I'm gonna go crazy and kill the whole town"

Β  Β  Β  β€” "YOU BROUGHT BACK JOHN GILBERT?" Damon questioned Stefan incredulously, "That was your big save-Elena move?"

"I went to go look for Isobel and I got John instead." Stefan responded as if that explained everything.

Skyler scoffed in disbelief, her arms crossed as she stared at her twin, "So you just brought him back with you?" She questioned incredulously.

"He said he could help us, and we're desperate." He told her, crossing his arms defensively.

"We're not that desperate, Stefan." Damon replied, "The guy tried to barbecue me."

"Damon, Bonnie's new witch friend is working with Elijah, so we have to assume that the moonstone was never destroyed." Stefan attempted to reason, "Elena is putting all of her faith into some deal that she made with Elijah to keep everyone safe." Skyler scowled, his gaze flickered to her as he asked, "I mean do you trust Elijah? I don't trust him. He's an original. He can't be trusted. It's not like we can just go up and kill him because apparently, he can't die."

She frowned deeply, "I can still try." She grumbled under her breath.

"Still waiting for the part where John Gilbert is the answer." Damon told his brother, his blue eyes pointed in a glare at his brother.

"He knew about the sacrifice. Isobel told him. He said he knew of a way to keep Elena safe." Stefan responded steadily.

"So what, you're just gonna trust him?" She questioned incredulously.

"He's not talking. At least not to me anyway. So no, we don't but if there's a chance he knows something that can save her... we have to go for it, Sky." Stefan responded pleading with her now.

He really was desperate, Skyler mused β€” too bad she didn't care. Not right now with her fury burning bright, for both him and Elijah. "Great work, Stefan." Damon told him sarcastically, "Top notch. As if I didn't have enough problems."

Without another word, he began to walk away when Stefan stopped him, "Hey, I'm sorry about Rose." Skyler furrowed her brows in confusion, Rose? Oh right... she realized, Rose had died while Skyler was off planning Elijah's demise yesterday... right. Touchy subject she presumed.

"Whatever. I knew the woman for 5 minutes." Damon said brushing it off.

Unfortunately for him, his siblings knew all too well the signs of a lie in their big brother. The way his eyes flickered away, because no matter how well he lied he could never look them in the eyes when he did. Especially when he was hurting. "And you cared about her after five minutes though." Stefan pointed out, "I wonder what that means."

Skyler looked between the two, unable to not feel left out. She honestly hadn't paid much attention to Rose after the woman kidnapped her during their first meeting but even from an outside point of view, she could tell Damon did care for her even if this scene was her only evidence. "It means I care, Stefan." She arched a brow at his words, "It means I'm changing and evolving into a man capable of greatness."

She hummed in a high-pitched tone, "Let's not go too far now." She joked albeit awkwardly.

"You better watch your back." He smirked at Stefan, "I may just have to go get a hero hairdo of my own and steal your thunder." He walked out of the room just as Stefan's phone began to vibrate.

Stefan pulled it out of his back pocket with a frown, reading over the text for a second before he looked up, "I gotta go." He told his twin briefly before running away in a flash without any further explanation.

"Oh okay and I'm alone now, nice thanks." She scoffed, shaking her head and looking around, "What am I gonna do now?" She wondered aloud.

Β  Β  Β  Β  "AND, that's how I ended up here." Skyler explained as she poured another glass of alcohol β€” whiskey mixed with blood.

"Drinking your sorrows in blood and alcohol?" Kol teased as he slid into the seat next to her at the bar in the temporary house Klaus had gotten for the family β€” now excluding Elijah. His arm instinctively wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her closer and drowning in her presence, all tension dropping from his body.

Skyler scoffed as she relaxed into his side, "Please, I don't give a fuck about this town."

"But you do care for your brothers." He pointed out with a raised brow, challenging her to deny it.

She looked away, stirring her drink with pursed lips. "Where's Elijah?" She questioned curiously, tilting her head.

"Why? So you can kill him?" Kol shot back with a teasing lilt.

She smirked. He knew her too well. "No, lover boy, I'd just dagger him so he can have a nice little nap to think about what he's done." Skyler responded with an innocent smile as she batted her lashes up at him.

"You're going to put a thousand-year-old vampire in a timeout?" He questioned with a mischievous look in his eyes β€” for clarification purposes of course.

She snapped her fingers with a grin, "Exactly!"

Kol shook his head, a fond smile on his face. She really is perfect. Too perfect for him. "You never fail to amaze me, darling."

"I am pretty amazing, mon amour." She stated like a reminder to him. He chuckled, heart-warmed every time his wife called him pet names in Italian or French β€” her parents' languages, though she usually stuck to French, her mother's language, as anything about her father was often followed by bad memories none of them wanted to speak of. Kol reached out, grabbing onto her hand with the arm wrapped around her shoulder, he held her hand with a soft relaxed smile. He only ever showed this side of himself around her, because she was the only one who could ever bring it out besides perhaps his mother a thousand years ago. Before she literally stabbed him in the back.

Skyler smiled back at him, intertwining their hands and taking a sip of her drink with the other, she went to speak after swallowing a big sip of her drink when her phone began to ring. She groaned, setting her drink down and grabbing her phone from her pocket, her hand still intertwined with Kol's.

She rolled her eyes upon seeing Stefan's name, picking up despite her annoyance, "What do you want?"

Β  Β  Β  Β  JULES stood outside her camper, a tense air around her as she studied the dark misty forest surrounding her with an uneasy feeling. She knew what β€” No, she knew who was out there and she made that clear as she called out to the darkness, "I know you're out there."

As though on cue, the Salvatore twins walked out side by side. Stefan held Tyler while Skyler walked beside him, flipping a danger as she fixed a stern look on Jules. She wasn't underestimating the werewolf who had already proven she would be a problem. "Where's Caroline?" Stefan questioned.

"Locked up tight." Jules responded with a wicked smirk.

"Let her go and I'll release Tyler." Stefan told her, his voice steady but stern.

"It doesn't have to get any messier than it already has." Skyler called, she threw her dagger in the air, catching it she pointed it at the wolf, "Unless you want it to."

"We're not your enemy, Jules." He spoke cautiously.

"It's a little late to be waving a white flag, don't you think?" Jules responded, "especially when your sister's pointing a knife at me."

Stefan nodded in agreement. Still, he held his ground, "You need to leave town. No one else has to get hurt."

"I'm not leaving without Tyler."

"Tyler's free to make his own decisions." He said sternly.

"He's not a pet after all." Skyler added, raising a brow, "Or is he. To you, I mean?"

Stefan glanced at his twin before eyeing Jules, "As soon as you release Caroline, Tyler will be free to make his decision."

"My siblings, the peacemakers." Damon called as he came from the shadows of the forest. Stefan turned, glaring at his brother. He didn't want him to ruin this deal. Meanwhile, Skyler didn't dare let her gaze fall from Jules. He spoke from behind her, "Since the twins got here before me, I'm gonna let them try it their way before I resort to my way, which is a little bloodier." He smiled charmingly, "So give us Caroline."

"My way can get bloody too." Skyler reminded, holding her dagger tightly despite it being in a more relaxed position now, "Depending on what you do."

"Let go of Tyler." Jules demanded.

"You're not the one making demands here sweetheart." She glared, fully ready to drop Stefan's plan and take on Damon's instead. She'd love to see the meddling werewolf bleed.

"Give us Caroline. Without a full moon, it's not an even fight and you know it." Damon told her persuasively with a clear threat behind his words, "We'll take you."

"I'm not so sure about that tough guy." Jules responded. She brought her fingers to her mouth and whistled, calling in her pack. Skyler looked around carefully as werewolves come out of the woods. They were surrounded, she realized, "Let's try this again." She said as Skyler's eyes found her way back to the female wolf. Her pack was a threat but she was still the main threat they faced right now. She was the leader, if she attacked, they all would. "Give us Tyler."

"You heard her, go." Damon told Tyler.

"Get over there before she sicks her pets on us." Skyler called over her shoulder, gaze glued to Jules.

"Which one of you killed Mason?" One of the wolves questioned.

"Uh, that'd be me." Damon admitted pointing to himself shamelessly, Skyler glared at him. Why must he always drag himself into trouble?

"Boys, make sure that one suffers."

Damon grinned as he looked over at the twins, "We can take them."

Stefan shook his head in disagreement, "I don't know about that."

"Yeah. You just made them angry." Skyler added not entirely nervous however she certainly wasn't about to grab a bag of popcorn and watch a movie with them.

"Well then..." Damon stared at Jules for a moment before running at her, she leaped onto the trailer before backflipping off it and escaping Damon with ease meanwhile the wolves point bows and start blow torches pointed right at the twins.

Slipping her dagger into her boots for now, Skyler grabbed the bow Stefan handed her. She took down one wolf with the bow while Stefan fought the one with the blowtorch, fending off any wolves that tried to stop him by forcing one of their own to point the flame at them.

A wolf reached out, grabbing onto Skyler by her wrist. She snapped, getting out of their grip swiftly, she grabbed their wrist and flipped them onto the ground with much more power than she usually showed among her brothers. The wolf tried fighting her, but it was no use. Just as their fangs started to show, Skyler snapped their neck, letting them fall to the ground motionless. Another wolf tried running up behind her. Her fangs came out as she drop-kicked them before sending them flying. When yet another wolf ran at her, enraged by her killing one of his own, she took out their heart with one fell swoop that Klaus would've been proud of had he seen it. After all, he's the one who taught her how to take a heart without mercy.

While they're busy fighting the wolves, Caroline comes out of the camper with Tyler. Immediately, she's pushed up against the side of it, a gun pointed at her head. Rather abruptly all the wolves fell to the ground, clutching their heads as they screamed out in pain. Skyler looked around as the wolf she was fighting fell to the ground. "There's a witch." She commented casually. Tilting her head, she wondered aloud, "Where are they?"

As though on cue, a warlock came out from the woods, chanting under his breath as Skyler's brothers stood up, confused as to why they weren't being targeted too. "Elijah made a promise to Elena." The warlock told them while Skyler made her way to her twin's side, "I'm here to see it's upheld. You need to go." The vampires gathered together, forming a line in front of the warlock. "Get out of here, now."

"Gladly." Skyler agreed without hesitation, being the first to walk away. Not needing him to tell them a third time, they leave. Behind them, they hear the warlock start speaking to Tyler in the background; no doubt giving him a message for the others. Skyler didn't bother listening, she only had one thing on her mind. Getting the hell out of the wolf infested woods. While Stefan takes Caroline home, Skyler goes to her own home β€” Kol.

Heading through the open door, she allowed her body to pull her to her soulmate. She smiled as she sat down next to him on the couch. Kol looked over at her, not the faintest bit surprised by her sudden presence, "There you are, Skygem." He smiled fondly.

"Here I am, mon amour." Skyler smiled as she took his hand,

"Care for a drink?" He asked, grabbing a glass from the side table filled with what she had been drinking before.

"Thank you mon amour," she took a sip and hummed, "remind me to kill Elijah later." she said absentmindedly, a casualness to her as she threatened death, "for ruining my drink."

Β  Β  Β  Β  "DAMON," Jenna called out as Skyler and Damon Salvatore make their way into the room, "And..." she looked at the woman beside him with furrowed brows, trying to remember her name.

"Skyler." She replied, an air of boredom around her as she stood in a black flannel shirt with a black leather jacket over it and dark blue jeans with ripped knees.

She looked like the embodiment of a moody teenager, if it were a tv show β€” beautiful but so dangerous, she was bored by it β€” Jenna fought against the feeling of intimidation. This is a child. The same age as her niece. She has nothing to be afraid of. "Right, yes, sorry." Jenna smiled at her politely, "What are you two doing here?"

Just as the question left her mouth, Damon's date came over with a grin, slinking in beside him as Skyler stepped back with a look of disgust, "Hi you came."

"Hi." Damon greeted kissing the new arrival. "Hi." The woman responded, kissing him back. "Hi." Skyler mocked with a grin. The woman, not catching on to Skyler's sarcasm, smiled and said, "Hi." Skyler ignored her, giving Damon a look over her shoulder that perfectly screamed are you serious.

"Thanks for introducing us, Jenna." Damon told Elena's aunt before he walked away.

"And I'm just gonna..." Skyler pointed after her brother awkwardly when left alone with the two women, "Follow him."

"Yeah." Jenna agreed as the brunette walked away.

"Damon!" The mayor called out coming up to the man. "Carol!" Damon greeted happily. "Skyler." Skyler added sarcastically as she walked up beside her brother.

"What a surprise." The mayor smiled.

The mayor and Damon greeted each other when suddenly the mayor looked away, focusing on someone else, "Elijah," Skyler's eyes widened slightly as she looked to the side and spotted Elijah stood there in his best dressed β€” aka his everyday wear, "I want you to meet Damon and Skyler Salvatore. Their family is one of Mystic Falls' founding families." The mayor told Elijah.

Skyler confirmed with a hum of agreement, she smiled menacingly at Elijah who stared back at her coldly. "Such a pleasure to meet you." Damon told him.

"No pleasures mine." Elijah responded, shaking his hand however when he stretched his hand out to Skyler next, she crossed her arms, denying him even that. He cleared his throat, his hand falling to his side while a wave of disappointment crossing his face as he seemed to remember that, yes, Skyler was still very much so infuriated with him.

"Sorry." She told him, sarcasm dripping from her tone, "Germs."

"Of course." Elijah responded politely.

Skyler cleared her throat, looking back to the mayor, "If you'll excuse me, I have to go." She smiled politely at the mayor.

"Oh of course," the mayor responded, "I should be going too actually." Skyler smiled brightly before taking her exit, but not before she shot a cold look at Elijah over her shoulder, and for good measure, Damon too. Each with different messages although similar. Don't mess with me and don't mess this up. Each well deserved, to be sure.

Β  Β  Β  Β  "I cannot believe him." Skyler fumed to Kol as she sat on the couch with him, her head in his lap as he played with her hair soothingly, "I mean he has the audacity to show up and act like everything's fine? He's soβ€” ugh."

"Well, he's an idiot, that's for sure but he does know how to keep up appearances." Kol reminded her calmly. He was just as enraged with his brother as she was, there was no doubt about that, however, he tried to keep calm, focusing on comforting her.

"I hate him." Skyler muttered, "Can we abolish this stupid plan now?" She pleaded with big puppy dog eyes, "I'll even run away if I have to, I just want to spend all day every day in your arms." Skyler was done. Done with Elijah, done with her brothers and Elena, but most importantly done with Mystic Falls and she made no attempt to hide this fact. Even if she had, Kol would've seen right through it anyway.

He chuckled, "That certainly sounds intriguing, darling, but unfortunately Klaus has a plan."

Skyler groaned, sitting up she said, "Screw the plans."

Let it be known, Kol was not an easy man to persuade. "Darling, I hate this just as much as you do," he told her softly, "But it's only for a little while longer and then we can leave this town, together."

"Or we can leave now." Skyler replied trying to persuade him, she was only half-serious though if he were to agree she knew she would go for it.

Let it also be known that this fact did not apply to his wife who could get him to do anything. Kol sighed, "Gem, if you keep talking that way I will kidnap you and run away forever."

Skyler blinked, that sounded like a good plan actually. Could they do that instead? "It's not kidnapping if I agree to it." She pointed out absentmindedly as she debated the pros and cons.

Suddenly, before either of them could take action on this newly thought plan, there was a whoosh of air they recognized as a vampire running into the room. The husband and wife looked away from each other and found the source of Skyler's new phase of done standing right there. She stood immediately, glaring at the man, "What are you doing here?"

"Your brothers were attacked by wolves," Elijah told her before she could do anything like attack him or scream in his face until his whole body hurt from the ferocity, "they wanted to take you too but I see now you were safe."

Kol scowled. Of course, his idiot brother decided to show up and ruin their plans. "I will kill them all." Skyler said firmly, eyes flaring with rage. If she couldn't kill Elijah she would certainly kill a pack of wolves. While his wife raged, Kol began to simmer, glaring at his older brother with familiar ease.

They should've run while they had the chance.

Screw Mystic Falls.

Β  Β  Β  Β  "WHERE'S the moonstone?" Jules questioned, pointing a crossbow at Damon who was tied to the chair and stabbed by tens of little wooden stakes. Skyler winced, that had to hurt.

"Get over it, honey." Damon called, determined and all too stubborn, "You're never gonna get it."

Elijah chose this moment to reveal himself for the dramatic flair of course as he leaned against the banister holding the moonstone up casually, "Looking for this?" Heads turned as the original immediately got all of their attention, Elijah stepped down into the room and made a show of setting the moonstone down onto the table behind the couch and stepping back, "Go ahead. Take it."

Skyler stood by the banister still, staring at Elijah in a mixture of shock and disbelief. What was he doing? When a wolf tried running for the moonstone, Elijah immediately killed him making Skyler realize he wasn't going to let them get the moonstone.

So Elijah hadn't decided on death today, she realized.

Pity.

One by one, Elijah killed each werewolf, Jules was the only one to make it out as she made a quick run for it, leaving in the opposite direction of both Skyler and Elijah to avoid her death. Skyler glowered, she hadn't been able to kill any of them. "What about you sweetheart?" Elijah asked the last remaining wolf who was clearly a scaredy-cat, "You want to take a shot?"

Skyler took her chance, stepping into the room with a dangerous smirk pointed at the wolf, "Come on, do it." She urged, ready to kill someone. Wanting to kill someone.

"No? Yes? No?" Elijah questioned as the wolf shook his head, "Where's the girl?"

"I don't know." Damon told them.

"She ran." Skyler scowled, "She's a coward."

"It doesn't really matter." Elijah commented, punching the wolf so hard his neck snapped back.

"Okay that's it," She huffed in a fit of rage, "If I don't get to kill someone soon I'm gonna go crazy and kill the whole town."

Elijah and Damon glanced at her in mixtures of concern and exasperation before Elijah snapped Damon's restraints off with ease. "So you realize this is the third time I've saved your life now?" He asked smugly as he stepped back. Damon only shook his head in disbelief, the original walked away unbothered, grabbing the moonstone on the way out.

"I leave for a few hours." Skyler scolded as she approached her brother, "And you get kidnapped."

"Oh sorry, next time I'll sign a little letter, say 'I do not wish to be kidnapped today,' they'll definitely listen to it." Damon responded sarcastically, rolling his eyes, "Where were you anyway?"

"I was about to have lunch before a wolf rudely interrupted it and Elijah came in and snapped his neck." Skyler lied, trying to figure out how to get the collar off of her brother as she bent down to examine his neck.

"You needed Elijah's help to take down one little mutt?"

Skyler glared, scowling at her brother, "At least I didn't get kidnapped by them." He shrugged, any response he might have come up with was left unsaid as she snapped the collar off his neck.
