47| Kill The Little Sister (Part 2)
Outskirts of the Capital, Giyo Forest
Walking in the calm of the moonlight in the forest, Akira and Akame, along with Fenrir, were walking along the dense forest. They were in the outskirts, heading to a secluded place. Akira had only been to the location a few times, but not as much as Akame.
The two held each other's hands along the way, the both of them gripping it tightly as they continued the journey. The rustling of grass, bushes, and the cracks of twigs filled the enveloping silence around them as they said not a word to each other. But there wasn't a need to say anything at all. Akame was looking for comfort, receiving just as much as she needed with Akira being right next to her. After all, it was a personal endeavor that she couldn't afford to fail right now.
Just as they were about to exit the forest, a large structure had come into view. Once they stopped at the end, Akame faced her partner.
Once more, nothing was said. She squeezed his hand tightly for reassurance. Reassurance for that no matter what happened during this mission, if Kurome died or lived to leave the Empire, he'd be there for her. Of course, Akira responded with the same amount of tightness she had given. His free hand reached up, caressing her cheek as Akame leaned into the comfort of his touch, closing her eyes as she calmly took in a deep breath and exhaled, repeating this process for a few more seconds. She then opened her red orbs, leaning up to give him a quick kiss before she departed.
Akira watched as Akame continued on alone, his hands quivering in nervousness. The wolf noticed it's master's gesture, whining as he nudges Akira's leg. The boy smiled and bent down to pet the wolf's head.
He had faith in her. He always did.
---
Akame took in her surroundings as she entered the structure. It was mostly dilapidated and left to ruin, vines and moss occurring all over it.
This place was where she made her last getaway. Where everything of the Elite Seven began to fall apart. And just a few meters away from here was where she had her battle with Gozuki, where she had ended his life and had a failed attempt of smuggling Kurome out with her. This place was also the last time she ever saw her friend Poney, to which she doesn't know where her current whereabouts are. In fact, she wasn't even sure if Poney was still alive or not.
The ravenette continued walking down the dirt path, her eyes lighting up as her gaze trailed upwards. Sitting upon a small monument of sorts was Kurome, her legs dangling off to the side as she hummed and gazed up at the moon. The black-haired girl had felt a presence, turning her head over as she let out a smile.
Kurome: "Sis!"
Akame: "...Kurome."
Kurome: (looks around) "Huh? I sense someone."
Akame: "I'm sorry. Three of my teammates are behind me. But they won't interfere with our fight. They'll only take on anyone who interrupts us. They understand what we want."
The black-haired girl narrowed her eyes a bit, turning to her sister if there were any indication or hint of a lie. While Akame kept a stoic look, Kurome could see it in her older sister's eyes. What she said was the truth, the three that had went with Akame were only standing guard at the outskirts and would only engage if someone were to interrupt them.
Seeing the confirmation, Kurome hummed as she hopped off the monument, walking up to her older sister.
Kurome: "So you've got people who will see you off. Got it. If you say so, Sis." (pulls out pouch of sweets) "I brought these. Want one?"
Akame: (smiles) "Sure."
As the two were now enjoying their sweets, on the outskirts of the structure were the other three. Leone, Akira, and Tatsumi were standing guard, the lioness and the reaper using their Teigus to sense if any other presences were nearby.
Leone: "Go figure. Now they're eating sweets."
Akira: "Not surprising. They've always been like this."
Tatsumi: "But still... What a strange relationship. Even though they're enemies, they trust each other."
Leone: "...I don't sense anyone else for now. But, we'll see."
Akira: "Right... Keep your senses peeled."
Back with the two sisters, they had now moved themselves to the roof of the structure. The two gazed out into the night horizon, reminiscing about the memories they had here. There were happy memories here... But mostly painful ones.
Kurome: "This brings back memories. We did a lot of training here after we were reunited."
Akame: "We did everything together. I even joined you during your baths."
Kurome: (giggles) "It was usually your idea. You'd even come to bed with me."
Akame: "Every day was tough. But it was because I was with you."
Kurome: "...Yeah." (hums in comfort) "Being here with you like this really calms me down. Let's stay together after this too. Sister."
Akame: "...Okay." (stern gaze) "If you come with me, we can be together forever."
Kurome had also held a serious gaze, clutching Yatsufusa in hand. She soon let out a small laugh, kicking her legs a bit.
Kurome: "I'm surprised, Sis. Considering your present position... You can't talk like that. I've got to prove how strong we are. How useful we are. We have to fight for the Empire!" (saddened eyes) "Otherwise... I'll feel too sorry for all those who've died."
Akame kept silent. Her red eyes drifted off to the side, her face having contorted and mirrored to a similar saddened look. She wondered if things had gone differently if she'd stayed in the Empire. She also wondered, something that she wished would never happen, if she stayed in the Empire while Akira had joined Night Raid instead.
She wondered if she would keep the same feelings she felt for him now. Though it was that kiss from before that made her think on it. But she soon pushed those thoughts away, turning her attention back to her sister.
Kurome: "You should come back to the Empire, Sis."
Akame: "...I can't do that."
Kurome: (hops off ledge) "I figured as much. I knew you'd say that, but I still find it funny."
Akame: "...Kurome."
Kurome: "You always were more stubborn than me. But... The way you fight to change the world for the betterment of the people. That devoted sister is the same one who I love."
The black-haired girl soon moved her free hand to the top of her head. She soon began to grind and scratch her hair rigorously, some of it even beginning to fall off. Akame had lightly gasped, but it wasn't enough for Kurome to hear. She didn't realize that Kurome's health had deteriorated to this level already.
The black-haired girl soon turned around with a crazed look on her face.
Kurome: "I can't forgive you, but I love you... My head's spinning over it. I don't want to let anyone else cut you down."
The red-eyed girl gritted her teeth in frustration. Of course, she had come to this place on this night to kill her sister. But if there was any slight possible chance, just even a small one that would allow her sister to come with her, Akame would gladly take it. Sadly, this wasn't the case. But she had prepared for this moment.
Akame: (thoughts) 'Kurome's right. The moment I made up my mind, I should have been ready for this too.'
Kurome: "I took an extra-strength dose before I left. So if you try to hold me down way you did when you left the Empire, it won't work."
Akame: (thoughts) '...That's right. I can't hold on to those feelings in the middle of this fight. Look what they reduced Esdeath to when she did... I must fortify my resolve.'
Akame took in a deep breath before she also hopped off the ledge and landed on the rooftop. The two sisters stood in front of each other, Akame's face now holding a serious gaze. She put a hand on Murasame, ready to draw it as Kurome widened her grin in delight.
Akame: "As of now, we are adversaries. If we're going to fight, I won't show any mercy. If you won't come with me, then... Kurome... You will rest in pieces."
Kurome: "You've flipped your switch. Then... Let's do this, Sis."
The two sisters now took their battle stances, a wind blowing through the area as it picked up a bit of dirt. A small smokescreen had appeared around their feet, soon disappearing as the wind picked it away. From the forest line, the three Night Raid assassins watched anxiously. Especially Akira. He was worried for either of their safety, but mostly Akame's.
As much as he wanted for the two sisters to leave this battle unscathed, both alive, it would be tremendous for him, bringing him great relief. But seeing as Kurome had outright rejected the proposal, there was no turning back now for the red-eyed girl. Kurome made her choice. And if killing her meant to bring peace for the Empire... So be it. The other two turned to look at him, the reaper's eyes glued to the scene intensely. They looked down to see his fists having been clenched, although maybe a bit too tightly as blood could be seen dripping from the edge of his knuckles, coming from the balled-up fists.
They could tell he was nervous. Who wouldn't be? But they had faith in their comrade. Faith that she would come out on top.
Kurome: "If I defeat you, it only means we'll get to be together forever. And I'll redeem myself." (hardened glare) "I'll show everyone that the 'non-select team' is just as strong."
Akame: "...I accept your spirit. Come at me! Kurome!"
Kurome: "Okay!"
The black-haired girl cried that out as she dashed forward, dirt and dust picking up. The ravenette's eyes had widened in surprise, seeing as her sister didn't activate her Teigu to summon her puppets. Akame raised up Murasame, sparks soon flying as Yatsufusa clashed against the demonic blade.
Kurome held a wicked grin whilst Akame gritted her teeth. They soon backed off before they rushed back toward each other again, clashing the blades of their Teigus as shockwave after shockwave occurred from the fight. The ground shook, the tree leaves being blown from the force that was emanating off the two. However, Akame was currently left on the defensive, parrying and blocking after blade strike from her younger sister. Kurome let out a loud yell as she raised Yatsufusa overhead, Akame soon dashing to the side. But the red-eyed girl grunted in pain, seeing as the tip of the blade was able to narrowly slice her at her arm. Blood flew in the air as Akame skidded to a considerable distance.
Kurome: "That's super-strength medicine for you. It's amazing! As I am now, I can defeat you, Sister!"
Akame: (thoughts) 'What kind of medication is that? I can't believe it can give her so much strength...!'
The black-haired girl raised her katana to her side, soon leaping off the ground again as she sped off to her older sister at high speed. Akame and Kurome were once again locked in another clash of strikes and slashes, moving at speeds that a normal human eye couldn't see. It was almost like a dance.
But this small dance would soon come to an end as Kurome swiftly does a horizontal slash. Akame didn't have time to avoid the strike fully, Kurome landed another shallow cut like she did with her arm. The red-eyed girl grunted and clicked her tongue in annoyance, coming to halt as she skidded back once more.
Kurome: "Another shallow cut. Does it hurt, Sis? Next time, I'll send you to rest for good."
Akame: "I won't be defeated. All this time, I've wielded Murasame like any other blade. Because if I relied too heavily on it being a Teigu and lost my swordsmanship abilities, I'd be dead. But this is the eleventh hour. I'll kill you with one blow." (hardened glare) "I will rely on all that my Teigu has to offer."
She was about to go onto another assault, but Kurome soon halted. She saw her sister don her familiar stance as usual, but she knew something was different.
Kurome: (thoughts) 'Hmm... She's going to try to graze me in any old spot, not just the vitals. She doesn't care about appearances. This is going to be bad.' "Fine! If you're going to rely on your Teigu, so will I!"
The black-haired girl soon kicked off the dirt and headed further away from her older sister. Akame saw this and quickly dashed off to try to close the gap. However, she was a tad bit slow, Kurome having stabbed her blade into the ground and yelled her Teigu's name.
All of her puppets had appeared, Doya, Natala, and Run, including some other minor ones. Three puppets charged for the red-eyed girl, one being a Danger Beast, the other an Imperial soldier, and the last one belonging to a shogunate-like warrior. Akame dashed past them and cut them into pieces like they were nothing, her gaze soon heading up to see Natala and Doya coming towards her.
Akame: (thoughts) 'Natala... Your body's a wreck after all the fighting you've been through. And her. Her hands are probably grafted from another corpse, so she can't fight at her full capacity.' "Rest in pieces!"
The ravenette yelled her signature kill switch, rushing past the two puppets as she sliced Natala's arm off and one of Doya's legs. Those strikes were enough to send them to the ground, unable to move as they could no longer be used. They could now rest.
Aside from the other minor puppets, there was still one last major obstacle. Run.
Thanks to his Teigu, Mastema, Run was able to hover over the battlefield at a considerable distance, sending down his feather projectiles, the blonde having them home in on her. But thanks to their previous encounter in Kyoroch, Akame had witnessed his speed and strength of them before. Because of this, she was able to counter the feather projectiles, deflecting them to the other puppets as she continued her charge.
Kurome was shocked by Akame's actions, seeing her puppets being whittled down so easily. She was soon knocked out of her shocked stance as she sees her older sister in front of her, leaping into the air as she readied to swing Murasame. She swung, the blade striking Yatsufusa as Kurome grunted, caused to skid backward. But Akame had soon rushed in for another strike, aiming to end the battle here. However, Run had appeared and took the blow for her, the blonde's face emotional as usual due to him being dead. Kurome had yet to issue an order for him, and yet he still acted due to his previous habit. The black-haired girl gazed around, seeing the motionless puppet bodies of Doya and Natala.
With a slight smile, she held up Yatsufusa and called the two back.
Kurome: "Thanks, you two. But I know it hurts to move now. ...I'll handle the rest."
As the spirits of the two began to enter the Teigu, Kurome felt some of her strength return to her. As she summons puppets to fight for her, her strength is decreased every time.
Once they had now disappeared, Kurome looked at her sister with an annoyed glare.
Kurome: "You threatened me with Murasame to make me activate Yatsufusa."
Akame: (sighs whilst shaking head) "Even though Yatsufusa brought eight more enemies into the fight, having to manage the extra players would have made you easier to fight. The only real trouble was the guy with the wings, but he's already dead. Unlike me, who was able to train against his aerial attacks, he's a dead body who can't grow and change. That's Yatsufusa's weakness."
Kurome: (smirk) "Then I really will have to come at you myself and defeat you."
The two took a small moment to take a breather, Kurome then resuming the fight as she slowly walked up to Akame. They soon dashed toward each other once more, once again engaging in another clash. However, Kurome noticed something while they fought.
Kurome: (thoughts) 'Huh!? My movements have slowed. But the medicine still ought to be working.'
Akame: "Activating Yatsufusa sapped your physical energy sharply."
Kurome: "Kuh!"
The black-haired girl grunted, parrying another slash from her older sister. The sound of their blades clashing and clanging one another filled the area, the three from the sidelines watching with pure nervous reactions. But Akira's and Leone's eyes soon widen as they darted their direction to the top of the structure.
Leaping off the roof clad in Grand Chariot was Wave. He had come to stop the fight.
Wave: "Kurome!"
She halted her attack upon hearing her name, looking up at her teammate in disbelief. In fact, she had frozen as she was surprised to see him here. She didn't expect for him to wake up from the blow she inflicted upon him.
Before Wave could react, Tatsumi had transformed into his evolved Incursio form and appeared above him. He then landed a kick to his gut, the man grunting and yelling in pain as he was sent downward, crashing into the ground. Then rocketing in from the treeline was Akira, who created an ice gauntlet on his right fist. Upon gazing at it, Akame's eyes had widened as she saw that her partner had made it form into Crushing King, the weapon of one of their former comrades.
The Ice Cold Reaper soon punched Wave in the chest, the ice gauntlet shattering into multiple shards. But the blow had dealt enough damage to him, sending Wave crashing through three pillars before hitting a wall.
Kurome: "Wave..."
Both Tatsumi and Akira landed in front of the blue-haired man, just a few feet away.
Tatsumi: "You've come to stop this fight, haven't you... Wave?"
Wave: (getting up) "That's right."
Tatsumi: "We're not letting anybody interrupt these two."
Akira: "And if you want to get to them, you'll have to get through us."
Wave: "I don't care. I'm putting a stop to this fight. Out of my way! I'm going to Kurome!"
With considerable speed and force, Wave blasted off the stone ground, shards and debris having been kicked off from where he was. The two steeled themselves, Akira creating an ice sword in one hand and a ice dagger in the other, Tatsumi soon donning a defensive stance.
Tatsumi: "Not on our watch!"
Wave: "If you two won't move, I'll make you!"
The icy blue-eyed teen slammed his foot on the ground, erupting an ice wall in front of him. But this was futile as Wave easily destroyed it, reeling his fist back as he prepared to thrust in another strike. In response, Tatsumi had rushed in and reeled his fist back as well. As they both thrust their respective fists, they collided, a massive shockwave and blast emanating off the two as a large crater was formed under them. The force of their strike could be felt by all of them, it being so powerful that they were nearly toppled over.
Wave: "I'm going to protect Kurome!"
Tatsumi: "But Kurome wants this fight!"
And like the two sisters, the two armored users from the respective sides were engaged in their own duel, the two exchanging punches. However, it wasn't long until Wave was overwhelmed, taking an uppercut to his chest by Tatsumi. The blue-haired man coughed and grunted, his body jolted as he was sent upward. From behind, Akira ran up to the Incursio user, Tatsumi quickly turned around and hoisted the reaper up.
With as much power as he could, Tatsumi had thrust Akira high into the air. Wave was still in shock from Tatsumi's attack, unable to react quickly as Akira summoned his Teigu into it's scythe form. Slashing at him multiple times, while not doing a lot of damage to him, Akira was able to wound Wave up a bit, soon ending his attack with a double kick to his armored face. He was soon sent crashing downward, Tatsumi meeting him on the way down and punching him in his chest again. Wave coughed up blood as he struck the ground below, Tatsumi soon landing with a thud.
Wave: (thoughts) 'Dammit... He's so strong... What happened to him...? His strength is nothing like the last time we fought. In just a few hits, I'm almost dead.'
Tatsumi: "If you're really concerned for your teammate, you should grant her her wish, no matter what form it takes. If you get back up again, even if you're not my target, I will put you down."
Hearing those words, Wave knew he couldn't take them lightly. He then saw Akira land next to him, having once more created another sword and dagger from his ice, the shockwave from both his and Tatsumi's attack having shattered the previous set. But still, Wave couldn't help but clench his armored hand in frustration.
When did Tatsumi get this strong?
Wave: (thoughts) '...Tatsumi. You're saying it ends here... But... But... I can't pull out!'
The blue-haired man's eyes soon wandered over to a motionless Run. Wave's eyes widened as soon as he spots Mastema on Run's back. This was how he found this area in the first place. Seeing him hovering in the air, it was like Run was guiding Wave here.
He soon began to crawl his way towards the motionless blonde, albeit it slowly as he was severely damaged.
Wave: (thoughts) 'I'm sorry for always making you take care of me. I just have one more request. Run.'
Tatsumi: "So you got back up. I won't show any mercy!"
The blonde-haired teen then dashed for him, Akira keeping his position the same. If Wave were to somehow bypass the Incursio user, he would be there to stop him for as long as possible. But Wave soon reached Run's body and latched a hand onto Mastema.
Wave: (thoughts) 'Lend me the power... Of Mastema!'
And by doing the forbidden rule Esdeath had told him about, Wave activated Mastema whilst he was still using Incursio. The only thing the blue-haired man felt was excruciating pain, feeling as his mind was breaking, his limbs being torn apart from the use of two Teigus at once. Tatsumi and Akira were in disbelief, seeing as Wave had decided to go that far.
Having now powered up, Wave put as much strength and energy into his legs. This was enough to reach Kurome, that much was true. He then jumped, blasting off into the air at a newfound insane speed that not even Tatsumi could catch up to. He soared high above the clouds, looking for a clear landing spot that would get him near Kurome. Tatsumi then summoned his spear, ready to end Wave's life and putting all of his strength into his attack. The blue-haired man simultaneously used Mastema's ability and Grand Chariot's ability for a combined technique, Grand Fall Fluegel Crush.
The Grand Chariot user soon rushed down, Tatsumi then thrusting his spear as he went to meet the head-on attack. Once the two attacks met, a shockwave on a greater scale than before occurred. It was like a blast of nuclear energy had erupted, a ball of destruction enveloping around the area. Akame and Kurome tried to ignore the other fight in order to continue their own duel.
Kurome prepared to rush again, but a jolting pain soon surged in her shoulder, causing her to grip it.
Akame: "It looks like the medicine you took before the fight wore off. At your peak, you'd surpassed me, but... Judging by your reaction, your strength is on the decline."
Kurome's eyes widen. As expected of her older sister to narrow the conclusion down. They knew each other well.
This was soon to be the final straw.
Akame: "The match is decided. You do realize that. Drop your sword, Kurome."
Kurome: (takes out pill case) "In that case, I'll just take more...!"
Akame: "Stop it!"
Kurome: "But this is the only way I know how to fight! It's what I've always done! If it means losing, then... I...!"
Akame: "Kurome...!"
Akira: "Shit...!"
The icy blue-eyed teen thought this would end badly. So he ends up dashing for his partner, to whom was running to her little sister in worry. Kurome was about to pop another strength pill into her mouth before an arm lunged forward and snatched the pill case out of her hand.
Wave: "Wait!"
Kurome: "Wave!?"
Wave: "Up to now... There've been plenty of times I wasn't on the field with you when it mattered most..." (crushes pill) "But not this time!"
Kurome: "Why...!?"
Tatsumi soon landed on the ground.
Tatsumi: "Get away from them, Wave!"
Wave: "I won't. I'm ending this fight and taking Kurome back with me."
Tatsumi: "I told you. Kurome wants to settle things here."
Kurome: "...It's true, Wave. I know you've come to stop me as one of my teammates, but... That... Won't make me happy."
She was still defiant. Wave stared at her with slight anger, but his expression softened. He then dropped the pill case, which clattered to the ground and the pills scattered, the blue-haired man making his way to her.
Wave: "The old me would've probably said he was stopping you out of concern as a fellow teammate. But now it's different."
Kurome was confused as to what he meant. She was about to speak up and question him, but she soon found herself surprised, his sudden action making her freeze up. He hugged her, but also gave her a confession as to what he truly felt about her.
Wave: "I love you, Kurome. That's why I'm stopping you. I'm gonna protect you!"
Kurome: "H-Huh?"
Wave: "That kiss... Opened something inside of me. A feeling I've always bored deep down ever since I joined the team. And now I realize." (smiles) "I don't only care about you as a teammate. I love you for the girl that you are."
Kurome: "Wh-Wha...?"
The red-eyed girl was intrigued by the sudden revelation. But she kept her stoic look as she suppressed some hints of angered emotions, marching up to the man.
Akame: "Protect her? And just how are you going to do that?"
Wave: "Kurome and I will leave the Empire. We'll go to those hot springs and focus on rehabilitating her."
Akame: "I thought you said you were going to change the Empire from the inside."
Wave: "...I wasn't lying when I said that. I truly did believe it. I'd plan on working hard to follow the path Run pointed out to me. But more important than that... But more important than anything is Kurome. She's the most important thing to me now. If I'd stayed as I was... Only wanting to save Kurome because we're teammates, my feelings would've never reached her! ...And she'd eventually die." (determined glare) "That's why I'm taking responsibility for ending this fight. I'm staying with Kurome from now on! That's what I've decided. When a man of the sea falls in love, he dives right into it!"
Kurome: "How dare you say all this without even discussing it with me, Wave? I'm happy you want to stay with me, but... I can't just abandon the Empire."
Wave: "It's fine. You've done a good job. I'll forgive you!"
Kurome: "Wha...!?"
Akame: "If you're leaving the Empire, come with us."
Wave: "I can't. I don't want to fight the same teachers I owe everything to. I have zero intention of joining the Rebel Army. Kurome and I are stepping down from this fight."
Akame: (shocked) "Then you're not joining either side..."
Akira: "You know that means you can't return to the Capital, right? The final battle will ensue there. And I doubt the Revolutionary Army HQ will allow you two to take refuge there. You'd basically be giving up everything at this point."
Wave: "That's right. We're abandoning everything and deserting. But I'm okay with it. As long as I get to be with Kurome... That's all I need."
Kurome kept clutching her head, unraveling as she wasn't sure what to do.
Tatsumi: "So you love her that much."
Wave: "I do. I realize how I feel... How passionately I care about her."
Tatsumi: "No wonder you were so driven in the fight."
Leone soon appeared with Fenrir, the blonde woman transformed into Lionel.
Leone: "We looked out for other intruders, but didn't find anyone. He came alone. You used up one of your transformations, Tatsumi. But getting rid of two Jaeger members at once is a major battle achievement. That'll mean a whole lot fewer deaths, eh?"
Wave: "Akame. Please abandon this fight. And entrust me with your little sister! I swear I'll make her happy!"
The ravenette pondered his words before she nodded in reply.
Akame: "Kurome is cuter than anyone...or anything. It's only natural that you fell in love with her. Kurome. It all depends on how you feel about it. If you say you want to fight. I'll take you on. But everything that's been proposed thus far has been said on your behalf. You decide."
However, she couldn't. Her head kept throbbing, voices inside her head telling her to keep fighting. To finish the mission she set off to do.
Kurome: "I can't. Abandoning the Empire... Is just..."
She then swiftly backed up, grabbing Yatsufusa as she prepared to draw it once more.
Kurome: "I won't have it. I've lost so many friends already. All this time... I've worked so hard for the Empire."
Wave: "You don't have to worry about that anymore. The moment you rejected me, I stole you away by force, kicking and screaming."
Kurome: "Wave...?"
Before she had time to react, Wave had went past her and grabbed Yatsufusa out of her hands. He then did the unexpected, transforming into Grand Chariot and breaking her Teigu into smaller shards and pieces. All of them were surprised at his action.
Wave then swooped her off her feet, kissing her deeply.
Wave: "You can say goodbye to all those dead bodies now, Kurome. And if you ever miss them, I'll make you forget all about them. So come and follow me."
When he released their kiss, she was panting heavily, Kurome sporting a huge blush. He looked down at her confusedly.
Wave: "Kurome..."
Kurome: "Even though you're saying all these nice things... My head's still such a mess, it feels like it'll split. So, please. Take me away and make it so I don't have to think about anything else but you, Wave..."
Wave: (smiles) "I will!"
Akame: "Kurome..." (closes eyes) "I see..."
The ravenette soon felt someone come up behind her. She knew who it was, immediately leaning into him as he wrapped an around her shoulder.
Akame was content now, as was Akira. Not only did she survive the battle, but Kurome survived as well. Wave had changed it. He took the situation where one of the sisters would die and threw away everything to change the outcome.
