𝐗𝐗𝐈.
CILLIAN MUPRHY
I stir awake as my eyes flutter open. A familiar view registers in my mind as the late night's memories invade my mind. "I am yours and you are mine." My heart flutters at the memory, reminding myself that Diana Nolan had become my official girlfriend. She is my girlfriend and I am her boyfriend. That thought warms my soul as I glance aside to look at her peaceful face. I tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, causing her to stir awake. I watch her turn on her back before she opens her eyes. It takes several moments before she glances aside and meets my eyes. Her forehead creases as she stares in my eyes.
"I am not dreaming, am I?" she questions. Her morning voice is raspy and sexy. A chuckle escapes my throat, laying my hand on her cheek. "And if you are?" I question with amusement. "Then it is a good dream," she murmurs, her eyes not leaving mine. "Then you should kiss me to test that theory," I suggest with a small smile.
"I would gladly give you a kiss, however, it wouldn't make a difference," she replies, crawling closer. She retains eye contact as she plants her lips on mine. I watch her close her eyes as I automatically copy her. A warm feeling spreads across my body while my hand moves to the back of her head. All caught up in the moment, I gently move her to her back as I move on top of her. I leave a trail of kisses down to her jawline, directing to her neck. She turns her head, allowing me to kiss her bare neck.
I am caught in a conflict within myself, because I am taking the lead however, I want her to lead. I don't want to force her into anything, just because I cannot control myself. That doesn't mean that she is driving me to the edge as she lets out a soft moan. She fucking moans with a kiss on her neck. Let alone that I fu... Never mind.
"Cillian," she moans. Tell me to stop. Tell me to fucking stop or I will swear to God. "Tell me to stop," I hiss through my teeth. "Because I do not know if I can hold back." I pull away and my hands cup her face. I need her to look at me. "What if... I don't want you to stop?" she questions, but I notice a hint of hesitation. I take a deep breath, trying to push down the burning desire. "How about we take a step further once your knee is safe enough for us that we don't accidentally hurt it," I suggest and I visibly see frustration in her eyes.
"I want you to have the best experience possible," I explain. "Which is possible once there is no chance in harming your knee. I can tell that it takes every vessel in my body to prevent myself from taking you here and right now." There I said it. I said it out loud. Something flashes in her eyes, too quick for me to see what it was. Her leg hooks around mine and she pulls me out of balance. She straddles me as a sharp hiss escapes her lips. Even though, it is fucking hot I assume it is her knee. She lays on top of me with a grimace on her face.
"I told you, love," I whisper, my hand behind her head. "Once your knee is healed or not this vulnerable a state and you are ready to take the step further, then we go into full experience." I press my lips on her jawline before gently laying her on her back. "Is it your knee?" I question softly, to which she nods. "Do I need to get some ice?" She again nods.
I leave the bed and head downstairs. I meet Christopher downstairs with a mug that says: Best dad❤️. "Goodmorning, Cillian," he smiles. "Did she say yes?" I scowl as I look at him with a puzzled expression. How does he know? "To what if I may ask?" I ask genuinely confused. "If she said yes to become your girlfriend," he speaks with a smile. HOW DOES HE KNOW? "Don't be so blue boy," he scolds. "A man never travels back from his work which is on the other side of the world, only for him to 'ask her a question'." Oh. I pout my lips before I answer: "She did say yes." Christopher laughs as he walks up to me to shake my hand. "Welcome to the family, son." Son. There it is again. Son. I send him a smile before walking up to the freezer.
"What do you need?" he questions, about to leave the kitchen. "Diana made an impulsive motion in which her knee bent too far," I explain, and more he doesn't need to know. "And now she needs something to cool for the swelling." "Ah, we have the ice packs in the third drawer," he instructs before leaving the kitchen. I open the freeze and grab an icepack from the third drawer. I snatch a towel from the counter on my way back to Diana's room.
I cautiously lay the icepack on her knee, hoping I don't hurt as much. She does hiss, but it can be the cold. She flinches and closes her eyes, breathing in and out. "Sorry," I mutter. "It's okay," she breathes. "It was my fault anyways." I let out a sigh as I sit next to her on the bed, pulling her close to me.
"You were caught in the moment," I explain. "It is more than natural that you wanted more and here I sit, explaining this as if I wasn't feral for you just a couple of moments go." A chuckle ripples from her throat. "I think I was ready," she explains, using her hands. "It is something in your touch that makes my body react this way."
"You need to be careful with that," I mention. "I can tickle you while you might not like it, however, your body will react nonetheless. I am flattered that my touch has a certain effect on you, but I need you to be sure." "I am sure that I want this intimacy with you, because I trust you," she says. "But you are right, this stupid knee needs to heal." She gestures to her knee with both hands. "You'll be alright, mo ghràdh."
"What does mo ghràdh mean?" she eventually questions. She glances over her shoulder to look at me. "It is an Irish slash Scottish term of endearment, meaning my love," I explain. Her eyebrows draw together as her eyes show an expression I cannot place. However, her face tells me she finds it ... adorable? Precious? Cute? "That sounds beautiful," she replies. "I don't have a term of endearment for you," she adds, causing me to chuckle. "You do not need to," I say. I actually like the way my name rolls of her tongue. She makes my name feel special. "Hmm," she murmurs. She will be thinking of one now.
"How is your knee?" I question. She removes the ice pack and easily raises in the air. It is her way of easily checking, instead of bending forward. "That's one way to do that," I mutter. She ignores my comment as she inspects her knee. "It looks alright," she states. "I may walk for half an hour a day. So, yeah. Shall we get some breakfast?"
''What shall we do today?'' she questions. ''Since it is your last day before you leave to America.'' I keep in mind that her birthday is around the corner. ''Perhaps we can celebrate your birthday earlier than normal? Since I am not sure if I can make it,'' I reply. I notice the way her eyes shine as soon as I requested this suggestion.
"I like that idea, keep going," she smiles. "What would you like to do?" I question. Her eyes avert from mine as she turns her head to the calendar on the fridge. "I do have practice today," she mentions and before she can finish her sentence, I speak: "I don't mind to watch, if your coach is fine with it." I meet her eyes and it makes my heart flutter. She is happy with the suggestion. "It will not be as exciting as the competition," she warns but I shrug. "I will surely enjoy."
"What do you enjoy doing?" I question. She purses her lips as she thinks. "I enjoy taking walks, reading books uh — Perhaps I will take her to dinner — I enjoyed the museum, I enjoy a picnic or just cozy on the couch," she replies. Can I manage to combine those in a day? "What are you thinking?" Her voice pulls me out of my train of thought. "I'm trying to make a planning of the day," I reply. "But I will not be sharing that with you, my lady." Her eyes widen, her eyebrow rose and her head she tilted.
"How mysterious." She rises to her feet and cautiously puts down her foot. My eyes flicker between her knee and her face, keeping an eye on her. She slowly head to the stairs as I stalk behind her. I must admit, seeing her putting pressure on knee makes me feel anxious or something in that direction. On the way to her room, we cross paths with Christopher who questions if Diana needs a ride to the gym. "Cillian is coming with me," she replied and then I met Chris' eyes. A smile graced his lips as he remained silent.
I sit on the bed as I watch her do her make up. Her hair is wrapped in a neat ponytail. I definitely want to take her out for dinner. Perhaps we could visit a jewellery for some kind of promise ring? I glance around her room and I take notice of a dressoir with some necklaces and rings on it. Perfect. After practice, we head home for her to freshen up. Then I think we should take a stroll through the forest or park and get something to drink afterwards. We could also visit Waterstones or Foyles. Cillian. And then we visit the jewellery store.
"Cillian." My name echoes through my head and I wonder why. I blink and I snap out of my daydream. My eyes fix on Diana, who now stands in front of my nose. My eyes meet hers, the corners of my mouth tug into a smile as my hands grab her waist to pull on my lap. "You were deep in thought," she mentions. "What were you thinking of? Or is that top secret?" She boops my nose as a chuckle ripples from my throat. "My thought of you never end," I reply and I peck her lips. "And it is indeed top secret." She hums in disapproval and disappointment. I press my lips on hers and it makes my heart flutter to feel her smile into the kiss. I pull away and look her in the eyes. "Better?" She remains silence however, her smile grows wider as she leans in and kisses me once again. I am in love with this woman.
"Cate," I hear Diana say. "Is it alright if Cillian watches along? Since it would be useless for him to drive home and most likely return once he is home." I tilt my head and nod, good argument. I look at the two women and I meet Cate's eyes. She then nods and walks up to me with a smile on her face.
"Hello, I'm Cate. I'm Diana's coach," she smiles and shakes my hand. "Hello, I'm Cillian," I smile. "You are welcome to watch, it is not something we allow often but in Diana's case... She will not be here full practice, so it is alright," she clarifies and it is understandable. I nod before casting a glance at Diana before heading up to the seats. I'm not that far away from everything but I could see everything.
I watch the ladies do their warming up as Diana takes a place on the floor and starts swinging her arms. I betray myself for only looking at Diana and since she is my girlfriend, hahah, I'm allowed to? Calling Diana is a wonderful thing.
Diana said I would end up bored after an hour, but I was everything but bored. It was actually quite interesting how a practice is proceeding. Diana isn't doing much, more of strength exercises but the other ladies, I assume what Diana would have been doing. I took notice of the often eye contact we share and it made me smile.
"Would you like to get home and catch a shower before we continue your mysterious day?" I question with a chuckle. "Hmm yeah, I don't know what mysterious things you have planned — as my chuckle continues at her words — but I'm sure they are more elegant than joggings," she replies. She is right about that though. "Clever woman," I wink and start the car.
"Weren't you bored at some point during practice?" she questions after a silence. "Nope," I answer, popping the 'p'. "It was interesting to see how a practice works." "Okay, good," she answers with a smile as if she was concerned that I was bored. "It allowed me think about your day full of surprises," I add. She opens her mouth and gasps. "You are the worst," she giggles.
"Everything for my girlfriend," I wink with a smirk on my face. I enjoy using the term girlfriend, because she is my girlfriend.
We drive back home and I sit on her bed while Diana is changing into different clothes. She is wearing black pants with a white blouse tucked into it. She pulls a black spencer over it. She looks beautiful. She is beautiful. "How do I look?" she questions, hesitating her choice of clothing. "You look divine, my lady," I speak and it is true. She is dressed classy and elegantly, I watch the smile form on her face once she realises I like her outfit.
"I'm ready," she beams with a smile. She once again stands in front of me. I repeat the movement and grab her waist to pull her onto my lap. "I have a sense of a deja vu," she chuckles. "Is that so?" I chuckle, nuzzling her nose. I feel her hands cup my face before I feel her lips on mine. I chuckle, letting myself consume into the kiss.
"As much as I enjoy you on my lap, we have a schedule to follow," I chuckle, pulling away. She pulls away to look me in the eyes. "Fine," she whispers and presses a short kiss on my lips. She rises to her feet as I follow her downstairs. I hold the door from both the front door as the door to my car.
"What are you planning, Cillian?" she questions with an amused tone. I start the engine before we drive away. "Something shining pleasant," I hint, flickering my eyes to her for a brief moment. "Shining," she mutters and scoffs. "You are impossible." I chuckle as I drive toward the parking lot of my destination.
"Cillian," she breathes, glancing over her shoulder. "What are we doing in a jewellery store?" I flash her a smile as my first surprise is revealed. "I have chosen to buy you a ring to your preference for your birthday and the start of our relationship," I clarify. She clasps her hand to her mouth.
"Cillian," she speaks softly. "You shouldn't have." I send her a warm smile as I guide her to the first window. "I insist. You may choose a ring for yourself and me," I say. She gasps as she averts her eyes from the rings. "For you and me?" she questions. "One for you, one for me."
Diana and I tested loads of rings. She has chosen my ring, which is a stainless steel, twisted ring. "I think I want this one," she mutters, looking at the twisted ring but with a small white jewels in it. "Because it matches very well." "It looks cute," the woman who assists us says. "What you think?" she questions. I lay my hand next to hers and speak my mind: "I find it quite a statement for ourselves. I mean, it is an adorable look." She averts her eyes from our hands to the woman, "I will take this one."
Our rings shine around our fingers as I guide us to a fancy restaurant. "Thank you," Diana says. "For the ring." I send her a smile as I meet her gaze. "The next time I will give you a ring, I will go down to one knee," I smile. She glances away, probably blushing at my comment. It is adorable.
"Do you have something else planned?" she questions. "I do," I answer before gesturing to the restaurant. "And how to finish a day with a dinner." An amused sigh leaves her lips, shaking her head. "The man you are, Cillian Murphy." "Anything for my girl."
⸻
"Good morning, you are speaking with Cillian," I greet. "I would like, yes good morning, I would like to question you something." "Enlighten me, sir," the woman's voice echoes through my ears. I suck a breath before popping the question: "Is it possible to deliver a bouquet of flowers on March sixteenth?"
"Of course, sir. To whom we may send this bouquet?" I glance at the view from out the plane as a smile tugs at the lips. "For my girlfriend, Diana Nolan."
