Riley's bedroom

3rd POV

Renee and her bestfriend Aurora were sitting with Riley and Maya, Renee's twin and her twin's bestfriend respectively, on the bay window in Riley's room.

"Why do we have to sneak out the window, if we're not doing anything wrong until we sneak onto the subway?" Riley asked the people around her.

"You think you're ready to just walk by your parents?" Maya questioned Riley.

"I think I'm ready." Riley smiled while Maya, Renee and Aurora shared a look.

"Let me see your face as you walk by your parents." Aurora dared the brunette, wanting to test if she really was as ready as she claimed. Riley gave a look of sheer fright to the other three.

"Why are you making that face at us, Riley?" Maya asked, taking the role of the twins' parents.

"Because I'm sneaking out to the subway..." Riley sheepishly confessed, making her twin shake her head and Aurora sigh.

"Out the window." Riley pointed to the window, "Let's go." Maya encouraged and went out with her bestfriend, while Renee and Aurora just sat there knowing what was gonna happen next.

"In 3....2....1..." Renee and Aurora counted as the two girls came back inside, followed by the twins' Dad, Cory Matthews, having been stopped by him.

"Daddy! What are you doing out here?" Riley innocently asked.

"Being smarter than me. How come you're always smarter than me?" Maya whined.

"Here's what I'm thinking." Cory started as Riley and Maya moved to sit on the bed while the other two stayed on the bay window, "It's not your world yet. It's still my world. Because if it was your world, Maya, Renee and Aurora would have you on the subway already, thinking you pulled something over on me. But you didn't. Wanna know how I know? Look at you, you're right here." Cory paused to look at Renee and Aurora, "Why didn't you both crawl out the bay window with them?" He raised an eyebrow as the two answered,

"Because we're not idiots." The duo answered together before looking at each other, smiling and saying, "Ooh~Same-sies."

The two bestfriends didn't even notice Maya's glare and Cory's weirded out expression.

"How long do we have to live in our father's world?" Riley asked bringing back Cory's attention to her.

"Until you make it yours. Riley, Renee, do you know what I want more than anything? Go ahead. Make it yours." Cory gestured towards the twins.

"We will. And when we do, will you still be there for us?" Renee questioned with a hopeful expression on her face.

"Right here. We'll be right here." Another person's voice came from near the door. The five people in the room looked towards the source of the noise and saw Topanga Matthews, Renee and Riley Matthews' mother.

Aurora and Renee linked arms and went ahead, Riley and Maya doing the same and following behind.

Bleecker Street Subway Station

Renee's POV

Entering the station, I heard a familiar beat, it was familiar to Maya, Aurora and I. I turned around to the source of the sound,

"Dweezil!" Maya, Aurora and I shouted in sync. We three sneaked out here all the time so we were pretty familiar with the place.

"Renee, Aurora, Maya!" Dweezil greeted and took notice of Riley, "Who's the new chick?" His question went ignored as Riley pulled us all near her and whispered, "Chick! Down here I'm a chick! No wonder our parents don't want us on the subway." Aurora and I shrugged, as I said earlier, we snuck out here all the time. I had been doing this with Maya and Aurora ever since we met.

As we started walking toward the subway, Gretchen, walked by with her friends, "You're slouching Maya. Great posture Renee and Aurora."

"We learnt from the best!" Aurora replied while putting her arm around my shoulder as we gave a small smirk to the older woman.

"Thanks, Gretchen!" Maya said, putting her hands on her hips as she walked ahead. Riley copied her while Aurora and I just laughed at her before following behind the two.

Renee's POV

Riley and Maya were holding onto the same pole while Aurora and I were holding onto one right beside theirs. We were endorsed in our own conversation when I saw Riley putting onย  lip gloss. My lip gloss.

"That's mine, Riley! Stop snooping around my stuff!" I lightly scolded her and took back my kiwi flavored lip gloss. I hated it when Riley took my stuff without asking for my permission first. She always said sharing our stuff would bring us 'closer' as twins.

I call bull on that.

She ignored my comment and went back to talking to Maya. I also paid attention to Aurora who was texting someone, "Who are you texting?" I asked. "Oh, it's Max. He's annoying me because I left before him." I giggled at that Aurora's reply.

Max Cooper. My other bestfriend and Aurora's Cousin. He moved in with Aurora and her parents a couple years ago for some unknown reason. All I know is that his parents are divorced and he's living with his aunt and uncle and Aurora in the Cooper's residence.

I was going to speak when I heard Riley yell. Aurora and I turned to look at her and saw her sitting on the laps of a blonde guy. He was holding a book in his hands and looked startled. I chuckled, knowing it was all Maya's doing. I looked away from her and went back to conversing with Aurora, knowing that Riley already liked the guy.

Renee's POV

Aurora and I took out our history books from our lockers with the other two doing the same. I slammed the locker door shut. I jumped when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw that it was Brandon.

"Brandon, you scared me, you idiot!" I said while the boy just chuckled.

Brandon Hunterr. He's Uncle Shawn's and his ex-girlfriend's son. Also one of my four bestfriends. He's been living with us in my big brother, Alex's room since Uncle Shawn travels a lot. My parents happily welcomed him with open arms. He's been with us for 4 years now, already.

"You guys better hurry up. It's dad's class and you're late." My brother, Alex said as he passed by us and went to the teacher's office.

Alex Matthews. The eldest child in our family. My annoying and overprotective big brother. He's two grades above me and Riley since he's 2 years older than us. He's a freshman in high school already but he occassionally comes to middle school with us sometimes. He says he misses the place too much.

Riley and Maya went ahead of us as Brandon, Aurora and I followed them into class with my twin going on about how our father is a 'total nut job' Her words. Not mine.

"Hey Renee, hi honey." Dad greeted us.

"Hi Daddy." Riley and I replied with innocent smiles.

"You're late to your father's class." He said while pointing at us.

"Oh, don't worry about that Mr. Matthews, you wrote them a note." Maya said while smiling mischievously. She took out a folded note from her pocket and handed it to Dad.

"I/He did?" Dad, Aurora and Brandon ask at the same time.

"You did." Maya gives the note to me.

"You did." I pass it to Riley who passed the note to Dad who unfolded it and read out loud, "The twins are late. Deal with it." I laugh silently. "Oh, you got my signature down pretty good this time."

"Oh it was easy, you write like a girl. Plus Aurora has been helping me with it since she has done your signature before." Maya said casually.

"Yeah, she's a pro at signatures." I exclaimed, remembering all the times she did signatures to get us out of trouble.

We all took our seats. I sat in my seat next to Riley on her right side while Aurora sat on the seat behind me. Brandon was sitting behind Max who was sitting on the seat on my right.

"Hey Max." I greeted the boy on my right with a smile.

"Hey Nessie." He smiled back and then we both paid attention to my Dad who started talking about the Civil War.

"The Civil War." He said before Maya mocked him by saying, "The Civil Bore!"

"Thank you, future Mini-Mart employee of the month." Dad sassed back. But Maya had a comeback, "Would I be making more money than you?"

Dad paused before going back to the lesson, "The Civil War! Anybody?"

"A war we fought against ourselves." Riley said.

"Riley, you actually studied it?" Dad asked Riley but I answered instead, "Nope. She's living it." Riley smacked her head down on the desk.

"People, people, are we here to study or not?" Farkle, another one of my close friends said from his seat behind Maya.

"What do you mean Farkle?" Dad asked the boy.

"I've been in love with Riley since the first grade but I'm also equally in love with Renee and Maya. Some might say the great mystery of the universe is who's gonna be the first Mrs. Farkle." Farkle explains to Dad.

Farkle is cute, don't get me wrong but, I just think of him as a brother figure. So it's never gonna happen.

Maya turned around in her seat, "You don't want this." She threatened him but Farkle just said, "Bring it on."

"I always thought he'd wind up with Back-of-the-class-Brenda." Riley said and all of us turned around to look at a female version of Farkle waving at us.

"Yuck!" Farkle said, disgusted.

"Actually, the great mystery of the universe is how you can love three women the same, who couldn't possibly be more different." Dad told Farkle.

"We're not so different. I mean Renee and I are twins and Maya is my bestfriend."

Everyone knew that Riley and I were nothing alike.

Farkle raises his hand, "May I overstep my bounds, sir?"

"You always do." Dad said before exchanging places with Farkle.

Farkle flips the name tag kept on Dad's desk, so now it says, 'Farkle' instead of 'Mr. Matthews.' He ran over to Riley's desk.

"Riley is the sun. Warm and bright and lights up my whole day." He then came to my desk and slammed his hands on it, "Renee is the sunset. A perfect balance between day and night, so calm and so serene. She keeps me level-headed and encourages me to do things. But this sunset can take someone down with her if they make her angry."

He moved to Maya's desk doing the same, "Maya is the night. Dark and mysterious. And the night has always been a mystery to me. Because I go to bed at 7:30. How can I love these three different women? How can I not? Thank you! I am Farkle!" He said and then bowed as he went back to his seat.

Dad went back to the front of the class, "So we were indeed, trying to find out who we were, as a people. Who am I? What should I be? History shows that bad things happen when you don't know who you are."

Just then, the boy that Riley sat on the lap of in the subway entered the class. "Who are you? I don't know who you are." Dad asked.

"Subway boy!" Riley whispers to Me and Maya.

The boy handed Dad a note, "I'm Lucas Friar from, Austin, Texas."

"Oh, new student, Mr. Friar?" Dad asked.

"Yes sir." Lucas answered.

"Great. You're just in time for today's assignment. Have a seat." Dad said and Lucas took a seat behind Maya.

Riley turns around and stares at Lucas while I roll my eyes. She was so obvious.

Before continuing, Dad turned Riley's head back to the front, "So, I'd like you guys to open your books to page 48. Now I'd like you to turn to page one. Now, I'd like you to read from page one to 48." Everybody groaned, "Oh too bad on you! Okay, so for tonight's assignment, I'd like you to write me a three page essay on anything. Anything at all, that you guys believe in so strongly, you fight for it."

As soon as Dad was done Maya spoke up, "That. I'd fight for no homework. I come here everyday; why can't you teach me everything I need to know while I'm here."

I was surprised, I'd never seen her so inspired and motivated. But I just knew that something was gonna go wrong.

"Woo!" Riley yelled, to which Dad gave her a subtle glare and said, "Not woo!"

"He gets our day, let's get back our nights! No homework, more freedom! Who's with me?" Maya keeps on chanting and eventually the rest of the class joins in. Maya then leans towards Riley and tells her, "This is it kid. You wanna be like me? Stand up."

Riley stands up as Maya continued chanting in the background.

"What are you doing?" Dad and I asked together.

"I'm making a choice about who I wanna be, about whose world I want it to be." Riley explained which led Dad to say, "Riley, I know you. You know exactly who you are."

"Then who am I, Dad?" Riley asked.

"You're just like me." Dad said which caused me to smack my hand on my desk and Aurora to laugh from behind me.

"Oh yeah? Would you do this? No homework, More freedom!" Riley started chanting along with the others.

She then turned to me, "Renee, are you with us?" I looked at Aurora and Max and Brandon and said, "No, Riley. I know who I am."

Riley just gave me a slight smile which I returned and asked Farkle the same thing.

"My education? Or my women? My education? Or my women? My education? Or my women?โ€”" Farkle panicked which caused him to stumble a bit, "Oh, it's happening again, Sir." He fainted into my Dad's arms.

Dad looked at me and said, "This is why you're my favorite twin."

I chuckled, "Of course I am Dad. I'm the smarter twin."

"He's your father and she's your twin?" I heard Lucas ask and turned around to answer, "I'm more similar to my mom. But the sad reality is, yes. They're related to me."

Matthews Apartment, Living Room.

Renee's POV

I entered our apartment and kissed my mom's cheek, "Hey Mom. Heads up, incoming, upset father and twin. Also a laughing a big brother." I informed her.

"Ma!" Riley said as she entered the house with Dad and Alex, following behind.

"Ma!" Dad mimicked her.

"Mom!" Alex said coming in after the other two and hugged Mom, who hugged him back.

"Whatever this is, do not put me in the middle of two people I love equally. Just kidding! Come here, honey!" Mom said as she got out of Alex's hug and hugged Riley. Dad sulked on the sideline.

"My teacher followed me home. Can we keep him? Can we keep him? Please say no." Riley said as she hugged Mom back.

"She walked out of my class." Dad explained to Mom.

"She's trying to be like Maya." I continued. Dad looked at me and nodded. "Woah, why would you want to do that...?" Alex asked with a somewhat disgusted and offended look on his face.

Alex wasn't very fond of Maya being Riley's best friend. At first he had no problem with her but then, once when we were just 7 year old kids and Alex was 8, Maya confessed to like my brother and clung onto him like glue. Since then he was always annoyed by even the slightest talks or mentions of Maya.

Though Maya is over that little crush of hers. She told me and Riley that it was just a kiddish liking that she had took to our brother.

"Alex is right, honey. Why would you want to be Maya?" Mom asked.

"Because she's cool, she has a wild side. She does what she wants." Riley tried to reason with our parents. By now Alex was in his room.

Brandon wasn't home yet since he had his After school Soccer Practice today. The JQA Soccer Boys and Girls teams take turns on the ground every alternate Wednesday and Friday. Today was the boys' turn.

"But, you and Renee are such good people!" Mom tried to make Riley understand. "Who cares about that? Do you really think I'm one of those girls who follow all the rules and never get into trouble?" My twin ranted.

"I was hoping so. Renee somewhat is." Dad said while I just sighed.

"Do you really think I'm well-raised?" Riley inquired.

"Half!" Mom shouted as she looked at Dad. I laughed at my parents' dynamics.

"How important is it that you don't know me at all?" She said and then stormed off to her room. Despite being twins, Riley and I did not share a room. I had requested my parents for a separate room and I had gotten what I wanted. Riley wasn't too thrilled about that but kept quiet about it nonetheless.

"I'll try talking to her." I sighed and went to her room.

Renesmee's Room, Night time

Renee's POV

Brandon and I were sitting on my bed and writing our essays. It was a little tradition him and I had where we'd always do our home-works together in my room. Suddenly Riley and Auggie barged into my room and sat on the bay window that I had. Yeah, I wanted one of my own so....

Brandon and I looked at each other and then at my siblings. "Am I the type of person who always plays it safe? Is this who I'm gonna be for the rest of my life? Am I ever gonna take a risk that changes my destiny?" She questioned herself.

"Do bears know how to smile? Why is cake always so delicious? Will my drawings ever get better?" Auggie questioned himself after Riley which made me smile. He was so innocent.

"Are you making fun of me?" Riley asked our little brother.

Auggie smiled, "No, I just think like you because we're triplets including Renee." I swear Auggie is the cutest little brother one could ever have.

"We're not triplets. Renee and I are twins." Riley straightforwardly said.

"Mooooom!" Auggie ran away.

"Wow Riley, you just burst the kid's bubble.....sheesh." Brandon commented as I chuckled at his humor.

Suddenly Riley asked me, "Renee? Do you think I can be like Maya someday?"

"Honestly Riley, there's only one person who can be the best version of Maya. And that's Maya herself. You can't be like her even if you wanted to. Because you're Riley. And there can only be one kind of Riley. You're you. You have accept that." I advised her.

She looked at me in thought and then got up from my bay window. "Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. Goodnight Renee."

Riley left the room.

"You know, you're a good person to ask for advice." Brandon suddenly said with a soft smile on his face.

I smiled, "Thanks B."

We both finished our essays and then Brandon went to his and Alex's room to sleep. I went to sleep as well.

Cafeteria, Next day.

Renee's POV

I was sitting with Max, Aurora and Brandon on our usual table in the cafeteria. Riley and Maya sat on the one next to us, which was not too far and not too close.

Max was sitting on the seat in front of me while Aurora was beside me. Brandon was sitting in front of Aurora.

"Hey Nessie, I got you your favorite Strawberry Shortcake." Max said while handing the sweet to me. My heart melted. Max was always so considerate.

I smiled, "Thanks a lot, Max!" Aurora gave me a teasing nudge.

Suddenly Farkle came by and stood in between our table and Riley and Maya's table, "Ladies."

"Farkle." Riley, Maya and I chorused. The other three on my table invested themselves in a conversation.

"Interesting lunch line dilema." He turned to me, "Sloppy Joe." He turned to Maya, "Or chicken pot pie." He turned to Riley, "Or spaghetti."

He did the same thing again and then Maya said, "Is that all you got?"

"That's it! Same time tomorrow!" Farkle got up and left.

I joined in the conversation my friends were having.

"No! The Sorcerer's Stone is the best movie in the Harry Potter Franchise." Aurora argued.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked.

Brandon opened his mouth to explain, "Well basically Aurora here thinks that Sorcerer's Stone is the best movie in the HP Franchise but Max says that the The prisoner of Azkaban is the best. I think all of the HP movies are good."

I made an apalled face at that, "What, are you guys nuts? It's definitely The Goblet of Fire that's the best!" I said.

And we started the argument again with Brandon piping in about how pointless the argument was.

I laughed at something Max said and didn't notice his stare on me. But apparently someone else did.

"Oh hey, Max. Have you ever been to El Paso?" Dad came out if nowhere, dragging Lucas on a chair with him and asked Max, halting our ongoing debate.

"Nope. Why do you ask, Mr. Matthews?" Max answered, confused.

"We're going on a trip and you're coming with us." Dad said before dragging Max's chair along with Lucas's.

"Ugh....my dad is impossible." I smacked my head on the table as Aurora and Brandon laughed while the former patted my back as well.

Renee's POV

I was sitting in my usual seat again when I heard some shuffling from beside me. I looked and saw Max sitting back on his seat.

"Hi Max. Good to see you're back." I smiled at him. He did the same, "I'm glad to be back, Nessie."

Riley also greeted Lucas in a similar way.

"Hi. Apparently you both have a better sense of direction," Dad points to me and Riley as he continues, "then I anticipated." He said as Riley and I banged our heads on the desk and he gave Max and Lucas a 'I'm watching you' signal.

"You both are really good-looking guys." Dad said while narrowing his eyes at Max and Lucas before he addresses the class.

"Okay. So today we're going to find out if anybody here believes in something so strong, they'd fight for it. Maya." He looked at her.

"Yes sir." She replied.

"Present your homework." Dad demanded.

"Can't do that, Sir." I just knew that things were about to get bad.

"Why not?" Dad asked.

"Didn't do my homework, sir." Maya boldly replied.

"Why not?" I could tell that Dad's patience was wearing thin.

"That's what I'm fighting against, sir." She spoke up.

"Oh, this could go on for a while." Farkle says while putting on a sleeping mask, "Farkle Farkle Farkle. Farkle Farkle Farkle."

"I didn't do my homework, either." Riley piped in.

"Oh, really?" Dad and I asked her together. I knew she was lying as I had seen doing her homework last night.

"Yeah, we're the same, now. I don't believe in homework." She tried to reason with us.

Out of the blue Maya raises her hand, "I have something to say." Dad looked at her, surprised.

"Wow. I don't know what to do, I've never seen this before. The floor's yours, Ms. Hart."

Maya gets up from her seat and goes to Farkle's, "Get up Farkle. You're gonna wanna be awake for this." She pulled off his sleeping mask.

"Is it our honeymoon?" He asked while standing up. Oh, Farkle. He never learns, does he?

"No, you missed that. Now it's time to hand in our essays." Maya said.

"Oh! Farkle goes first! Farkle always goes first." He said and then left the class, presumably to get his project.

"Alright everybody who did their homework, put in on your desk." Maya collected everybody's homeworks, including mine, Aurora's, Brandon's and Max's. I raised an eyebrow. What was she planning to do with all that homework?

"Careful there, Ms. Hart." Dad warned while Riley asked Maya if she was sure.

"I got this." She said.

Farkle enters the classroom with his over-the-top looking project. He then starts explaining what his project was about, "The branding of Atlanta let to the end of the Civil War, and offered peace. I believe peace is worth fighting forโ€”hey that's a pivotal part of my diorama!" Farkle cut himself off when Maya picked off one sparkler from his project. She picked another one, ignoring Farkle's remark, "And there goes Virginia."

"The burning of the homework, led to the end of the Homework Rebellion, because there was no more homework." Maya says as she stood up on her desk and brought the sparkler closer to the bunch of papers in her hand.

"Maya, have you gone nuts?!" I shouted. I worked hard on that homework and I was not about to let her burn it to ashes in her stupid rebellion. Apparently Brandon had the same thoughts as he shouted, "That's our homework Maya! You don't have the rights to burn it just like that!"

"Yeah we worked hard on it, man!" Aurora shouted.

Max immediately stood up and snatched the papers from her hand. Meanwhile Dad tried to calm down a hyped up Maya.

"Alright. Alright, Maya. That's far enough. I get it." Dad took one of the sparklers out of her hand.

Maya started to chant along with some of the other classmates. Unknowingly she raises the other sparkler in her hand towards the sprinklers. The fire alarm was set off along with the sprinkler as water poured out.

Max came near me and held up his bag above both of us to shield us from the sprinkling water.

"Okay. So those work." Maya said, soaked in the water herself.

Everybody exits the room.

For some reason, when Max and I accidentally locked eyes, I couldn't look away.

"I'm just letting her be her." I heard and turned my attention to Riley.

I looked at my twin in disbelief. Had she not considered what I had said last night?

In a panicked frenzy Farkle climbed on my Dad' s shoulders. I looked behind me and saw Aurora and Brandon covering themselves with their own bags.

"Ms. Hart, you have detention. The principal will determine if it goes farther than that." Dad told Maya, struggling with Farkle on his shoulders.

"Ms. Matthews, please leave." Dad said while looking at Riley. He looked so angry and somewhat disappointed.

"I deserve detention too!" Riley defended.

"Exactly. And because you didn't do anything, you're bestfriend is in very big trouble. Farkle you can get down." Dad exclaimed.

"Well you're actually, quite comfortable sir."

"Thank you. Now, get off!" Dad yelled.

"Farkle isn't going anywhere!" Farkle tightened his grip on my Dad.

I put my wet books in my locker and turned around as I heard my father's voice from behind me. "Down, Farkle." The boy listens to him this time and gets off his back.

"You're looking at us pretty hard there, Mr. Matthews." Maya tried to joke. Seriously Maya, read the room.

"I just wanna stand by my girl." I rolled my eyes as Riley said that.

"You missed the moment to stand by your girl. You were so busy trying to be her, that you forgot the best thing you can do for her is be you. Riley take Farkle for a walk and Renee, go to the music room, it's time for your after school band practice."

Riley and I listened to our Dad and walked away.

I entered the music room where all our instruments were kept. I was a bit early so I just picked up my electric guitar and played around with it for a bit.

Soon enough, Max entered the room. Max was also a part of the band. He is the pianist and a sub-vocal. I'm the lead vocal and I play the electric guitar. The others in the band are Aurora, Brandon and another girl named Juliette. Juliette Lewis is currently on a vacation with her family. She is also one of my best friends. We both actually met at a Musical camp 2 summers ago. We've been inseparable ever since.

Aurora is our rhythmist and a sub-vocal. Juliette is the bassist while Brandon plays the drums.

I wrote songs for the band. So far we had a couple of good songs.

We all keep on exchanging instruments so that we can learn to play multiple instruments.

Max stood behind his piano which was on a stand. The others came in right then.

We started practicing.

Bleecker Street Subway Station, Next day

Renee's POV

Apparently Riley had managed to save Maya yesterday.

Currently Mom, Dad, Auggie, Alex, Riley, Maya, Aurora, Max, Brandon, Lucas, Farkle and I were at the Subway.

"Friends, Family, and all you subterranean mole people. We're here today, to celebrate Renee and Riley, being Renee and Riley." Dad said. My twin and I smiled at each other as we held each other's hands. "Now some may call this a New York City Subway pass. But you, Riley and Renee, may consider this a ticket to the world."

"You think we're ready?" Riley asked Dad.

"You showed us you are." Mom replied instead.

"Renee, Rose, I've already met the world. It's your turn." Dad handed us our cards as we smiled and took them.

"Hey, this isn't so different from Texas. Look there's a pony." Lucas said while looking around.

"That's a rat." Farkle corrected causing Lucas's eyes to widen.

"Ladies." Farkle greeted as Gretchen and her friends walked by, "Farkle." They replied as Farkle and Lucas both followed them. I rolled my eyes. Typical boys.

"So where do you wanna go?" Maya asked.

"Don't know. Big world." Riley answered.

"Ours now?" Aurora asked.

"Yeah, but Dad said we have to be home by 5." Riley said as I chuckled.

"Next stop, Astor Place, 14th Street, and the world."

After a few stops, we came back to the station we started. When the Subway doors opened, everybody was still there.

"You guys came back and waited for us?" Riley asked, shocked. I wasn't so surprised because I knew our parents would want to make sure of things before handing the world over to us.

"Hey, we told you we were always gonna be here for you both." Mom smiled.

"Yeah Riley, Renee. It's not so easy, handing over the world without making sure everything's gonna be okay." Dad explained.

We all hugged each other. Guess this was our world now, twin. I smiled at Riley as she did the same.
