Once upon a time, Nora Elliot had a perfect life. She had two loving parents, an annoyingly cute little sister, and a white picket fence. The Elliot's were perfection in the small town they lived in... that was before her life became a big blur in a matter of seconds during a cold, winter night's drive when a fully-loaded semi slid on ice and collided with their car.

The accident left Nora as the only survivor with her father, and in Nora's mind, it almost felt like a punishment. For what? She didn't exactly know... For months, they struggled to grieve with such a tragic accident, forced to live in the home that neither of them wanted to be in anymore. How could one person be there one moment and gone the next?

OVERDUE was a word that etched itself in Nora's mind since the accident as her father struggled to stay ahead of the bills, his grief suffocating him. On a spur of the moment decision, Nora's father accepts a job opening in Port Angeles, Washington, finding it as a perfect escape for both of them.

        Forks, Washington, was a small town in the middle of nowhere named after a piece of silverware... charming. It was a big move from her hometown in Minnesota, moving halfway across the country in the middle of the school year wasn't exactly what Nora had in mind, but if it helped her escape the suffocating feeling she had... she'd do it.

There were several things that Nora never expected in Forks, like falling in love with a vampire or finding out that your best friend is a werewolf. Not to mention that it seemed Forks, Washington, held a lot more secrets than it seemed...
