"ouch.." kate hissed in pain as her mother cleaned the wound "sorry.." her mother said "does clint think you're a superhero?" her mother asked "No" kate said being honest "I don't either." kate said.

"Mm. i know it's scary now, kate. but this doesn't have to change who you are. it just means that what you do might look a little different than you dreamed of as a child. And preferably a little reckless."  her mother said.

"I never wanted to be reckless. I wanted to help you" kate said "I know, Hon." her mother said clean wound which happened on his lips, "Recklessness is the unfortunate side effect." her mother said and she looked at her and smiled.

"bet you regret buying me that first bow, don't you?" kate said "Sometimes," her mother said and kate made are you sure about that face "kidding" her mother said.

"You were so cute with that tiny bow" her mother said kate closed her eyes and "god, i thought i could do anything," kate said "I really thought i could be one of them." kate added.

"Son't beat yourself, Hon." her mother said "Sometimes the path we're on, They wind around in ways that we never would have expected all you can do is keep moving forward, Even on days when honestly, it all just kind of feels like shit." her mother said 

"do you ever worry about me not finding my path?" kate asked her mother "No." her mother said "I know exactly who you are." her mother replied when she applied "and i have pretty good picture of who you're becoming." her mother said and smiled.

"I need to tell you something. clint and i have been looking into Armand's murder and we found a lot of incriminating stuff about jack, mom. Including this shell company that he has, Called Sloan limited. maybe there's a reason for all. i don't know but you have to please just make a promise me. that you'll look into it. that's all i ask. " kate said "okay. Okay, I will." her mother said.

"You go get your thing and come back home," her mother said "okay ma" kate said they both shared a hug. her mother went and kate opened her bag and saw her almost ready new hawkeye costume.

the same night, kate went back to her apartment "this looks toast" kate said looking around, "Kate bishop" she heard a female voice kate turned around and throwed red sause bottle and the blonde woman caught it.

she turned it aside and said "HIIIIIII" she put the sauce down and said "i made macaroni if you want some." kate put her hands on her hips and said "I'm sorry. What?"

"well, i was starving and you took forever. so i wanted to make food. "  she said and came near and took a seat "what do you want?" kate asked "Relax kate bishop. I just want to talk, okay?" yelena said "Are you not hungry? that fight was so long..It's really tasty, really tasty." yelena said as she went to find a fork hungry kate looked and said "i know what boxed mac ad cheese taste like. Its just so Yumm" kate said.

"No...You have one fork.." yelena said showing her "i am one person..."kate said "that's so weird" yelena said "Kate, this is not cutlery. this is not cutlery." yelena said as she came "I am not gonna have dinner with you after you tried to kill me and broke into my house." yelena came with O face and said "I did not try to kill you. A, i put you a wire to remove an obstacle. and  B, i did not break anything..i am way too talented than that. And C, stop being so defensive. Okay? " yelena said.

"You're so hostile" she remarked "I' m not going to hurt you. I promise, I don;t have any weapons on me. Okay i take that back. I don't have any weapon currently in my hands." yelena said and kate looks at her hands yelena looks at her hand and said "that's a lie also." 

"come on, take a fork. Eat. Eat" yelena said "please, my daddy says it's good for you." yelena said as she took a seat "You're probably thinking,  What? this is crazy. I am going to have dinner with an enemy? and she made some really good-smelling macaroni. but honestly, if i wanted to kill you--- " "you wound have already" kate said "yes, right as you opened the door" yelena said

"i probably wouldn't have to shut it."  kate said "Right"yelena said "i'd have been dead. Okay." kate said "no"yelena said. "Yeah" yelena said.

kate took a seat and ate pasta "Are you done?" Yelena said and kate nodded as yes,  "i go?" she asked "sure you can" kate said "can i put hot sauce on it?" yelena asked "sure" kate said.

"ah, i love hot sauce"  yelena said and  started putting  hot sauce   she said "Yes" kate was not able to understand what is going on, "so what do you want?" she asked "well, it's my first time in new york. Mmm- Hmmm. its a business trip, so time is limited. but i wanted to see some things. Like i want to see, uh, the empire state building." yelena said eating pasta

"the new and improved statue of liberty and the Rockefeller center" yelena said "Very funny" kate said "what, it's not good?" she asked "Oh, no, they're-they're great. Yeah, you...i mean, you've gotta seen the tree" kate said "ahh" yelena said clapping her hands "exactly. see? I love american Christmases. and Indian festivals, by the way, kate or kiara bishop. if i come to india, what places i should go?" Yelena asked

"every where" kate said "ah, india must be an amazing place then" yelena said "yeah" kate said "so, your cousin raghav is going to be married, have you know about it?" yelena said kate looked confused "so you do not know?" yelena asked.

"yeah, i did not know they where looking for a bride" kate said "ah, its fine, so where was i? yeah the three the presents, the super-powered reindeer, Rudolph" Yelena said

"Hmm.. Rudolph. Heh." kate said "he is so weird," Yelena said between laugh "Have you ever eaten reindeer?" yelena asked "ahhh..no.. "kate said " it is not a pleasure, no, it's um, it's really tough, it's chewy. Mm, you have to braise it for a really long time, But hey, kate bishop you grew up here, right? " Yelena asked.

"yes" kate said "You must have some recommendation for me." yelena said, "yeah..em.. Yeah, i-i have. let's see the high line. high line is great. Um... there's a Christmas market in union square. Um.. I'm not quite sure those are the right fit for the blood-thirsty vigilante type. " kate said and yelena laughed "sometimes you're funny kate bishop." yelena said.

"do you say my whole name to point out that you know it?" kate asked and Yelena nodded "yes. i know a lot about you." yelena said. "mother, eleanor, born here, half Indian. lives on park and 41st, best friend aaron hunter, best friend  Laura feron Bruse banner cousin sister. Father, Dhruv, deceased. very sad" hearing her father's name kate got sad "And you recently walked into traffic to save a dog, which I'll admit is pretty cool, and you got a few points from me on that. Um.. University GPA 3.8, Senior, Double major, going to graduate soon and.." when yelena was about to say kate cut her of by saying "right. okay..we get it"

"thank you" kate said "Are you in new york to talk to clint? is that why you're here?" kate asked "No, no no. I am here to kill him, Clint Barton." hearing this kate got shocked "I have a question for you" yelena said "say" kate said back "what is it? why do you risk your life for him? clint barton?" she asked kate did not said anything.

"How has everybody forgiven him for his past?" yelena asked "he saved the world" kate said "no. my sister saved the world. Natasha Romanoff, she saved the world. stop pretending like you're not surprised. it does not look cool." yelena said.

"you're really natasha's sister?" kate asked "yes" yelena replied "wow. i did not see that coming, thank god i didn't kill you up there." kate said yelena laughed "You kill me? Again, Oh kate bishop, you are so funny. that's hilarious. That one is the funniest," she said and laugh.

"They both were friends, why are you after him?" kate asked "You are so fond of him." yelena said "it tells me you don't really know who he is." yelena said "he came out here to protect me." kate said.

"No. he came here to protect his reputation. do you know how many people he killed? the trailed of blood that follows him, it could wrap around the entire world. " Yelena said "okay, wow. that was very Russian." kate said.

Yelena hmmed "He's still an Avenger." kate said "what does that word even mean? Huh? that it holds so much power.you call him hero no matter what he does?" yelena said.

"it means that when you choose to spend your whole life trying to help people, there are going to be things that you lose. when you face the kind of..threats that he has, there's going to be collateral damage." kate said "my sister.. is gone..because of him" yelena said.

"no..that is no.."kate said "she's gone" Yelena said " is she collateral damage?" yelena asked "no, look, there is no way. that is true. he would not let that happen." kate said, "how long you know clint barton?" Yelena asked "about a week"

"it would be not difficult to kill him for me to complete this assignment." Yelena said "hold on a minute, somebody hired you to kill him?" kate asked Yelena stayed quite "all i say is that if there is someone out there that is telling you clint is a bad guy, then maybe you should ask yourself what kind of person hired you."  kate said.

"He is not perfect. Nobody is. But he is good, has a heart." kate said yelena then said "however he convinced you about who he is.or how many people think or called him a hero. truth is it doesn't matter. we are defined by what we do. not by nice words. life it or not, there is no escaping this." yelena looked around.

"so.. where is he?"she asked "after you went we had a fight, me and clint. I went early, so i do not know." kate said yelena nodded "okay" she said.

"thank you for the girls' night, truly." yelena said, she said and left.

as she was standing on window "and kate bishop, do not come in my way" yelena said and jumped. 

kate got up and said "Aaron..laura" and then she went. when she came back she saw jack was arrested, she hugged her mom saying i am sorry mom, and her mom telling i looked into it, and by the time aaron came down and saw him arrested.

aaron came down and hugged kate from side, after he left aaron and kate went back to his room. she told him what happened between her and Natasha sister.

"try calling clint" aaron said "okay" kate said as she tried to call him "try one" aaron said
