses. I don't want anything to do with it, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah sure. It's probably...just, uh, stupid folklore anyways. Forget it."

ๅฝกโ˜†

"COME WITH ME." Stefan pulls his niece away from where she was standing with Tyler, pulling her along with him towards the woods.

"What? Where are we going?" She asked him, falling in step with him.

"Bonnie just texted me. She thinks that Mason is hiding the moonstone in a well on the edge of the Lockwood property. Do you think you know where it is?"

"Yeah. I used to get in trouble because I would always try to look inside of it. It's this way, come on."

ๅฝกโ˜†

"WHAT'S GOING ON?" Elena walks up behind Stefan and Anastasia as they both look down into the well.

"You shouldn't be here." Stefan tells her.

"I know, but I am. What's going on?" She asked again.

"Bonnie thinks the moonstone is down here." Anastasia says as her uncle rips the padlock from the well and she pulls off the grating top, tossing it to the forest floor.

"Hold this." Stefan hands the flashlight to his niece, climbing onto the edge of the well.

"Hey. Be careful." Elena tells him as Anastasia hands him back the flashlight.

"I'll only be down there for a minute." Stefan tells her before jumping down into the well.

As he touches the water at the bottom of the well, he looks down at his arms and sees vapor rising from his skin where the water had touched him. Baking up, he presses himself against the stone wall.

"Elena! Eloise!" He shouts up in agony and pain from the vervain burning his skin.

"Stefan?!"

"Uncle Stefan, what's happening?!" She calls back down to him, voice full of panic for her uncle.

"What's going on in there?!" Elena screamed down to him.

"Vervain. Oh, God! Help!"

"Stefan!"

"Elena! El!" Caroline appears next to them.

"Caroline, Stefan's down there and the chain is rusted." Elena tells the blonde vampire.

Caroline starts to climb onto the well to go down and get Stefan, but Anastasia quickly stops her.

"No! The well's filled with vervain." Anastasia tells her. "Come on, help me with the chain."

Elena climbs onto the well and starts to wrap the chain around herself as Anastasia hooks it against one of the links for her.

"We got you, okay?" Caroline reassures her friend.

Elena nods, "Yeah."

"What's going on?" Bonnie ran up to the three girls, "You just took off in a blur."

"I heard Elena screaming. Help her, now."

Bonnie grabs Elena's hand and helps lower her down into the well.

"Are you ready?" Caroline asked her.

Yeah."

As the two vampires slowly used the chair to lower Elena, Caroline loses her grip on the thick metal for a split second.

"Sorry!"

"It's okay, keep going." Elena tells her, "Come on!"

Anastasia and Caroline continue to lower Elena down into the well where she finds Stefan unconscious.

Elena unhooks the chair from around herself and wraps it around Stefan. "Hey! Oh, oh my god!"

"Elena, what's going on down there?" Caroline called down.

"Pull him up!"

The two manage to pull Stefan up and get him on the ground as Bonnie unties Stefan.

"Elena? Ready for you!" Caroline calls down the well Gilbert girl stuck down in the well.

"Hold on! I need to find the stone!" Elena calls up to them as she starts to search the water for the moonstone.

"Hurry!"

"Hold on! I think I found it!" Elena grabbed the box floating in the water just as a snack wrapped around her arm.

Elena lets out a scream, throwing the snake off of her just as another one crawls back up and she backs herself up against the wall as she ties the chain around herself once more.

"Elena! What's going on?!"

"I got it. Come on! Bring me up!"

ๅฝกโ˜†

"JEREMY!" ANASTASIA RUSHES into the hospital after getting a call from him that they were taking Jenna to the hospital. "What the hell happened? Is she okay?"

"I don't - I don't know yet." Jeremy tells his girlfriend, clutching her hand tightly in his, thanking that she was a vampire because the grip on her hand would have surely broken her hand if she had been human. "Katherine did this."

"I'm gonna kill her." Anastasia goes to stand back up.

"No! Stay with me." He says, pulling her back into the chair, "Don't leave me."

"Okay. I won't." She nods as Elena walks into the waiting room and the two stand up.

"Is she okay?" Jeremy asked his older sister.

"The doctors told Alaric that she got lucky." Elena tells her brother with tears in her eyes, "She's gonna make it. She's gonna be okay."

"Does she remember what happened?" Anastasia asked.

"No, nothing." She shakes her head, "It's all a part of Katherine's mind compulsion."

"Why would Katherine hurt Jenna?" Jeremy asked.

"Because she's trying to send a message. That she could get to anybody." Elena starts to cry and goes to turn away.

"Hey, hey, hey, come here." Jeremy embraces his sister in a hug. "It's gonna be okay."

"No, it's not."

"She's gonna pay, Elena. I don't know how but she's gonna pay." Jeremy tells her he stroked the back of her head, sharing the same angered look with this girlfriend.
