"𝑰𝑻'𝑺 𝑩𝑬𝑬𝑵 𝑨 𝑾𝑯𝑰𝑳𝑬 𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑪𝑬 𝑾𝑬 𝑯𝑨𝑫 a girls night." Irina pouted causing me to chuckle at her cuteness. "True but you always have the night shift." I explained making her sigh. "Okay so next week on our day off we're definitely having a girls night." She said pointing at me.

"I promise." I chuckled and she grinned. "Good." She said while I got ready to leave. "I'll see you tomorrow beauty." I said blowing her a kiss. "See ya pretty." She said blowing me a kiss causing me to smile and finally walk out of the hospital.

A little further away I saw Nico resting against his car. I raised and eyebrow looking at him. He pushed himself away from the car and smiled softly.

It's been couple days since I last saw him. "Uhm Nicola?" I said. "Yep that's me." He chuckled placing his hands in his pockets. "Are you okay? What brings you here at this time? Is you round okay?" I asked.

"Well I have fully recovered and I wanted to thank you about everything you did on a dinner." He said nervously scratching the back of his neck. "Uhm a dinner?" I chuckled. "Yeah I mean.. why not? Can't a man thank his surgeon at a dinner for saving his life? Everyone does it." He shrugged causing me to laugh softly.

A dinner? Well no patient has actually ever asked me before to thank me for 'saving' them.

I can't lie though Nicola was really attractive. And his brown eyes were mesmerizing. I could easily get lost in them.

"Why would I go out for dinner with a stranger?" I asked raising an eyebrow. I have never gotten this type of attention before. Men always wanted one thing from me. And it sure as hell wasn't cute dates or anything. 

There's always a first for everything Bella.

Voice shut up.

"I mean isn't that a way to get to know each other?" He smirked. "Are you asking me out on a date?" I asked causing him to chuckle and once again scratch the back of his neck nervously. "Depends. Would you go out with me?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

Was he being serious? He doesn't even know me how can he ask me out on a date?

"No." I said and started walking but I could feel footsteps. He was probably following me.

"Okay fine. At least let me drive you home. It's late." He said causing me to stop walking and turn at him. "How do I know you're not a serial killer that just wants to act nice and drive me somewhere away then boom. Kill me." I said.

He just burst out of laughter causing me to frown. "If I was I would have done that long time ago. There's no one around here so." He shrugged. "That's a good point." I muttered.

I mean it was pretty late and it was kind of creepy at this time. Should I risk it all and go with the pretty boy or walk home and get myself in danger?

"Ugh fine. But I'm texting my friend letting her know you're driving me home. If something happens to me... she'll haunt you down." I said pointing at him as we walked towards his car. "Trust me." He chuckled. "I don't trust myself... you can't ask me to trust you." I said softly.

He wanted to ask something but he gave up and just opened the car door for me. "Thank you." I said getting in. He closed the door and got in his seat. I put on my seatbelt and he did the same our hands brushing in the process.

I ignored the weird feeling I got and texted Irina as Nico started driving. I told him the address then pulled my phone away.

"So a surgeon huh?" Nico said causing me to chuckle. "You can't flirt for shit." I said causing him to smile softly. "Is it that obvious? I mean I can flirt but you're literally making me nervous right now I can't form a single word." He muttered causing me to chuckle.

I've never heard from a man that I make them nervous.

I mean there's always a first for everything idiot.

This voice in my head will die. I'll make sure of it.

"Did the police find the person that shoot you?" I asked looking at Nico. I remember that day. The gunshots, the screams. I was still having nightmares. I don't think anyone else was injured though. They just got scared. Which was understandable. 

"No. Not yet." He said before clearing his throat. "Well I hope they find them." I said softly. "Me too." He said glancing at me then back at the road.

He pulled over in front of the building and he took off his seatbelt and rushed to open the car door for me.

A gentleman. Check.

"Thank you." I said getting out of the car after taking my seatbelt off. "Well thank you Nico for the ride home. Even though you didn't have to." I said. "It was my pleasure." He smiled.

"Goodnight then.." I said softly while making my way towards the entrance. "Goodnight... Issie." I heard him say softly causing me to stop walking.

My heart went crazy at that little nickname he had just gave me. I was sure he was still standing there watching me so I didn't turn around. I walked in the building and made my way towards the elevator.

I pressed the button to my floor and groaned. "Why me? Why?" I groaned. The elevator doors opened and I walked out. I took my keys out and unlocked the door to my apartment.

My apartment was huge and I've decorated it the way I liked it. I've worked hard to get to where I am today. I didn't have much support. At least from my mother.

She wanted me to become a lawyer of course so she said if I wanna become a surgeon I was on my own. She wouldn't pay my college or anything. I worked two jobs to get this apartment and to pay my college. My dad of course helped but I was too stubborn and sometimes I declined his help.

I closed the door and locked it then took my shoes off sighing. I'm so tired and I hadn't even realized that until now.

I texted Irina telling her I'm home and went upstairs to take a shower. After my shower I brushed my teeth then put on some panties and a long T-shirt and walked back downstairs.

I grabbed a bottle of white wine and a glass and walked in my living room. I took a seat on the couch and sighed in happiness that I was finally home.

I turned the tv on and poured the wine in the glass then placed the bottle on the coffee table.

I took a sip of it and moaned.

The next day I was looking through my clothes to find an outfit for today. When I finally did I started getting dressed.

I pulled my hair in a ponytail leaving a few hair fall on the sides. Satisfied with my look I grabbed my bag and keys and walked out.

I took the elevator and after a few seconds the doors opened and I walked out jumping a little at the person I saw standing in front of me.

"Good morning." Nico said sending me his famous smile. "What are you doing here?" I asked confused. "I came to drive you at work and I even got you a coffee." He said holding the cup of coffee up for me to see.

"Why?" I asked truly confused.

Why was he doing this?

"So you said you wouldn't go on a date with a stranger. So I thought we could get to know each other then we won't be called strangers and you will finally go on a date with me." He smirked.

"What a plan." I mumbled and started walking out of the building. "Your coffee." He said walking next to me. I stopped walking and turned at him. "I don't drink coffee." I faked a smile.

"Noted. Wanna go get a tea instead?" He asked. "No. I already had one earlier." I said and started walking. Justin walked next to me and took a sip of the coffee. "What are you doing?" I frowned. "I guess you rather walk at work so I'm walking with you at work." He said causing me to frown again.

This dude is crazy.

"So you don't like coffee. I'm not a huge fan either but I like having a coffee every morning." He said causing me to smile softly but I tried to hide it. "How did you sleep?" He asked. "Good. You?" I asked looking at him.

"I didn't sleep much. I had to deal with work." He said and I nodded. "Do you ever have a day off?" I asked trying to start a conversation since I didn't want to silently walk. It gets awkward.

"Nah. I can't. Especially since my father is retiring. And well I get to take over." He said. "Hmm. Interesting." I said causing him to chuckle. "Not really." He said before taking a sip of the coffee again. He was probably done with it since he threw it in a bin we passed.

"What's your job exactly?" I asked causing him to clear his throat. "Business. Our family owns a couple restaurants, hotels, clubs, companies. Little stuff ya know." He said causing me to snort. "Little things?" He chuckled and shrugged.

We arrived at the hospital and I bite my bottom lip nervously. "Uhm thanks.. I enjoyed your company." I said softly causing him to smile.

Ugh screw him for having such a precious smile.

"You're welcome. See ya around." He said before walking off.

I walked in the hospital and greeted everyone I saw. I walked in my office and saw Irina laying on the couch I had there. "Awe my tired baby." I said in a baby voice causing her to chuckle.

"Don't ask. I had a terrible night at the emergency." She groaned causing me to wince.

The emergency section was the toughest job. I'm not even gonna lie.

"Someone's happy though." She smirked sitting up. "Spill." She said. "What? I've nothing to say." I chuckled and put on my lab coat. "Hmm sure." She muttered taking her phone out. "I'll have to go finally. I'll go rest as tomorrow I have the day off." She said causing me to smile.

"Same here. We can have our girls night." I grinned causing her to smile and hug me. "I know I'll plan everything. I'll see you tomorrow babe." She said blowing me a kiss. "See you tomorrow Iri." I said and walked out of the office to get to work.

"Bella." Elsa smiled causing me to smile at her. Elsa was one of my patients. She's sixteen but she's the smartest and most lovable girl I've ever met.

"Hey beautiful." I said kissing her head. Her mother Cindy also smiled at me. "Hi Cindy." I said before taking a seat on one of the chairs taking Elsa's hand in mine. "Hey Bella." Cindy said. "How are we doing today?" I asked.

Elsa unfortunately was diagnosed with lung cancer but that didn't take her beautiful smile away. She was the strongest and bravest girl I've met.

"I'm okay. I just wish I could go outside. I'm bored here Bella." She said softly playing with my fingers. "Hmm.. maybe we can do something about that." I said causing her to smile and look up at me. "Really?" She asked. "I'll see if I can do something. I promise I'll talk with the medical director and see if we can do something okay?" I said and she smiled and nodded before pulling me in a hug.

I smiled and kissed her head again before pulling away. "Now I'll have to go but I'll be back again. I love you and stay strong." I said squeezing her hand. "Promise?" I asked holding my pinky out. "Pinky promise." She said and smiled connecting our pinkies.

"I'll see you again soon Cindy." I said giving her a hug. "Thank you." She whispered causing me to smile softly. "I love you." I said and waved at Elsa. "I love you too." She smiled waving at me.

Just like in the morning Nicola was once again waiting for me out of the hospital. "Nicola ... you're here again." I said causing him to smile. "Yep. I thought we could walk home." He shrugged and I sighed.

"Don't you have something better to do?" I asked as I started walking. "Nah. Not really." He said but I'm sure he was lying. We walked next to each other and I couldn't help but smile softly.

He really wanted to get to know me. I mean if he wanted to just get in my pants he wouldn't be doing all these stuff right? 

"How was work?" We both asked in unison and I chuckled. "You first." He said. "Tiring. Full of emergencies." I sighed. "Yours?" I asked. "Meh. Like every other day." He shrugged and I just nodded.

"Do you have allergies? Like what's one thing you're allergic too?" He asked causing me to raise an eyebrow. "Well now that's a deep question. I wasn't ready for that." I said causing him to laugh softly.

That laugh was just music in my ears. Uhm what the fuck since when?

"It may sound funny but I don't know. I mean I haven't noticed anything." I shrugged and once again Justin laughed softly. "So wait you're a doctor and have no idea if you're allergic to something or not?" He asked. "Oh shut up it's not that weird." I said rolling my eyes playfully.

"Whatever you say." He chuckled. We finally arrived at the building and I saw Nicola's car parked there. "Well thank you again." I said. "You're welcome. My pleasure." He grinned. "Goodnight Nicola." I said. "Goodnight Issie." He said softly as I walked in the building.

I couldn't wait for the elevator cause I grew impatient so I went from the stairs. When I arrived in front of my apartment I saw a bouquet of Chrysanthemums.

I gasped and grabbed the bouquet and noticed a card there. I grabbed the card and smiled softly as I opened it.

I found myself smiling at the card Nicola had left. He was really putting an effort.

He wanted to get to know me.

I wish I had his number and send him a thank you text. I unlocked the door to my apartment and walked in. I closed the door locking it and took off my shoes.

I made my way towards the kitchen and put the flowers in a vase. I then placed the vase on the coffee table in the living room. I looked down at the card and smiled again like an idiot.

I finally grabbed the novel I've been reading lately and put the card at the page I've left the book at.

I then walked upstairs to have a shower and change in my pyjamas.

The next day even though I had the day off I woke up bright and early. I'm sure Irina is still sleeping so I decided to go for a run until she wakes up. I got dressed and pulled my hair in a ponytail.

I took the stairs and once again I was met with Nicola. "Good morning.." he said and raised an eyebrow looking at me. "Are you going at the hospital like this?" He asked causing me to chuckle. "No. I have the day off. I was going for a run actually." I said and he nodded.

"I got you a tea. We can walk together maybe." He said and I smiled and nodded taking the cup of tea from his hands ignoring the weird feeling I got once our fingers brushed.

"Thank you. And thank you for the flowers." I said as we started walking. "No problem. I really hope you liked them." He said. "I did." I smiled softly and took a sip of the tea. I raised an eyebrow and hummed.

"Jasmine.. my favorite tea how would you know?" I asked causing him to shrug. "I just liked the name and got it." He said truthfully causing me to laugh. "You're such a weirdo." I said. "Yeah well." He shrugged.

"So since it's your day off—"

"—no. I'm not going on a date with you." I said. "I wasn't going to ask that.. I was going to ask what do you have planned?" He chuckled. "Well me and my friend are having a girls night. We're gonna watch movies and eat. Talk girl stuff ya know." I shrugged before taking another sip of my tea.

"That sounds.. cool I guess." He said causing me to laugh softly. "It is for us girls." I said. "Hmm. If you say so." He shrugged.

As we walked around at a park I saw that girls would literally undress Nicola with their eyes. They were checking him up and down as if he was meat.

And why is that bothering you bitch? He's a single man. He can have any girl.

Stupid voice.

"What?" Justin asked. "Huh?" I said confused. Oh shit did I say that out loud? Ugh fuck. Why am I like this?

"I thought you said something." He said. "No." I chuckled and kept walking.

I don't know if it was good that I was getting used to Nicola's company so fast. But I decided to enjoy it.

He was making me smile and laugh and I liked it.
