Jaewan wandered through the streets of Mirawik...the night here is more lively and cheerful than that in Alwarak... He missed this place..it never did cross his mind to visit his home kingdom even once

Jaewan was deep in thoughts when he felt a hand tapping on his shoulder.. he turned around and saw an old lady staring at him

' Are you new here son?' The old lady asked

' Yes..' Jaewan said bowing..her face oddly familiar..as if the wrinkles were hiding a very known face behind it

' Ah that's why I haven't seen you here that much' The old lady smiled ' Where are you from?'

' I...from some where far... Am a trader...so I am on a journey on understanding the different trade interests of each kingdom.. ' Jaewan lied

' Thats nice.... How has it been going' She asked again ' Don't take me wrong son...I saw you standing in front of my stall for a long time..lost in thoughts..so I thought that you are in some kind of trouble'

' Oh..no no..am sorry for the inconvenience' Jaewan apologized when he realized that he was in front of a small food stall

' Don't apologize...did you have food?'

' No'

' Then come on in... I was anyway going to close the shop...as it's late..so the food is on me... Mirawikians never let their guests go disappointed' The old woman smiled as she walked into her shop with Jaewan following

Soon a whole bowl of Kimchi and rice with some pork belly was set on the low table in front of Jaewan with the old woman settling down on the other side

' Its really tasty' Jaewan's eyes gleamed as he devoured the food

The old woman kept on looking at the man in front of her who was silently enjoying his food

' Son... don't mind me if I am wrong...' The lady said hesitantly.. ' Have you..have you perhaps visited before.. It's just you remind me of someone I knew from years back'

' I used to live here untill my appa decided to move...he was in the royal army.. chieftain actually' Jaewan nonchalantly said not noticing the change in expression of the lady

' J-Jaewan..is that you?' Her voice shook

Jaewan stilled looking up at the old lady who had her eyes brimmed with tears....' Don't you remember me Jae?'

A sudden realization hit him..his eyes widening as he finally understood why this lady felt so familiar 'Mina Ajumma?'

' Yes my Jae.. '

Jaewan was quick to hug the old lady...as she cried tears of happiness in his arms...Kim Mina... Jaewan's aunt...his mother's sister...who was the one to raise Jaewan up as his mother would always be with Chaeyeon looking after her as she was a very weak girl.

' It's been so long' Jaewan said sitting next to her ' How are you?'

' I am fine.... having a satisfied life..the only regret was not coming with you....as after these two kingdoms being declared enemies..we were never allowed to visit Alwarak..but now that I saw you...I am contented' Mina smiled caressing Jaewan's hair

Jaewan too smiled..how much he had missed this love and care

' Are you really a trader? Why are you alone? Where is Chaeyeonie?And..in one of her letters Chae had sent through our Prince Daewon she had written about the girl you loved..what was her name?? Yeah Jihye.. where is she...and how are your children? And what about Chaeyeon's kids...how are the-'

' Ajumma' Jaewan looked at her...his voice breaking 'Our Chaeyeoniee left us 24 years back'

Mina's face paled hearing that... Jaewan continued to explain what all happened all these years... ending up with him crying in the old woman's arm.. pouring out all these years' pain...with his aunt comforting him

' And I have to protect our Taehyung in every way possible' Jaewan sat straight wiping off his tears

' I have heard a lot about the omega prince of Alwarak...the Forbidden Treasure...but never once knew that he was our Chae's son...poor soul..had to suffer this long' Mina said..her voice pained ' Why are you here though?'

' Ajumma tell me about the king of Mirawik'

' But why Unnie..why is Akari behind our Tae now?' Jihye's desperate voice was heard as she sat beside Hyorin in her chamber

After applying some medicines on Hyorin's wound she had gone to check up on the kids who were having their dinner in their chamber... Once making sure that they were all fine she came to Hyorin to tell her what she saw today

' Akari is no good news Jihye...we need to be very careful and the king being an acquaintance to her is definitely not sitting right-' Hyorin stopped mid sentence when she heard a knock on the door

' Who?'Jihye called out

' Eomma... it's us' Jimin said poking his head in

' Come in' Hyorin smiled

' How is your hand?' Yoongi asked sitting on the ground at his Eomma's foot holding onto her hand

' Much better' Hyorin replied ruffling his hair

Jimin had heart eyes as he stared at his mate...

' Why are you both here? And where is Tae?' Jihye asked pulling Jimin next to her

'Hyung is sleeping..told me he is tired' Jimin said.. mentally organizing his thoughts ' Eomma we were in the library and were going through some books when I suddenly had a doubt'

' When did you start reading??!!' Jihye asked bewildered making Yoongi burst out laughing

' Yaaa stop laughing!' Jimin glared at him ' Eomma listen'

' Okok tell me'

' Ok so...as Jaewan ajusshi-wait where is he? Didn't see him the whole day' Jimin suddenly asked

' Pack house..had some work there' Jihye lied

' Oh...as I was saying..you remember that day Jaewan ajusshi asking me if I was feeling different since my hair changed...so I was checking about that in the library and found out that each color or symbol had their own meanings...so I was thinking if colors like purple... silver or even black had some meaning'

' I don't know about Purple or black...but silver does have a meaning' Jihye said

' What meaning?' Jimin asked stealing a subtle glance at Yoongi

' Life' Hyorin said ' For us werewolves... silver means life'

' Life? How come life? I mean.. silver always brings death with it..so' Jimin asked genuinely confused

'Do you know how silver and wolfsbane became deadly for us?' Hyorin asked to which both the alphas shook their head

' Long back...when the Elementals were said to exist...there was a plant called the Kore's touch..also known as moondust....a deep blue flower which blooms only at night...It was called Kore'a touch because as per the myths..the plant was bloomed in goddess Persephone's garden..by herself..when the god of underworld was deadly wounded...' Hyorin paused taking in a deep breath

' Persephone was very fond of the three Elementals..so she blessed them with the ability to grow this plant on earth... Since it was blessed with the Queen of death herself..this flower had healing powers which could even bring the dead back alive...but the problem was it was way to hard to be plucked with bare hands... Thus at that time silver daggers were used to cut the flower off from the plant..which would then be made into a paste that has to be applied on the wound or whose nectar was to be drank..'

' Woahh... that's... amazing' Jimin had his mouth agape..his eyes wide as he listened to Hyorin

' It was...' Hyorin continued ' Before the emergence of the major five Kingdoms of Inwangsan mountain... There were only two major provinces..one the land of Arryn..ruled by the Elementals...and the other..the kingdom of Walkaar..ruled by the power greedy off springs of Lycaon.. The land of Arryn... found out by Izan and Aeon...was a prosperous place filled with happiness.. which was then ruled side by side by the two Elementals...'

' Weren't there three of them?' Yoongi asked

' There were three..but the youngest was killed when he was a baby by an evil witch... ' Hyorin sighed ' It was after the death of the youngest... Hades and Persephone decided to give powers to the eldest two making them the mighy Elementals with equally blessed mates... They all were living in harmony when one day the minister of thr Kingdom of Walkaar...came to Arryn begging for help... for their king was gravely ill and the heir to the throne was a mere child of four'

' Am not having a good feeling' Jimin mumbled

' Hmm...' Jihye hummed as she decided to continue the story ' The minister wanted the elementals to give them some of the moondust to heal their king... The Elementals being the pure hearted ones decided to help them... They supplied them with the plants and also the silver daggers.... giving them instructions on how to grow them...After some months an invitation came from the king of Walkaar thanking them for the help and inviting the Elementals and their mates over to the palace.... The Elementals agreed to go..but their mates stayed back... looking over the kingdom on their behalf... both the Elemental brothers reached Walkaar only to understand that they were betrayed'

' Fuckers' Jimin cursed earning a glare from Jihye

' The king of Walkaar..was actually fine..he just wanted the Moondust in their own kingdom and also wanted to defeat the Elementals so that they can take over Arryn'

' But how can they kill Elementals..they have powers for a reason' Yoongi argued

' No power..no blessings work when a witch casts her spell' Hyorin spoke up ' Akkari...the evil witch who was  banished from the land of witches by the supreme witch and warlock had joined hands with The king of Walkaar as she didn't like the way Arryn's werewolves were turning into mighty warriors.... A war broke out in both Arryn and Walkaar..the moment the two brothers stepped foot in Walkaar... They fought with all their might...even their mates did their best..and the mate of the eldest was the one who organized the group called the Werewolves of Arryn..the mighty warriors to be ever born...their fighting techniques being extremely unique'

' You know what is the most painful thing for the kinds like us?' Jihye asked to which both the alphas just shook their head hesitantly

'Death of your mate' Jihye said ' No matter who you are..how powerful you are... You won't be able to overcome the pain of loosing your mate'

Jimin and Yoongi locked their eyes.. both of them understanding the depth of the statement

' Even the Elementals grew weak as their mates were brutally killed by the Witches under Akari... Both the brothers continued to fight even when their mate mark burned...even when their chest hurt..even when their hearts bled at the lose of their love... Enraged with anger both the brothers chased the King of Walkaar into the fields of moondust that the Walkaarians tried to grow with the supplies The Elementals had given...
But that was a trap by the Walkaarian king who had their men ready with silver daggers poisoned by the magic potion of Akari... The beautiful blue flowers of Moondust drowned in the blood of the Elementals as the silver dagger found it's place deep in their chest... tearing their hearts open... It is said that since that day the silver daggers that were used to cut the flowers.. indirectly serving as a life saver turned into the deadliest weapon for werewolves...and the Moondust that were drowned in the blood of the Elementals grew into wild purple flowers..called wolfsbane..even the scent of which are lethal for us...the werewolves... And Since then till this moment Silver is considered as the only thing that can save a life..as well as take one'

Jimin looked at Yoongi who was already staring at him.... Both of them thinking about the same thing that Yoongi said some hours before while they were in his chamber...

Some hours before

'He never what???' Jimin asked totally flabbergasted

' Tae never once did submit to the King..nor any of ours alpha voice once he turned 11...the prime age at which our wolves develop completely' Yoongi bit his lips contemplating whether to continue or not ' And..also..'

' Also?'

' I have seen a whole plant withering under Taehyung's touch' Yoongi saw Jimin's eyes going wide...as he continued

' Jimin ah...as much as Taehyung's powers can give rise to a new life... it's also capable of taking one too...'

Taehyung glanced at the paper in his hand once more before standing up from the river bank

Taehyung smiled as he made his way towards the other side of the dome... climbing up the stairs towards the only lush green part of the whole Arcane where there is no flowers yet... He smiled looking at the purple rose in his hand which he had brought of his Jungkook....

His feet grazed over the grass as his anklet shined in the moon light...

' Do you have any idea how much you mean to me hyung' Taehyung mumbled as he held the letter closer to his chest.... ' When we first started talking...I felt that I found a friend for myself...but I don't think it's possible to think of you as a friend anymor-'

' Why is that?'

Taehyung turned around only to see Jungkook standing at some distance with a playful smile on his lips.... making Taehyung's heart skip a beat as blood rushed to his cheeks

' Because...' Taehyung smiled as he started walking towards the elder....' All these years I was living a life of a prisoner.... I was living as if I was someone forbidden to be loved...I was lost in the darkness... trying to get out of that hell when I found you and you are asking why we can't be friends?'

Jungkook's breath hitched when Taehyung stood in front of him.. taking a hold of both his arms wrapping it around his petite waist...the bare skin peeking out from beneath the laces..which felt smooth under the alpha's calloused hands made his mind go haywire... but Jungkook's world stopped when he heard the deep honey soft voice of the younger as he sang for him...their eyes locked in a frozen stance

Heaven, when you held me again

Taehyung snaked his arms around the Alpha's neck...their breaths mingling as he sang

How could we ever just be friends?
I would rather die than let you go

Taehyung pulled back... taking a few steps back before turning on his heels and running away.... Jungkook laughed as he ran behind his omega.. but his heart raced when he saw how Taehyung's each step changed the lush green grass into rose flowers...making it feel like Taehyung was laying a carpet of roses just for Jungkook to walk on and that thought was enough to make the alpha's heart flutter

Taehyung gasped when a pair of strong arms wrapped around his waist.... making his back hit a hard chest.. He felt goosebumps all over his body when Jungkook nuzzled his head into the crook of the omega's neck..his warm breath hitting him as the alpha sang

Taehyung turned around in his hold..his heart beating wildly as the euphonious voice of the alpha rang in his ears.... He pushed the alpha making him fall back into the bed of roses with him on top...

Jungkook sat up..one arm around the omega who was now straddling his lap....

' You thought I never noticed hyung?'

Jungkook frowned when he heard that...his eyes following Taehyung's orbs which were fixed on to the ground next to him

Jungkook stilled...his heart stopping as he pulled his hand up..the flowers under his hand that was resting on the ground was now totally black with specks of red as if was burnt down into Ember

He lifted his fear filled eyes looking into the warm blue orbs of the smiling omega

' Y-you knew?' Jungkook asked his other hand that was on the omega's waist lifting off

' Since the first day' Taehyung said holding Jungkook's arms back on his waist... ' That night at the palace...I had a plant on the window that you saved from falling down... that day while I was having the Bukkumi you were picking on the grass...and now...'

' You never asked' Jungkook mumbled..his heart still beating erratically

' You also didn't ask me' Taehyung smiled...' I had brought this for you' He said holding the purple rose up which he had earlier stuck to the lace around his waist on his dress..

Jungkook tore away his eyes that was begging to linger on the exposed soft skin of the omega's waist as he looked between the flower and the prince...not knowing whether he should take it or not...

' Don't worry Jungkookiee.... Nothing will happen to this flower' Taehyung cupped one of his cheeks caressing it as he smiled softly

Jungkook could swear the he forgot to breath for a moment when he saw black creeping up the petals.. drowning the purple..the tips turning red... the same happening with all the rose flowers around them

' This is our garden Jungkook....and these unique flowers will only be found in our Arcane....just for us to see...us to know' Taehyung said making Jungkook's world stop

' Tae' Jungkook whispered..his grip around the younger's waist tightening

' If I could...then I would change the whole world so that I would never have to see the fear in your eyes which I witnessed some moments ago' Taehyung said leaning closer....

' Why?' Jungkook asked.. swallowing the lump in his throat

' Because' Taehyung said as he raised himself on to his knees...still straddling the alpha...as he cupped his cheeks..his thumb trailing over the scar on Jungkook's face as he leaned down... joining their lips.. sending a surge of tingles all over their bodies but not before saying

' Because I love you my Alpha'

' You can't just go there in the middle of the night Jimin' Yoongi yelled as he held his mate back

' But I need answers...I want to know what my hyung is.... By now am sure that he is no Elemental...and what am I hyung? Everytime my emotions go overboard the mark on my back hurts....and I..I feel like something is happening to me... what is happening to us?'

Yoongi pulled the younger into his arms 'Its ok Jimin ah... everything will be fine... we will go and meet him tomorrow itself '

were true?' Jaewan frowned.

' That's what we believe' Mina said ' No one has ever dared to enrage him...scared that..the man who can harm his own blood just because he was angry won't hesitate to do anything to the people who would dare go against him...he is seen as a beast without a heart Jaewan.....'

' Halmoni...am back'

Jaewan turned around to see a young man.. probably of Jimin and Taehyung's age standing by the door staring at him

'He..?' Jaewan trailed off

' He is the younger son of our Jisan ...' Mina smiled

' Yeonjoon ah..meet your Samchon... Jaewan' Mina said

' Nice to meet to uncle Jae...I have heard a lot about you from Halmoni' Yeonjoon bowed

Jaewan bowed back with a smile on his face... ' You talk exactly like your father'

' I get that a lot..even at the palace' Yeonjoon laughed

' Palace?' Jaewan frowned

'I am the personal guard of the king' Yeonjoon said walking in' Oh...Samchon aren't you from Alwarak?'

' Yeah...'

' Heard the rivalry is going to end'

' What?' Mina and Jaewan asked shocked

' You didn't know? I thought you also joined the royal army after your appa' Yeonjoon said confused

' Yeonjoon ah...what were you saying about the rivalry?' Mina asked getting worried

' Apparently the King of Alwarak has put forward a proposal that could end the years old rivalry'

' What proposal?' Jaewan was on his feet now

' Proposal for the marriage of The Omega Prince of Alwarak into the Royal family of Mirawik'
