Days went by. Y/n hardly saw Alexa anymore because she was busy sneaking out with Ryan, but she spent her afternoons rehearsing with the band and hanging out with them.

She usually hang out with Alex to see clothing stores or stayed with Reggie and comforted him for the disappointments of love for Alexa. But her favourite part was going out whole afternoons, even until late evening, with Luke. They usually went to the beach for walks, laughed and joked, or wrote songs and went to their favourite music store. The blue- eyed boy had also taught her to use his guitar.

Y/n was standing in front of her locker when Alex and Reggie joined her.
"Hey guys"
"Hey, how did the philosophy exam go?"
She showed them a paper with a big B+
"Good! I knew you could do it. I did it for you" Reggie handed her a drawing that looked like it was done by a child
"I love it, thanks Reggie" She left him a kiss on the cheek
He blushed

Luke looked at his friends from his locker, smiled to see the girl smile. His thoughts were interrupted by a figure of a boy who stopped in front of him.
"This weekend there will be the party at my house, make sure y/n will be there"
"Oh, yes, sure... Listen, I'm not sure-"
"Oh I understand, you want more money"
Ryan pulled out a hundred dollar
"I'm counting on you man"

Luke took the money and sighed.
"Hi Luke"
He looked up
"Oh, hi Clary"
"Do you want to hang out with me tonight?"
"Oh ehm... Sorry but my band and I have a performance"
"Oh, where? Maybe I could come"
"Sure, will be great, is in the club behind school"
She nodded
Luke looked y/n and Clarissa noticed it
"Oh you are in love"
"W- What?"
"With my dance classmate. She's not so good at dance"
"I'm not in love"
"Of course not, you are paid to hang out with her"
His eyes widened
"How-"
"I listened the boy before"
"Please don't tell her"
"Okay, but only if you hang out with me"
He bit his lip
"Fine... This evening before the performance"
She smiled
"See you then"

Y/n and the guys joined Luke
"Hey rosy- cheeks, guys..."
"Hey, you look upset, are you ok?" The girl asked
He tried to smile
"Yes"
"Loooook, I took B+ at the exam!"
He smiled sincerely at the girl
"Oh rosy- cheeks is a nerd, I'm so proud of you"
Luke ruffled her hair

That afternoon, y/n was in the garage with Alex and Reggie.
"Luke is late"
"Don't worry, y/n, he will arrive"
"Listen, we have something to tell you" said Alex
"What?"
"Tonight will be your debut as a member of the band. We will perform in a club behind the school"
Her eyes widened
"When were you going to tell me?! This evening on the stage?!"
"Maybe?"

Luke entered the garage and lay on the couch.
Y/n turned around to met his face
"Oh god, rosy- cheeks you are so pale"
"I'm going to vomit"
"Woah woah woah"
He got up quickly and hugged her
"What's wrong?"
"We told her she will perform tonight" Said Reg
"Hey, you will be good, you are amazing"
His blue eyes met hers
"I will be next to you all the time"
She smiled feeling safe

The band started rehearsing
"What song will be play tonight?"
"What about finally free? It's one of the songs we wrote together" Said Luke
Y/n smiled
"Yes, it's a great idea"

After rehearsals ended, y/n took Luke's guitar and began playing. Luke smiled. He found the girl adorable. He walked over her and wrapped his arms around her. Their eyes met and remained so for what seemed like eternity. Y/n looked at his lips but immediately looked away, blushing. Luke scratches the back of his neck, then looked at the clock on the wall.
"I'm late!"
"For what?"
"Where are you going?"
"See you at the club, I promise! Remember rosy- cheeks, I will be next to you"

Alex, Reggie and y/n were behind the scenes. Y/n kept walking in the room, nervous. Alex played with his drum sticks and Reggie was fixing his hair.
"Don't worry, he will come"
Y/n sighed
"It's a duet, I can't do it alone"
"You can"
"Yeah but it will be sad"
"A bit"

"Sunset curve, on the stage, now" A man said
Alex and Reggie went next to the girl
"Maybe he is not here now, but we are. We will be next to you and we will help if you need us"
"Thank you guys, it's just... He promised..."
Alex hugged her and Reggie joined him
"Now let's go and show to all out there your power!"
Y/n giggled

Y/n took the mic nervously, she saw a lot of people the only person she wanted to see wasn't there.
"H- Hi?"
Reggie looked Alex and decided to help the girl
"We are the sunset curve, tell your friends"
Y/n smiled and when the two boys started to play, she closed her eyes and started to sing.

Luke went to Clarissa's home, took her out to dinner and then for a walk on the beach. She took his hand.
"The moon is so beautiful tonight"
"Uhm, yes. Wait- what time is it?"
"Uhm, like ten or something"
"Shit, I'm late!"
"Hey! What about me? You can't leave me here alone!"
"Let's go then"

When he arrived, it was too late. Numerous people were clapping to the band and saying things like "Great", "Very good!"
Reggie and Alex stood next to y/n
"You did it!"
"We, we did it"
She hugged them and they went behind the scene
Luke followed them
"Hey... Guys..."
They turned around
"Luke, were where you?!" Said Reggie
"Sorry, I had a thing to do..."
He looked at the girl at the end of the room and went to her
"Listen, rosy-"
Y/n looked behind him
"Is she the thing you were supposed to do?"
Everyone looked at the girl at the door, Clarissa

"Oh sorry, I didn't want to interrupt the conversation. Even though Luke and I couldn't hear you because we hang out together, I'm sure you did well"
Y/n went out of the room and ran into the street

The dark sky was covered with clouds, a sign that it would rain soon
Luke followed her
"Y/n, wait!"
She turned around
"What!"
"I'm sorry ok? I didn't-"
"Stop! You promised! I don't care if you hang out with all the girls in the school, but it was my first performance, I was nervous and you knew it! You said that you would be by mi side to help me, instead you were with the girl I hate the most in the world!"
"Listen..."
"No Luke, when I said that you only cared about your music I was wrong, you only care about you. Leave me alone"
A tear fell on her face while she ran home, leaving the boy there alone
