As a civilian, Emery is a light-skinned male with jet-black hair that is slowly growing out of its short stage and a light beige bow tie on alongside his gray v-shaped sweater and matching undershirt. He regularly has black earrings on though later on, Emery will switch to the store-brought Ladybug earrings.

In addition, he wears his black denim jeans and his brown loafers which his youngest sister refers to as "old man shoes". Lastly, Emery is always spotted with his blackberry framed glasses, a camera and a forest-green colored book bag slung over his left shoulder.

Carefree, laidback and a passionate person at heart, Emery usually tends to go with the flow. Despite his carefree persona, Emery is protective of those he loves, especially with his youngest sister, Lorelei whom he would literally die for [even if she wouldn't return the favor] as he truly cares about her, no matter what their parents might say.

Unlike his family though, Emery is more open-minded towards their rivals, the Lopez's family [owned by Sci-Briana17] as he doesn't share their judgmental mind nor their hatred. In addition, he isn't one for violence as Emery looks for peaceful alternatives, which is another thing he does not share with his little sister.

Furthermore, Emery is a hard worker as he is always finding ways to provide for his family since returning from college. Especially since he personally feels the need to get him and Lorelei away from their toxic parents, which becomes solidified once their parents encourage Lorelei to continue with her eating disorder.

Behind his caring nature though, Emery is just like his sister in a sense as he too suffers from their parents' toxic behavior. Having been gaslighted his entire life, he tends to think lowly of himself. Believing his major wasn't good enough for them [as it would later turn out, he was right], he tends to feel ashamed of himself for going against their wishes.

While his sister blindly follows their parents' orders though, Emery has been away long enough to see through their lies and deceptions... just to a certain extent, at least.

1. Emery went to the same college as Iris Lopez [OC belongs to Sci-Briana17] but he never talked to her, always quietly observing as he was afraid she would instantly hate him for being a Schindler. He finally gets the courage to talk to her when she drops by one of his jobs.

2. Although not mentioned, Emery does have Acrophobia, otherwise known as a fear of heights. He developed this fear after his father failed to catch him, nearly falling to his death at a young age. However, this fear gets put to the test various times in terms of his sister and most recently his crush, Iris Lopez [OC belongs to Sci-Briana17].

3. Emery has to wear glasses due to his poor vision, a trait he inherited from his parents (who both wear glasses) unlike his younger sister, who was blessed with perfect vision.

4. Unlike his youngest sister and his parents who are strongly against the Lopez's family, Emery does not share their hatred. More so, he views Iris and her family [owned by Sci-Briana17] as equals, wanting to befriend each member on his own terms to end their rivalry.
