Rory and Alec walked through the town square as many decorated for Founders day. After an emotional morning at the Fray house, over their mother miraculously returning from the dead excitement and joy couldn't describe what the Frays felt in that moment.

All though confusion was left on their father's end as well as Danielle Fray's. She wasn't entirely sure how she was back and able to be seen, but she new someone who would know and she was Shiela Bennett. That is once they find her.

"Hey." Alec nodded to Alaric and Jeremy who listened to Tobias Fell express his fond of history to the town. Though everyone was busy with this town tasks only few listened. Like the local history buff himself, Alaric Saltzman.

"What are we doing here?" Jeremy inquired Alaric who turned to the teenagers.

"Tobias Fell is the head of the History Department. I didn't have a choice." Alaric explained.

"That explains why you're here, but what about us?" Jeremy asked.

"Well, I'm the one who can fail you three if you don't help me out." Alaric remarked with a smile.

"That's evil." Alec said as Alaric shrugged.

"Hey, sorry I'm late. What did I miss?" Elena Gilbert approached the four.

"You didn't miss anything." Jeremy said to his sister.

Tobias continued to preach to the town.

Jeremy snickered.

The four looked to him in confusion.

"What's so funny?" Elena questioned the brunette.

Jeremy simply gestured to the stage.

Rory eyed the boy next to her in confusion. Her confusion furthered as he smiled glancing behind him. She rose a brow at him, weird. She thought.

"Good afternoon friends." Terra Claire chirped approaching the four her eyes fell on Jeremy then in between he and Rory, her eyes slightly widened. "Holy hell."

Jeremy's eyes widened as he looked at the strawberry blonde pleadingly. She looked to Elena, Alec and Rory who eyed her in confusion.

Terra cleared her throat, "Holy hell this Founders day is gonna be one to remember. Rory, Caroline asked for you to hold the -- the light -- just come on." She grabbed the brunettes hand and dragged her away over to where the two girls stood decorating a tree.

"I wish. All I did was block the magic that was helping Vicki get a foothold here." The two overheard the Bennett witch, as they stood next to the blonde Forbes. "Jeremy's still got a direct line to the other side -- hey." Bonnie explained and greeted her two other friends.

"Hey." Rory smiled.

Terra purse her lips, "Is he still talking to Anna?" She inquired as Bonnie tensed at the name, the two next to the Claire witch sent her glares. "I just -- asking."

"As long as he wants to see her . . . and she wants to see him, she's still here." Bonnie explained.

"Okay. You don't think I can actually resist commenting on that." Caroline inquired with a look of annoyance on her face.

"There. You commented." Bonnie shrugged.

"Bonnie . . ."

"What do you want me to say, Caroline? I went against nature when I brought Jeremy back to life. And now I'm paying the consequences."

"Just admit you're not okay with it." Terra said crossing her arms over her chest.

"I'm a thousand times not okay with it. I just don't know what to do about it." Bonnie expressed in defeat.

"Why are you so silent?" Caroline turned to Rory, "You're supposed to back us up."

Rory licked her lips, "Are you sure you did the spell correctly?" She asked as Bonnie and the girls gave her an odd look. "My mom's back."

Caroline's head whipped towards Rory so quick she was sure she'd caught wind of whiplash. "I'm sorry, back from the dead?!"

Rory winced at her words.

"What are you talking about?" Bonnie asked worriedly.

"Um, why didn't this come up in the morning texts I sent you?" Terra questioned.

"I--" Rory began as the sound of a car's engine pulling up behind the girls alerted them. Damon Salvatore sat in car looking at him pointedly.

"Was in the neighborhood thought I'd pop by. Greetings, witches, blondie, Artemis " He said in a sarcastic tone, "And I'm with Rory on this one, how are you so sure?"

"Are you stalking us?" Caroline accused.

Damon smiled sarcastically before turning his attention directly to Bonnie who looked unsure and worriedly.

"Think you got your voodoo wires crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan." Damon explained as the four approached the car. "Before you ask why, I'm pretty sure I just got spit--roasted by Mason Lockwood's ghost."

"What?"

"Why would you think that?"

"Maybe because he chained me to a chair and shoved a hot poker in my chest." Damon remarked to the blonde. "Let's just say I'm having deja vu."

"You said ghosts couldn't physically interact with people." Caroline looked to Bonnie.

"Well, that's hard to believe when I hugged my mom this morning before coming here." Rory remarked.

"Yeah well, I don't have time for vengeful Lockwood. When I kill someone, they're supposed to stay dead." Damon said in annoyance, "Whatever you screwed up, fix it." He said before driving off.

Rory chewed on her lip at his words, she looked down and toyed with her locket.

Bonnie looked across the street seeing Matt already looking over at the four. She began walking over to him as the three girls followed behind him.

Bonnie questioned Matt if he still had any contact with his sister to which he declined solemnly. Rory frowned, she felt bad for the blue eyed boy before her, she couldn't imagine what he was going through losing his sister. She couldn't fathom losing Alec, it would kill her, literally.

"Why do you think it's Vicki and not Mason? I'm sure Damon would know." Rory questioned the Bennett witch.

"Because if any ghosts other than Vicki Donovan has a physical foothold on our side . . . then that means something really went wrong." Bonnie explained, "Did your mom give you any answers as to how she came back?"

Rory shook her head, "No. She's looking for your grams right now." Bonnie parted her lips at the thought of her grandmother, she has to be back as well, she thought.

"I've had enough of this ghost stuff to last forever." Matt said, "So you guys can leave me out of this one." He said before leaving the girls.

"I feel so sad for him." Terra frowned.

Caroline nodded glancing over at the witch then to Bonnie, "Took a lot for him to send his sister away."

"Yeah." Bonnie sighed.

"So much strength is a man." Caroline leaned over to Bonnie referring to Jeremy who still hadn't let go of his ex.

"We've got a ghost problem to deal with." Bonnie said looking pointedly to Caroline and Madison.

"We?" Madison asked as Bonnie nodded to her. "I didn't even screw up the spell."

"The more brains behind this the better." Rory chimed in as Bonnie nodded, "I'm going home."

"You're not gonna help?" Terra asked.

Rory gripped her bag's strap and tilted her head, "We have to send them away, right? I want to spend as much time with my mom as I can." She said with a sad look, the girls nodded in understanding.

Bonnie reached down for her bag, just as her grimoire flipped open.

Rory looked at the book questionably as did the other girls.

"Okay, did your grimoire just--?"

"I think so." Bonnie mumbled starring down at the book before picking it up and reading the spell.

"Please tell me that's a recipe for witch cookies." Caroline asked as Rory now stood next to her peering down at the book.

"It's a manifestation spell." Bonnie said. "It's used to reveal veiled matter."

"What's 'veiled matter'?" Caroline questioned.

"Ghosts." Both Bonnie and Terra said in unison.

Rory made her way into the Grill and walked over to her father who spoke with Alaric, Danielle stood by as John informed them what Rory had texted him moments ago. Bonnie would be lifting the veil and all ghosts were able to roam freely until Bonnie was to shut it completely.

"Elena went to get Jeremy. We should get going." John said to the four as they began walking towards the exit just as Damon Salvatore approached them.

"I've had enough vampires today, thanks." Alaric said to Damon whose brows shot up seeing Danielle Fray.

"Well, hello gorgeous." He flirted as John and the huntress rolled their eyes.

"Seriously, Damon?" Rory asked as he shrugged innocently.

"Let's have a drink, we've got troubles. Or did little Fray tell you what's happening in our lovely supernatural town." Damon asked as the group looked at him, "Of course you know seeing as how mama Fray is here, anyways, we've got a ghost problem."

"That's a you problem." John said as he and his semi--dead wife walked away, Alaric following behind him.

"Why is everyone always mad at me?" Damon asked as Rory gave him a look and followed after her parents. "Come on, guys we were a team at one point." He said gesturing to the hunters.

"No! You tried to kill me." Alaric accused the vampire whose smirk fell, "We're not friends. I don't like you anymore."

"Ah! But remember when you guys liked me and we conspired to kill Uncle Werewolf, Mason Lockwood?"

"Yeah, and?" John asked.

"I think he's still a little pissed." Damon said as the three looked at him in confusion, whereas Rory pulled out her phone seeing a text from Caroline.

"It worked." She voiced up as the four looked to the teenager. "And I found Bonnie's grams." She met her mother's eyes.

"Mason." Alaric breathed out as the man walked over to the group, he reached over the bar and grabbed a bottle of Whiskey.

"God, I miss whiskey." He said nonchalantly throwing the drink back. He looked between the group who stared at him. He then smashed the bottle on Damon's head.

Damon groaned, "Ow!" He winced. The vampire looked over to his friends, "Told ya."

Rory frowned, so much for spending the day with her mother. Was it so much to ask for a stress free day? Of course it was, it was Mystic Falls.

Back at the witches house, Bonnie stared at her grandmother in awe as tears fell down her cheeks. She missed the woman deeply, as did the strawberry blonde who stood by Caroline wiping her under eyes. The woman before her had always been a mother figure to her since she could remember, something both Bonnie and Terra shared, was their love for the curly haired woman who took care of them.

Terra smiled as Shelia coaxed her granddaughter, "Stop your crying." She said looking between both witches, "We don't have time for tears." She turned her head to Caroline, "Nice to see you again, Caroline."

"Hi, Miss Sheila." Caroline greeted still gobsmacked at seeing the woman.

"Terra." Sheila smiled softly at the Claire witch who giggled and smiled at her. "You girls are still making a mess, I see." She said looking between both witches. "The witches told you there'd be consequences . . ." She said now looking to Bonnie who frowned, ". . . to bringing Jeremy back. You did it anyway."

"I didn't have a choice." Bonnie stifled, "I love him and I couldn't just let him go."

Sheila nodded, "I understand. But you cracked open the door to the other side. There's an old witch over here. She took advantage of it. She took advantage of you, honey. When you did that spell to send Vicki Donovan away. She wedged the door wide open... giving a free pass to anybody with unfinished business."

"How do you know this?" Bonnie asked.

"Witches talk." She said simply. "Even on the other side. Who do you think makes all the rules?"

"What does the witch want?" Bonnie asked.

"That's Original vampire business, not yours." Sheila denied. 'I don't want you getting in the middle of that. I'm here because you upset the balance of nature. And it's your duty to set it right. You need to close that door."
