"HELLO DARLING, I THINK IT'S TIME that we have a little chat." The fear on Cecile's face was evident, scared that Kol will do something to her thinking that she was involved with him being daggered.

Cecile stood frozen in fear, wondering what Kol was plotting. She didn't know the vampire for very long, but it was clear that he was capable of a gruesome murder.

"Kol, look I swear I had nothing to do with what Alaric did. I promise you I wasn't a part-"

Before Cecile could finish her sentence, Kol took one step forward, attempting to enter the Salvatore Boarding house, but was denied access due to him not being invited inside.

"Invite me in, love. It would be a wise choice. I promise I'm not going to hurt you, please." Kol's tone of voice was genuine, making Cecile reconsider. After trusting her instincts for a second, Cecile invited Kol into her home,  him proudly taking a step into the doorway.

Cecile couldn't help but stare at the stab wound where the dagger previously was penetrated in Kol's chest. The blood surrounding his shirt, making her more scared of Kol's intentions.

Staring at the wound a little too long, Kol traced her gaze, leading back to his chest. He laughed maniacally, making Cecile fear him once more.

"My darling Cecile, if you think that I am here to kill you, I'm not. If I really wanted to, I would have done it by now." Kol walked up closer to Cecile, making her back up into a wall, having nowhere else to go. He put his arms against the wooden wall, creating a barrier for Cecile to stay in place.

His face was merely an inch apart from Cecile's, but he could sense the fear in her face and her heart. Kol looked down at her chest and smiled at the top she was wearing.

"Is that a Spongebob top?" Cecile looked down at her shirt and smiled slightly at the cartoon t-shirt she was currently wearing.

"Yeah, it is. How do you know about Spongebob?" Kol flashed a smile which made Cecile's heart melt. She loved it when vampires showed their humanity, knowing that they aren't horrible people.

"When I woke up, I used this thing called... what was it... the internet. It's remarkably innovative for this century." Cecile laughed, finding it intriguing that a vampire who was sleeping for a century found the beauty of the internet.

"But seriously Kol, I invited you in, what do you want?"

"What, you find it arduous to believe that I just want to see an enchanting woman like you?" Kol unexpectedly grabbed Cecile's hand and put it against his chest where it would previously be the wound from the dagger.

Cecile furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, wondering why Kol would put her hand on his chest. He put his hand above hers, his warmth comforting the pair.

"This right here is my heart. A heart that has been daggered many times as well as broken many times, but tonight, when I was with you, all of those dreadful memories of being a vampire, went away."

Cecile did not know what to think. At first, she thought Kol was just trying to charm her, but his tone of voice was genuine and filled with pain and happiness. Kol slowly let her go from the wall, his arms falling to his sides. Cecile walked towards the sofa and sat there, followed by Kol soon afterward.

"I sense that there were a lot of traumatizing events in your childhood." The saddened expression on Kol's face made it clear that Cecile was correct about her prediction.

"There is not much to be said. Not everyone has a happy childhood like you, love." Kol let out a small chuckle, trying to lighten up the mood, but Cecile had to disagree with Kol's statement.

"Trust me, my childhood was not the best. My mom died of cancer when I was five and my dad was murdered by Damon." Cecile was talking about her childhood so nonchalantly, Kol wasn't sure if she was mentally okay or not. Even for a psychopath, Kol wasn't sure if her calmness was a good or bad sign.

He wanted to question her more about her early life but didn't want to pry. Cecile could tell that Kol was intrigued and wanted to know more, so she decided to go on.

"And don't worry, I promise you're not prying or anything. It'd be nice to actually talk about them." Cecile started to tell Kol her favorite childhood memories with her parents. Even though Damon killed her father, it didn't excuse her from loving him. Of course, she was angry at first, but she found the time and love to forgive her uncle.

"Well, it seems like we are both wounded in our own way. Right before I turned, my siblings were always the people I would aspire to be. Throughout the years of being daggered mercilessly by Nik, over the centuries, I learned to-"

"-You learned to forgive him." Cecile finished Kol's sentence, making him smile at her sadly with a nod. When it came to family and love, the similarities between the pair were enough for Cecile to do what she did next.

She wrapped both of her arms around Kol, catching him off guard. Kol never got hugs from anyone and Cecile was never the person to give them either, so it was a slightly weird moment for the both of them. She didn't know where it came from, however, Cecile thought a hug would help both her and Kol.

Soon after, Kol wrapped his arms around Cecile's. His strong muscular body pressing against her's made the comfort between them sink in even more. Their warmth was soothing for the pair.

After staying in a hug for a minute, both Kol and Cecile broke apart, now staring into each other's eyes. Cecile knew nobody was born evil, they were raised like that and the way Kol was raised by his siblings and parents, she couldn't help but feel obligated to make his life more tolerable.

"WAIT!" Cecile's sudden outburst made Kol's eyes widen with worry and confusion.

"What is it darling?"

"How about you go to school with me? I know you never really experienced the high school years of your life, but allow me to make it memorable for you! Rebekah is already enrolled and on the cheer squad so it is nice if you could go to school too."

Kol thought about it for a while and it seemed that he did not want to have any part with the high school drama that teenagers tend to dramatisize. "I don't know Cecile..."

"Please Kol. It would be fun. I can be your mentor for the first few days, also, so I can babysit you just in case you feel like it's smart to eat anyone." One of Kol's famous smirks soon appeared on his face, making Cecile give him a warning look.

"Can I at least feed on the people who act like imbeciles?" Giving him a stern look, she glared at him slightly, making Kol mockingly surrender his hands in the air.

"Ugh, fine. I suppose it would be nice to have an excuse to hang out with an impeccable woman like you." She rolled her eyes as Cecile playfully slapped him on the chest.

"Okay, you should head back home now. You have to get ready for school tomorrow." Cecile basically pushed Kol out of the door, him obviously letting her because it's no doubt that he can be stronger than her.

"I would rather be here with you." Kol was now standing outside of her home while Cecile was ready to close the door.

After giving him a soft smile, Cecile was about to close the door, but Kol's hand stopped it, making her open it once more.

"What's up?" The nervousness shown on Kol's face made Cecile furrow her eyebrows in confusion, wondering if he had a question about school or something.

But she was way off, considering what Kol was about to ask next.

"I-Is it alright with you if I can have another hug again? I hardly ever get those and it felt rewarding to get one from you." Cecile couldn't help but smile at this sweet, soft, and sensitive side of Kol. Not hesitating, Cecile went out of her house and gave Kol a full-front hug. She had to stand on her tip-toes due to the extreme height difference.

"Goodnight, Kol. I'll see you tomorrow at school." Once the pair broke apart the hug, Kol kissed Cecile's hand, just like the night at the Mikaelson ball.

"Goodnight, love. I can't wait to join this life of teenager drama." Cecile laughed at the vampire and closed the door.

Walking back up to her room, a smile crept on Cecile's lip. She couldn't help but feel excited that Kol was going to her school now. She went to her room, snuggling up in her comfortable fluffy blanket.

What an interesting ending to the night, but little did Cecile know, there were even more horrible events to come in her life.
