I walked downstairs and made my way out at the garden. I still can't believe Nico made me get over my fear the other night.

I smiled softly remembering that. I saw a girl sitting on one of the chairs that were there. I decided to make my way towards her. "Hey." I said softly.

The girl closed the book she was reading and looked up at me. "Hi." She whispered softly. "Can I sit with you?" I asked. "Of course." She said and I smiled taking a seat next to her.

I noticed a picture she had in the book. Half of the picture was sticking out. It was Leo.

"I'm Bella. We haven't met property. I mean we haven't talked." I said and she smiled softly. "I'm Layla." She said shaking my hand.

"That would be great.. if grandma allows us to go." She said softly. "Why wouldn't she?" I asked. "Because it's dangerous being out. I mean we're suppose to stay home. We go to school but that's all. We go out only with guards or family." She explained and I hummed.

"Don't worry I'll make sure we can go." I smiled. "Where's your family?" She suddenly asked. "They don't live here." I smiled softly and she nodded. "I better go. I still have homework to do and it's exhausting." Layla said standing up causing me to chuckle.

"But I loved talking to you. Welcome." She said and walked off holding her book close to her chest. I smiled softly and sighed looking up at the sky. "Welcome." I whispered.

I heard a bark and turned. Max run my way and I smiled. "Hi boy." I said rubbing his head and ears. "How are you? Huh? You're a good boy." I said and smiled. I noticed he had threw his ball here and I took it and threw it away. "Go get it boy." I said and he run off.

"Looks like Max loves you." Arya said as she walked my way with Amelie and Melanie. "Max doesn't like anyone but Nicola." Amelie chuckled and they all took their seats. "How are you?" Amelie asked smiling softly.

"Oh my God I'm so bored. I wanna go to work." I sighed. "She's a hard worker." Arya chuckled and I chuckled as well. "I can't just stay home all day. I'm used to being at work most of the time." I sighed.

"I'm sure you're gonna go back to work soon." Melanie said and I hummed. "Looks like you're not used to this kind of lifestyle." Arya said. "I'm not.. how can I be? I wasn't born in a life like this. Your family is too different from others. You have your own rules." I explained.

"We're not that different." Amelie chuckled making me give her a look. "Yeah we actually are you're right." She said and I chuckled shaking my head. "But I've never seen Nicola like this. The guy is in love. And I don't know how you did it but girl you're stuck with us for life." Amelie said and I chuckled.

"I agree." Arya said. "Me too." Melanie chuckled and I smiled.

We talked for a few then I went back in my bedroom. My phone rang and I answered after checking the ID.

"Hey Iri." I smiled taking a seat on the edge of the bed. "Hey bitch. How are you?" She asked.

When Nico gave me my phone back I texted Irina apologising for not telling her that I was on a trip with Nico. What can I tell her?

I smiled softly and washed my face and after a few I walked out. I made my way in the closet and when I chose my outfit I started getting dressed.

"Thank you." I smiled. "Let's go." He said and took my hand in his. We made our way downstairs and I could hear small talks coming from the living room.

Nico opened the front door and we walked out. We got in his car and he drove off. "Where are we going?" I asked again hoping to annoy him and make him tell me.

"I'm not telling you. But we're having some alone time after a while." He said and I hummed. "I see through your plans De Luca." I said pointing at him. He chuckled and hummed. "Do you?" He asked.

The car ride wasn't long. We listened to the music that was playing and enjoyed the ride. Nico pulled over and rushed my way opening the car door for me. We were now in the elevator.

When the elevator doors opened Nico unlocked the door to his penthouse and I walked in first. He followed and closed the door. "Awe this is cute. When did you even get the time for this?" I pouted when I saw that he had rose petals on the coffee table and on the floor. The were two candles placed on the table and food.

"Yes I'm ready. Let's go." I said and we walked downstairs. "See? I didn't even had the time to clean." I sighed. "It's okay I'll do it later." He said. "You will? Wow. What a man I have by my side." I said. "Good for you to know." He smirked. We walked out and Nico locked the door.

"Your neighbors must be hating us right now." I muttered. "I don't have neighbors. I own this building. And my brothers have each a penthouse here. So." He smirked.

"Well that's good on one side." I mumbled and we finally walked outside.

I noticed a car with two guards and looked at Nico. "I'll have to rush at work but Mike and Achilles will drive you at work and wait for you." He said causing me to frown.

"Wait for me? Nico I can't have guards around me. People will start talking and—"

"—Bella this is a must. You don't get to chose. You want to go at work Mike and Achilles will be there. They will wait for you drive you back safe." He said.

I wanted to say something but I decided against it. "Okay fine." I whispered and he smiled. He kissed me softly before pulling away. "I love you." He said. "I love you. Sadly." I joked and he laughed. "I'm sorry I can't drive you at work today. I promise I'll make it up." He smiled.

"It's okay Nico. I'll see you later. Be careful." I said. "I will." He said and kissed my cheek before walking off.

Achilles, the young guy opened the car door for me. "Miss Bella please." He said and I chuckled. "Miss? Call me Bella." I said and got in closing the car door myself.

Mike and Achilles got in as well and Mike started driving. I was excited to go back at work. I was seeing Irina again finally.

It was as if I was a kid going back to school excited to see her friends. The car ride was silent. But a peaceful one. Not awkward or anything.

Achilles was probably playing on his phone since noises were heard causing Mike to frown. "Kid stop playing." He said causing me to smile softly. "Why you gotta be so grumpy man? I have a better time with Jason. You act like a dad. Just because you're a little older." Achilles complained.

"I would cuss you out but we have a lady in the car." Mike said. "No no pretend like I'm not even here." I said.

Mike didn't push it. He kept driving and when we arrived he pulled over. Achilles went to open my door but I did it myself and stepped out. "Achilles I appreciate your kindness but you're not my slave to open the door each time I get in or out." I said and he smiled.

I started walking and noticed them following me. I stopped and turned at them. "Where to?" I asked. "We are coming in. We have to stand by your office door." Mike said. "You must be kidding me? Mike that can't happen. No." I said. "Miss Bella we have certain orders from Nico that we must stand by your office door please." He said.

"There's no way. People will notice you guys inside. What am I gonna say? I'm not some celebrity that should have guards right outside her office." I explained. "Please stay here." I said and Achilles looked at Mike.

Mike sighed and nodded. "Okay fine. We'll be here." He said and I smiled. "Thank you." I said and walked in the hospital.

I greeted everyone on my way and when I walked in the office I saw Irina sitting on the couch that I had there and gasped when she saw me. "BELLA!!" She stood up and hugged me. "My girl I love you I missed you." She said and I chuckled hugging her back.

"I missed you too and I love you too." I said and pulled away. "How come you showed up today? I didn't know you got back from your trip." She said. "Yeah I did and I decided to move in with Nico." I said as I placed my bag on the desk.

But I can't just say Nico is a mafia leader and he forcefully took me to his parents house. But later I agreed to stay with him because I love him and can't seem to get away from him.

Yeah she wouldn't like that much. "I wish I could stay but my shift is over. So I'll call you so we can meet and catch up." She said and I nodded.

"Okay I would love that." I grinned. "Great." She said and hugged me before pulling away. She blew me a kiss and left my office. I chuckled softly at my best friend then grabbed my lab coat and put it on ready for work.

Around lunch I went down at the cafeteria and bought three cups of tea and three slices of cheese pie. I then walked outside where Mike and Achilles were.

"Let's have lunch." I said sitting on the bench that was right in front of the hospital. They walked my way and Achilles took a seat but Mike still stood there. "Mike just take a seat so we can have lunch. It's not a crime." I said and he smiled softly nodding and finally taking a seat.

I gave each a cup of tea and a slice of cheese pie and we started eating. "I got you tea since I didn't know what coffee you like." I explained.

"Tea is good. Thank you Miss Bella." Mike said. "Yeah thank you mi— I mean Bella." Achilles said and I smiled. "Mike don't call me miss Bella. You're older than me." I said.

"Don't worry he's always like that. Moody." Achilles said and Mike gave him a look. I laughed softly and took a sip of my tea. "Okay Mike is at a good age to be a guard but aren't you a little young to be a guard?" I asked Achilles and he chuckled.

"Aren't you too young to be a doctor?" He joked causing me to laugh softly. "You're different from the other De Lucas." Mike said.

"That's because I'm a Ricci. Not a De Luca." I said softly. "Once you step in you can't step back." Achilles said. I looked at him and nodded. "I couldn't agree more." I sighed.

When my shift was over I texted Nico before I walked outside and got in the car. "Ready set go." Achilles said and I laughed softly.

I looked down at my phone and waited for a response from Nico to my message.

Bella: I missed you today. Are you being careful for me?

I smiled when he messaged me back.

Nico: I missed you too like crazy. I'm sorry I couldn't pick you up. I'm in a meeting. I'll see you right after. I love you habibti.

I smiled wider and texted him back.

I put my phone on the seat next to me and looked out of the window.

Suddenly Mike stopped the car. I frowned and looked up two cars in front of us and two at the back. ''What's wrong?'' I asked nervously.

''Stay here.'' Mike said and took his gun out along with Achilles. ''Wait!'' I said grabbing Mike's arm. ''You two can't just go.'' I said. ''Stay in the car no matter what. No one will do anything to you while we're here.'' Mike said making me swallow.

There was no way out. And I was starting to panic. 

''Give us the girl or we'll just take her ourselves.'' One of the guys said. They were too many. Mike and Achilles wouldn't be able to make it. ''Over my dead body.'' Mike said and Achilles chuckled. ''Try it dude.'' He smirked and aimed his gun shooting a guy.

I screamed and covered my ears looking at what was happening. Things escalated quickly. A guy shot Achilles and I got out of the car. ''ACHILLES.'' I rushed his way. His side was bleeding but he was still trying to stand on his feet. ''Bella get in the car and drive off. LEAVE.'' He snapped but I couldn't go.

''I'll come I will just don't hurt them.'' I said. ''You're not going anywhere.'' Mike growled. Gunshots were heard and I got down covering my ears again. When I opened my eyes I saw Mike on the ground and Achilles too.

''MIKE, ACHILLES WAKE UP.'' I cried. ''Please wake up.'' I covered my mouth.

''LET ME GO.'' I snapped when someone grabbed my elbow and dragged me out of there. ''LET ME GO. HELP.'' I screamed but it was no use.

It was too late.
