𝑹𝑼𝑩𝑩𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑴𝒀 𝑬𝒀𝑬𝑺 𝑰 𝑭𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑳𝑳𝒀 𝑶𝑷𝑬𝑵𝑬𝑫 𝑻𝑯𝑬𝑴 and looked at the clock. Two pm. Damn I overslept. I couldn't see Nico anywhere but I saw a little note on the coffee table and I smiled. I grabbed it and read.

I had to rush at work, didn't want to wake you up you needed rest. I ordered breakfast just text me and I'll have it sent right away. I'll see you later. Have a great day :)

I smiled and texted him good morning even though it wasn't that early. But I really needed that sleep. And I had the best sleep ever. Maybe it was Nico's effect. I placed my phone on the coffee table and got off the couch.

I walked upstairs in my bathroom and after I did my morning routine I heard the doorbell. I walked downstairs and opened the door. ''Hello your order.'' A guy said and I took the bags after I thanked him. Nico had paid making me frown.

I walked in the living room and turned the TV. I checked my phone and smiled when I saw a text from Nico.

Good morning beautiful. Have a great day and enjoy your breakfast.

I smiled widely and placed the phone back on the coffee table then started eating. When I was done I started doing the house chores. I liked my house clean. Just when I was cleaning the huge glass windows I heard the doorbell.

I smiled at the thought of seeing Nico. Damn it I'm acting like a freaking teenager.

I rushed towards the door and opened it. Nico was holding a single rose and I smiled. ''Well hi.'' I grinned. ''Hello.'' He said bending down to kiss me softly. I smiled through the kiss then pulled away.

''Come on in.'' I said and he walked in. I closed the door and placed the rose in a glass. I then walked at Nico that was sitting on the couch. He had changed to grey pants and a black sweater. He had a necklace and rings causing me to bite my bottom lip. ''I see you changed.'' I smiled.

''I thought we could go out somewhere so I changed.'' He said. ''You look great.'' I complimented causing him to smile. ''So do you habibti.'' He grinned. I blushed at the nickname and looked away. Just when I was about to say something my phone interrupted me.

I frowned and grabbed it seeing that it was Cindy the one calling so I answered immediately.

''Cindy what happened is everything okay?'' I asked worried standing up. I could feel Nico's eyes on me the whole time.

''B-Bella something is wrong with Elsa a bunch of doctors are in her room right now please come I'm scared.'' She cried making my heart drop. ''C-Cindy calm down okay? I'll be there in a few okay? I'll be there.'' I said and ended the call. ''Habibti what happened?'' Nico asked standing up. ''Something is wrong with Elsa. I have to go.'' I said a tear dropping down my face.

''Wait.'' He said grabbing my elbow softly pulling me in his arms. ''I'll come with you. Everything will be okay. I promise.'' He said cupping my face and I nodded. ''Let's go.'' He said. I put on my shoes and walked out of the apartment not bothering to grab a jacket with me.

Ten minutes later we arrived at the hospital and I run towards Cindy. ''Bella.'' She cried and hugged me. I hugged her back and after a while I pulled away. ''Cindy what happened? Elsa was just fine. What's wrong?'' I asked worried trying to hold my tears.

''I don't know she was fine I don't know what happened.'' She cried and I looked over at Nico. ''It's okay it's okay she'll be fine. I promised to save her.'' I said and wiped a few tears. I walked towards Elsa's hospital room and knocked on the door. ''Can you let me in please? I need to save her. I need to save her I promised.'' I cried knocking on the door.

The door opened and Eliza one of the doctors walked out. ''How is she? Huh? How is Elsa? She's fine right can we see her now?'' I asked. ''Bella... I'm sorry for your loss.'' She said softly looking down.

''No.'' I shook my head and heard Cindy cry. I turned to look at her and saw her husband rush her way hugging her.

''I have to see her. Let me in.'' I said but Eliza stopped me. ''Bella please don't do this. It's gonna make you worse.'' She said. ''LIZ LET ME IN.'' I snapped and Nico walked my way pulling me in a hug. ''Please Nico.'' I cried. ''It's okay. It's okay.'' He whispered kissing my head.

''I have to see her please.'' I cried. ''Okay okay.'' Nico said and looked at Eliza she moved out of the way and allowed us in. I walked in the room and saw Elsa. Her eyes closed. I sat on the floor and grabbed her hand. ''Elsa I'm here. I'm here. I'm sorry I didn't get here earlier but please don't go.'' I cried and kissed her hand. ''Please stay. Please open your eyes.'' I cried and shook her.

''Wake up please. Please.'' Nico came my way and pulled me away from her. He helped me out of the hospital room and took me out of the hospital. I sat on a bench and looked away. Not believing that Elsa was gone.

''Bella-''

''-she's gone. She's really gone. She didn't get to go to her prom. She didn't get to graduate. She didn't get to go to college.'' I said more tears falling down my face. ''I know it's hard losing someone. Believing it's your fault. But it wasn't your fault. Trust me.'' He said squeezing my hand. I looked at him and his free hand went on my cheeks wiping my tears.

''I know it's really fucking hard habibti. But we both know that Elsa was suffering. She was in pain every single day. Now she's in heaven. She's an angel and is going to always look after you. Never forget that.'' He said and pulled me in a hug.

''But I'll miss her.'' I cried. ''I know. I know.'' He whispered.

''I know you will.'' He whispered as I cried in his arms. I have no idea for how long we stayed there. I just wish Elsa was here.

I could feel rain drops on my skin and that's when Nico stood up and helped me up too. ''Let's go. We'll come back tomorrow.'' He said and I nodded.

He opened the car door for me and I got in closing the door resting my head on the window looking at the sky that was crying along with us.

We arrived at my apartment after a while and Nico helped me again. We walked in and I walked upstairs in my bedroom. I took off my shoes and laid in the middle of the bed crying. Nico got in the bed too and pulled me once again in his arms. ''It hurts Nico. My heart is bleeding.'' I cried. I felt a tear of his fall on my forehead as he kissed my head.

''I'm here. I'll always be here I promise.'' He whispered.

I cried myself to sleep last night. I was exhausted from all the crying. I opened my eyes and Nico was still in bed with me. He opened his eyes and rubbed my cheek softly with his thumb. ''I'm not going to ask how you are because I know it would be a stupid question.'' He said softly. ''I will ask how are you feeling? Hmm?'' He asked.

''I feel like I have no more tears left. I feel like there's a hole in my heart. I feel like this was just a nightmare and I will go at the hospital and go visit Elsa. She would tell me her jokes and I will tease her about the boy she likes.'' I said a sob leaving my mouth.

''Elsa wouldn't want to see you like this.'' Nico whispered moving my hair out of my face. ''She wouldn't want right?'' I asked and he nodded. ''She wouldn't want you hurting like this.'' He added. ''But it hurts.'' I breathed. I sat up and Nico did the same. ''You must have work I'm sorry I kept you uhm-''

''Bella I don't give a fuck about work when you're here like this. I'm not leaving you.'' He said. I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him tightly. ''Thank you.'' I whispered. ''Don't thank me.'' He said rubbing my back softly.

That day it hurt me. Getting ready for the funeral. Elsa's funeral.

Nico refused to let me go alone so he came with me. Almost every doctor and nurse that knew Elsa was there. Her parents and siblings were devastated but Cindy didn't cry. She kept her promise. The promise she gave to Elsa.

''Okay but when I die-''

''-Elsa..'' I frowned and Cindy did the same. ''Ugh can you just let me finish first?'' Kayla groaned. ''You're not dying. You're not going anywhere. You hear me? You're too young.'' I said and she smiled softly.

''Okay but one day when I'll be gone you two don't cry okay? I get upset when you two cry. Mum promise you won't cry. Because I'll be in Heaven. And I will no longer suffer.'' She said softly smiling. ''Do you promise?'' She said and Cindy nodded a tear falling down her face. ''I promise baby.'' She said pulling her daughter in a hug.

''You too Miss Bella.'' Elsa said and I chuckled softly. ''I promise.'' I promised and she smiled. ''I promise to save you.'' I added and hugged her.

Today it was snowing. It was pretty cold. Just like that my heart had turned cold too.

When everyone left I sat down and looked at Elsa's grave. ''I couldn't keep my promise. I'm sorry Elsa.'' I sniffled and wiped my tears. Nico kneeled down and I looked at him. ''I promise I'll take good care of Bella. I'll keep my promise little one.'' He said and looked down.

He stood up and stuck his hand out for me to take. I looked at his hand then took it and stood up. Our fingers intertwined and we walked out of there holding hands.

''Bella maybe you should stay one more day home and rest.'' Irina  said as I was getting ready for work. ''No I'm better at work. It will take my mind of off things.'' I said and she sighed and nodded softly.

''Okay if you say so.'' She said softly. My eyes went at the bracelet Elsa had gave me. I had never took it off since she gave it to me. I'll never take it off. I blinked a few times trying to block the tears that I could feel coming.

We walked downstairs and made our way towards the elevator. It's been couple days since I've been at work. Thomas thought I should have take a break for a while after what happened with Elsa. But as much as I stayed home I could think of her and it made me worse. I'm better keeping myself busy.

The elevator doors opened and we walked out. I saw Nico waiting for me and Irina gave me a soft pat on the shoulder before greeting Nico and leaving us alone. ''Hey.'' I said softly. ''Hey.'' He said walking towards me pulling me in a hug. I closed my eyes and hugged him back.

I'm glad Nico was staying by my side through this. I don't know if I could go through it alone.

''Are you sure you wanna go at work?'' He asked once we pulled away. ''It's better like this Nico. I can't stay home all day.'' I said and he nodded. ''Do you wanna have breakfast first? Hmm? I missed you.'' He said rubbing my cheek with his thumb. I smiled softly and nodded.

''Okay.'' I whispered and he smiled softly.

He took my hand and we walked outside. He opened the car door for me and then got in as well and drove off. The car ride towards the restaurant was silent. No one of us talked. It was a peaceful silence.

Nico pulled over and we got out. We were at a restaurant by the beach and walked inside since it was still pretty cold. We took our seats and after we ordered Nico looked at me. ''What?'' I asked softly. ''I'm just realising how lucky I am to have you in my life. You prove that to me everyday.'' He said and I smiled softly.

Our order came and we started eating. I haven't eaten much these couple days. So this was a good idea of Nico. ''Okay those pancakes are not as good as yours but we gotta admit they're okay huh?'' He said causing me to chuckle softly and shake my head. ''They're okay I agree.'' I said and he smiled. I looked out at the beach from the huge glass window.

It started snowing again and I smiled softly. Nico suddenly stood up and I looked at him. ''I have to do something.'' He said and I frowned following him. He walked towards the beach and after he took his shoes off he took a dive.

I was confused at first but then I remembered his promise.

''Ugh I wish it wasn't this cold so we could go for a swim.'' Elsa pouted when she came our way. ''That's okay Elsa. We'll bring you on summer. We'll go for a swim then.'' Nico smiled.

''Promise?'' She asked pointing at Nico. ''I promise. If I don't keep my promise I will go for a swim when it starts snowing. Next winter.'' Nico said and I laughed softly. ''I'm being serious. But I'm a man that keeps his promises.'' He said and Elsa smiled.

''We'll see.'' She said.

I let a tear fall down my face when Nico got out of the beach and walked my way. I didn't care that he was soaking wet I just pulled him in a hug. ''I didn't get to bring her for a swim.'' He whispered. ''I know.'' I whispered and pulled away cupping his face.

''Let's go you need to change or else you'll get sick.'' I said. ''I'm already sick. My only cure is you.'' He said causing me to smile.

''Let's go.'' I said and took his hand.
