Wanda Maximoff

version one of wedding imagine

y/n stood in front of the full length mirror. She stared at herself in her white dress that fit her body perfectly. The white lace veil draped over her hair falling down her back. She ran her hands down her sides smoothing out the dress.

"You look beautiful." Natasha said from the doorway. y/n looked up a little and saw her through the mirror in her lavender purple dress that went down to her knees.

"This doesn't feel right." y/n said nervously. Natasha furrowed her brows, and walked completely inside shutting the door behind her.

"What doesn't? The dress?" She questioned. "Because I just told you you look beautiful, you want another compliment?"

"No." y/n shook her head. She took a deep breath looking up as tears started to swell up in her eyes.

"Hey! No crying. That makeup took a long time." Natasha said trying to lighten the mood.

"Nat." y/n said her voice cracking.

"Hey, hey." Natasha grabbed her hands. "Everything is gonna be okay. You're gonna go out there and get married to Sharon, the woman you love and the woman who loves you." Natasha gave her hands a firm squeeze.

"Right." y/n nodded. "Yeah, I'm gonna get married." Natasha tilted her head to the side.

"Okay, tell me what's wrong." Natasha demanded. "I'm your maid of honor, and I'm gonna make sure you walk down that aisle feeling like the luckiest woman on earth, so tell me what's wrong so I can fix it."

"This was a mistake." y/n said. "I shouldn't be here."

"What?" Natasha questioned.

"I can't do this, Nat. This is wrong." y/n said holding back her tears.

"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" Natasha asked.

"I think so." y/n nodded her eyes widened. She didn't know what was happening or what she was doing, but she just went with what her gut was telling her to do, and that was to get the hell out of that place.

"Okay, let's go." Natasha said grabbing her purse.

"You're coming?" y/n asked.

"Of course I am. When I came became your maid of honor I told you I would do whatever you need, that included being a getaway driver." Natasha said. "Let's go." She grabbed y/n's hand pulling her out the door.

"Where are we gonna go?" y/n asked picking up her dress a bit so she could walk faster.

"The question is where do you wanna go?" Natasha asked. She opened the door to stairs that went to the back of the building, and they hurried down the stairs.

"I'm not sure." y/n said, but Natasha knew her better than that.

"Okay." Natasha nodded playing along. She had a feeling she knew where y/n wanted to go. She was her best friend after all, but she didn't want to say anything and accidentally set y/n off. She wanted to let y/n think this through. Natasha pushed the exit door open and looked around making sure no one was around before grabbing her car keys out of her bag and unlocking it. She hopped into the drivers seat while y/n got in on the passenger's side.

"Do you have a tissue?" y/n asked using her hand to wipe away the mascara that was running down her cheeks.

"Yeah, here." Natasha pulled a small pouch of tissues out of her purse and handed y/n one.

"I can't believe I'm doing this." y/n sighed. "Is this wrong? Should I go back in there?"

"You walked out for a reason. I don't think going back in there would be a good idea." Natasha said. "But if that's what you want then we'll go back in there and pretend this never happened." y/n stared out the window listening to Natasha. It was her choice. She could stay or she could run.

"Drive." y/n said.

Natasha and y/n sat in the parking lot of a seven-eleven, sipping on slushees. The two stayed silent as y/n stared into space lost in her thoughts. Natasha waited patiently for her to speak.

"I wanna see her." y/n said barely loud enough for Natasha to hear.

"Who's her?" Natasha asked fighting back the smirk that was itching to form on her lips.

"Wanda." y/n said. "I wanna see Wanda."

"Alright, let's go see Wanda." Natasha nodded putting the car in drive before backing out of the parking space.

The drive to Wanda's wasn't too far. The wedding had been held close to where they live, so no one had to go too far to attend. y/n was grateful for that decision now that she had just fled.

When Natasha stopped in front of Wanda's house, y/n stared at the door for minute. She didn't know what she was going to say to Wanda. She just felt like if she was with Wanda then she would feel better.

"Go." Natasha demanded unlocking the doors. "I'll wait out here." y/n nodded and pushed the door open stepping out of the car and slamming the door shut. She walked slowly up to the front door. She stood in front of it and hesitated at first. Maybe she shouldn't. Wanda might not even be home, but then she knew if she went back without checking Nat would beat her ass. She knocked three times and took a small step back.

"y/n?" Wanda said her voice filled with concern. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be at your wedding."

"I know, but I was getting ready and I started thinking about everything, and I couldn't go through with it." y/n explained.

"Why? Did something happen with Sharon?" Wanda grabbed her hand tightly.

"No, everything is with Sharon is perfect." y/n said. "It's just not what I want. I don't wanna be with Sharon."

"Oh." Wanda said surprised. She stayed quiet not knowing what to say. Wanda felt a little relieved, and she hated herself for it. She didn't wanna be that kind of person. She glanced behind y/n and saw a familiar red haired woman watching them. "I'm guessing Natasha helped you escape." She joked.

"She came prepared for everything. The perfect maid of honor." y/n chuckled.

"So why'd you come here?" Wanda asked. "Not that I don't want you here, but why did you?"

"Because I felt like I needed to be here." y/n answered. "I felt like I needed to be with you." She said with a small smile.

"Okay." Wanda nodded with a smile of her own. "You wanna come inside?"

"Uh, actually I wanna do something first." y/n said with a nervous look. Wanda nodded confused. y/n stared at her before pushing her nerves away and leaning forward smashing their lips together. Wanda let out a small gasp. She kissed back for a moment before pushing her away.

"Wait." Wanda mumbled.

"I'm sorry." y/n said quickly instantly feeling regret when Wanda pushed her away.

"No, it's not that. I want to kiss you. I do." Wanda said. "But you're still technically engaged. And as much as I wanna kiss you. I can't while you're with someone else." Wanda said.

"Oh, right." y/n mumbled.

"I'm sorry." Wanda apologized.

"No, don't be." y/n shook her head. "You're right. I need to properly end things with Sharon. It's not fair to her."

"Yeah." Wanda sighed.

"But once I do. Can I come back?" y/n asked.

"Yeah." Wanda nodded smiling.
