"ARSALAN, IF YOU DON'T PUT HER DOWN THIS INSTANT, THEN-" an indignant voice thundered right beside his ear, making him flinch. He rolled his eyes, knowing it was his wife, Rubaab Arsalan Shah. Rubaab was asleep when she stopped feeling the presence of her husband. She sighed in disappointment. No, she was not disappointed that he was with his daughter, but she was disappointed that after being in flight for many hours, he returned back and was jet-legged, but he wasn't putting down his daughter, his Noor-Ul-Ain! He should be asleep, getting his sleep schedule in line, but no one listens to her nowadays.
"Come on, Rubaab, I'm seeing my dil ka tukra after so many days... I just can't get enough of her," she sighed when hearing her husband whining like a child. Rubaab and Arsalan were reunited after so many prayers. It was after some time of their rukhsati when Rubaab suddenly got the baby fever and wanted a child. But Allah had other plans, as they couldn't conceive, due to Arsalan not being healed properly, and maybe Allah had different plans.
After a week, Alia went into premature labor and gave birth to a beautiful baby-boy, Fawad Faizan Shah. Even though born premature, he was already so beautiful and complete. He was the firstborn of Shah's and was extremely loved and pampered by others. Then, after a month, Rimhsa went into labor, who also gave birth to two beautiful sets of twin boys, Aryan and Arsal Ali Shah. Both were named after their dada jaan (late), who wanted two more boys but didn't get the opportunity. Adil wanted to have more kids and name them similar to Adil.
They didn't have any kind of easy journey; Rubaab was returned from Germany along with the tantrum of their nosey rishtedaar. Not conceiving was another problem for them. Five to six years had passed since they married, even though they (rishtedar) didn't know that they never had any intimate relationship, but who would stop their rubbish.
Arsalan was worried that their words would rub Rubaab off in a wrong way, but he was extremely surprised by seeing the maturity of Rubaab and the way she handled every word thrown at her. It was now after ten years of an almost happy marriage; there stood an simp 36-year-old Arsalan with a 28-year-old Rubaab glaring at him for being disturbed and disturbing their daughter's sleep as well.
"I know you were away jaan, but you need to have rest. Noor-Ul-Ain is a toddler, and you want me to take care of a toddler with a fake toddler Arsalan?" Arsalan huffed childishly and carefully placed his daughter on her baby cot.
"You are lucky I listen to you because of my daughter... Warna darta nhi hun mai tumse," on which Rubaab let out a sarcastic chuckle and said, "g g ... Sab janti hun mai, ab chalen or rest karen."
(I am not afraid of you)
(Yes I know now lets go)
Dropping Arsalan to their room, Rubaab went to the kitchen. Rubaab looked at the kitchen's setup, and her eyes got filled up like always. Haseena always wanted to see her children's children, but unfortunately, she died before she could see Noor-Ul-Ain. All of them were devastated, especially Karim Shah, who couldn't digest the fact that his wife, his soulmate, was no more with him.
It was extremely hard for him to continue living; after the 5th month of Haseena's death, he went away to her in his sleep, leaving his now two sons to take care of everything. She quickly wiped her tears away, knowing that others must be coming to help her make breakfast. They still follow the tradition of cooking together and eating early.
"Arhan, if you pull Arsal's hair one more time, then I'm telling Badi Mama about you," she heard Fawad telling Arhan. Fawad was now seven years old along with the twins who were just one month younger than him, but they respect him like their elder brother.
"Badi Mama... Dekhen ye donon kab se lar rahe hain.. or ye tayar bhi nhi horahe the school ke lie," Fawad saw Rubaab and complained about the twins. Who, hearing that their Badi Mama with a personality like the headmistress of the school, was there, stilled. Rubaab was soft towards babies, but she was the only one who could discipline them. She loved them all, but she had to be strict. She turned out to be most different!
(Badi mama look they are fighting and they were not getting ready for school)
"No Arhan, bhai hai na lag gai to. Say sorry to him," Arhan pouted but still said sorry to Arsal. Leaning until his height, Rubaab ruffled his hair and gave him a peck on his head before saying, "chalo nashte k lie betho... " Rubaab had problems during her pregnancy.
(No arhan, bhai will get hurt)
(Now lets sit for breakfast)
She was criticized for it. But it went out of control when, after two months of Noor's birth, Rubaab fell from the bed in her sleep; the impact was hard that it caused problems in her, and that led to her never being pregnant again.
She was devastated and insecure. She suggested Arsalan remarry, knowing that her husband lives for her. Arsalan was happy with his life and never once blamed Rubaab, but she was already insecure and knowing that Arsalan being the head of his company. Must need an heir. She suggested so many things, others did too. But he was adamant in his words.
Ali was the COO, and he has two sons. Arsalan never had any problem with that and was proud to say that his sister's son will be taking care of the business his nana jaan created.
She was leaning against the rooftop railing. Looking at the night sky. It was a peaceful environment. Noori was with her phuppo who insisted on letting her have a sleepover with her bhateeji. She had so many fears. One of them was being alone in this world. After her parent's death, she would always be thankful to her phuppo for giving her Arsalan; Arsalan was the man any girl would die to have. And she has him all.
Arsalan didn't find her anywhere, so he went to the rooftop and saw her lost in her thoughts. Smiling, he moved towards her and hugged her from the back. Rubaab didn't hesitate to lean back, already knowing that no one would dare to touch her other than Arsalan...
"Kya soch rahi ho?" Arsalan asked in a gentle voice, smiling Rubaab answered, "yehi... K agar ap meri zindagi mai nhi ate... To pata nhi kahan hoti mai." Arsalan hummed.
(What are you thinking)
(The same, if you were not with me, i dont know where would I have been)
"Meri jan... Ap hamesha se mere nam k sath likhi hui thin... Kisi na kisi tarha apko mere pass hi ana tha," he said in an amused voice. Turning around, Rubaab faced him. His eyes were filled with love and adorations; she loves his eyes. They had stars in them.. the stars that make her calm, cupping his face. She tiptoed slightly and slightly placed her lips on his. They both stayed as it is for a while before Arsalan put the pressure on their kiss.
(You were written beside my name, you had to come to me, in one way or another)
Like always, it left Rubaab with weak knees and breathless, "I love you, Rubaab... Thank you for coming into my life... You are my life meri jaan... I can't believe we have completed so many years together... Happy 11th-year anniversary Meri jan... The best day of my life."
Rubaab smiled and said, "THANK YOU for being my husband, Arsalan... You are a gem, but I won't mind having it for myself... And won't mind having you now."
Arsalan laughed loudly at his cheeky and bold wife's comment before asking, "where's Noori?" the suggestiveness in his voice had her breathing heavily with blushing cheeks .."apni phuppo k sath.... Poori rat" biting his lips Arsalan placed them on hers...
(With her phuppo, for whole night)
Taking them into another earth-shattering kiss. Arsalan took his wife with all the love he felt for her, he took her like how she deserved!
In the embrace of a star-lit night, Arsalan and Rubaab found solace, their journey through trials and tribulations finally culminating in a blissful union. Despite weathering storms that tested the very fabric of their bond, their love emerged stronger, resilient, and unyielding.
The echoes of their laughter danced through the air as they reminisced about the hurdles they conquered. Arsalan, once devastated by loss and tragedy, now stood with Rubaab by his side, a testament to the healing power of time and unwavering love.
Rubaab, who had faced insecurities and challenges, had blossomed into a woman of strength and grace. The scars of the past were not erased but transformed into badges of resilience, marking the journey that led them to this moment.
Their home, once haunted by sorrow, now echoed with the joyful laughter of their children – Fawad, Aryan, and Arsal. Noor-Ul-Ain, their precious daughter, added an extra layer of warmth to their family, a symbol of their enduring commitment to each other.
As they laid on the ground, gazing at the stars that witnessed their struggles and victories, Arsalan whispered, "Rubaab, we made it through the darkest nights. Our love was the compass that guided us. I can't imagine this journey with anyone else."
Rubaab, her eyes reflecting the glow of contentment, responded, "Arsalan, you're my anchor, my refuge. Together, we turned the pages of our story, and here we are, in our happy ending. Every trial was a stepping stone to this moment."
Their love story, once marked by uncertainty, had evolved into a tapestry of shared joys and triumphs. Hand in hand, Arsalan and Rubaab walked into the next chapter of their lives, grateful for the scars that bore witness to the battles they fought and the love that conquered
