' My past?' A dry chuckle left Jungkook as he leaned back on his hands... 'Tae.... there is a phrase that perfectly describes my life... You know what it is?'

Taehyung frowned but shook his head

' Royally Fucked' Jungkook scoffed ' That's what my life is...I don't have much memories of my childhood.... Scratch that I don't even remember the face of my eomma and appa.... I could never bring myself to look at any of those portraits of the Great King Daewon and his Luna Hyein...who ruled Mirawik once...every time I think of them..I get drowned in a sea of guilt...'

' It's ok if you don't want to continue Koo-'.

' We will heal from the start Tae' Jungkook smiled ' I was one hell of a kid...and eomma was scared to let me go out alone... scared not of my safety but of the people of Mirawik...' Jungkook chuckled ' One day I sneaked out without anyone seeing me and ended up breaking all the pots of an ajumma who was selling it...I have a vague memory of appa trying to scold me and eomma hugging me close...We were a happy family...me..my hyungs...sana noona and Jihoon and Sehun... These two are actually my cousins from my mother's side and their parents died while they were small kids...and since then they are with us... '

Jungkook lied down on the grass ' It was a week before my fourth birthday...am not much sure about the details...but that was the time when we found out that I can control an element...or specifically the fire.... I was drawing..more like scribbling.. it was the time when Junghyun had finally agreed for the peace treaty and appa was elated...he wanted to renovate the temple...so I was scribbling something telling that it's going to be the new look of the temple.... I have a faint picture of Jin hyung teasing me about how it looked more like a ruined hut than a temple.. and somehow I ended up burning the papers on which I was drawing and was crying my eyes out hurt by the fact that Jin hyung teased me and my drawings burnt..'

Taehyung moved closer as he raked his fingers through the alpha's hair

' Appa and eomma had sent for the supreme witch and warlock Minauri and Haeran...but they were in the middle of some rituals and asked appa to hold a grand celebration for my and Jin's birthday... Many kingdoms were invited for the celebration which marked the day that ruined my life...a day which I can't forget not matter whatever I do'

Taehyung laid down beside Jungkook who was quick enough to wrap his hand around the younger's waist as he continued ' We all were too happy...me and Jin hyung were excited beyond limits because our wolves will start reacting and we could transform soon..
That's when Junghyun came...he seemed to be a nice guy...and appa was happily talking to him..he even introduced us to Junghyun who oh so lovingly took my hyung in his arms.. playing with him... Appa and eomma were happy as Junghyun had agreed to start the moon festival again forgetting the rivalry and appa told me that he will let me redesign it once I grow up... But me being the idiot blurted out what if I burn the papers again and that seemed to get Junghyun's attention... Eomma somehow diverted his attention from the topic but Junghyun was a sly man'

' Wh-what did he do?' Taehyung asked..his gut churning

' He approached me as soon as I was left alone with Jin and Namjoon....Sana noona was with her eomma and Namjoon hyung's eomma Soyoon ajumma and  Joon's appa Jisan ajusshi who was the royal advisor and the second in command of Mirawik was all busy with something else... Junghyun sent Jihoon and Sehun to call eomma appa and in that gap he asked what I was talking about before and I excitedly told him that I can control fire... He played along and said that moon goddess will punish me for lying and he won't believe it unless I show him... I showed him the sparks that played on my fingertips...that was all I was capable of doing voluntarily...but he kept on provoking me and I was so angry that I said that I can make a bigger fire and he pointed towards the decorations that were hanging above my hyungs...and my anger gave away and came the biggest flames I have ever seen...

The flowers caught on fire more faster that anything else and havoc was created... people rushed here and there inorder to save their lives as the palace was set ablaze by their very own young prince Jeon Jungkook'

Taehyung's breath hitched at the bitterness in Jungkook's voice as he continued

' Junghyun was not seen anymore and I didn't know what to do... The decorations started falling down on people..some of them getting hurt.. someone of them getting burnt down to ashes...Eomma kept yelling and begging at me to calm down as my emotions had a bigger effect on the fire..the more scared I am..bigger the flames...but I couldn't do any of that and my whole world stopped when I saw Namjoon and Jin hyung in the middle of some burning wood or something.... Soyoon ajumma took Sana noona Jihoon hyung and Sehun out and Jisan ajusshi helped the other pups out... Appa and eomma who were also trapped in the fire on the other side of Jin and Namjoon hyung struggled to find a way out towards their kids....
My clothes were on fire and somehow eomma reached near me with a blanket wrapping it around me.. picking me up...she held me closer hiding me from the heat even after knowing that the sparks won't even touch me... Appa somehow took Namjoon out...and eomma handed me over to Joon's appa... followed ny me...Jin hyung was still in the fire and was crying hard... He was scared but Soyoon ajumma pulled him out... They all were going to come out when the wooden panels started falling... Someone took us all out of the palace...the air was filled with fumes and screams.... I was still in Jisan ajusshi's arms when I saw the panel falling on appa... Eomma and Soyoon ajumma ran in trying to get the log out... Jisan ajusshi... handed me over to Jihoon hyung..as he tried to rush in when something in the palace exploded... throwing Jisan ajusshi out... The whole Mirawik froze when they saw the fire engulfing their King and Queen... I kept on wailing and crying thrashing to be let free till I passed out....and when I woke up all that left were just ashes'

Taehyung's heart clenched at the broken voice of his mate...he propped himself on his elbow as he kissed off the tears that fell from his alpha's eyes.... Jungkook pulled Taehyung into his chest burying his head onto the crook of the omega's neck as he cried.... Taehyung held him in his arms letting him cry his pain off... With each broken sob that left Jungkook's mouth...the hatred in Taehyung's heart for his father grew....

' Y-you know Tae...' Jungkook spoke up again ' There was someone who also died in that fire'

Taehyung frowned ' What?'

' I don't thi-think I'll be able to talk about him now....he was so important to me and Jin hyung.... He used to pamper me a lot...called me his little prince'

Taehyung's own cheeks were by now stained with tears...he knew that the alpha was hurting all this while but never knew that he was this deep in pain....

Suddenly a realization hit him.. the day on which Taehyung heard Jungkook's truth he had called him a monster who killed his own parents.... without even knowing how sensitive of a topic it was for his alpha...

' Am sorry Koo... Am sorry for calling you a monster that day' Taehyung cried..guilt filling his chest ' But you are so strong...so brave' He kissed his forehead 'You are so good'

' No am not....if I had listened to eomma and calmed down..maybe they would have been able to put out the fire'

' Don't blame yourself bun' Taehyung lifted his head looking at the elder as he caressed his cheeks ' It was not your fault....you were young'

' I was young...so was Jin hyung' Jungkook continued ' Appa wanted to start the renovation of the temple but what started was the reconstruction of the palace... and along with that started the council's need for the next king....me and Jin hyung were just five when the palace was finally reconstructed and by then the council had started proposing to make Jihoon hyung the next king... Hyung is ten years elder than me...and he was a royal so the council members were ready to have him as the ruler.... But Jisan ajusshi was strictly against it.. saying that they can wait till Jin hyung grows up.... A lot of discussion and fights broke out just because of that topic with me Jin and Namjoon listening to them cluelessly... Sana noona was with us... looking after us..even Sehun was with me...he was my best friend...he was so different from how he is now... Things continued like that and Jihoon hyung was almost the king but then the villagers said their views...their decision that shook the royals for the second time'

Taehyung wiped off the tears that was leaving Jungkook's moist orbs...' What decision?'

' The decision to exile me from the kingdom'

Taehyung stopped breathing for a second ' What?'

'People who saw my powers blamed me for killing their Alpha and Luna...they said that some devil like me who is capable of bringing death shouldn't be allowed to be in Mirawik.... It was the day when a six year old alpha prince was named the Death of Mirawik or as the people say The Merikh'

Taehyung sat up...not being able to hear anymore....how can people be this cruel. He pulled the alpha up.. making his sit as he climbed on his lap... hiding his head in his chest as he cried ' You were so young Kookie....they shouldn't do that...why are people so heartless...'

Jungkook smiled softly at the innocent being on his lap who was crying for his pains... ' Look here pup' He said making Taehyung look up as he pecked his forhead

' I hate them' Taehyung said as Jungkook wiped his tears ' Then what happened?'

' I was called to the throne room... people shouted at my face...yelled to send the Merikh on exile...a word which was new to me... Jihoon hyung tried his best to calm them down...but no one listened..and then my Jin hyung stepped in... He was already aware of the people's decision from Namjoon hyung's appa and had already prepared for this day... Jin hyung walked up to the throne..and announced his decision to take up the throne...the whole Mirawik froze seeing a six year old who didn't even know the basics of ruling.. declaring himself aa the next ruler.. The people along with the Ministers refused but then Jisan ajusshi reminded them of a rule... A rule that states that in any circumstances the current king dies..then his eldest son is the one to take the throne no matter what the age.. if the son is willing to do it himself... And thus the people had to shut their mouth and succumb to the decision... That day Jin hyung was considered the next king and his first royal order was to never mention about exiling me again...and the one's to bring that topic up would be beheaded... '

Jungkook sighed ' That day began Jin hyung's training for being the next king... Jihoon hyung was sent to the werewolves of Arryn as he wanted to be a warrior...he took Sehun along with him..and Me Jin Joon and Sana noona were left here.... Finally after five years Jin hyung was crowned the king at the age of eleven... The king who was loved by the whole of Mirawik... It was after his coronation that Jisan ajusshi told us the story behind the temple and the rivalry between Alwarak and Mirawik...and it was then that I understood what Junghyun did years back... He made me a medium to end his enemies..he didn't want to restart the rituals at the temple and knew that his refusal would lead to a war and he..just to avoid that killed my parents... without getting his hands stained'

Jungkook looked at Taehyung whose eyes were swollen now ' You know Taehyung... The time when I understood everything you were a small kid of mere five or six....but you were widely known as the Forbidden treasure of Alwarak...and we all used to think that you got that name because Junghyun kept you safe inside the palace just like a treasure.... And I was so blinded with rage and revenge that I told Namjoon and Jin hyung the whole truth and my wish to wipe out the existence of anything that is dear to Junghyun... Namjoon hyung too agreed to take the revenge for his eomma's death and we agreed on killing the Eldest prince of Alwarak... But hyung was against that idea... We three had a fight and for the first time after years I let my powers out.... the fire hitting my Jin hyung.. burning his whole hand.... Eunwoo's appa was the pack doctor who came rushing to the palace... looking after my hyung...after a week of treatment and medicines Hyung woke up... People still wanted to throw me out of the kingdom for hurting Jin hyung but they were scared for their lives... They called me a curse.. saying that wherever I go... whoever I get close with will be dead...and since that day I have never allowed anyone to be anywhere close to me...I had built walls around not only my heart..but also around my body... I have never known what a touch is...what the warmth of a hug is until I met you Tae.... I have craved to he held...I have craved for a shoulder to cry on...I have craved for someone to wipe my tears off when I cry...I have craved for someone to cuddle me to sleep...I have craved for someone to hold me tight... calming me down when I have nightmares... But I was too scared to be anywhere near anyone...too scared to hurt anyone...'

Taehyung lunged forward clinging on to Jungkook 'You will never miss this warmth again Jungkook....you will never have to crave for all those anymore... You don't have to be sacred anymore...You have me...your Alora who will wrap you up in all the love of this world..who will shower you with hugs and kisses..just like this'

Taehyung started peppering kisses on Jungkook's face..on his eyes nose cheeks making the alpha chuckle... He sat back properly on his lap and said 'You were too young to go through all these...am so proud of how brave you were all these years.. and now I can't even blame you for hating me'

' No Tae..no...I never hated you' Jungkook was quick to say ' I did hate the prince of Alwarak but not you'

' What?'

' I used to get night mares...I still get but one day I saw a dream... A dream of a beautiful silver haired boy playing in a field of roses just like how I saw the prince of Alwarak for the first time in our Arcane' Jungkook smiled ' When I said that you were the dream that kept me awake...I was not joking my Alora... I have seen you a million times in my dreams....I have loved you even before I saw you in our Arcane.. I had fallen head over heels for the boy whose giggles were the lullaby that lulled me to sleep...'

Taehyung gasped hearing that...' You really s-saw me?'

' Arcane was a place I found out when I ran away from the palace after a fight with Joon... And since then every night I go there...and it was the place where I first saw you in my dreams...And I kept going there every night just to meet you in my dreams...But Tae...the day you finally walked into my Arcane my world flipped'

PAST

Jungkook was lying at his usual place in between the trees waiting for sleep to reach him when he heard a deep voice humming some song...

He stood up slowly and peeked out from in between the tall grasses and saw a boy running down the valley with giggles filling the air...but his eyes widened when he saw how the whole place was now blooming with flowers as the boy ran down... stopping by the river...

Jungkook stood up moving a bit to the side and that's when he noticed the silver locks...his heart skipping a beat when he heard the beautiful giggles from the boy...very familiar giggles at that

He stepped out of the trees looking at the boy whose back was facing him...

' This looks like some abandoned kingdom'

He heard the boy mumble as he slowly started taking small steps.... Jungkook was so eager on seeing his face that he didn't know how he stumbled into the water making a big rippling sound

His eyes widened when he saw the boy freezing on his steps... Jungkook was quick to jump out of the water and ran behind a big rock.. hiding behind it

'Anybody there?' The boy asked turning around a bit and Jungkook transformed into his wolf and ran towards the other side of the river from where he would get a clear view of the boy

Jungkook hid behind the tall grass on the side of the dome...and raised his head up.. looking at the boy only to have his world stop..for there in the river.. playing with the water was the boy who had been in his heart for over a year now.... The same boy of his dreams whom he had started to love....

He stared at the beautiful creature whose silver locks bounced as the he jumped through the water.. playing with it..his eyes travelled towards the bread cheeks which looked soo squish able...those rosy lips...softer than any rose petals..and those azure orbs which could take away anyone's breath in an instant

The happy giggles of the omega playing with among the flowers brought a big smile onto Jungkook's face who was about to step out into the clearing when he heard something he wished he didn't have...

' Finally the omega prince of Alwarak Prince Kim Taehyung is out alone' The boy yelled happily as the smile vanished into thin air from Jungkook's face... His mind getting messed up... cursing his own fate as he plopped down onto the grass

' Eomma'

Oh that voice...how much has Jungkook craved for hearing that voice in reality...and finally when the day came..things took such a turn...

Jungkook was still in thoughts when he felt a change inthe omega's scent which had been getting on his senses since the moment the boy stepped in... He frowned as he looked at the boy who was laying on the ground in between the flowers

'Eomma.. your son is an idiot... Look how he is here. in the middle of some place.. seeking for answers to questions which I even don't know how to ask... Just because someone told me? See how your son is desperate for his appa's love... I just wish he will love me once he realizes that am no ordinary male omega.... that am no disgrace instead..am-'

Disgrace? Jungkook tilted his head Desperate for his appa's love? But we thought that he was his appa's favorite...

Jungkook's frown deepened when he saw how some of the flowers withered the instant the omega's tears fell on them... His attention was again grabbed by a dry chuckle

'But I don't regret coming here... This place gave me a sense of security that nothing ever gave me....the calming scent of amber that is covering me is enough to make me feel treasured..' A sad smile was quick to take it's place on the omega's face.. 'Treasure.... Yeah... Forbidden Treasure'

He definitely is the Forbidden treasure....but...is there any other meaning to that... Did we misunderstood the name? But all his thoughts..all his movements stilled when he heard what the Prince said next

' I hope someday I'lI find someone who will see me as a living being and not as some disgrace or a forgotten myth... I should head back now... it's already dawn and I don't want to get beaten up by appa'

Jungkook stared at the retreating back of the omega who walked out of the Arcane..

Disgrace? Forgotten Myth? What is all this about? I need to find that out soon

Jungkook was again back at the Arcane.... He was not sure if Taehyung would come today also...but a small hope.. somewhere deep in him made him wait for the omega and he was proved right when the he saw the happy prince skipping down his way.....

Even though Jungkook wanted to love the being in front of him..he held back his feelings or more like the hunger for revenge held him back

But when he saw Taehyung crouching down beside some blue flowers and talking to them about his family and his Jimin with a wide smile Jungkook felt getting lost in those shining orbs...but his when he heard how Tae was treated by his appa..he felt his blood boiling...

I was not the only one whose life was ruined by Junghyun Jungkook thought as he saw the omega leaving

Jungkook rushed back to the palace only to run into Jin and Namjoon on the way...

' What?' Jungkook asked when he saw the way Jin was looking at him

' Are you hiding something Kook?' Jin raised a brow

' Shut up' He rolled his eyes ' Why are you both up now?..I thought you'd be asleep'

' Actually a le-'

' No specific reason' Namjoon shrugged as if he just didn't cut Jin midsentence

Jungkook just nodded and was about to go in when

' Little Prince' Jin called making the alpha suck in a sharp breath

' Don't' Jungkook growled ' Don't call me that!'

' Only he used to call me that hyung...And only he can ever call me that again' Jungkook glared at them before dashing in

A whole week had passed with Taehyung talking about himself to the flowers and flies of the Arcane and Jungkook sneakily listening to them...and he was hella sure that he had fallen for this certain omega..who just happened to be the son of his arch enemy

Jungkook was scared...too scared honestly... Many things occupied his mind making everything a mess as he walked into Wahjin's shop

' Prince' Wahjin bowed... Wahjin.. Eunwoo's uncle was one of the few people who honestly cared for Jungkook

' Hello Wahjin shi... I'll take the usual' Jungkook said and walked in only to see Eunwoo sitting there with a glass of wine

Wahjin walked in with some drinks.. setting it down on the table ' Eunwoo...am going home early today...close the shop after our Prince leaves ok?'

They both sat in silence... until Eunwoo had enough

' Do you want to talk about something?' Eunwoo looked at the alpha prince

' No' Jungkook blinked before drinking his whole glass up

Eunwoo just nodded as he kept sipping on his wine...lost in some thoughts and he has no idea when he fell asleep until he woke up to something poking his shoulder

Eunwoo blinked his sleep off and looked around only to see Jungkook looking at him..with his head resting on his palm and an empty bottle in his other hand...his cheeks were flushed red and a stupid grin adorned his lips

Is he drunk? Eunwoo thought and his doubt was cleared soon enough when

' Eunwoo' Jungkook hiccuped as he crawled towards the other alpha ' You a-are my best friend right?'

' Am your friend?' Eunwoo's eyes widened...all his life he had craved to hear that from the alpha prince

' Jeon Jungkook' Eunwoo called..a smug smile decorating his face ' Who got you so whipped my Prince?' Eunwoo asked not having any idea of the bomb Jungkook was going to drop

' You want to know?' Jungkook asked...his doe eyes wide

' Yes' Eunwoo nodded

' But don't tell anyone' Jungkook said with his forefinger over his lips

' I won't' Eunwoo chuckled at the cuteness of the usually cold alpha as he mirrored his action

' Kim Taehyung? Why does it sound so familia- waittt!! Don't tell m-' Eunwoo couldn't even process everything when Jungkook continued
