โช we're not looking for bunnies, elena โซ
Rory sat with her father observing Alaric who went through his duffle bag. She twirled her stele in her hands as she looked up at her father who spoke with his good friend. She had told Elena about the phone call she had received the previous night, to which Elena explained she believed Stefan may have phoned her as well.
To which Rory told her father and Alaric.
The two men didn't want the teenagers to get their hopes up over something they didn't have solid evidence on; until Rory retorted saying Elena had asked Elizabeth Forbes to track down the phone calls and they were narrowed down to Tennessee.
Knocking on the door alerted the trio.
Alaric unlocked the door revealing a distressed, Elena Gilbert.
"I need you tell me what you know about Stefan, Theo and Tennessee." She demanded, entering the apartment. She raised a brow seeing Nathaniel Fray and her other best friend, Rory Fray. "Good, you're all here."
"Did you not tell her we were done with this?" Alaric looked to Rory pointing between her father and himself. "And you are done with it, too."
"I never said I was done with it." Rory argued to the man she considered like an uncle.
"No, I told you to stop looking into it because it's done." Nathan remarked to the teenager.
"I told you guys they called Elena and I yesterday." She retorted with wide eyes in disbelief.
"You think they called you two." Alaric remarked pouring himself a cup of coffee.
"We already know you two have been looking for them two since the beginning of summer. You just failed to mention it to us." Rory walked next to Elena eyeing the two men, her arms crossed against her chest.
"Ask Damon."
"Yeah, but Damon's not exactly in the mood to help right now." Elena frowned.
"And for good reason. Stefan murdered his girlfriend."
"Compelled girlfriend." Elena corrected the hunter. Nathan shook his head rolling his eyes at the teenager.
"Either way it's not safe for him, you, or any of us." Alaric announced looking between the teenagers. "Stefan's off the rails and so is Theo."
"Theo isn't a ripper." Rory argued clenching her jaw.
"He might as well be considered one, with the amount of blood Klaus is feeding them." Nathan argued with his daughter who frowned at her father's words.
"Yeah, but they're still holding on to their humanity." Elena remarked grabbing herself a mug and pouring herself some coffee. "Which ultimately means they can be saved." She concluded.
"And why do you both need to be the ones who saves them?" Alaric asked gently.
"Because we're not the kind people who checks out." Elena sent pointedly glares to the two men. "Look, they'd never give up on us. And we're not gonna give up on them."
"Just, tell us." Rory pleaded looking between the two men. "Please."
Nathan sighed looking at his daughter's pleading eyes and sighed. "They're tracking werewolves. All over the eastern seaboard."
"We thought we had 'em just outside of Memphis . . ."

"You ok? Is Ray getting heavy? Perhaps you should switch with Theodore." Klaus questioned the emerald eyed vampire, as they walked through the forest.
"I'm fine." Stefan grunted adjusting his grip on the wolf.
"You sure about that?" He asked again. "You know, we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water or a little sit-down..." He joked.
"He said he's fine." Theo's harsh voice hit the hybrid's ears, who smirked in amusement.
"You know, I get that we're, uh - we're stuck, all of us together, Klaus, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, it'd be great." Stefan nodded sarcastically, continuing to walk forwards with the werewolf on his shoulders.
"You both really are twins, the brooding is overwhelming me." Klaus teased, "The self-loathing is suffocating you, both of you, my friends."
"Maybe it's 'cause we've been hunting werewolves all summer and we're tired?" Theo asked with squinted eyes, followed by a sarcastic smile to the hybrid.
"And thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack." Klaus said as the three stumbled through the tree lining seeing numerous wolves.
The three walked forwards alerting the wolves ahead of them. Stefan dropped Ray's corpse to the floor carelessly.
"Oh my God, Ray!" A young woman ran forwards checking on the dead man. "What's going on?" She looked up at Stefan with a glare, "Who are you?"
"The important question is who am I." Klaus titled his head at the brunette wolf, "Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus."
"You're the hybrid." She noted.
"You've heard of me, fantastic." Klaus smiled widely.

Alec stood in the back of The Grill watching as Matt put on his apron. Alec had took up a part time job at the restaurant, to take his mind off of everything that was wrong in his life. He had asked Matt if he could get him a job as a busboy, or cashier, even a custodian in a way to get past his mother's death.
Matt being one of his best friends assured him he could get him the job. And he did.
Though Alec much preferred to be training with his father, when he wasn't teaching at Whittmore. Working at The Grill helped him and was a good distraction for the teenager.
Jeremy entered the back seeing Matt and Alec, he nodded to the two.
"Isn't it your day off?" Alec questioned the teenager, removing his apron.
Jeremy nodded, "Yeah, but I needed to talk to you guys." He walked over to the two, "Remember how I said I've been seeing things?"
"When was this?" Matt asked in confusion.
"Last night." Jeremy rolled his eyes at the blonde.
"Honestly, Jer, last night is kind of a blur." Matt admitted fixing his apron.
"Well, I saw her again. I saw Vicki."
Alec bit his lip glancing to Matt whose demeanour changed upon the mention of his late sister.
"Why are you telling us this? You're dating a witch. Why don't you tell her?" Matt asked the brunette.
"Tell Bonnie that she brought me back to life and now I'm seeing my dead girlfriend?"
"She'd want to know, Jer." Alec sighed as he adjusted his shirt, shoving his pen and notebook into his locker.
"Not right now. I found examples all over the internet." Alec scoffed at the teen's words, "We need . . . Personal items, and it works best when a family member tries to make contact." Jeremy explained taking out numerous sheets of papers showing the two boys.
"Yeah, you've lost it." Alec affirmed glancing at the papers in his hands. "Good luck." He said before walking to the exit.
"You're not gonna help us?" Jeremy called out to his best friend with a frown.
"No offence, Jer. But contacting spirits is more of Thursday kind of thing. It's Monday." He shrugged as he exited the room. "And I'm going hunting." He called out.
He smiled seeing Madison and Rory entering the restaurant.
"Can I get you two anything? Well, I can tell Matt who is starting his shift to get you two something."
"Whiskey would be great." Madison smiled innocently up at the hazel eyed boy.
Alec rolled his eyes playfully, "Anything that doesn't involve me losing my job."
Rory shook her head, "No, Alec. Actually, where's Elena? We're supposed to be meeting her here." Alec nodded across from them. "Thank you." She smiled to her brother walking over to the brunette and the wolf across from her; Tyler Lockwood.
The two girls walked over to the two who quietly conversed.
"Good, you're here." Elena breathed out looking between Rory and Terra, "Both of you." She rose a brow at the strawberry blonde who nodded for Tyler to move down which he complied. "Tyler was just telling me about yanno, where they'd go on full moons." She said quietly to the two girls.
Rory nodded in understanding.
"Like I was saying, some werewolves like to gather in places where they don't have to chain themselves up, where they can enjoy it." Tyler explained.
"Hmm, a werewolf orgy; scandalous." Terra joked, receiving amused eye rolls from the three.
"Where exactly?" Rory asked the wolf, ignoring the strawberry blonde's comment.
Tyler shrugged, "Mountains, state parks, deserts, that kind of stuff." He further explained.
"Anywhere in Tennessee?" Elena questioned.
Tyler nodded, "Yeah. Here. Give me your phone." Elena handed the wolf her cell phone where he pulled up the map for the three girls.
"Thanks for this." Elena said softly. "I know it's asking a lot."
"As Caroline likes to remind me, Stefan and Theo are in this mess because I bit Damon."
"Tyler . . ." Rory began with a frown.
"No, it is my fault." He nodded to the beautiful angel, as he scrolled through Elena's phone. He cleared his throat, "Have either of you talked to her today?"
Terra's ears perked up as a mischievous smile graced her plump lips, "Ooh, Caroline?"
Tyler's cheeks tinting pink, "Seriously, Terra. Have either of you?" He looked between the trio.
"No, why?" Rory furrowed her brows.
"Just curious." He answered quickly. "Here, that's your best bet." He handed Elena's phone back to her. "I'll see you guys later?"
"Yeah."
"Good luck." He nodded to the three before leaving the booth.
"I'm gonna go tell Ric and your dad what we got." Elena nodded to the brunette.
"Okay." She nodded allowing Elena to exit the booth. She sat back down with a sigh, Terra rose a brow at the brunette. "Don't give me that look." Clara mumbled.
"What look?" She feigned a look of confusion.
"You know what look." She rolled her eyes, "They're there, I know it."
"Is that angel talk for; the man who loves me and is being mentally tortured is in need of his warrior princess?" Terra smirked looking at the brunette.
Rory rolled her eyes, "Do you ever shut up? And he's not in love with me."
"You're both in love with each other. And don't give me that look; I'm your best friend, it's my job to notice these things."
"Terra-"
"Don't 'Terra' me, ok? Say he is out there, with the evil hybrid and his brother. What are you going to say to him when he gets back? Hmm? Have you thought about that?" The strawberry blonde asked, Rory gnawed on her lip. "I'm not trying to be a bitch, you know I like Theo, well, I'll take either brother over Damon." Rory's lips twitched upwards at her comment on the blue eyed man. "I just - I don't want you to get your hopes up and if you find nothing."
"We'll find them." She stated confidently. Terra huffed, "I know you're not trying to be negative, I just - Hope is all I have since my mom." She said softly. "I don't want what happened to my mom to happen to Theo." She swallowed a lump in her throat, "I can't."
Terra nodded in understanding, "You quit the whole huntress thing, and now Elena is doing it." She shook her head, "What am I going to do with you guys?" She smiled. Rory pressed her lips into a thin line. "Looks, like we're a go." Terra announced seeing Elena, Alaric and Nathan standing up alongside Alec.
The two girls made their way over to the four.
"No, you're not going." Nathan shook his head at his daughter.
"Dad--"
"No, 'dad'. I don't want you there, especially on a full moon." He denied.
"That's not fair! Alec is going." She narrowed her eyes at the man then to her smirking brother, "I need to go." She said meeting her father's eyes once more.
Nathan sighed and nodded to Elena, Alaric, Terra and Alec he'd meet them outside.
"I know you want to, but I'm not risking you going." He said softly.
"I can take care of myself."
Nathan's eyes softened, "I know you can, sweetheart."
"Than let me go with you." She pleaded, "Please." Her doe eyes met with her father's emerald ones. "I can't lose him too. I won't."
Nathan bit his lip and sighed looking at his determined daughter.

"It's fascinating, actually -- a werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun." Klaus bragged to the wolves. "A true hybrid." A gasp was heard alerting the group. "Ah, Ray you're up. Very dramatic."
"What's happening to me?" He panted looking up at the three.
"Theodore, would you like to do the honours?" Klaus turned to the vampire who leant against the tree in boredom.
"Is anyone here human?" He called out pushing himself off the tree. "Ray, here needs human blood to complete his transition. If not-" He glanced around and shrugged, "He dies." Theo deadpanned.
"Doesn't take much. Just a sample. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend along for the ride?" Klaus stood up looking around the group of wolves. He turned to the blonde man with blue eyes and smirked, "You."
Klaus sped over and bit into the man's arm tossing him down next to Stefan.
"No!" A brunette shouted just as Klaus grabbed her by her neck halting her movements.
"If you don't drink it, Ray, I will. Problem is I don't know how to stop." Stefan taunted holding out his am to the transitioning hybrid.
Theo stood over his brother looking down at the three. A muscle in his jaw ticked as he looked at his brother.
"It's the new order, sweetheart." Klaus said to the woman.
"You either join us or you're against us."
"I rather die then be a vampire." She snarled looking between Klaus and Theo.
"Wrong choice." Klaus said before freed his blood to the brunette. "She'll thank me for that later." He snapped her neck dropping her down to the floor, "Ok, who's next?"

Rory, Elena, Alaric, Nathan and Alec had arrived to the mountains which currently resided werewolves, a hybrid and twin vampires. The five had roughly been hiking for an hour and a half looking for any sign of the twin Salvatores.
The five came to a halt as Alaric, Nathan, and Alec placed their bags down pulling out their weaponry.
"Wow, you guys came stocked." Elena noted eyeing the numerous weapons that varied from stakes, vervain/wolfsbane grenades, bullets, seraph blades, and more.
"We're not looking for bunnies, Elena." Alec sarcastically said as he began to rune his arrows next to his sister who eyed the quiver. He glanced to her nodding for her to take it only for her to shake her head. Alec sighed and continued to do his job.
"Here. Put that in your bags." Alaric instructed Elena and Rory to take the wolfsbane grenades.
The two spoke amongst each other about her family ring as the Fray siblings and their father rummaged though their things.
"Here." Nathan handed his daughter a blade who hesitantly took the weapon. "You stay by my side and Alec's." He instructed.
"Dad--"
A whooshing sound echoed from behind the three who stood up imminently; Nathan with his pistol raised, Alec with his bow and arrow, and Clara with her sword.
The three rolled their eyes seeing the intruder; Damon Salvatore.
Rory looked to Elena who was now soaking wet in the lake. "Damon! How are you even here?" She exclaimed, shivering from the cold water.
"Thanks for the tip, brothers." Damon nodded to the two men behind him.
"You sold me out." Elena accused the two.
"You think we'd take you three to a mountain range of werewolves on a full moon without backup?" Alaric asked.
"We have backup." Elena remarked.
"What's one extra to the list?" Damon smirked to the group as Elena and Rory rolled their eyes at the vampire.
