𝑯𝑬𝑹 𝑬𝒀𝑬𝑺 𝑾𝑬𝑹𝑬 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑰 𝑺𝑨𝑾 𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑵 when darkness took over me. I closed my eyes and all I could see was her eyes and her telling me to hold on and stay with her. I smiled softly and scratched the back of my neck. What is wrong with me? I've never felt like this before.

"You scared the hell out of us." I looked up at Cecilia and smiled. "I'm good mum. Chill." I said. "Good? You had a bullet right here." She said pointing close to her chest. "If something happened to you then what would we do?" She said softly.

"I'm fine mum okay? It's all over now. You can go home and rest." I said and she sighed. "That stubbornness of yours I just can't." She said holding her hands up.

It took me a while to convince mum to just go home and rest. Zain assured her he would stay here at all times and won't leave me alone. God help me. 

She wasn't that convinced but she decided to go rest and come back again later with more clean clothes for me.

"So the doctor.." Zain smirked causing me to roll my eyes. "Don't fucking start Zain." I growled. "I didn't even say anything." He laughed. "I know you and I know exactly what you want to say." I said pointing at him.

"Whatever. I was going to say the look you gave her was—"

"—shut up." I said throwing him a pillow causing him to laugh. Finally the door opened and Alexander with Leonardo walked in. "Well hello there little Nico." Leo grinned. "Do not call me that." I groaned throwing my head back causing them to laugh.

I've always hated that nickname. It sounds so fucking horrible. I'm not fucking little.

"Why are you here anyways? To get on my nerves?" I asked. "No. Mum sent us here." Alexander sighed and I chuckled. "Of course she did." I muttered shaking my head. For the millionth time the door opened and a nurse walked in with the food causing me to make a weird face.

"Enjoy your meal Mr De Luca." She said and smiled before walking off. "What do you enjoy at this soup? I ain't eating that." I said and Zain grabbed it. "I will." He said and started eating it causing me to shake my head. "So who's gonna go buy us all some burgers?" I asked clapping my hands.

"Burgers? Dude you shouldn't eat that right now. You need the soup that Zain has already finished.." Leo said shaking his head in disappointment. "Too late." I said and smirked. "Now will someone go buy me burgers or should I get up and go get them myself?" I asked. "Ugh fine I'm going. But if the doctor catches us then I ain't taking the blame." Zain said and walked off.

"Suuuuuure." I chuckled and looked at Leo and Alexander. "So how's work going?" I asked. "Everything is under control chill." Leo said. "It better be." I joked. "Look at this little bitch trying to give orders around." Leo said hitting the back of my head playfully. I snorted. 

''Zain said you made the nurses change your sheets twice already.'' Alex chuckled. ''I hate hospitals. I just need my bed and my clean sheets.'' I frowned. Okay maybe I was little OCD. Just a tiny bit of it. I just need my space clean. 

"Foods here." Zain said smiling like an idiot. That's suspicious. Hope he didn't get a blowjob on his way there. 

"There you go brothers." He said handing us the burgers. "You didn't bring anything to drink?" I frowned causing him to roll his eyes. "Dude you shouldn't even been eating a burger now shut up and eat." He said pointing at me.

"As fast as I get up from this bed you're dead." I said pointing at him and he hummed. After we were done eating Leo and Alexander had to go so Zain once again was the only one here with me. Even though he annoyed me the most we got along the most. 

"Why are you smiling like an idiot?" I finally asked. I know Zain very well. He trusts me more than anyone. He doesn't like talking much about his flings. I mean he only talked to me about every weirdo he has met.

"Nothing." He chuckled. "Hmm I don't think you're that sure of that." I smirked causing him to chuckle again. "Shut up man." He mumbled and just then the door opened and doctor Isabella as it read on her card walked in.

How can a woman look that good after hours of working? Like she's stunning.

Her long dark hair were falling perfectly down her shoulders. Her uniform looked extremely good on her. Too good.

She wasn't even wearing makeup from what I noticed. Yet she looked so beautiful. Just like her name, Bella. She was probably Italian. 

"Hello Nicolas. How are you feeling today?" She asked smiling softly before grabbing my file and looking down at it. "I feel way better. Thank you doc." I said and a small smile played on her lips as she looked through the papers.

"I'm glad to hear that." She said. Zain smirked and I gave him a don't say anything stupid look.

"Zain all good?" Bella asked and Zain smiled softly. "All great doc thank you." He said. "Okay I see you're recovering quickly. That's good." Bella said. It's because I'm used to getting shoot. Or injured with whatever. My body welcomes every one of it doc.

"When can he go home?" Zain asked and I gave him a death glare. He just looked at me and gave him his what look.

"We'll keep him two more days then he can go." Bella said while writing something down on a paper.

"I see everything is going fine and I'm glad." She said finally looking up at me with her mesmerizing eyes. Fuck she's beautiful.

I've never been so mesmerised by someone. Did I just say she's beautiful? 

"I'll check in on you later again." She said and was about to go but I winced causing her to walk my way and place her hand on my stomach. "Are you okay?" She asked her hair falling on her face so perfectly.

"I'm good it just hurts at times." I said causing her to nod and pull away. I already miss her touch man. What the hell is wrong with me?

Zain was shaking his head knowing I did that just to get Bella's attention. What? I couldn't help it. I didn't want her to leave. At least not yet. 

"It's normal of course. Don't tire yourself okay?" She said and I nodded. "Okay." I said looking in her eyes.

She gave me one more smile before walking out of the room this time. "What was that?" Zain asked pointing at the door. I just shrugged and looked away. "You're a dirty fucker. You—"

"Hey kids." Thank God mum walked in and Zain shook his head. "Hey mum." I smiled. "Hey honey how are you feeling?" She asked kissing my forehead before taking a seat on a chair. "How are you?" Dad asked patting my shoulder softly.

"He's good. Wayyy good." Zain said causing me to give him another death glare. "Is that so?" Dad asked and I nodded. "Yeah I'm good. I'm so good that I can get up and beat Zain." I faked a smile and Zain chuckled.

"Hmm sure." He muttered.

The next day I was walking with the help of Sam at the hallways. "What's up with you?" I asked looking at him. "What do you mean?" He asked frowning.

"It looks like something is bothering you. Spill." I said and stopped walking. I rested my back against the wall and even though I was in a little pain I tried not to show it.

"Melanie wants kids... I'm scared I'm the issue. What if I can't have kids? She will just leave me man. She loves kids and what if I can't give her the one thing she wants the most?" He said stressfully.

"Hey first of all Melanie loves you dude. She's crazy over you. She would never leave you. And how do you know you can't have kids? Maybe it just wasn't the right time for you." I said and he sighed. "It's been years Nico. I don't know what to think." He sighed once again rubbing his face.

"If you think there might be a problem then go get it checked. We're at a hospital just go." I said and shrugged. "Maybe I'm scared that it's going to be the truth." He said softly. "Don't think like that." I said placing my hand on his shoulder.

"Go." I said and he looked at me for a second. "You say?" He asked softly like a lost child. "Just so you can calm down. So you can finally get some sleep dude. I see you. Most times you just spend the nights at the garden. You should talk to Melanie about your fears too man. You have to go through it together." I said and he nodded. "You're right." He said softly smiling.

"I'm always right." I said making him roll his eyes playfully and chuckle. "Of course." He muttered. "Go I'll walk a little. I'm good." I said and he sighed. "You sure? I can get you to your room first." He said. "No bro go. And call your wife." I said and he nodded before walking off.

I took a few steps then saw Bella that was walking my way. She smiled softly when she reached me. "I see you're standing with no help." She said. "Yeah. About time." I chuckled but immediately regretted it since I winced at the pain I felt. This time I really did feel the pain. 

"You okay? You need help with going back to your room?" She asked and I looked in her eyes again. I mean I need help don't I?

"Yes please. If it's not a bother." I said and she chuckled. "It's not a bother Nico. This is my job." She said and pulled her hand out. So she helped other injured men as well?

She wrapped an arm around my waist and I held her free hand as she helped me walk.

There was a weird feeling in my stomach. My heart also started beating faster.

I was not used to those kind of feelings. "So do you ever go home?" I chuckled since I've noticed she was mostly here at the hospital. When did she go home to rest? And why do I even care?

"I love my work too much. Some call me workaholic but I don't like admitting that." She said softly causing me to chuckle.

Just like me. I was a workaholic too. I would work a lot that's why I was meant to be the next Sin City's leader.

We walked in my hospital room and Bella helped me seat on my bed. "You're bleeding." She said and I looked down to see my white T-shirt covered in blood. "Oh fuck." I groaned and Bella sighed grabbing a few stuff.

She changed my bandage and had stopped the bleeding. The whole time I was looking at her. Admiring her beauty. In a non creepy way..

"You should rest now." She said and I nodded. "I will I promise." I said softly. "I have to go back to some patients I'll check on you later." She said with a last smile she left the room.

Today I was going back home. I wasn't that happy about it. Yes I hated hospitals but being here was an excuse to see Bella. I liked that.

"Are you sure I'm fully recovered? Maybe I should stay two more days." I said and Bella chuckled. "There's no need to. You're fine. Plus you'll take those painkillers if you're in too much pain. I'm sure your family will take good care of you." She said and my mum agreed.

"I will personally take care of him thank you." She said and I sighed. "I guess I'm leaving then." I said and Zain chuckled. A nurse walked in the room with a wheelchair and I frowned. "Oh hell nah. I ain't getting on that thing." I said and stood up.

"I'm perfectly fine." I said. "Thank you." I said and Bella nodded at the nurse making her walk off with the wheelchair. "Thank you for everything doc." I said sticking my hand out for her to shake. "You're welcome." She smiled shaking my hand. I rubbed her palm softly and finally pulled away.

I walked out of the hospital with my mum, dad and Zain and got in the car. "Freaking finally. I can't stand hospitals." Zain said and I frowned. "I was at the hospital." I said. "I stayed with you the whole time." He fought back and I shrugged. "Whatever." I muttered.

When we arrived home I walked in and the whole family hugged me and was happy to see me back. Man I love them. Sometimes. But they were being a bit dramatic right now. 

"A bird told us that you didn't wanna leave the hospital." Arya smirked when we sat at the garden all of us expect my parents and the kids.

"Zain I swear I will beat your ass." I gritted my teeth pointing at him. "Why me? I'm not a bird." He said holding his hands up in defense. "Yeah.. Vince told me." Arya chuckled. "Whatever." I mumbled. "I mean I don't blame you the doctor there was hooot." She added and I groaned.

"Leave." I said covering my face causing them all to laugh. "Awe someone has a little crush." Alexander said hitting me playfully.

"No I do not." I said rolling my eyes. Well I lied. Obviously. I might have a little crush on the hot surgeon that took care of me. 

"I mean you know me. I don't settle for any girl. I never will." I said trying to somehow make them hop off my dick. It's none of their business if I like the surgeon or not.

"Leave my boy alone." Leo said and patted my back. "He's still young. He doesn't have to settle down yet." He said and I smiled softly. "Thanks bro." I said.

Later on I got up in my bedroom and just laid in bed looking up at the ceiling. I couldn't stop but think about Bella's eyes. Blue. Blue ocean eyes. 

Those eyes led me out of the darkness. All I could see was darkness but then in my dream she stuck her hand out and led me out. She brought me back to life.

No woman has ever made me feel this way. That's why I wasn't sure of what to do.

Yet.
