HELLO HELLO!

Here I will show you how I draw and edit hair when I do my graphics, I'll try to explain as best as I can but there are tons of steps so hopefully you guys will understand it somehow lmao😭

So first step is to kinda roughly make your manip, it doesnt matter if the hair looks like shit because we will make it perfect soon🧚‍♀️

(Ignore the random multiply layer, that's just for the manip) so anyways first step I do is I add a simple layer on top of any other ones

I then select a custom brush, for which I added the qr code for right there on the top!

Then with that brush, first I select a colour from the actual hair, and I just draw the way I want the hair to flow. Just completely randomly, however you feel like it!

So for example here I added a layer under the manip itself because I wanted the hair to go behind her aswell, but that is only optional!!

I then add a clip layer onto the one where I drew the hair

And then with the same hair brush I select colours from the original picture and just draw in the strands of hair, it doesn't have to be perfect, it can go all over the place because in real life our hair goes everywhere as well😭

After that, for me, I merged down both of the clip layers onto the original hair layer so they would be just one singular layer.

After that I selected the layer with the hair I drew and ent over to the filter button—

And there I selected 'unsharp mask' in the blur section and I just adjust it as I feel it looks the best, I like to sharpen the hair so it looks crispy🤭

Once I'm done with that I add another layer, this time above the manip itself, and under the hair layer and I put the blending mode on multiply

I then selct a random dark colour with the eyedropper tool from the skin and just draw dark spots under the hair to create a shadow

I then lower the opacity, here I lowered it to 60 ish but it depends on the lighting!

I once again add another layer but this time it's above everything else!

I then select this brush! (My fav😩)

And draw in random hairstrands that stick out from the blob of hair to make it more fancy!🤌
