"Come on," Hiro whispered to you and Baymax.
You follow him out of the garage, Baymax in tow and clad in his new armor. He waddled along behind the two of you, taking the route to the warehouse. After winding through the dark alleyways, you reached your destination, although without the realization of a vehicle following you.
You reached the door of the building and Baymax kicked it down. "Get him, Baymax!" Hiro ordered, but there was no activity inside.
"We're too late," you sighed. Hiro took the microbot from his pocket as it clanked on the side of the glass.
"Your tiny robot is trying to go somewhere," Baymax informed you.
"Come on." Hiro motioned for you to follow. You passed many large cargo crates, and, some time later, you reached the coastline. Hiro walked down a boardwalk, accompanied by you and your companion. Being too focused on the rustling bot, he was about to step off the edge until Baymax grabbed his sweatshirt just as he would've fell.
"Always wait one hour after eating before swimming," the robot reminded him.
The microbot began moving more and more recklessly, until it flew out of the container and into the distance. "Hey!" Hiro called.
You squinted through to thick fog and noticed a figure making its way back to land. "Come on!" Hiro grabbed your hand, and you felt the familiar fluttering in your stomach. He pulled you behind a crate and Baymax proceeded after. You peeked your heads out slightly from behind it.
The man in the mask had emerged from the fog, using the microbots to suspend above the water. The bots allowed him to snake onto the land, carrying a fragment of machinery behind him. Hiro nudged you back, out of sight.
"Your heart rate has increased dramatic—"
"Shh. Okay, Baymax. Time to use those upgrades." Baymax prepared himself, until suddenly, a light shone onto you.
You were illuminated by the headlights of a car and you shielded your eyes. Hiro stepped in front of you protectively.
Then, the people came out of the car, revealed to be the gang. "Hiro? (Y/N)?" they questioned.
"No, no, no!" Get out of here, go!" Hiro urged.
"Hey, what are you doing out here?" Wasabi asked.
"Nothing! Just out for a walk. Helps my pubescent mood swings.." Hiro stammered in response. You snicker.
"Is that Baymax?"
"Yeah, but you really—"
"Uh... why is he wearing carbon fiber underpants?" GoGo interjected.
"I also know karate."
"You guys really need to go," Hiro said, panicking.
"No, don't push us away, guys. We're here for you," Honey Lemon reassured. "That's why Baymax contacted us."
"Those who suffer a loss require support from friends and loved ones," Baymax reiterated.
"Okay, but we..." you tried to tell them.
"Who would like to share their feelings first?" Baymax inquired.
"Ooh, I'll go. Okay," Fred volunteered. He cleared his throat, "My name is Fred, and it has been thirty days since my last... holy mother of Megazon!" Everyone turned around to see a crate being lifted by microbots, the masked man behind it.
"Ah..."
"Am I the only one seeing this?"
Honey Lemon snapped a picture with a flash of her cellphone's camera.
You could sense the enemy's anger just before the package was thrown down. Everyone braced for impact, Hiro hovering over you defensively.
Wasabi screamed, "Ah! Oh my gosh! Oh, no!"
But the impact was never felt. You opened your eyes and came to realize that Baymax had held back the package.
"Go! Baymax, get him!" Hiro instructed. The rest of the gang ran back to the car, while Hiro stood in place you. Before joining the others, you dragged Hiro into the car with you.
"No! No, no, no, no! What are you doing?" Hiro asked.
"I'm saving your life!" you replied. "For the second time."
It was quite squished in the backseat, you were in between Honey and Fred, practically in Hiro's lap. Wasabi started the engine.
"Baymax can take that guy!" Hiro protested.
Just then, you watched as Baymax was hurled through the air. He landed on the car, denting the top in the process. "Oh, no," he said.
"Wasabi...!" Honey urged.
"Ah, goodbye!" Wasabi turned the car around and began driving away.
"Hiro. (Y/N). Explanation. Now," GoGo demanded.
"He stole our microbots, he started the fire, w-we don't know who he is!"
A second later, a cluster of microbots came rocketing towards the car. "Baymax, palm-heel strike!" you called out. Baymax obeyed, keeping the microbots from hitting you, sending the car spinning at the same time.
You regained composure and drove down the streets, the attacker not far behind. "Hard left!" GoGo directed, and Wasabi turned abruptly. This almost caused you to fall over —like how Fred face planted into the window— but Hiro pulled you close to his chest. You rested your arms on top of his to brace yourself.
A few moments of driving later, Fred observed the man from the rear window. "That mask, the black suit... we're under attack from a super villain, people!" he exclaimed. "I mean, how cool is that? I mean, it's scary, obviously. But how cool!"
Suddenly, the vehicle screeched to a halt.
"Why are we stopped?" GoGo asked.
"The light's red!" Wasabi panicked.
"There are no red lights in a car chase!" GoGo barked. The light turned green and the car darted forward once more.
"Why is he trying to kill us?" Wasabi wondered. "Um, why are you trying to kill us?" he yelled out the open window.
"It's classic villain, we've seen too much!" Fred inferred.
"Let's not jump to conclusions," Honey Lemon suggested, trying to be optimistic. "We don't know he's trying to kill us."
"Car!"
"He's trying to kill us!" Honey decided.
A car was lobbed at you and Wasabi swerved out of the way.
"Did you just put your blinker on?" GoGo retorted.
"You have to indicate your turn. It's the law!"
"That's. It." She stuck her gum on the dashboard, climbing over Wasabi into the driver's seat. You quickly moved into the passenger's seat to acquire more personal space.
The car practically rocketed forward, turning sharp corners, exceeding the previous speed a little too much for Wasabi's liking. GoGo could maneuver the car very well, escaping fatal situations with seemingly impossible actions.
"Stop the car," Hiro insisted, climbing over you to reach the passenger door. "Baymax and I can take this guy—!"
"Hiro!"
The door came unlatched, sending Hiro out into the road. Baymax caught him once again, his face inches from the pavement passing by. The robot helped him back into the car so that he shared the seat with you.
"Seat belts save lives," Baymax told him, fastening the two of you down, "buckle up, every time."
The car continued to bounce along the road and eventually you came across a train track, which, conveniently, had a train about to cross. Instead of stopping, GoGo accelerated and switched gears, turning sideways and hopping over the track just before the gates closed. Your hand found Hiro's and you held it tightly.
The two of you looked out through the empty space where the door once was and spotted the enemy. But, you then turned a corner, and he was no longer in sight.
"Did we lose him?" Honey questioned.
"Look out!" It had seemed it for a moment, but then an assemblage of microbots cut you off course. They formed a tunnel around the vehicle, slowly closing in at the end.
"Baymax, hold on!" You squeezed Hiro's hand as you gripped the side of the seat.
"We're not gonna make it," Wasabi worried.
"We're gonna make it," Honey insisted.
"We're not gonna make it."
"We're gonna make it."
"We're not gonna make it!"
"We're gonna make it!"
GoGo burst through the end of the tunnel of bots. "We made it!" Wasabi cheered as you sped down the boardwalk. Unfortunately, the gang didn't realize they were heading towards the water, and GoGo hit the brakes a moment too late.
The car crashed into the water and started drifting down. The tires hit the sand and water flooded into the car. After taking a couple of final breaths, the team looked around in panic. You and Hiro struggled to unbuckle the seat belt, but then you both noticed Baymax's armor sinking to the sand.
The inflatable robot scooped up the gang and floated to the surface. Everyone gasped and coughed for air. Baymax lay afloat on his back, providing support for everyone as they caught their breath. You were leaning on Baymax, your hand accidentally under Hiro's, but he didn't bother to move it.
"I told you we'd make it!" Honey said.
"Your injuries require my attention. And your body temperatures are low," Baymax stated.
"We should get out of here," you suggested.
Fred piped up, "I know a place."
