Kang Taehyun was born on Friday, February 5. His father had been very happy that the child was a boy, while his mother was angry he wasn't a girl.

But everything turned out fine. Although she wouldn't hold or even take care of the baby. His dad did though. He loved Taehyun more than anything in the world. He was so happy Taehyun was his son.

When they went home about a week later, everything was still fine other than his mother was harldy ever home. And when she was she'd stay in her room. Yeah 'her' room, she made Taehyun and her hunsband sleep in one of the many guest bedrooms.

He didn't care though, it meant he'd get to spend more time with his son without having to hear his wife complain.

When Taehyun was two years old, he was very bright for his age. He knew something was off between his parents and his suspicions were proven a month later when his mother ended up leaving, claiming that raising a boy was too stressful and that he was too annoying.

And his father became depressed because of that but he took care of Taehyun everyday. He made sure he was fed and taken care of when he wasn't home. He also made sure Taehyun got the education he needed.

He tried to spend as much time with him as he could now that he had double the work to do in the kingdom.

It was hard but he managed, his son kept him going.

At the age of 10, Taehyun already had many talents. He was incredibly smart, he could sing, dance, rap, play the guitar, the piano, the violin, and he could even perform magic tricks (something his father wasn't very fond of after he'd caught one of his books on fire).

His father was just thankful that he none of those things interfered with him learning the ways and traditions of the kingdom.

Two years later his father finally decides that it's time to find himself a new queen.

Although Taehyun wasn't exactly ready yet, he didn't say anything as he wanted his father to find happiness again.

But he started to regret that once his father actually found someone three months later.

She was horrible. She tried telling Taehyun what he can and can't do. Hell, she even tried to send him to boarding school. His father didn't like that one bit but he stayed with her.

She then started messing the things up, which were part of Taehyun's duty, purposly so his father would think he did it.

Which he did.

His father was always nice but since she's come into the picture, he's been mean, ignorant, and crazy.

𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 13, 2022...Present Time

As of now, Taehyun is 17 years old. He is supposed to be crowned king once he turns 18, but first, he needs to find himself a queen to rule with him.

But what he has never told anymore, not even his father, is that he wants to find himself a king so they can rule together.

That's right, Taehyun's gay. He just knows that if he was to tell anyone; they wouldn't like or love him anymore. But he does know that if his father had never met 'that woman' he would have probably accepted him.

But since he's with that bitch, he most likely won't, and he doesn't want to take the chance of losing his father as well.

Right now he is on a 'date' with the 12th princess since a week ago.

Yeah, he's very picky, plus he doesn't want a 'queen'.

So he has been declining every princess his father and 'stepmother' have forced on him, hoping they'd eventually get the memo.

They still haven't. Obviously.

"You don't seem to be very interested," she pointed out.

"Well, I am only here because I was forced to be, not because I want to be. Plus, I don't even want a queen, my parents want me to have one,"I snapped, rolling my eyes.

"Okay. Well, if I'm being honest I don't want a king... Ever since my parents found out I was into girls they started making be go on these dates. You're the 16th boy my mom has set me up with. I actually have someone I love, her name is Jessi, she's my personal maid. I have a picture of her if you want to see?" she asked.

"Sure I guess," I mumbled.

She took out a picture from her hair clip and showed it to me.

"Wow... She's so pretty."

"I know right! She's very sassy though. It's one of my favorite things about her," she smiled.

"Ok well I need to go, I have to get ready for the ball tonight. I have no idea why my father decided to have one, but we are. I hope to see you there if possible," I smiled back.

"I will try, but no promises," she winked.

"Bye Princess Hwasa," I bowed and waved.

"Bye Prince Taehyun." she did the same before I walked out to my limo.

This ball better be worth my time...
