Reyna leaned against the wall with her arms crossed, her eyes were resting on the small group across the street from her. Dominic Toretto was bragging to a couple of random girls with Leticia Ortiz glaring at them while Vince stood next to Mia Toretto. Dominic locked gazes with Reyna and smile slightly as he walked over to her, "Hey Rey." She couldn't find the strength to smile, "They're gone, Dom. My mother and Benny are dead." Dom pulled Reyna into a hug.

Reyna tried so hard to fight the tears but they betrayed her, she broke down in Dom's arms. "I got you, Rey. Let it out." Reyna let Dominic hold her as she cried until she couldn't anymore. He pulled away from her and smiled sadly, "Let's go for a drive." She nodded before walking over to Dominic's car, she climbed into the passenger seat while Dom spoke with the others. She wiped down her eyes and cheeks before pulling on her sweater to cover her hands.

Dom got into the car and turned to Reyna, "Just watch the road, Rey." She nodded at Dom before leaning back in the seat, she kept her eyes on the road for a while until she fell asleep. Dom drove them back home, he carried her inside before calling her dad to let him know where she was. Mia and Letty looked at Reyna as Vince pulled the blanket on her, "We have your back always Reyna. Till the end." Vince kissed her head before they walked out of her room.

A few days later Reyna and Dominic's crew excluding Vince were at the garage working. "What about parts and service?" Mia questioned her brother as she looks at some paperwork. Dom looked at Mia, "Hold off on it." Reyna and Mia looked at each other before Mia turned to Dom, "Dom, I don't know what to do with it." Reyna watches as a tow truck backs up in front of the garage with a totalled car on it. "I'll handle it later," Dom spoke before walking over.

Reyna followed behind Dom as Brian approached them, "What do you got there?" Dom questioned. "This is your car," Brian responded making Reyna smirk. Dom stands up straighter, "My car?" He questioned as Jesse hit the car. Reyna walked over and ran her fingers across the dirt, "We said a 10-second car, not a 10-minute car." Reyna spoke as she looked at Brian who simply shrugged.

Jesse nudged Reyna, "You could push this across the finish line, or tow it." Letty laughed at Jesse's comment as Reyna walked up to Brian, "You couldn't even tow it across the finish line." Brian smirked at Reyna's comment, "No faith." Reyna raised an eyebrow before nodding slightly, turning to look at Dom. "I have faith in you, but this isn't a junkyard. This is a garage," Dom spoke gaining Brian's attention from Reyna.

Brian looked at Jesse as he spoke, "Pop the hood." Reyna crossed her arms against her chest as Brian looked at her and Dom. "Pop the hood?" Dom questioned making Brian smile, "Pop the hood." They got the car off the tow truck and into the garage, Brian stood next to Reyna as she and Jesse popped the hood only to be left shocked, "2Jz engine. Nice." Reyna says as she looks at Brian who was smiling impressed by her knowledge.

Brian looked at Dom, "And what did I tell you?" Brian smirked as Dom nodded, "We retract our previous statements." Jesse and Reyna did their handshake before looking at the engine, "You know what? This will decimate all after you put about $15,000 in it." Jesse says with Reyna nodding in agreement with him. Reyna looked at Dom, "Or more if we have to overnight parts from Japan."

"We'll put it on my tab at Harry's," Dom says as he turned to Brian. "I gotta get you racing again so I can make some money off your ass," Dom tells Brian. "There's a show down in the desert called Race Wars. That's where you'll do it. When you're not working at Harry's, you're working here. If you can't fight the right tool in this garage, Mr Arizona, you don't belong near a car." Dom walked away from Brian as he turned to Reyna, "He owns you now." She smirked at Brian before turning to Jesse.

The next day after taking the car apart Reyna and Jesse went to Harry's to get the parts they needed. "Tell me what you think about this," Jesse says as he puts a disc into the computer with Reyna looking over his shoulder. "Koni adjustable. Gonna save us about two pounds. And they're gonna give us better traction for the holeshot." Jesse continued as Brian approached looking at it with them.

Reyna nodded, "All right, this is your basic layout of the car. And that's pretty much what it could look like when it's finished. Red, Green." Reyna looked at Brian as he smiled while Jesse nodded in agreement with Reyna. "You both should be going to MIT or something," Brian tells them, impressed by their skills.

Reyna never saw the interest in college, unlike Mia who was majoring in nursing. Reyna would rather spend all of her time in a garage or behind the wheel, that's where she truly belonged and she only hoped to open her own garage one day where she wouldn't rip people off. She was good with computers, she had been picked up for hacking before but she was happy with her life.

"No, I got that... what's it called? That attention disorder..." Jesse began to explain making Reyna smile softly as she placed her hand on his shoulder, "ADD, bud." Jesse smiled at Reyna before looking at Brian, "Yes, that shit. Yeah. You know, I was good in algebra and like math and shit. Everything else I failed. Dropped out of school. I don't know. It's just something about engines that calms me down, you know." Reyna understood what Jesse meant, she nodded in agreement.

Reyna nudged Brian before looking at Jesse, "Alright, let's head home. We got our Sunday barbecue and I'm hungry." Jesse nodded as he got up and said bye to Harry. Reyna got their things together before giving Harry a hug and headed outside. Jesse drove off in his car, Brian turned to Reyna with a smile as he spoke, "Guess I'm riding with you then." Reyna laughed and nodded.

They arrived at the Toretto household and began helping out. Reyna and Jesse were talking as Letty, Leon and Vince pulled up to the house. "I'm outta here," Vince says as he spots Brian, he handed Leon his bags before turning to walk away. "Vince!" Reyna called out but he waved her off making her scoff before walking away.

Reyna headed inside to get changed for the barbecue, she had decided on something simple for today. She brushed through her hair and curled it slightly before applying some light makeup. She made her way into Mia's room catching her put on some makeup, "You know, you're naturally beautiful without that." Mia smiled at Reyna, "I'd say the same about you. But that dress looks beautiful."

Both girls made their way into the kitchen as Brian walked in, shocked by the beauty of both girls. "Need a hand?" Brian asked as Mia blushed lightly. "Of course, Buster. This way," Reyna responded making him roll his eyes with a smile. "Mia! Rey!" Dom's voice caught their attention, "The chicken's dry!" Reyna laughed at Mia as she rolled her eyes.

They made their way towards the back door, "All right. We're coming out already." Mia says as she carried out a bowl of rolls followed by Reyna carrying a salad and the girls had Brian and Jesse carry out the beers. "Beautiful," Dom said as Mia walked past him, Reyna kissed Dom's cheek before hugging Letty. Reyna sat down in between Jesse and Brian, she smiled at Brian before side hugging Jesse.

Jesse grabbed a piece of chicken making Reyna smile and nudge him, "Hey, hold up." Dom pointed at Jesse with a smile, "Because you were the first to reach in to get chicken, you say grace." Reyna smiled at Mia and Letty before putting her hands together. "Dear heavenly..." Jesse began, "Spirit," Leon says helping him out. "Spirit. Thank you," Jesse says making Reyna smile.

Reyna turned her head to Brian and smiled noticing his gaze on Mia as Jesse continued, "Thank you for providing us with a direct port nitrous injection, four-core intercoolers and ball-bearing turbos and titanium valve springs. Thank you." Reyna, Leon and Letty cheered together as Dom nodded, "Not bad." Reyna shook her head as Letty spoke, "He was praying to the car gods, man." Reyna pointed to Letty, "We gotta show our appreciation, Letty." They all laughed as they began helping themselves with the food.

"Look who it is. "Old Coyotes 'R' us"," Leon says catching everyone's attention to see Vince walking over. "I thought you weren't hungry, pumpkin," Letty spoke while smirking as Reyna smiled, "He's always hungry." Both girls smiled at each other as Dom told Vince to sit down. Vince kissed the top of Dom's head respectfully before walking towards his seat across from Brian, "How you doing, Mia?" Vince asked.

Vince picked up Brian's beer, waterfalling some of it into his mouth before placing it back. Reyna shook her head slightly before watching Brian take a mouthful of the drink. "Let's eat some grub, man," Letty spoke as she pats Vince's back. Everyone dug into their food making small talk with each other as Reyna burns this moment into her mind, these are the moments that truly made her feel at home without the thrill behind the wheel.

Later that night everyone was in the lounge watching a movie, Brian and Mia were finishing off the dishes. Reyna rested her head on Jesse's shoulder as they laughed at the romantic comedy that Leon had chosen for the first movie of the night. Reyna watched as Vince got up and walked into the kitchen making her roll her eyes before looking at Dom who shook his head slightly.

Reyna yawned before kissing Jesse's cheek, "I'm off to bed for tonight." They all wished her goodnight as she walked into the kitchen for a bottle of water just in time to hear Vince's comment towards Brian. "Wear your favourite dress, 'cause when you're done, I'm putting you on the street where you belong, cutie." Reyna rolled her eyes at Vince's attitude.

Reyna smacked Vince across the back of his head, "Shut it!" Vince rubbed his head staying quiet as Reyna walked over to Mia, "I'm crashing for the night." Mia smiled before hugging Reyna, "Night Rey." She smiled before turning to Brian, "See you tomorrow, Brian." She hugged Brian, "Sleep well, Rey." Reyna pulled away and winked at him before walking past Vince without a word heading upstairs.

Reyna slipped into shorts and a tank, climbing into her bed as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Rey?" Vince's voice made Reyna look over to her door to see Vince standing there. "What's up, V?" Reyna sat up and crossed her arms against her chest as Vince walked over and sat down on the bed. "I'm sorry for being childish," Vince shrugged making Rey sigh, "It gets irritating watching your possessive nature." Vince looked down knowing Reyna had a point.

Reyna moved closer to Vince and kissed the side of his head, "You'll find someone, V and she'll be able to handle you and your attitude." Vince smiled at Reyna before hugging her, "What would I do without you, Reyna?" She smiled brightly, "Crash and burn." Vince chuckled before holding out his fist, "Till the end." Reyna bumped his fist with a smile, "Till the end." He kissed her temple before getting up and leaving the room.

Reyna made herself comfortable in her bed before grabbing the photograph out of her top drawer. The photo had her, her father, her mother and her little brother, Benny in it when they were all happy and safe. Rey lightly brushed her fingers across the photo as tears fell down her face remembering the loss of her mother and brother as if it was yesterday. And the loss of her father as if it was just a few hours ago.

Reyna put the photo back while looking at the photo of the crew that was framed on her bedside table, she smiled at her new family knowing they'd always have her back. She laid back pulling the covers over her before closing her eyes listening to the laughter and chatter from downstairs until she fell asleep.
