"I thought you were going home for Christmas?" - "Well, I couldn't leave you all alone"

y/n laid on her couch with a bag of chocolate and a bowl of popcorn both sitting on her stomach. Her eyes were glued to the tv that played Home Alone.

y/n had stayed at her apartment in New York for Christmas this year. After the big fight she had with her family, she figured it wouldn't be worth going just to argue the entire time.

A knock on her door made her head shoot up. She grabbed the popcorn and chocolate, and placed it on the coffee table before picking up the remote and pausing the movie. She walked to the door, and looked through the peephole. She was surprised when she saw the familiar long, dark hair that belonged to Kate Bishop.

"Kate?" y/n questioned opening the door. She moved aside upon seeing Kate's arms full.

"Grab this." Kate said holding out a box of pizza. y/n took the box from her, and Kate hurried to the table dropping everything on top of it.

"What are you doing here?" y/n asked closing the door, and walking over to stand by Kate.

"You don't want me here?" Kate asked.

"No, it's not that." y/n shook her head. "I thought you were going home for Christmas?"

"Well, I couldn't leave you all alone." Kate shrugged.

"Your mom will want you at home." y/n said.

"It's not a big deal." Kate said. "If she wants me home that bad, I'll drive there on Christmas."

"That's a two hour drive." y/n smiled amused.

"Well, I want to be with you on Christmas." Kate said. "If I go home I'll just have to go to stupid business parties, and talk to people I don't like, so can we please just eat some pizza, watch Christmas movies, and then make hot chocolate?" Kate asked.

"Yeah, we can." y/n nodded making Kate smile and clap her hands together.

"Great!" Kate grabbed the box of pizza and y/n's hand, and walked over to the couch. "I'm starving. Let's eat."

After watching Hawkeye, this prompt was being written for Kate no matter what.
