In the initial phase of their marriage, Arsalan and Rubaab delighted in their shared evenings, whether it was a leisurely stroll, hand in hand, or indulging in simple joys like ice cream and dinners. Arsalan cherished the companionship of having Rubaab as his mehram, and their happiness echoed through these moments.

Despite the overall joy, Anabia posed a challenge to the newlyweds. Her taunts, often delivered when no one else was around, had a profound impact on Rubaab, bringing her to tears. Anabia, in turn, attributed her behavior to missing her parents, using it as a shield against Arsalan's inquiries.

Arsalan, respecting Rubaab's deep connection with her parents, chose to trust her rather than push for explanations. Meanwhile, Aliya, having abandoned her pursuit of Arsalan, redirected her efforts toward making Rubaab's life difficult.

The domestic front witnessed peculiar disruptions – Rubaab's efforts were met with mysterious mishaps, be it clothes inexplicably burning during ironing or culinary endeavors sabotaged with excess salt and spices. Aliya seemed to derive amusement from the chaos she orchestrated.

In the midst of this, Saim and Sana emerged as Rubaab's steadfast companions, offering friendship and solace during the hours when the couple was apart. Alone with her thoughts during college hours, Rubaab contemplated the idea of pursuing education, contemplating discussing this with Arsalan as a means to strengthen their connection.

The intricate interplay of emotions painted a complex portrait of happiness, trust, and challenges in the budding marriage of Arsalan and Rubaab, each day revealing new layers in their evolving story.

In the morning glow, Rubaab sat on Arsalan's bed while he bustled around, preparing for his office. It had become their ritual, him making her sit in front of him as he readied himself—a comforting routine in the early hours that reflected the warmth of their bond. Numerous habits had woven their lives together, creating an intimate tapestry.

Their mornings began with shared prayers, Arsalan leading, and an unspoken anticipation for dinner when he returned late. "Arsalan, mujhe bhook lag rahi hai... chalein na neeche," she playfully whined, evoking a smile from him. "Ji, meri jaan... Aj apne jaldi nahi uthaya dekho, mujhe kitni der hogai hai," he remarked, securing a watch around his wrist. "Finish... now let's go, hungry bird," he teased, his eyes dancing with affection.

(Arsalan, I am hungry, lets go)
(Yes my love, look thats what happen when you dont wake me up early)

Hand in hand, they descended the stairs, only to find Anabia and Haseena embroiled in a heated argument. Silently, they took their seats at the dining table, side by side.

"Ye acha hai... hamare liye to aisa koi rule nahi tha... hum bhi itne bade nahi the," Saima commented, addressing Haseena. "Maine kisi se koi kaam nahi kraya tha... Wo ammi jaan thin... Tumhari or meri saas jinhon ne kaha tha... Meri bachi k peeche kyun par rahi ho... tumse kon kehta hai poore ghar ka banao khana or konsa tum banati bhi ho," Saima gasped, glancing at her husband, who kept his head down.

(Thats good, we never had these rules, we were not old either)
(It was not me, i never made anyone of you work, it was our mother in law, do not speak of my child like that, if you have problem doing anything, dont do it— when do you even)

"Dekho... kaise inhone 1 din mein meri poori zindagi ki mehnat zaya kardi," Adeel sighed, seeking support from his elder brother, who remained silent. "Or tum Rubaab... dekho ab tumhari wajah se ghar mein laraiyan bhi shuru hogai... koi sharam bhi hai tumhe?" Rubaab, seated quietly beside Arsalan, flinched at the accusation.

(Did you see how she wasted all my life!)
(And you rubaab, look because of you, we all are fighting, do you not have any shame)

"M-maine k-kya k-kia?" she stuttered.

(What did I do?)

"Nahi, tumne kuch kyun karna hai, tum to Arsalan ki perfect biwi ho, the innocent Rubaab who has never done anything wrong," Saima spat without considering Karim Shah, who had grown weary of the banter. Slamming his hand on the table, he intervened, "Apni had mein raho, Anabia... Pehle bhi samjhaya tha, ab bhi samjha raha hun... Or Adeel, apni biwi ko kabu mein rakho!"

(No, you did nothing wrong)
(Keep your tone down anabia, I already told you and its last time, adeel, control your wife)

Adeel glared at his sister and wife. Karim Shah had warned them never to speak ill of his bahu, yet their understanding remained elusive. Saima now sat in silence, confronted by the authoritative voice of Karim Shah.

"Anabia... Hamari Rubaab itni bari nahi hui ki wo koi abhi ghar ki zimmedari uthae... or ghar mein kafi mulazmaem hain... agar khana banane mein itna takalluf hai to apne bacho ke lie banao bas... Baki apne intezam kar lenge," Karim Shah stated, addressing Anabia's concerns.

(Our rubaab is not that elder that will do any work and there are alot of maids that can do the work, if you all have problem making food, just don't do it)

Now the conversation centered on Rubaab, who was clueless about the accusations. Arsalan finally spoke up, "Abbu... agar ghar mein sabko is tarah Rubaab se problem rahegi, then I'm afraid I can't stay here anymore... Mai us ghar mein nahi rahunga jahan meri biwi ko koi sukoon se rehne na de." Rubaab's eyes widened in surprise at his declaration.

(Abbu if everyone will continue to have problems with rubaab, I am afraid I wont stay here)

"Koi kahin nahi jaega is ghar se! Mera ghar tha ye or ab tumhara hai, Arsalan! Jisko is ghar mein Rubaab se masla hai, wo chale jaaye yahan se," declared Karim Shah, his loyalty to the house and business apparent.

(No one is leaving, it's your house arsalan. If someone has a problem with rubaab, they can leave)

"A-Abbu aap m-meri w-wajah s-se naraz na h-hon...mai k-koshish karungi kai mai ammi kai sath kaam karaun?" Rubaab hesitantly spoke up, not wanting conflict over her presence.

(Dont fight cause of me, I will try helping them)

Karim Shah sighed and gestured for Rubaab to come to him, which she did quietly. Standing beside him, she felt his arm around her shoulder, and he looked down at her with affection. "Ap meri beti ho! Or jese meri beti is ghar mein rahegi, ap bhi aise rahogi! Koi zaroorat nahi hai koi kaam karne ki! Bas apne par or apni parhai par tawajjah do!"

(You are my daughter, like my own daughter and you will stay like she does. You have no need to worry about these stuffs, just focus on your studies)

Turning towards Arsalan, Karim Shah continued, "Or Arsalan... Rubaab ka Sana or Saim k college mein admission kara do or sath institute mein bhi... kal se bacho ke sath jani chahiye take kisi ko koi problem na ho." His words were directed towards Anabia and Saima, who looked down, seemingly unrepentant.

(And arsalan, admit her in both college and institute, she should go with them!)

"Gi Abbu... aj hi hojaega... fikar mat karen... Or mai chalta hun office, ammi ka khayal rakhna," Arsalan said to his mother, secretly gesturing for Rubaab to come with him.

(Yes abbu, I will do it and I am leaving, take care)

They walked toward the baramda, and Arsalan pulled Rubaab towards him, holding her waist. She placed her hand on his chest and looked up at him, lips forming a pout. "Kisi ki koi baat dil par nahi lena, okay meri jaan? You are the queen of my heart and this home. You aren't here to do any work," he declared, grabbing her hand while still holding her close. "Or ye haath mujhe pyar karne ke liye bane hain, bartan kapre dhonay ke liye nahi! Hmm?"

(Dont take their words to your heart)
(And these hands are made to love me, not to do any work!)

Rubaab blushed and put her head on his chest. "Or agar koi kaam ka kahe to kehna. Sorry mere shohar nai mana kia hai k mai unko pyar karne ke ilawa koi aur kaam na karun!" Rubaab laughed and playfully hit him on his arm.

(And if anyone ask you do anything, tell them my husband said I am there to love him only)

"Sab mujhe bolenge... tumhara shohar to bohot besharam hai," she teased, smiling. Her heart soared at how effortlessly he made her laugh, how easy it was for him to make her happy. Did she do the same for him? Did she make him happy?

(Everyone will say my husband is shameless)

"Arey besharmi kya... biwi ho meri... haina?" he cheekily replied, making her laugh even more. Smiling, he kissed her on the forehead and cheeks before saying, "Now I'm late, okay... I'll just go, beautiful even though apko chorne ka dil nahi hai." He kissed her forehead once more, and she blushed, breathless at his departure.

(How shameless, you are my wife!)
(Even though I have no mood of leaving you)

Taking a deep breath, she composed herself and made her way to the dining room, oblivious to the envious eyes that followed her every move.
