━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐗 𝐖𝐀𝐒 good at staying hidden from the world. She was master at going out and coming back in completely undetected, and she was proud of what she had accomplished. However, she was ashamed of why it was that she had to do it. She was ashamed of who she was and what it is that she had done so many years ago. Putting her baby brother in a mental hospital because of her powers was never her intent. She had just been so upset and she just wanted him to understand. She just wanted someone who could understand her.

Sitting there in her bedroom, her eyes carefully blinking open as the bright sun rose higher and higher into the sky until it got to the point that it was attempting to shine through her black curtains that covered all of the windows inside of her home. The dark haired woman allowed for a sigh to fall from her lips, forcing herself to sit up in her bed and run a hand through her dark hair. Her home was the only place where she didn't have to wear her gloves. Having bought a freshly built home so that she knew for a fact there weren't any horrors hiding deep within the walls.

She stood up, forcing herself to live with the fact that it was a new day and she was still burdened with this curse that made her wish she couldn't feel anything in her hands. Walking through her small home, she made her way towards the bathroom, quickly stripping herself of her clothes before jumping into the shower, allowing for the scolding hot water to run against her skin and burning away any of the bad memories she had managed to gain by going out of her home the day prior.

Theodora knew that the way that she was living was extremely unhealthy. She knew that she was supposed to socialize and get out of her home, but it seemed that every time that she did so something bad always seemed to happen. Whether that be her glove sliding up her hand without her realizing it, or some one slamming into her on accident. It didn't matter how it happened, nonetheless new horror always filled her head either way.

It seemed like the first half of the shower was spent with Theodora allowing the water to run over her face in order to prepare her for the day ahead. She hadn't decided whether or not she was going to go out, but usually she ended up doing so, because she was trying to slowly rope herself back into the life of a normal human being―︎even though she knew that she would ever be normal, no matter how much she wished that she could be. By the time she had finally turned off the water and exited the shower, her skin had turned blood red.

A sigh fell from her lips as she quickly got dressed and made her way into the kitchen. Living alone was comforting for Theodora. She didn't enjoy the company of other people and that's why when she had paid for a home to be built for her, she got it far away and up in the mountains where no one could find her or bother her. Fixing herself a cup of coffee, she stepped out onto the porch, sitting down on the steps as she looked out towards the lake that lay in front of her small little home.

It was peaceful. A small smile managed to curl up at the corners of her lips as she listened to the birds chirp and communicate with one another. The slight breeze ruffling through her dark hair. Her emerald green eyes lit up slightly as she watched the family of ducks swim through the lake. She sat her coffee mug down before entering her home long enough to grab the birdseeds that she had bought for them a little while back when they had first come around. She walked up to the lake, pouring a handful of seeds in her hand.

She kneeled down, whistling in order to grab the ducks attention. She smiled a little more as the ducks came towards her, a gasp of surprise falling from her lips when she saw four baby ducklings following after the three big ducks. "Good morning, guys." She held out her hand towards them, chuckling lightheartedly as they were quick to eat it up. She moved her hand back slightly, watching as the small ducklings slithered forwards in front the adults. Pouring more seeds into her hand, she allowed the tiny animals to eat from her hand.

"See you tomorrow." Theodora waved the animals goodbye, standing up straight and watching as they swam away, going about their morning. She loved feeding the ducks, she decided that she really needed to give them some names. Entering inside to place back the bag of birdseeds and to wash her hands, she walked back outside in order to retrieve her coffee cup.

Bending down to pick up, Theodora clutched the mug in her hand, bringing the warm liquid to her lips before suddenly she felt a difference. Something was different, and she didn't know what it was. She narrowed her eyes, slowly turning her head around and finding nothing. And just as she was about to go back inside, she found herself stopping in her tracks. She straightened her shoulders before slowly turning her head only to find a man standing in front of her porch steps.

"Theodora Knox?" Clint Barton ask. "I'm gonna need you to come with me."
